4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"I found authentic Korean-Chinese fusion in an unassuming strip-mall setting: super-spicy jjampong, a terrific gan jajangmyeon (less soupy, less goopy black bean noodles), and a slightly smoky beef chow fun blistered on the wok — old-school Chinese cooking at its finest in the South Bay." - Eater Staff

Google
The tangsuyuk sauce was quite thin, and the shrimp dish lacked flavor. The service, however, was excellent. We were a bit disappointed that fortune cookies were not available.

Kamen T.

Google
Absolutely tasty "homemade style" dishes, wonderful genuinely friendly/helpful staff (not the insincere smiling for just tips). Thr only bummed is an hour or more drive from my city. But the long commute is worth every penny

I love this restaurant the food is really good and the environment is excellent

Our first lunch in LA🥰Really a great experience! Their sweet and sour pork lunch special ($16) is served with white rice / fried rice (your choice!), soup, and a fried spring roll. Highly recommend it especially you like sweet and sour flavor!😋Great portion and delicious taste! The Jajongmyeon ($13) also worth a try. And they can help to split the noodle into two portions with an additional fee of $0.5. Don’t worry about the portion, it’s a lot!!! Don’t worry about the taste, it’s delicious!!! Don’t worry about the price, it’s fair!!!

Update: This place never disappoints. The food taste is consistent and hit the spots each time. Tried majority of their lunch special and I can say - you can't go wrong here. Few things I highly recommend trying: - "Mixed vegetable dish" - it's HUGE, has mustard sauce (for a little zing, but can request to be on a side if you do not like it), thinly sliced vegetables and meat. All mixed and tied together with super chew (translucent) noodles - Garlic Fried Chicken - super flavorful (Korean) fried chicken. Just be careful when eating the it as there are crushed bones. Highly recommend the place. A hidden gem in a tiny plaza, that's close by shopping markets. Swing by here to get lunch/dinner after your groceries. We tried 3 dishes and all were delicious. - Jia Jiang Mian - noodles in black soybean sauce and small chunk of pork (they have vegetarian version too). The sauce is on a more "watery" side and lighter flavored than other place I have eaten. However, the sauce clings well to super springy noodles (very al dente) and sweet onions are nice, tender, and sweet. It was a nice change and hit my craving for this dish as it paired super well with - Sweet and Sour pork - the pieces were super crispy and there is plenty of them in the serving. The sour/sweet sauce was well balanced and not too over powering. As to veggies, your usual suspects of green peppers, onions, and pineapple. - Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) - I got this mild, but all I can say is... GET IT. It has super deep seafood flavor, smoky, well seasoned. I can say the ingredients were cooked in the wok first then noodles + soup was added in the bowl. Highly recommend. I also thoroughly enjoyed their homemade kimchi and serving of hot tea. The prices for the area is adequate and I will definitely coming back to try more dishes. PS. They can split the order of (both) noodles for easy sharing from the kitchen.

Daniel L.

Google
A restaurant with delicious Jjamppong. If you order 2 Jjamppong and 2 Jjajang for a family of 4 and ask to share, you can each share 4 Jjamppong and Jjajang. We also ordered pork tangsuyuk on the side, the amount will be enough. I think I'll just order 4 Jjamppong next time instead since it was better. It's okay if you don't order Jjajangmyeon.

Sean K.

Google
The best Sam Sun JjamPong in the California Bokhaeru’s Samsun Jjamppong is absolutely incredible. The noodles have the perfect thickness, the seafood — especially the shrimp and sea cucumber — is generously portioned, and the smoky wok flavor is just amazing. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best jjamppong in California.

Google
I placed my order by phone ahead of time, but it still took 40 minutes for the food to come out. When it was finally served, the staff practically threw it on the table, causing the soup to spill. The jjajangmyeon only tasted like plain black bean paste. The service has been frustrating every time I visit, but I still gave tips out of courtesy. Today, I decided not to leave a tip because the experience was unacceptable — and the staff even confronted me about it. Extremely disappointing

Yelp
I've been going here for the last 25 years. When I was in my late teens, my dad would order food from here when I first tried it and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Now living in OC, I visit South Bay Area sometimes just for the food here. Still fantastic when I tried it earlier in the year 2025!

Yelp
I'm so upset at myself for not having come here sooner! As a life-long Gardena resident it's only now that I've missed out on so many great places so I'm doing my part to visit local food places every Friday. This Friday (September 19, 2025) my friend and I came here. There are two rooms for sitting and we were sat in the 2nd dining room with the AC going (thank you Little China) nothing fancy but just a homey atmosphere. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and convinced my friend that we should order "meal for two A". We each picked our own entree (almond chicken and sweet&sour pork) and added the fried dumpling appetizer too. The A meal comes with wonton soup, pork fried rice, and fried wontons & egg rolls. All this and we received some kimchi banchan! We were not expecting a feast! The wonton soup was warm and flavorful with plump wontons and bamboo shoots, and peas...just so good! What I so appreciated about the food was that nothing was coated in a heavy sauce for the sake of coating things in a sauce. At Little China the food is the main character and that's what you're going to enjoy. The almond chicken was didn't skimp on the almonds. The sweet & sour pork was so crispy and the batter didn't get soggy in the sauce, just so perfectly balanced. The pork fried rice, HEAVEN!!! When you come to Little China. you're going to have an amazing food experience. I already can't wait to go back. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, very soon!

Yelp
I always place a large order over the phone here at little china during my lunch break for myself and my coworkers, and it's always ready on time. The food is prepared perfectly every time, and they never miss any condiments or utensils. Great service every time.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is fresh and flavorful. Love their noodle soup and fried dumplings! Spicy noodle soup is a must try.

Yelp
Korean Chinese food is such a bop. You can't convince me otherwise. Is it the healthiest? No but who cares, live to eat, not eat to live right? So where do we even start. Get the tangsuyuk, kkanpung saeu, jajangmyeon, and jjamppong. Tangsuyuk, fried chicken, is a staple for any Korean Chinese restaurant. Crispy and juicy with some of that amazing sweet and sour sauce to go along with it. You just can't go wrong with it. Kkanpung saeu, fried shrimp, is equally amazing. Crispy and juicy and bursting with flavor, I had to restrain myself lest my future father in law gets mad at me for eating it all. Oops. Jajangmyeon is the classic. This black bean noodle is more korean but it's got the essentials. Plenty of black bean sauce, bits of meat, and noodles for days. It's hard to mess jajangmyeon up. My favorite would probably be jjamppong though. This seafood noodle was not too spicy but just jammed pack full of seafood and what not. Each bite left me sniffly but wanting more and more. I had stains all over my shirt and pants afterward if that's any indication of how much I liked it. So there you go, this hole in the wall restaurant is fantastic, eat here on many occasions if you can. The workers mostly speak Chinese, not so much Korean, but English will get you by too.
google avatar

Nora H.

Yelp
Great service! Workers know multiple different languages and are very efficient. They are also very friendly with children. Food comes out fast, hot, and delicious every time. Their menu is huge so there will always be something to enjoy regardless of differing tastes. Id recommend getting a few dishes and splitting with everyone, its served family style anyways. The black bean noodles and seafood soup are some of our favorites.

Yelp
don't know why the overall review is so low... this place definitely has great korean chinese food!! there's a lot of seating and the servers were so nice. my family and i took a while to order but the guy there was super patient with us and even helped us pick out our menu. the food... SO GOOD. here's what i've tried: sizzling rice soup omg... i was not expecting this to be so good. my mom ordered this and i ended up eating more of it then her. it's an interesting porridge dish; the rice comes fried and the worker puts it in the soup, where it makes a sizzling noise (hence the name). it had various seafood in it and it was so scrumptious... jajangmyeon (noodle with bean sauce) wow. i usually don't like jajangmyeon but this had me scraping every bit on the bowl. the noodles were cooked to perfection. the portion is big so if you ask them to divide into half, they'll do it for you!! kkanpung saeu (fried shrimp with garlic sauce) scrumptious. great sauce, the shrimp is crispy and overall, it's just flavorful. this place is amazing; will def come back next time and try other dishes as well!!

Yelp
Great food and awesome service. Good and fast. Great ambiance. definitely a place to try here in Gardena

Yelp
Hands down my favorite Korean Chinese restaurant for black bean noodles - jja jang myun. When you walk into a Chinese restaurants and they seem to have never bought new furnitures since the 80s... that means it's the spot! It's our family's GO TO. We usually order: - jja jang myun - we get the bigger size "go bbae gi" and ask for them to split it into two bowls - jjang bbong- spicy seafood noodle soup - "yackee mandu" - pan fried dumplings - sweet and sour pork - spicy "kanpoong" shrimp - yellow onion pork stir fry with bread - book kyung chicken - spicy fried chicken We love so many things from this place
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
This hole-in-the-wall gem in Gardena was a pleasant surprise. Chinese-Korean fusion food. A family-oriented spot where you feel like you're being served by mom. You are taken care of while dining. The Sliced Fish with Garlic Sauce (#109) along with the Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce (#122) were both excellent choices!
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
Updating to 5 Stars. Better food, better service. This restaurant is full of customers. Best place to eat for big gatherings.

Peter Y.

Yelp
After the prices have increased, chose not eat out anymore. Food menu increase, employee pay not increase that led me no more eat out. Rather eat samyang or shin ramyon for lunch.

Tim. S.

Yelp
Food, selection and service was great.Eat the combo dinner for two, best value. At about $30 per person I felt it was a good deal.
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
The restaurant could use a bit of a renovation, but honestly, that just adds to the charm. It has that classic South Bay Korean restaurant nostalgia that instantly takes you back. The food was great--everything came out fast, hot, and super flavorful. We had the garlic shrimp, jjajangmyun, and tangsooyook, and they were all legit. Portions were generous, and the service was friendly and quick. If you're craving solid Korean-Chinese comfort food, this spot hits the mark. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
Tried this out hoping that we found a hole in the wall to get our Jajang Myung cravings fix. It didn't hit the mark for us. I thought the jajang tasted quite bland. Tang soo yook tasted pretty good, but overall pretty underwhelming experience for the price. The restaurant is pretty dated and underwhelming. I'd suggest checking out the spot by hanamchain in Torrance.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for Korean-Chinese fusion food in Gardena, this is a great place to try. This place has always been our default to feed a large group. Parking can get crazy during rush hour, but you can do street parking if available. Most of their dishes can be shared family style. Also, a great place to celebrate for special occasions and holidays. This is one of the few places that opens during major holidays. I'd call just to make sure as things can change. The Food: Again portions are meant for family style. Our usual go-tos are 1. giang-jang mein (black bean noodle), 2. giang-pong (spicy seafood-pork noodle soup), 3. sweet-sour pork (tang soo yook) or shrimp (gaong-poong tang soo yook), 4. Mongolian beef, and 5. steamed buns. The top 3 ranked as mentioned above are a must for us on every visit. It's pretty filling. The rest for pure gluttony. 1. Giang-jang mein (black bean noodle) - this is a popular must-try for a Korean-Chinese fusion. The black bean sauce includes sautéed diced pork and veggies. It's very savory. Fave for all ages especially my kids. Portions are huge. You can request to have them split the portion in half for 2 ppl if one is much. 2. Giang-pong (spicy seafood-pork noodle soup) - if you're craving something spicy, seafoody and soupy, this one's perfect. This spicy noodle soup has chopped veggies, squid, and pork. Portion is huge so it's def. shareable. You can split this in half with someone else in exchange for their other half bowl of giang-jang mein. Best of both worlds. 3. Sweet and sour pork or fried shrimp - both are great side dishes to pair with your main dish. It's savory and sweet. FYI, the sweet and sour pork is more on the sweeter side with chunks of pineapple. My kids love it. The fried shrimp version is slightly sweet but a bit of spiciness from the red chili peppers in it. Sharing is caring on these ones as well. 4. Mongolian beef - my wife's fave. The sautéed meat with green onion is cooked to perfection. Eating it by itself may be on the salty side, so balance it out with a bed of white rice (upon request). 5. Steamed buns - oh... can't leave without trying their freshly steamed buns. It's soft with a slight hint of sweetness. You can sometimes catch yourself unknowingly dipping the bun into the sweet and sour pork sauce and bopping your head uncontrollably while biting into it. I won't judge you if you do. The Service: Service is quick. Food comes out quick. Don't expect them to bring you hot towels or salt bae your Mongolian beef. This is NOT that place. Just come here to eat. The Ambiance: The inside may feel like your typical Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Foods usually taste the best in such places. If you're expecting a 5-star uppity restaurant, I'd advise you to keep Yelping to find one. Otherwise, come here to gorge yourself with some good ol' Korean-Chinese comfort food. All in all, if you're looking for a good Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant in Gardena, def. try out this place. Portions are huge enough to feed a large group. They are usually open majors holidays but call ahead to double check. You're welcome.

Yelp
the food was bland. i get better tasting food at Panda Xpress. the mongolian beef was so thin and tasted a bit fishy and like it was breaded. Is it supposed to be? The coated chicken for the sweet n sour chicken was also bland but i guess thats why they give you the syrup. But there was more coating than chicken. the decent part of the meal was the pork chowmein and i dont even like chowmein. Definitely NOT worth the price. for 2 of us...$80 including an unwarranted 15% tip. i ordered online for pick up. i am literally walking distance from this place. i get to the place and i hear "YES!" twice, didnt know i was the one the lady at the front was yelling at. told her online pic up,she read off the order then she went to the register. without looking at me she read off the amt, i got my food and i said thank you, nothing from this lady. SHE WAS SO RUDE. bad 1st impression. will NOT return. there are nicer places closer even Panda...and theyre nicer too. dont recommend.

Yelp
Oophs we did it again! First stop for my husband as he craves his childhood Chinese Korean food and this place delivers all the time. Busy lunch hour, however the staffs are friendly and the food comes out quickly. They have a great system. We started with the friend dumplings, batter is chewy and the outside is crunchy and not to mention the pork filling is plenty. Non spicy noodle soup is perfect with seafood and noodles. Spicy version is also delicious with hearty noodles and spice level perfection for soup broth. Crunchy sweet & sour pork 탕수육 - you have an option to pour the sauce or sip it yourself. It's a nice option to have. Highlight of their menu is the black noodle, is perfectly chewy with black bean sauce that is tasty. Hope you get a chance to visit to enjoy the taste of Chinese-Korean dishes. Bon appetite!

Jae C.

Yelp
The best Korean Chinese restaurant in Southbay!!! No doubt. I have been going here since 1999 omg. Jjambbong is my favorite dish here and its always tasty!
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
This feels like it has more Korean influence than a Chinese restaurant that's more pure Chinese, has, albeit, it's advertised as such. I kind of feel like I separate my Korean cuisine and Chinese cravings as isolated experiences that I prefer or desire. With that, I'm not a huge fan of this, 'tho it's not innovative fusion per se, it's just a mixture of the cultures and cuisines. Parking is easy and the service was fast and friendly. They do have lunch specials too.
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
Get the Sweet and spicy chicken with bones (its a different sauce) Best dish here, everything else is solid. Eating inside its also nice service my current preferred spot for korean chinese in the area.
google avatar

Francisco D.

Yelp
Ok I feel really bad for calling them at 8:53pm to place an order (thinking they closed late) but was told they close at 9:00pm. I apologized but she was able to accommodate and accept my order!! I ordered the hot and sour soup, sweet and sour chicken (Chinese style), and the jjajangmyun. And honestly.....BOY THIS FOOD SLAPS I had no expectations what so ever but the food was 100% tasty!! The sauce for the jjajangmyun was on point and it was very well balanced with the noodles, the sweet and sour chicken was flavorful (chicken was really crispy), and the hot and sour soup was amazing!! Overall 11/10! Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and it will be my go to place from now on!!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
This is their XL (곱빼기) sweet and sour pork (탕수육). This was originally their normal size. I'm sad to have paid more than $36 for this.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Great place for quality Chinese cuisine. definitely visit this place if you want top notch, Chinese food at a fair price.
google avatar

Annie K.

Yelp
Decent Korean-chinese meal after thanksgiving! This place has a hole in the wall feel but definitely quality and care with the Korean and Chinese management. They r very friendly and available for service when u need them. Had the Egg Corn soup and Sauteed Happy Family to start while we were waiting for one more. Loved the egg corn soup .. very comforting. The happy family dinner was good as well. They split the jjajang myun for u which is great! Split a bigger size of it into 3 and it was more than enough for 3 ladies. Also ordered split the jjang ppong as well. It was pretty good. Enjoyed our meal and would def be back!
google avatar

Kayanne G.

Yelp
I've never been to a Korean-Chinese place that wasn't solely fusion. The food is quite good but I'm not sure the prices are worth it. The ambience is like every chinese restaurant. Outdated, old-school--the type my family would always eat at and it feels familiar. The service is good, and everything was made to order. I feel like the staff is aware that some customers might be a bit confused when coming here for the first time and they're happy to clarify anything. We tried a few different things and weren't disappointed.
google avatar

Hyunjin B.

Yelp

Yelp
This Korean-style Chinese Restaurant is on Western Avenue between 182nd Street and Artesia Boulevard. Your parking should be easy as there is a medium-sized parking lot; however, it may be hard to find a spot during busy lunch or dinner time hours. As usual with many Korean-styled Chinese restaurants, their menu includes Jajangmyeon (A Korean noddle dish topped with a thick sauce made of black beans, diced pork, and vegetables. Variants of the dish use seafood or other meats.) and Jjamppong (A Korean noodle soup with red, spicy seafood or pork based broth flavored with chili powder.) Other than noodles, one of their popular dishes is Kung Pao Shrimp at this place. It is rare to find a Chinese-Korean restaurant in a Southbay area. As such, this fact makes this place a very special restaurant in this area of the town. You may also want to visit them during their lunch hours as they do offer lunchtime specials. This place may not be well-polished in some respects, but you will enjoy their authentic Korean-styled Chinese dishes!

Jennifer S H.

Yelp
Always with good food, we've been coming here for over 10 years and their food is always amazing! Just make sure to come at lunch hour and order from the lunch menu or it can get a little pricey.

Kara K.

Yelp
It doesn't taste good either. Lunch menu 18.69. I ordered it on the phone 30 minutes ago, but I waited again But there's a spring roll that I don't order, so it would have been better if you gave me more sweet and sour pork that I ordered. (Tangsuk) . Wow, that's really ridiculous. I'll never come back.
google avatar

Jenna J.

Yelp
This is the OG place for Jjajang Myun in the South Bay. The Chinese-Korean Grandma is still at the helm taking phone orders in Korean and English, cursing under her breath in Chinese at idiots ... LOVE IT! Can't go wrong items ... Jjajang Myun, Jjampong, Pork or Beef Tangsuyuk, Nanjawanze. The Jjajang Myun is better than Incheon.
google avatar

Jocelyn P.

Yelp
Pretty standard Korean-Chinese fare. They will satisfy your jja jang myun (black bean noodle) and tang soo yolk (sweet and sour pork) cravings from childhood. They are probably the only such restaurant in Torrance/Gardena area with the full menu of Korean-Chinese restaurants, like in Ktown LA. The only problem is they are definitely pricier than LA, once it's all said and done, and not quite as good. But can anyone really rival the tangsooyuk in ktown? Probably an unfair comparison. I'm grateful to have this full Korean Chinese restaurant in town. They are great for takeouts too. If you're unfamiliar with this type of food - kids love the black bean noodles. It's the perfect mild and tasty sauce over some yummy noodles, just be sure to mix it in well. My 4 year old devours hers!
google avatar

Miche'l S.

Yelp
Went here for dinner, it was my first time. It will be my last time ordered garlic fish and they brought shrimp with vegetables then said oh well do you want that instead my husband was so hungry he just ate it.but really wanted a completely different dish. Dumplings were nasty and extremely over priced. We spent $97 and I didn't even like this place. What a waste of money
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
Jjamppong three flavor hot noodle 4/5 Jajangmyeon noodle with black bean sauce 5/5 fried shrimp with garlic sauce 5/5 Peking fried rice (combination beef, chicken, and shrimp) 4/5 Pan fried dumplings 4/5 One of the best korean Chinese restaurants in the south bay. Lunch special is served 7 days a week (11am to 3pm). Parking lot is rather small and gets full during peak hours. Raw onions, kimchi, and hot tea are included when you dine in.

Ceci C.

Yelp
The food is amazing as well as the service , the workers are respectful, fast, & amazing.

Print G.

Yelp
One of the best chinese food in gardena. Must try Jjamp pong and zzajang myeon. Service is friendly..
google avatar

Sean L.

Yelp
Comfort food right here if you crave Chinese food. Good amount of portion to feed hungry people. Moderate price but not too expensive. Servers don't talk much but very nice when you ask for more side dishes.
google avatar

Maribel G.

Yelp
Food is fresh. Not your average Chinese fast food. Authentic Chinese deliciousness. The service is friendly.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
This place is no frills and all about the food, the fresh kimchi is amazing and the black bean noodles are simply delicious, it is a traditional dish from what I understand, we also like the garlic shrimp and the deep fried green beans.
google avatar

Truman W.

Yelp
Came here for Xmas Eve lunch. My two favorite Chinese-Korean dishes -- spicy seafood noodle soup (海鮮炒馬面), dry braised chicken (幹烹雞) -- are as good as ever. The noodle broth got spicier but still addictingly delicious. The bone-in chicken is probably the best KFC (korean fried chicken) in the South Bay, combining Chinese and Korean flavors that are finger lickin' good.
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
Called this place by accident, so l gave it try. I ordered the combo fried rice, the rice was ok but in my opinion I wouldn't order it again, the Kimchi was good, I will try this place again and order something different

Father K.

Yelp
I ordered it because I heard there was a lot of food, but I'm still hungry after eating tang soo yook. I usually ordered a small one for other place 14 dollars, but that's enough either. But it's much more expensive here, but the amount is too small. And the kitchen environment is also dirty. That's why I ruined my day
google avatar

Ron K.

Yelp
Found this place randomly while searching for a good Chinese Restaurant in the South Bay. The food was decent. The combination fried rice was not as oily as I'm used so I was confused to whether it is great or just a lighter iteration lol Mongolian beef was really good. Chow mein was ok too. The fried pork dumplings were excellent. Service was quick. Food was ready in 15 mins. I think it's a good back up spot if your usual spot has long wait times.
google avatar

Shelton S.

Yelp
It's not the greatest food for the money. I would go down the street. It's better food elsewhere. The service is nice, it's just the food
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
I think this place is my favorite Korean Chinese restaurant in the South Bay area. Very delicious and rivals the best of Koreatown. I love their Jam pong and Tang soo yook.
google avatar

Rianne A.

Yelp
Love Little China! The three flavor noodle is a must-order and is the perfect warm soup to satisfy any cravings. Filled with kimchi, cabbage, pork, beef, squid, and various veggies, the broth has a rich and tasty flavor and the chewy noodles are both bouncy and delightful when eaten together. Other standouts are the jajangmyeon and the tangsuyook, the jajangmyeon being incredibly savory and umami, and the tangsuyook being crispy, fresh, and delicious! Definitely stop by if you're in Gardena and want a taste of some of the best Korean-Chinese food in the area!
google avatar

Daniel Dong-Kyu K.

Yelp
Never knew this place existed until recently. Food is pretty good, but not the best Korean-Chinese I've ever had. The Jjamppong was bland, but the noodles themselves were really good with good texture. The jjajangmyun was decent but on the saltier side. The fried shrimp with garlic sauce had good flavor, but it wasn't very crispy. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken in garlic sauce with the bone by the recommendation of the server. It had decent flavor, but there was too much bone in the chicken and hardly any meat. It was also waaaay too saucy. I wish there were more Korean-Chinese restaurants in the Southbay, but this will have to do for now.

Ida K.

Yelp
Love the food! We've been coming for decades. One of the best Korean Chinese places in the South Bay!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
We've been coming to this location for more than 10 years, food and service was great until the former owner sold it to another individual. From there it went downhill...the female staff (I believe she's the owner or manager or something) has been so rude ever since she came. After the pandemic started we went here twice, once when the lock down was eased and restaurants were allowed to have customers inside. At this time, the old staff members were still there and haven't changed which I was glad about. Prices were up but I shrugged it off, understanding the current situation. Now today, we had take out and it made it official to not go back here again for a long while. Why? 1.) The female staff charged me my three dishes at a la carte prices, WHEN I ORDERED THEM DURING LUNCH HOURS (11am - 3pm) --shouldn't it be obvious to charge your customer's orders at lunch prices during lunch time? If I want a la carte I would say so. I ended up paying nearly $70 for lunch. --called right after I came home and she had the nerve to tell me once I touched it I cannot return it. Well no duh?? I only wanted a partial refund but even that she did not oblige. The heated call was passed to one of the male servers (who's been there since the previous owner's management) and he finalized the debate by compensating us on our next visit. Which unfortunately won't happen... 2.) Ordered the Fried Chicken with special garlic sauce arranging it to the Korean-style (dry sauce with no bones), IT WAS LIKE I WAS EATING ROCKS??? If Yelp allowed for short video uploads I would've shown you all just how hard and dry the chicken was. --We usually order this every time we go to the restaurant but since it's take out only now I was shocked at how bad this dish became. It made me think this chicken was already prepared, re-fried the dish and served it. A huge disappointment. 3.) The moo-shu pork was soggy and the wraps were a disaster. Usually the wraps are firm and the fillings don't pop out easily but today's was bad. The fillings were pouring out from the thin, soggy wraps. We couldn't hold these properly at all. 4.) The woman who takes the calls ( short-hair, wearing glasses sometimes) needs to leave if she can't handle proper service. I was dumbfounded at how she was staring down at me while I was signing the receipt pressuring me to give them tip. Also she needs to stop having a disgruntled look. I do want to point out a few more things, but since I don't want the users to feel tired of reading this wall of words I'll end it for now. I hope management reads the reviews and work towards to fixing these issues.
