Unfortunately didn’t have the same impression as most. Outside seating and some inside. Music is awful, but not here for the music. Not a fan of their special drafts. “the island of lost souls” was almost undrinkable, like chocolate sludge. Should’ve tasted it first, charged $13.25 and returned it. The “last wolf” also very sweet. Couldn’t keep drinking them. The Bahkauv was refreshing. Infinite weaver, double IpA, was good as well.

This place kicks ass. Not a big IIPA or IIIPA guy but they had plenty of other beers to choose from, and the ones we had were obviously delicious. The pizza oven out front was awesome. But the soundtrack and decor really set this place apart. If you’re into metal this is a MUST GO. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Fantastic beers, awesome staff, great indoor space, covered outdoor seating, and frequent -and always delicious- local independent food vendors. Soundtrack of modern metal is constant but not deafening, permitting conversation about the taste suds you’re sipping. Kid and dog friendly. Accessible for mobility assistive technology. Dungeons & Dragons and other RPGs plus board games on-site and encouraged!

Diverse selection of quality draft and canned beers. Indoor and outdoor seating. Heavy metal music on the stereo system, horror movie screenings, and Halloween decorations give the venue a unique personality.

Awesome place, if your into heavy stouts and heavy music it's the place to go! (which I am). Basic outdoor patio space, great to hang out with people, They serve beers for almost everyone and not just big stouts and barley wines. If your into these types of beer it's a must to check out in the area! I finally made it this trip to down!

I’ve been to Little Cottage several times. It’s a great brewery. I’m burnt out on the IPA scene, so I almost never order them anymore, but their IPA selection is so good I always order two or three here. They usually have 3 or 4 on tap at any one time. The other beers are great tasting too like the Kolsch I ordered in the picture. They always play metal, which I love, and the artwork on the walls is awesome. My girlfriend hates metal music so much she prefers not to visit here as frequently so I mostly come alone, but she even admits the beer is excellent and she knows nothing about beer. Shout out for the clean restrooms and the baby changing stations too. It may seem like a hardcore place selling IPAs and blasting metal, but the people are super down to earth and don’t take themselves too seriously. Come check it out! There’s two other breweries within walking distance (or super insanely short drive) so it makes for a great triple pairing. It’s become my birthday routine; saving Little Cottage aka the best for last!

Incredible brewery experience every time. The space is cool, beer is top notch, the bartenders are always lovely and accommodating, and the owners are some of the best humans I’ve ever met. Easily my favorite brewery.

Some of the best IPAs, Sours, Lagers, and Stouts in Georgia, without a doubt. Add in the occasional food pop-up event, and you have yourself several SOLID reasons to venture out to Avondale Estates and visit these guys & gals-

Easily one of the top two breweries in the Atlanta region in Decatur. Little Cottage executes a lot of different styes all really well, from hoppy pale ales, fruited sours, to their excellent barrel program (stouts and barleywines). We hiked over from the Decatur MARTA stop and desperately needed some rehydration. We really enjoyed the kolsch (Balthazar) and also had a fruited sour and the IPA. The BA stout bottle we shared (Time Oracle) was excellent, and now we know why everyone raves about their barrel program here. The food truck outside hit the spot for us as we enjoyed our drinks outside. A must stop if you are in the Atlanta region and have a chance to escape to Decatur for half a day.

I absolutely LOVE this brewery! It's in the perfect spot and they've got a good selection of beers. It is a small batch brewery so they rotate their beers pretty often. Every single employee has been very friendly and helpful when choosing a beer. They have rotating food trucks too and play metal all day long. I usually don't drink seltzers but they have the best damn one I've ever tried! They also have killer murals on the walls inside. 10/10 would recommend!

Cute small brewery in Decatur. Has a very down to earth feel about it. Tapwall and bar in front when you come in. A good bit of outdoors space in front. Tables down the side of the brewery space. Altogether rather small. Music is rock and metal, which goes along with some of the decorations in the place, although the vibe feels less metal overall. I was good with it. Examining other reviews, some are not. To each his own? Place was not too crowded when I got in there. Tried a few brews, which I overall find on the upper end of average. My understanding is I need to try one of their barrel aged beers, as the brewer was #3 in the nation on Untappd as a premium member ... before he even opened the brewery. I also heard "good luck finding one". That was my experience, as well. I would normally stick with a 3 rating, based on the beers, but give some leeway, as I have friends who have had their barrel aged beers (their wheelhouse) and swear by them. Yes, barrel aged beers are usually ranked highly, so that might be a weak excuse to tack on a point.

Little cottage is an extremely cute stop in Avondale. We love their outdoor seating and warm indoor environment - a little bit of a contrast to their metal music but we love it! The beers are incredibly well crafted and flavorful. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for well intentioned local brews.

Brewery that plays metal- let's gooo!! Laughed a little, no offense dude, at one review complaining about music --clearly didn't do his homework and could walk to legit 3 other lame breweries. Jokes aside music isn't blaring, it's in the background and it Rocks. Tables a little flimsy inside, but serve the purpose. AC working inside - random but matters bc the one next door had no AC and we were dying on week one of summer at 5pm. Cool artwork. Nice people. Oh yeah, Tried a few beers too. Normal shit. Little bit of everything and a food tent outside. Come visit.

There's not too much inside space only the bar area and a couple tables. There's a lot more room outside but it was too hot today. Every day they have food options with a pop up or meat pies. They also sell ice cream. We tried some beers and they were all good. Most unique we tried their beer soft serve. Today it was tangerine mango sour flavor and super interesting. Decor is unique too.

Little Cottage Brewery has an excellent selection of IPAs, among some of the other options. We got a few samples before deciding. While there are outdoor benches, we sat inside to avoid the heat after racing earlier in the day. We also purchased some of the food from the vendor outside who had his own tent and smoker. I liked their hazy Infinite Time-loop but also had their heavier Headbanger Balls. Nicole stuck with two rounds of Cloud Killer, which I thought was Ok. The interior decor is a little scary with spiders on the wall and a terrifying dog / wolf across from the bathroom. They were playing some heavy metal music which instantly transported me 30 years back in time to my youth. However, it definitely wasn't as relaxing for some of the other guests. This is a relatively new brewery so everything looked fairly new and clean. For food we had the Porkbelly Bites and Pork platter which came with Mac and Cheese and also a side of cole slaw. We had boiled peanuts while we waited. This was good comfort food. I like the hop experimentalism and hope it continues. Would love to see a hop fruit infused beer in the near. Either way we will be back.

For those complaining about the music, do you also walk into a Chuck E. Cheese and complain about all the kids? A trance hall and complain the music is repetitive? Why would you review a place if the vibe isn't your vibe? I'm sure there's an Applebee's nearby that serves your style of beer and plays top 40 pop just for you. The beer here is so freaking great. Highest rated in Atlanta for a darn good reason. I've had all their IPAs today and as someone that's had about 5k beers across the US according to Untappd, this place is in the top 10 for hoppy beers for me. The service here is great as well. Everyone has been helpful and willing to talk to me about the beers. I WILL absolutely be back and I'm happy to have found my new favorite brewery in the ATL. If you're not a fan of heavier music, that's ok. Just remember some people are. The patio is full right now, no one is complaining, and most people are gently banging their heads.

You can find Little Cottage Brewery at 120 Olive St, Ste 500, Avondale Estates, GA 30002 - this is a strip of about 4-5 businesses in a commercial area about a block from E College Ave. It's about two blocks equidistant between two other breweries in opposite directions, Lost Druid and Wild Heaven. There's parking out front and to one side, however it may not be safe to park in front of businesses that are open during the week - I believe most are closed during the weekend. There's additional parking down the street with a public lot near Lost Druid. The interior is post-industrial with nice hand-painted graphics - the taproom bar extends off to the right with additional table seating and a display of T-shirts and other swag - which if you're like me you won't be able to resist - I especially liked the taster-glass and the stretchy baseball caps. The bathrooms can be found in a short hallway behind the bar that stretches to the brewhouse - there are a handful of 3.5 bbl tanks, perfect for small batches and lots of variation. It was with great anticipation that I first visited Little Cottage on opening day - it was a well organized event with predefined time segments and pre-purchased tickets. You received a few pours with admission and could opt to purchase additional, plus an amazing Imperial Stout. The event was well-attended and sold-out from what I hear (it spanned two days) to accommodate social distancing rules during the pandemic. The brewer/owner of Little Cottage (Jon Shari) has been entering competitions for several years, first as an established and well regarded homebrewer then as a brewery-in-planning - he's won several awards and has always produced some amazing beers. He's best known for his super thick stouts as mentioned. For the opening Little Cottage provided 7 different beers including the Imperial Stout, an Oatmeal Stout, a Nitro Milk Stout with Coffee, an India Pale Ale, a Double IPA, a Pale Ale and a Blueberry Raspberry Berliner. I burned through my tickets quickly and have been back enough times to try everything from the first day plus a few new releases. I loved the Imperial Stout, the super dank IPA and the fruited Berliner. Service has been exceptional on every occasions I've attended with an attentive staff that actually knows and understands the beer served and who can interpret your favorite styles and make good suggestions. Double Barrel Metal Only - Imperial Stout 13% - Delicious, thick motor oil with notes of tart dark fruit, dark chocolate, vinous qualities and tons of barrel. Outstanding. Housekeeping! - India Pale Ale 6.6% - The joy of Citra, this excellent NEIPA-style pale ale is super juicy and mouth coating, exploding with citrus notes, low bitterness, awesome lacing and a dry hoppy finish. Interstellar Jumpsuit - IPA - American 6.5% - Very dry NEIPA with citrus and tropical notes, a touch of hops through a juicy body with amazing lacing. A touch bitter on the finish. Dying Breed - Oatmeal Stout 6.7% - Tasty, nice sweet roasty malt notes, fairly easy drinking, thinner crushable stout with distinct notes and a great finish. Two Little Mice Nitro Milk Stout with Coffee 3.3% - Super easy drinking, like a cup of cold brew coffee to sip as a quick pick-me-up. Creamy nitro body, sweet roasty malt and coffee notes. Telekinetic - India Pale Ale 6.8% - Super tasty, tons of tropical fruit with mango notes, in a juicy hazy body and a great finish, hoppy nose. Vega Brothers - Double IPA 8.8% - Super tasty, massive tropical notes with a berry hint, hazy juicy body with a touch of hops throughout, finishes dry with a bit of lingering orange. Hymn Songs of an Alternate Universe - Pale Ale 6.1% - Super easy drinking tropical hazy pale, citrus notes with a touch of hops throughout the dry body and finish. Food Court Slurpee - Blueberry Raspberry Berliner 6.2% - Delicious thick-bodied slushy style sour, great tart to sweet balance. Nice fruity berry body and dry finish, super refreshing. Prices are reasonable and the beer is exception - what are you waiting for? Plan a whole day and visit all three walkable breweries - you can also extend your visit towards the excellent and nearby Three Taverns (a bit less walkable but not too far if you're feeling the need to get some exercise).

Stumbled on this place by accident - and so happy we did. The staff is A+ and the beers are on point! The dunkel is fantastic. There was also a delicious pop up shop burger spot in the parking lot - killer burgers!! We'll be back

One of my most favorite new breweries I visited in Georgia. Definitely a heavy metal vibe/scene delicious beers ! Cool staff and great food served outside. Don't forget to visit My parents basement after visiting here a comic book / bar down the street.

Nice space, loved the "Slim Thick Vegan" food truck, small selection of beer but what we had was ok. We were planning on hanging out for a while but the music chased us away. It was a horrible death metal (imagine someone screaming/heaving over and over and over). Not conducive to a relaxing afternoon. When we left and headed to Three Taverns, there was only one couple left at LC. After about 20 minutes at Three Taverns, that couple walked in. They recognized us and said they left for the same reason. Won't be going back.

They have at least four IPAs on draft. They have a small indoor area and a larger outdoor area, however, my only complaint is there still was not enough room. The beer is solid! I tried all 4 ipas I saw on the list and ordered the cloud killer. It was a 16 oz pour, some ipas were 12 oz pours so look at the menu. There was a food truck serving southern comfort food. We tried it out some pork and thought it was pretty good. There are some games you can play. We tried to play clue but didn't remember how Ana did t feel like reading the directions..... I guess that was the beer talking. Anyway it was a relaxing time! They also had heavy metal playing (not too loud) that my husband really enjoyed!

This place is great, but unfortunately I'll never come back. The beer, atmosphere, and food (pop up) were really good. I would give them five stars based on these alone. The problem is that they were playing death metal the entire time. It wasn't even that loud, and I liked some of the songs, but it's not a "nice time with your friends" soundtrack. It was depressing and grating in the background, and we left after our first beer only because of the music. There are lots of metal subgenres, and if the owners would just play something that isn't quite so alienating, I would happily come back.

We really like this place. They have great beer and the staff are friendly. They have good music and they were playing an old Godzilla movie last time we were there! Only wish they had food on the regular, but that's almost every brewery.

I'm a stinky little baby boy, and the only thing that will stop me from crying is a tall glass of Little Cottage's beer. Don't feed beer to babies, feed them to me... John Cusack... Who I am! Really tasty beers. When I went in they were playing metal music and an old godzilla movie from the projector. My kind of vibe

We were having a great time at little cottage (until someone who would not give us his name other than the owner, bald guy with plugs) came by and took our 4 empty cans. We had a few beers and then bought 4cans of 16oz ipa and had bartender give us 4 glasses for the 4 beers we bought. He said we were stealing from them because he took 4 empty cans away and said we bought beer to go even though we bought 4 cans and the bartender gave us 4 glasses. We said are you kidding and he said no. it escalated from there and he said he would call cops on us. We said go ahead and call the cops but he told us we had to leave because we were causing a scene. We tried to explain we bought 4cans but he did not want to hear it. If he had ask bartenders before accusing us this might not have happened. Maybe he was having a bad night but no reason to accuse us is something we did not do. He also said he did not need our busines but when you treat customers that way and have that attitude like that, you will care because you will get a crap reputation and it will effect you. We will never go back there again even though we lI've the beer. I guess when you are think you are that good but care don't about about your rep, it will catch up with you.

Love the beer and service but not into the metal death music always playing inside and outside. Just sayin'.

Coming on to leave a review, and seeing others here posting about the same problem: metal, heavy death metal music, screeching on and on at full blast. We were in a large group and asked the bartender if the music could please be turned down even just a little so that we could hear ourselves think and she said she would get the manager to come over. Up walks a guy with major attitude saying the place is all about metal, that this is their big shtick or something or other. Basically, the vibe was "deal with it or maybe don't come back." Then some of the middle aged guys at the table behind us, dressed all in black and chains, start laughing and say they want the music louder, clearly for our benefit. Whatever. Decent beer, but nothing worth crowing over. See you all at Wild Heaven or the new-ish Inner Voices where the beer and atmosphere are so much better. (Also check out Maltitude if you're in Columbus.) If I ever feel the need to go to a wanna-be early 2010s Brooklyn bar though, I may consider going back to Little College.
