"Brews with Views The Little Creatures microbrewery, housed in a converted shed overlooking the waters of Fishing Boat Harbour, was founded in 2000. After a morning spent exploring historic Fremantle, repair to the brewery’s convivial outdoor terrace and order one of four house-brewed beers. I find the original Pale Ale hard to surpass, particularly on a hot summer’s afternoon."

Hail More Ale: Little Creatures Debuts In Singapore With Microbrewery

"Singapore’s burgeoning craft beer scene gets hopping with the arrival of popular Australian craft brewery Little Creatures. The 17-year-old craft brewery, which hails from Fremantle in Perth, has started a 7,500-square-foot restaurant fitted with an in-house microbrewery at a heritage building off Club Street near Chinatown. This 180-seat brewpub, which opened on Wednesday (May 30), is Little Creatures’ second overseas outpost. Its first overseas outlet opened in Kennedy Town in Hong Kong in August 2016. It has two breweries Down Under in Fremantle and Geelong. Making their debut in the Singapore market are Little Creatures IPA, Pilsner, Rodgers', and the Singapore exclusive Club Street Sub IPA. At Little Creatures Singapore, hopheads can clink their glasses filled with five types of beer that are permanently on tap — the signature Pale Ale (an American Pale Ale), Bright Ale (a fruity golden ale), Rogers’ (a mid-strength ale with notes of toffee and caramel), Pilsner and IPA (India Pale Ale) as well as White Rabbit White Ale from its sister brewery White Rabbit that is based in Australia. If you visit a microbrewery but find yourself strangely not in the mood for beer, you can opt for its Orchard Crush Apple Cider which has a fresh aroma and crisp finish. Prices start from $11 a glass. To spice things up, expect a zany selection of seasonal brews concocted by regional brewer Jum Ryan, who moved here from Australia six months ago. His seven years of brewing experience with Little Creatures would come in handy. One such quirky brew is the Singapore-exclusive Club Street Sub IPA, a golden brew that is blended with yellow sub hops that give off a citrusy flavour layered with malty notes and a robust hoppy finish. These limited-edition beers will be brewed in-house next month after the microbrewery becomes fully operational, while the permanent beers on tap are imported in kegs from Australia. The sprawling bar counter at Little Creatures brewpub in Singapore. Tapping on the growing craft beer culture According to James McEniery, Little Creatures’ Asia-Pacific regional director, Singapore has been identified as one of the four “gateway cities” in the brewery’s global expansion plan. Speaking to the MICHELIN Guide Digital, McEniery says that the time is ripe for Little Creatures to make its foray here after two years of planning. He explains: “Singapore already has the building blocks of an active local craft beer culture that we can engage with and has a good demand for new varieties of imported craft beer.” It also helps that bottles of Little Creatures beer have been sold in supermarkets here over the past eight years and some beers are also available on tap in some bars from about a year ago. Some Singaporean beer aficionados have even travelled to Little Creature’s mammoth brewery in Fremantle, which sits on a former crocodile farm. The microbrewery is dominated by six 500-litre stainless steel tanks that occupy about one-third of the brewpub. Having a vibrant food culture also plays a part in Little Creature’s Singapore expansion. He says: “Our beer has to be matched with local food and flavours. The restaurant’s food is as important as the beer. It is not just pub food. Our brewer works with the head chef on the menu.” With a huge amount of freedom to brew on-site, the possibilities of craft beer are endless. He adds: “We have a wide range of beers to satisfy customers — those who are new to craft beer, those who have been trying lager and want something different, and those who enjoy Double IPA and want a beer that challenges them.” Helming the brews at Little Creatures Singapore is its regional brewer, Jum Ryan. No durian beer, please Also in the pipeline are collaborations with local breweries to come up with “fun brews”. Ryan intends to start brewing beer with tropical fruit such as mangosteen and mango, and will explore using other types of sour fruit. But one thing is for sure: There will be no durian beer. The microbrewery is dominated by six 500-litre stainless steel tanks that occupy about one-third of the brewpub. McEniery says that four to six brews can be done in a week, and to ensure its freshness, less than half of the beer sold will be brewed on-site. Drawing reference to the backgrounds of the five founders of Little Creatures, the food menu centres on casual Mediterranean and Italian cuisines. Popular dishes include polenta cubes with mushroom ragout, Serrano pizza and beef burger. New Singapore-inspired dishes by head chef Kwek Xiu Rong, who used to cook at Jamie’s Italian here, include chicken rice risotto and fried mantou with chilli crab sauce. Go bottoms up with seven permanent beers and a cider on tap at Little Creatures Singapore. Besides sipping on beer, customers can also learn more about what goes behind the hoppy brews. Come next month, Ryan will lead brewery tours, where participants can learn about brewing 101 at the Sensory Lab — from smelling and touching hops to learning about the brewing process and tasting a sampling paddle of beers. Up next, Little Creatures has its eye on expanding to two other cities, which McEniery is tight-lipped on, as well as China, where it already has two “microbrewery labs” in Shanghai and Beijing which opened earlier this year. The head chef at Little Creatures will work closely with the regional brewer to create dishes that pair well with beer. The brewery’s expansion is in tandem with craft beer’s growing popularity around the world. He says: “The craft beer movement is centred around choice and bespoke flavour. This can also be seen in other categories such as craft gin distilleries and food producers. We are proud of our history and heritage and we are quirky, fun and don’t take ourselves too seriously.”" - Kenneth Goh

Google
Great spot for dinner and drinks. We went Saturday night and couldn't fault anything. Both our pizzas were delicious, chips were also a must! Beers and drinks were very good (brewed in-house, which is always a bonus). We really enjoyed the music and atmosphere. It did seem like a shorter menu than usual (I believe a few more options would be better). Overall staff were friendly and we will definitely be back!

The tour was fascinating and fun. Very informative and great presentation of the beer and its history and the process of brewing. Got to even taste some of the fresh beers. Im so sorry i forgot the guide's name but he was top. Loved it , if anyone knows his name please let me know :)

Google
Great brewery in Fremantle. The patio is right on the water with a perfect view of the harbour. The LC pale ale is one of our favourites, a really well balanced beer and super sessionable. The service was quick and friendly. Lots of food options too. Highly recommend!

Wonderful brewery! Took a 90 min tour led by Angus, he did a great job explaining everything from operations to history, fun facts and any extra questions. He really made the tour extra fun and just overall a great time. Highly recommend the tour, they have 2 a day and happy hour after the later tour. So much history behind the brewery and the tasting was amazing, such a fun experience!

Google
Wonderful tour by Angus. You get a walkthrough of Little Creatures, the beer making process and a generous tasting of 10 drinks. Highly recommend if you're in Fremantle, even if you're not much of a beer drinker.

Google
Great beer and location! We went after lunch, so we only ordered drinks. As with other bars, we ordered and received our drinks at the counter. The atmosphere was open and airy, and since it was a Saturday, there were a lot of people there. The beer was delicious, and I'd like to try more varieties. Next time I'd like to eat there too!

Google
Absolutely tasty and refreshing house brewed beers. We did the flight and picked a favorite to enjoy separately. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great service and music. The food stands out as well, very good pizzas and burgers. If you are enjoying the place, consider the tour as well. It’s very informative and interesting to get the story and history of the various beers. Thanks for a great experience and here’s cheers!

Had a great time on the brewery tour at Little Creatures! Our guide, Steve, was fantastic – super knowledgeable and passionate about beer. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in here for lunch and a beer...what a fun place! It's actually huge, has some cool stuff inside (old VW truck, for instance). Plenty of seating indoors and out with a small upstairs area. The staff was friendly, the food was good and the beer was delicious and cold. We'll definitely go back!

Yelp
It's been a few years, but had to write up this little beauty. Set right on the beach, not only do you have access to the best beer in WA (microbrews possibly excepted), but you can enjoy great food in an industrial, yet open and friendly setting. The service can be hit and miss depending on the day and time, but generally staff is a friendly lot and fairly accommodating. In addition to getting some of their single-batch brews and their normal offerings (ales, lagers and IPAs), they have a mostly tapas style menu. There are also pizzas (recommended) and burgers thrown in for those going solo or need more hearty fare. In general, they are fairly well done, and their sticky date pudding is definitely worth going for alone. I know they have a facility in Geelong now, but really, why not go to the original? Fremantle is worth the trip!

Yelp
Very nice place to meet a friend, hang out, and enjoy a beer. Fun old building. And a good place to start out for a walk around.

Yelp
Menu change for mushroom pizza not sure it's a winner a bit heavy. Also they need to provide beer mats too much condensation left on the table.

Yelp
Went here on a Monday night. Pros: Big, interesting space. Friendly staff. Cons: 4/10 beers were tapped out, aka 40% of the beer menu unavailable. As a regular brewery goer - absolutely pathetic. Atmosphere: Depressing playlist for 1 1/2 hrs. Funeral vibes. Would not return. Better of staying at the hotel. Better beer selection and better vibes to be had elsewhere.

Yelp
Visiting friends in Perth, WA and came across this place on Yelp - actually in Fremantle - and decided to give it a go. I'm so glad that we did! What a terrific spot! Right on the water with stacks of indoor and outdoor seating, massively high ceilings in a kind of modern warehouse industrial sort of feel. A great little microbrewery and gastropub. Our server was Jack - who was terrific. Very helpful and patient, great sense of humor And went out of his way to tell us about the items on the menu. For entrees (Aussie word for appetizer) we had Mixed Olives which were plentiful and had a pretty good variety. We also ordered a massive supply of chips - which were crispy and very tasty and came with a kind of mayonnaise based aioli. For mains around the table we had Kangaroo with Tomato Chutney; a Steak Sandwich with Onion Jam and Swiss Cheese; a Meatball and Parmesan Pizza and a Roast Pumpkin, Pepita, Pesto and Ricotta Pizza. The Kangaroo was on skewers and was tender and similar to beef but not the same - and very tasty. The Steak Sandwich was my favorite to sample - served on some perfectly baked crusty bread - delicious. I didn't sample the pizzas but they were "good" but not raved about. I sampled the Little Creatures Pale Ale with my meal and it complimented well the Kangaroo. All in all, a great spot, with heaps of atmosphere, very good food and excellent service. Don't miss this.

Yelp
I'm not necessarily going to suggest that this was the first craft beer brewery in Australia, but it certainly was one of the first craft beers that I tried, and ever since I had that first Little Creatures I have never looked back. So, while this was not their original brewery, it is their main one, and you can basically get anything and everything Little Creatures here. Not only is there a bottle shop with some of their lesser known offerings, but also a restaurant (which serves pizza, but that is something I have come to expect from Breweries) and even an art gallery. Well worth checking out if you are in the area, and like your craft beers.

Yelp
Based on reviews, my wife & I went here for lunch on Friday. Sorry to state, Lil Creatures was a disaster... Good location, but kids galore in the sandbox, and prams everywhere with screaming babies. Who wants to dine at a nice waterfront location with a playground in your face. Plus, our waiter/kitchen screwed up a simple order (mussels WITHOUT parsley), and we only got to eat some of our meal. Though our waiter did not charge us for the wrong item (that's a relief). This may be an institution, but, this is a factory, best for groups of people.

Yelp
I used to love little creatures, but I feel like it's lost it's novelty. The service was slow, things were forgotten till we asked for them, the food wasn't all that great and you have to pay for parking now. It's been about 3 years since I've been back in Perth and it's similar to how I remember it but just not as good anymore. Aside from the $50 parking ticket, I got the beef, a salad and fries to share with my cousin. The beef was dry, fried were good and salad was fresh, but the salad was the thing we were waiting forever for, as well as putting in our order. The lady who ended up serving us was sweet but everything just too forever and on a sweltering hot day, it was annoying.

Yelp
Little Creatures has coolness and culture in spades. It's hip and it's trendy but without trying to be. Everyone is drawn here; hipsters, families, tourists, city slickers, north of the river, south of the river, whoever - no one is out of place. Every type of body loves to flock to Little Creatures. A massive warehouse style dining-hall with high ceilings and wrought iron trimmings, it's stylishly industrial. There's a sunny courtyard at the front and one to the back looking out to bright blue skies and sparkly blue waters. The food is as legendary as its setting; I could recommend just about everything on the menu, it's all great. The topping-heavy nachos, chilli mussels and pizzas are popular choices, not to mention a perfect accompaniment to a pint of Pipsqueek cider. Sunday's are busiest and they don't take reservations but there are so many tables that the wait is never long. If you're an out-of-towner - Little Creatures is an absolute must.

Yelp
Very cool environment, nice servers. The menu looked so intriguing but the taste of the food was underwhelming. I ordered the kangaroo (which I've had before and it was much better than here) and the pumpkin salad (which was doused in dressing). Neither did anything for me. I could see how this could be a cool hang out but it just didn't appeal to me with food.

Yelp
Stopped in here late on a Sunday when food service was done via the full menu and it was supposed to be pizza only. Staff were awesome & let me order mussels a few minutes late so I could have gluten free food. Mussels were ok, not great, but I got food and it was a food good experience

Yelp
This place is a great place to hit in Fremantle! There are plenty of seats so finding a place to sit was no issue, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed our food (the chips are delicious) and the pale ale was great! Plus, you can't beat the view.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere, one server was quite rude and when asked about the menu was not interested in explaining the menu and serving sizes etc, the second server was the opposite, friendly and helpful. Most of the food came out quickly but one of our groups food came when the rest of us had nearly finished...the servings were very generous and we had actually ordered too much mainly due to the lack of good advice from the first server. The price was expensive for some items and ok for others. $21 for 3 vegetarian samosa was a bit much.

Yelp
This place is ran like a fine oiled machine! I was sitting up stairs and had the perfect view of the kitchen. I truly enjoyed watching them work. I was there on a busy Saturday afternoon and the kitchen and wait staff didn't seem to miss a beat! Beer was fantastic and the pumpkin pizza was delicious!

Yelp
In 2014 my husband and I visited family in Perth and had the good fortune to discover the fantastic little town of Fremantle, home of Little Creatures Brewery. This is an all-around cool place, so cool that we visited more than once during our short stay in Western Australia. On our first visit, we went for a tour. The tour was beginning in about 15 minutes so we grabbed a pint and made ourselves comfortable. We are originally from Seattle, home to many great micro-brews, so we are familiar with great beer and Little Creatures did not disappoint. What we really enjoyed though was the tour. Ian was hilarious and super informative. He took us on a fantastic tour of the brewery, taught us a lot of new information and kept us highly entertained the entire time. And then, just to make sure we were truly happy, he gave us samples of all of the beers. All of this on a FREE tour! After the tour we found a table on the back deck near the water and enjoyed a delicious lunch - and another pint. A few days later we found ourselves in the area and couldn't resist stopping by again for a beer and a small bite to eat. This time we sat out near the sandpit. Brilliant! Kids can play while parents enjoy a bite to eat and a beverage. If we weren't nearly 7000 miles away we would be regulars!

Yelp
I loved this place and would definitely return if I ever came to Perth and Fremantle. I lived in NW Spain for work and obviously that has some great octopus (pulpo) I've ever tasted. The octopus was super well seasoned with fresh ingredients and tasted lovely. We also had the meat and cheese board a long with a dozen or so oysters. I would recommend the oysters and octopus. The reason this place gets 5 stars is due to the fantastic beer choices, great service, and location. Loved the atmosphere during a sunny, summer day in WA.

Yelp
After purchasing a scoupon deal for us and 2 other couples for a Brewery tour of little creatures. If the deal comes up again, grab it! We had a fun filled afternoon with Hamish "the tour extraordinaire" who knows he stuff! First a brief chat about the history, then a walking tour begun, and finished up with a "large shot glass" tasting of 10 beers and 1 cider. Then followed a middy of your choice and a pizza of your choice! I personally don't drink beer but loved the entertainment and the atmosphere is amazing. But hard to get a table round lunchtime, but we started at 1 and were grabbing a table at 2.45, which by then there was a couple of spare spots. It's buzzing with people and little kids. Great service and a good day out!

Yelp
Tonight we will be reviewing little creatures. Yes, I've been here over 20 times so believe me when I say their service and quality has fallen well below the mark. - lamb pizza : epic fail. Proportions have shrunk and distribution of ingredients weighted to the center. @ $24 I'm going to say wtf little creatures. - beef nachos: fail number 2 of the evening. Burnt chips and poor layering of ingredients slathered with an over allocation of sour creme. Come on boys it's not rocket science. - cesar salad: fail number three. Overtly saucy and tasting a bit rancid. Process with caution.

Yelp
This brewery is located right by the water and has a beautiful view! You have the option of sitting inside or outside. As it was a beautiful day, we sat outside to enjoy the great views of the water. Our server was prompt and attended to use very quickly. We ordered a pizza and bowl of hot chips. We also tried the drinks that they brewed there : IPA, Dog's Day and the apple cider. The food was delicious and we couldn't complain about the drinks either. The service was also excellent.

Yelp
As an interstate visitor we were told we had to go to little creatures and I'm glad we did. While we didn't go to eat, we went to the brewery to try some of the famous brews. My boyfriend loves beer, so we were hoping for a tasting paddle and little creatures didn't disappoint! Not only was the 10 serve paddle served by a quirky but very friendly bartender but unlike most breweries the paddle was free! We couldn't believe it. We took our beers outside and sat under the trees to taste. Now I'm not a beer drinker, but it was good to taste, our favourite being the Rogers Amber ale. The atmosphere was great and it was pretty quiet because it was Monday, and a pretty cold day, but next time we are u WA we will come back, this time for food and beer!

Yelp
Second day in and I stopped by Little Creatures again. I just couldn't resist I had spent the day walking around Perth and various other areas because nothing was open. After a bit my friends and I figured out it was Anzac day and after various friendly history lesson's. We made our Journey from Midland to Fremantle and went straight to Little Creatures again and it was an absolute blast yet again. This time it was a lot more crowded then the first day I was there. Service was a bit slow but still great! The place was full of people just having a blast. *Warning you might break your neck on busy nights lol. I think this place is great for people watching like Sunset Blvd would be in California. I can honestly say Australian people are the most friendliest people ever! I've been all over the world and this place is number 1 now in my book.

Yelp
This brewery is tucked away on the water in Fremantle. Well, maybe not tucked away since you can see the giant beer tank system from a few blocks away. As someone visiting this cool city, it's not always easy to tell what's good and what's not, but the continuous stream of people flooding into the brewery had to mean something. One of our first days here we just had some beer. We had the Pale Ale and the Rogers' Amber Ale, which were both good and the IPA wasn't too hoppy--just how I like it. But they had happier beers if you're into that! They also have wine from Australian vineyards. The Pinot noir was light and delicious. It was the next day that we strolled in for dinner. Most brewery food is pretty chill, but this food is really good. Everything about it was fresh, authentic, and well portioned. Between two, we shared the peri peri chicken, the charred corn cobs, and a salame pizza. The chicken was delicious, really nicely seasoned, so that it was full of flavor, and nicely cooked. The corn was buttery and salty and sweet all at once. And the pizza...well the pizza was amazing when we ate most of later as a midnight snack! Don't get me wrong, it was also really good when we ate it there, but who doesn't love room temp pizza at midnight? This spot is definitely worth a trip as either a visitor or a local. You won't be disappointed. Note, the food, for a brewery, was a five and the best I've ever had, but the beers were a four, and since it's a brewery and about beer, I gave it a four.

Yelp
Good food, great beer, cool atmosphere. Nice place ! Only complaint would be that the staff in the outside area where we were sitting just disappeared when we wanted to get the check.

Yelp
Such a great atmosphere , great woodfired pizzas ( I tried one with proscuitto, panacetta, ham and provolone which was great) , and as always great little creatures beer (I had IPA)... A little bit pricey but worth to try;)

Yelp
A great experience at this place. Their beer was great, highly recommend the IPA, XPA and raspberry beer. We had prawn pizza, fish cakes with avocado and grilled halloumi with a tamarind type sauce... All very good and our server was 100% on it and friendly. Coming back here soon.

Yelp
We played tourist (Why? Because we were!) and went to Little Creatures because it's in the guide books. I didn't expect the crowds. I didn't expect having to hustle for our seats and stand over diners waiting for them to leave, as I did years ago at Lundy's in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. I didn't expect service, having learned that pubs follow the British pub rule: go to the bar and order. The crowds were massive on a Sunday afternoon, especially with families and babies and yikes! strollers (or are they called buggies or prams?) to run over people's feet. We managed to snag two uncomfortable stools at a communal table, but then noticed a couple nearby settling their check. So we stood over them until they invited us to sit down while they finished, thereby guaranteeing our table. Others waiting weren't so lucky, and a near-fight broke out at the table next to us, with someone slipping into a table another patron had been waiting for. By the end of our meal, a couple of hostesses started taking names for seating, signaling a welcome end to the madness. But despite the maniacal atmosphere in this cavernous establishment, miraculously we did get rather good service from the harried waitress, who took the time to explain the nuances of the various beers, though it was hard to hear her over the din. My "beer" of choice was the Pipsqueak Cider, and hubby had the Rogers, but at 10 and 9 dollars respectively, they sure were no bargains. I did love that cider, so it wasn't a total loss. Forsaking the free food on our cruise ship (yeah, like we didn't pay for that), we shared a tomato pizza. Despite this being neither Naples nor New York, the pizza was decent. Not fabulous, but definitely passable. There's a reason why Little Creatures is in the travel books. It's an experience. If I lived in Freo, I probably wouldn't set foot into it. But as a tourist....

Yelp
Little Creatures is a feature of Perth. When I have visitors in from out of town this is one of the first places I take them. The ambience, the people, the beer, the food, and the weirdness all work at this place. Whether sitting out front in the gardens, inside in the bustling brew hall, the shop next door, or hanging out on the back deck watching the boats, or upstairs a bit more private, you cannot go wrong. You can get Australia here in the form of kangaroo skewers or you could have the best chili mussels available. (If you like chili, you'll want the extra hot chili mussels as the mild starts off as zero chili). The Frites and sardines are a must order. My gf and I go there for just that, sardines, frites, and two pints of beer on a saturday arvo. The sardines come with croutons, apple slices, in a herb salad. mmm The garden out front of the shop is a great place to bring your dog as most people sitting there do. The bar manager and staff will bring water bowls for the pups and I haven't met an unfriendly person there yet. The dogs have a chance to play on the natural grass under a shady tree while the 2 legged animals can enjoy a nice pint of beer/cider or glass of wine and some snacks or a fully meal. My favorite time to go is an early afternoon on Saturday or Sunday. Great natural light. The beers are pretty tasty as well and the staff know their beer. I really like the brewers specials they come out with in addition to their normal stock. These brewer specials are exclusive to the brewery and cannot be bought in the store. Over the winter they had a fantastic stout and now they have a really good summer ale called dog days. Sometimes service can be hard to get ahold of when seated in the main hall or out back but they are running around ragged. Many times I get my food quickly after ordering. Some very interesting people serving that are fun to talk to if they have time. Usually a little hippie, some backpackers, and very often international.

Yelp
For years, when visiting Fremantle for the day, the ONLY thing we ate was Fish & Chips. In recent times, we've got a bit disillusioned with the expensive, mass produced food in the Fishing Boat Harbour - so we looked further afield. We've found a new favourite; Little Creatures Brewery. On arrival, we found a big table indoors. We were with our parents. It was too noisy for the oldies inside; the venue essentially is a big shed. I think it used to be the crocodile farm years ago. We found a great big table out the back in the beer garden, under a tree. It's a fab spot and overlooks the harbour. Our son was as happy as Larry; there's a large shaded sandpit in the beer garden. Little Creatures caters very well for our little creatures!! At Little Creatures they have mostly share plates (big & small) and wood fired pizzas. We had; Sweet and buttery corn cobs ($8) Grilled prawn skewers with an almond romesco sauce ($24) Prawn, Coriander & shitake mushroom woodfired pizza ($24) I really loved this, it was a little different and the flavours really worked. Harrissa spiced lamb, melanzane & feta woodfired pizza ($23) We enjoyed all the food; it's perfect to share with friends. But it's the craft beer, brewed on site, that's why people go. It was a hit with all the men - in particular "Rogers" and the "Pilsner". Little Creatures is a very family friendly brewery. It always has a fantastic atmosphere. It's a Fremantle treasure and somewhere that we will visit on many a sunny afternoon in Freo.

Yelp
Little known fact about Little Creatures; if you go next door to the brew house (the part of creatures that sells merchandise) you can do a FREE beer tasting paddle. It includes 10 beer tastings, and a cider. Totaling over a pint in beer. And did I mention it's FREE. :) Great way to spend a lazy afternoon sitting in the sun trying different beers. Particularly when out of town friends are visiting :) I didn't eat there but my friend had the lamb ribs before I arrived with another group of friends. And they were so good they ordered a second lot.

Yelp
My husband and I had such a great time here, just a fun, friendly place. We enjoyed chatting with the people sitting next to us, and just soaked in the atmosphere for a few hours. Obviously the beer is excellent, especially the White Rabbit. But the wine selection is also really good. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. Chili mussels were to die for, we just kept dipping our bread into the sauce. Only slight disappointment were the kangaroo skewers (too chewy). We were staying in Cottesloe Beach, but this was an easy taxi ride (also doesn't take long on the train).

Yelp
Little Creatures is probably my favourite place in the world to go for a feed. I love the atmosphere, the beer is great( "Another big pils thanks") and the food is a good match. No fine dining here, but if you like a good beer or cider, and enjoy a few chilli mussles or don't mind a bit of kangaroo pizza, creatures is a great spot.

Yelp
I fall in love with this place the moment i step in..... I was in Perth for my convocation in 2011 and my dad friend brought us to this place. We had asked for an outdoor seating. Its a windy afternoon where you can view the sea and hear the sea breeze. It's kind of a relaxing ambience and i simply love it. They had their own brewery and they serve western food. We order mussels, pizza, beers....... Its a great place to hangout with family and friends as you can enjoy the serenity. I will definitely visit this place again.

Yelp
On holiday in Perth: with 28 reviews already, I almost wasn't bothered to add to the pile--but I have to tell you about the new deck bar that's arrived just in time for summer. I know it's new, because my local family members were remarking over it. I love it. It's adorable. It's quieter than the big ol' booming hall, and the service is faster and easier. PERFECT. The deck is adorned with every hipster's dream furniture: printed rugs and plush armchairs and little jars full of flowers. I didn't know whether to sit down and enjoy my beer or run around taking photos of everything. The deck is also a perfect spot for people-watching those on the boardwalk. We spent a good few hours out there with what felt like our own personal Little Creatures Bar and staff. Absolutely dreamy.

Yelp
I love breweries. I love food. I love Little Creatures. So therefore I love this place! The food is delicious (go for the pizza) and all their beers are great. The vibe is cool, outside seating areas, inside, or next to the water are all great places to chill. The prices are a little expensive but worth it. Being a musician, I LOVE the music they played. Meters funk to hard rock. If I lived in Fremantle, I'd make it a weekly stop :D

Yelp
This is THE go to place in Fremantle, especially for any first time visitors to Freo and it's not hard to see why! The whole brewery experience is just fantastic and if you have time, I would highly recommend taking the FREE brewery tour in the smaller building adjacent to the main restaurant building. The only tricky thing with Little Creatures is securing a table. Wait times can be up to an hour on really busy days and space out the back overlooking the harbour is small and at a premium as it's the best place to sit, especially for families due to the large sandpit which keeps the kids busy until their food arrives. Food is consistently good here and what better place to enjoy a Little Creatures Pale Ale or Pipsqueak cider than right on the site where its made? If you haven't been here, what are you waiting for?!

Yelp
Being such an important part of the tourist scene must be hard on this place. We decided since we were tourists we'd definitely stop by for some lunch and a few drinks (mainly because we do tend to enjoy Little Creatures drinks) and of course, couldn't find a table! It was a little bit before they were doing their seating service so we had to resort to stalking people in hopes of getting a seat. We ended up out on the front decking and it was absolutely gorgeous! The drinks were definitely worth the stalking of tables and the pizza was the best I think I've had at a brewery or winery. We had two lovely children with us and there was a children's menu consisting of pizzas, fish and chips or chicken and chips, which is quite handy when you want pizza and the children definitely don't! They also had chalk that was available outside for the kiddos to draw on stuff and my little ones took advantage of the little tree in the planter box to climb on, all while the waitress looked on smiling and not freaking out. The staff is extremely friendly and this place is definitely worth the visit. Was definitely disappointed that it was a bit hard to find a table and the table service wasn't very quick so we did end up having a screaming child while we looked for some water and glasses ourselves.

Yelp
Make time for this if visiting Perth!! A must-do. We visted Fremantle at the start of the trip but didn't manage to squeeze it in. When returning to Perth we returned to Freo after a few mentions from friends. We did the tour which was well worth the $12. Our guide was very informative and energetic and the tour concludes with a tasting of the beers. After the tour we took a look at the menu and decided to eat. Between us we devoured a pizza, beef nachos and steak sandwich and all were very impressed. The beer on tap is amazing. Great atmosphere/vibe throughout the whole venue. Do not miss this opportunity!

Yelp
We went here for Mother's Day breakfast and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was a really yummy meal with runny eggs and not too much hollandaise sauce. The only problem is that even though there didnt seem to be too many people there (we went as soon as they opened), it was a 15 minute wait for coffee and then the coffee came out in tiny little mugs that you could finish in 2 mouthfuls, and they still charge you for a normal coffee! Also even though the service was efficient, our waitress really didnt want to be there and you could tell by the way she spoke to us. I love the guy who comes around and makes animals out of balloons though, I am so spewing I didnt get one!! All in all a nice morning though.

Yelp
On our tour of WA (and later TAS, SYD), we made a point to visit wineries and breweries. Sought them out, actually. As we are from the Pacific NW in the States, we consider ourselves somewhat educated and experienced in the ways of tasting Be warned that Little Creatures is a major tourist attraction. I ordered us a flight. The samples were inconsistently poured and frankly, short. I thought, okay no worries this is normal. As I walked to our table I noticed that other male patrons who had a flight had far more generous pours. This didn't sit well so I went back to the bar and pointed this out observing that the two male customers he was currently serving were getting generous pours for their flights. I point this out and he responds that he'll pour it out. Super condescending. He basically dismisses me My partner gets involved and he still dismisses us. We must have been making enough noise as the bartender comes out. Basically explains how it's done, laws, etc. Buddy, not our first rodeo. Offered a couple of samples for free. Short version : mediocre beer, condescending service. Save your money

Yelp
Little creatures has a fantastic atmosphere, great music, and it looks awesome! Unfortunately the food and service aren't up to standard. When we visited last week the service was slow, the meals were very staggered (at least 20mins between first meal delivered and last meal delivered to the table) and they forgot one of the meals we ordered. The chips are delicious, but the rest of the food was average. There was so much corriander on some of the dishes we ordered, even though it wasn't list as an ingredient on the menu. I was disappointed but I know this place has potential! They have a few dishes they can customise for Vegans too :)

Yelp
Great place!! Overlooking the harbour out the back with a sand pit for the kids. I didn't try any food but the drinks are great!

Yelp
This bar must be the best bar all of WA. Nice big machines really add to the ambience. It's like being in a brewery. This place is family friendly with a playground in the back with waterfront view. The place has super high barnyard ceiling decorated with chandeliers. The beers are okay. Food is okay. Service is okay. But you are not just here for decent food and decent beer. You are here for the vibe. This place gets all stars for all vibes.

Yelp
This place rocks! It is worth going out of you way. The ales were totally awesome (and I seldom drink beer but I really likes these). The staff were super awesome and friendly. Loved the fries and aoili sauce. Loved the atmosphere and the view. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Who doesn't love this place? Its full of atmosphere and is always buzzing with excitement, bubbles and wafts of nachos. I wonder if you applied for a job here and had nothing quirky about you would they turn you away. This is where the artsy beautiful people work. The venue is great, the food is good, service is FAST and of course you can't get fresher beer than straight from the vats.
