Where to Eat in Sequim and Port Angeles, Washington | Eater Seattle

"Smoked brisket and pork are the star attractions here, served up in burritos, tacos, and sandwiches. (Vegetarians don’t despair, the roasted vegetable options are smokey good too.) The dining room is splashed with color and accented with devil masks and concert posters." - Matthew Lombardi

Google
Lunch was reasonably priced for our family of five. A kids meal was more than enough food for my 13 year old and myself- along with my younger kids. I was grateful that they let me order off the kids menu so I could get a reasonable portion. The tortilla chips were really good! We loved the homemade salsas. Very delicious flavors!

My fiancé and I were passing through this city on our way to hike Hurricane Ridge (my first time here!). Looking for a spot to eat, voila! this place popped up with great reviews. We ordered Beef Brisket Tacos (you can mix/match) and a Brisket Burrito, and weren't disappointed. It was soooo good. Now we know where to come back next time we’re in town.

Google
Fun, and friendly metal themed sandwich shop that apparently also hosts shows on their stage inside? Great taste in food and condiments. Any place that offers El Yucateco XXXHot sauce for your tacos is a place that can earn my trust. Staff were friendly and nice! Food solid.

Google
Came here from out of town based on some reviews I read and it was well worth it! I got the Cuban Sandwhich and it was incredible! The pickles, mustard and meat was unreal. Really cool location and a must-try if you’re in Port Angeles longer than a few hours. Top it off with a Jarritos and you’re set. Highly recommend!!

Google
Best salad on town! Ingredients are FRESH, including the smoked meats… Generous portions and superb service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Little Devils Lunchbox…

Google
We grabbed lunch here and opted for the sandwiches, though it looks as if they've got some great burrito options as well that I'd like to try. I had the gyro and the others got the Diablo sandwich, all of which came with chips and salsa. The sandwiches were all good, we all agreed on that, but I thought the thing that set everything apart was the chips. Probably the best chips I've ever had in a restaurant. They seemed home made and fresh, just the right amount of salt, light and airy and a great texture. Fabulous. The menu is appealing and I'd love to try more items.

Google
Interesting place, and hard to categorize. Located a bit outside the downtown tourist area; a bit rough, but not seedy. Red and black theme with Iron Maiden font, heavy metal and rockabilly posters on the walls, lots of skeletons, and a stage. But classic jazz playing at lunch. Food was very good, portions were large, service was pleasant and prompt. If you bring young children or senior citizens, you may have to answer a lot of questions on the decor.

Google
Stopped for lunch w/ a colleague recently, had heard good things about the place. No staff evident at first, had a look around until they showed up. I like the vibe, this would be a fun place to see an up-and-coming band play loud. Kind of odd for a sit-down lunch though. Burrito was very tasty (the "jonny", smoked pulled pork)

Yelp
The burritos are massive portions, great flavor, and the perfect meal after a long day of hiking! The Smoker was our favorite. All of the burritos also come with chips. The smoked brisket was delicious, and I recommend getting it with the pineapple salsa and the Chupacabra salsa!

Yelp
I liked the vibe here. Edgy and dark, which makes sense since it doubles as a music venue. There are a good amount of seats and tables. Order at the register. Service was nice and quick. The concept of the food is great. I would say they are more of a BBQ place, than a Burrito shop. They have smoked meats and make burritos and sandwiches. And served with chips and salsa. The salsas have a variety of hotness and flavor. They have a few beers on tap, sodas and more beverages in cans and bottles. I got a Carne Asada burrito. It was just ok in my preference. Good amount of food and decently priced. Reminded me of a Chipotle burrito. My husband, mom and sister also got burritos. And they expressed the same idea. My dad got a brisket sandwich, and he thought it was very good. Should I make it back this way I would try the sandwiches.

Yelp
Not to everyone's taste, but good solid burritos if you tend toward liking barbecue. The service was prompt, the staff friendly, and the food good. We got two burritos - a veggie and a smoker ... both were large and tasty, plenty for a big hungry guy, too much for a single meal for a smallish woman. Given the size of the burritos, the prices were understandable, but this isn't a "cheap eats" place - two burritos with tax and tip were almost $40, and that's without anything to drink other than water. The veggie was sauced in a southwest or bbq kind of way -- and while it was fine, it was nothing special (not surprising given their focus here). The smoker was delicious, featuring smoked beef brisket. It's an odd filling for a burrito, and I don't think it would ever be a favorite for me, but it was exactly what they said it would be, and it was done well. The atmosphere was somewhat uninspired, with a focus somewhat reminiscent of a heavy-metal honky-tonk BBQ place on the inside, and a couple of tiny tables on the sidewalk outside next to parked cars. And from the look of the stage, they have live music here regularly. This is a place where the menu tells you exactly what you're getting ... if the menu appeals, go for it. If your taste in burritos doesn't extend to carne asada, chorizo, pulled pork or brisket, perhaps you should go elsewhere. We liked it ... but I'm not sure it'd be right for everyone.

Yelp
Really good local Mexican place in town! I was iffy on if Mexican food would be good around this area but this place did not disappoint. Burritos were huge and all the salsas were delicious and had lots of fresh flavor. The restaurant wasn't too busy, so we easily found seating for a larger group! Highly recommend! Our group got the Johnny, Carne asada, and the smoky burrito and we had no complaints!! Not dry at all and tons of meat.

Yelp
Finally getting around to writing this review. They just opened another location on the west side, which I haven't been to, so can only talk about this location. They have a good variety of options of more of a Tex-Mex flair. I had their carne asada burrito and it was pretty tasty. Meat wasn't too chewy nor was it dry. You get a variety of salsa options and items typically come with a side of tortilla chips. They also sell local beers and if you're wanting a salad, they offer that, too. Parking lot is a little small but there's plenty of street parking. And they're also a great and affordable option for catering!

S M.

Yelp
Don't ever use them for catering. I had eaten their food twice before at the restaurant and didn't like it. I figured it was what I chose and would try something else in the future. Then a friend had them cater their wedding. When we arrived, everyone was in line, or had their food. They had no proper heating or cooling of the trays of food. They were just sitting in aluminum pans, on the tables for HOURS. A free for all, serve yourself, robbing spoons from on dish to another. Not a server or employee in site. Everything was the temperature of the summer heat in a open barn. Health department would've shut it down. It was confirmed that i just don't like the Devil's Lunchbox food. My partner and I were sick all night and the following day, afterwards found out others got sick too.

Yelp
Wow! Based on its outside appearance, this is a spot that I normally wouldn't even notice, but it turned out to be a gem! Thanks to Yelp and Google, I saw that this restaurant had high ratings and was voted "best lunch special" from 2012-2022. Their mission is to serve affordable smoked meats to the Port Angeles area. These days when prices are constantly on the rise, it's amazing to find places like these that have such delicious food at a reasonable cost. This restaurant has some of the most unique decor I've ever seen with hanging skeletons, masks and posters adorning the walls which were painted bold orange, red and green. They also have a stage for live music. I felt a little out of place, but of course they welcome everyone. As my family walked in, we were immediately greeted with a smile by one staff member who took our orders at the counter. Their menu mainly features tacos, burritos and sandwiches filled with their smoked meats. These items come with a side of the tortilla chips and your choice of salsa ranging from very mild (tomato) to hot (ghost pepper). My sister was on the fence between two of the salsas and the cashier kindly included a cup of each for her at no extra cost. After a few minutes, he brought us our order and we took it back to our cottage. I got the LITTLE DEVIL'S TACOS which includes three tacos and the chips & salsa for only $10! What a steal! They have several meat options and some of them do cost a tad extra, but not by much. I selected my first with smoked pork, second with beer can chicken and third with shredded beef (extra $0.50). The shredded beef was my favorite as it was so succulent and nicely seasoned. The smoked pork didn't taste too smoky, but it was lean and not fatty... just how I like it! I enjoyed the chicken as well which was tender and juicy. All tacos came topped with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and tomato salsa. Every bite was delicious! For the salsa, I loved their medium Verde one. It was super herby, garlicky and fresh with a slight sweetness. So so good! If you prefer more spice, try the Chupacabra... their smokey chipotle habanero blend. It has a strong kick, but is extremely addicting. My parents both liked their burritos, which were huge and stuffed. Additionally, I was impressed with how perfectly they executed my sister's order after she made quite a few customizations with her tacos. Our meal at Little Devil's Lunchbox turned out to be one of my favorites on our trip. Give it a try if you're nearby!

Yelp
If you like smoked meats, this place is amazing! The sauces were awesome-especially the pineapple salsa and salsa verde. My husband loved the chupacabra sauce too. We all had different things and sauces. My teenage son LOVED his massive burrito.
google avatar

Cyndi C.

Yelp
Lil Devils is consistently serving tasty lunch deals of the day. Love they have an $11 deal with something different each day of the week. The lunch is hearty and quick! My 3 tacos plate was loaded with protein. The "beer can chicken" be it in burritos, tacos, ect. is always flavorful and moist. Chupacabra sauce snd verde are the best salsas here. imho. Rocking vibe soundtrack, ya gotta love this spot!
google avatar

Chris V.

Yelp
Super glad I decided to stop by this trendy joint, their smoker burrito is phenomenal! Moist, savory, perfect ratios, and the perfect temperature to dig right in. Their salsa also packs a nice amount of heat, the chupacabra level is true to a 4/5 spice level. The ambiance of the place is a bit fun and quirky with all their decorations. It's clear this place is loved by the locals, the lunch rush was crazy busy, but service is quick! I'll definitely be back when craving some Mexican.
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
The chicken burrito was enormous and the quality of the food was good! I really enjoyed the salsas as well (the ghost pepper salsa has some staying power!!) Thanks for the great meal and I hope to grab some food again in the near future!

John W.

Yelp
Tacos were good, chips nice and crunchy. Salsa good. Guacamole was premade from a tube. The corn shells were soft not fried.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Random discovery. Score! Cool, easygoing vibe for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The Johnny burrito is the best.

Yelp
What a find. We met friends here for lunch and they already knew it was a gem. It's not a fancy place, it's funky and a perfect place to meet friends. Not crowded and tables are far enough apart that your conversation isn't going to bother anyone else. Their food is tasty, but my highlight was their salsa. Particularly the ghost pepper one. Oh my goodness. So good! Spicy, but not too fiery. I even purchased a tub to take home and it was gone in two days. If you like good tacos, burritos and even a good Cuban, take a chance. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Grant H.

Yelp
Ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and carne asasa burritos. Rice inside burrito was bland. Beans were bland. Pulled pork tasted of pork but not much else. Carne asada was also without much flavor. The brisket was tasty, though. Don't even try any of the salsas below chupacabra - they have zero spice and not much going for them. We also ordered the chili, which was overly salty and a bit cold. Lastly, chips come with every order. They're definitely just store-bought. For $15+ a burrito you'd expect more. Overall, it was just ok.
google avatar

Patrycja A.

Yelp
The food was just ok. We had higher hopes based on all the 5-star reviews. The staff was great.
google avatar

Jenifer G.

Yelp
Great Cuban sandwich. Food arrived quickly after ordered even though we had a large group. Love the heavy metal vibe! Reminds me of my teenage years.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
This place has won several awards so we wanted to try it while we were in town. It was just OK. The guac looked like it had been squeezed out of a tube and my burrito was good but not great. Atmosphere was really cool and my kids liked playing with the toyslike Mr. Potato Head.

Amber N.

Yelp
Cool vibe. Very flavorful. Fast service. The brisket burrito and bovine sando were delicious.

Yelp
We were in Port Angeles for work and found Little Devils Lunchbox through Google. The food was delicious, service was great, and gave a cool vibe inside. I would return again when in Port Angeles.

Josh K.

Yelp
Cool spot with good burritos. I like the stoner doom Vince and the vegetarian options. Bummed I couldn't catch a show here.
google avatar

Yelp
The perfect lunch after a long hike at Mount Storm King. The portions were generous and the tacos fairly priced. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
There is a lot to say about this place and yet I am at a loss for words; such a strange conundrum. I fear that my description of this place, though as accurate as I can make it, will undoubtedly sound like an ongoing contradiction to the average reader. First, this place is the very definition of eclectic (a collection of many themes that don't seem to string together exactly). If that is your cup of tea, then you will love it here. For me personally, all of the different randomly scattered decorate items and film paraphernalia left me unable to relax - it's like I couldn't decide whether I belonged there or not. It is difficult to describe, but the place had a theme ... and yet did not. For someone else it might have been a museum of wonder. For me, it looked like a messy room. Thus, for my first contradiction I would sum up the atmosphere (in my view) as fascinatingly uncomfortable. The service was also a bit paradoxical. The man at the counter was curt (people skills are perhaps not his strength) and yet the food came out uncommonly fast, which made for a nice surprise. So, while I didn't feel they were overly 'customer friendly', I also can't complain about the service. And the food itself: It wasn't bad and it also wasn't really that good. Would I eat there again? I don't even know how to answer that. A contradiction, I know, but I must accept the fact that maybe I didn't choose the right thing on the menu. Sometimes a certain food just doesn't hit the spot for us personally at the time. The menu has so many things that sound tasty that I worry I just chose the wrong thing. If you're ever in town, though, I will say this: it is worth a peek inside. And if the menu I posted has something for you, I would encourage you to try their food.

Yelp
Love this place! Try to stop in whenever I'm in Port Angeles. Yummy burritos. Service is ok. Sometimes the guy taking the order can be a little curt.

JR S.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Interesting decor and place that is a music place at night. Nice choice of salsa's. Actually has a spicy one!!! Best lunch place in town. Tacos are our choice. Burritos are big, but not into rice and bean filled tortillas.
google avatar

Lynne B.

Yelp
Service by new employee was fantastic! Food was delicious we had "The Jonny". I would say the best burrito I have ever had. Ambiance not our style but in the restroom was a great picture of Kramer from Seinfield. Great stop in a great community of Port Angeles.

Yelp
I had no idea when I walked in that it was an awesome punk venue, with vintage posters of The Melvins. I got the beer can chicken tacos, one brisket, and they were super tasty. They have ghost pepper salsa, which was delicious, and nearly everything comes with nacho chips. I ordered corn tortillas and a diet coke and they forgot both, but that's fine and overall was still a good meal. It was also one of the more affordable spots in town, and my friend visiting the US was on a budget. He was super pleased with the food. I don't drink but they had a pretty enormous craft beer selection too. Finding this place was definitely a highlight of my trip out to the Olympic Peninsula. It's nice to know there is a punk venue out that way, too.
google avatar

Carrie G.

Yelp
So we got food to go from this location and from the flavor of the chips to the burritos packed full. It was delicious. The service was awesome and they were accommodating. I would give one piece of advice - ask for no cilantro even if it doesn't list it as an item on the dish - it appears to be a sprinkled topping and in the salsa and for the ones who don't like cilantro this is a heads up!
google avatar

mike f.

Yelp
Amazing variety, service, quality, at very reasonable prices. Obviously their burritos are great, but they also have solid sandwiches!
google avatar

Stoopid S.

Yelp
Great food! Good flavors and recipes for some non traditional burritos The Brisket is super flavorful and tender and seasoned nicely The Pulled Pork is also juicy and has a nice soft bite Great beans and sauces in everything Awesome Soda and Beer offerings...and Kids Menu Definitely a must try

Yelp
Not sure why I thought I could find authentic Mexican food in Port Angeles. The staff were very friendly but the food was just okay. I got a set of three tacos (can't remember the exact price-- somewhere around $10-12 total) and they let me choose a different meat for each taco. I chose the smoked beef brisket, beer can chicken, and smoked pulled pork. The tacos also came with chips and salsa so I asked for the ghost pepper and chupacabra salsas. The food was prepared pretty quickly and the portion was very generous! Sadly, the tacos were very bland. The three different meats I tried were all severely underseasoned to the point where I could barely tell which meat was which. Out of the three meats I liked the beer can chicken the best since it was pretty tender and moist. The beef and pork were both very dry. The tacos came with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and tomato salsa (reminded me of Tex-Mex/Taco Bell), but those toppings did not add much more flavor. The ghost pepper and chupacabra (2 spiciest options) were not very spicy. The ghost pepper salsa delivered a slight kick, but the chupacabra salsa was not spicy at all. If you're looking for a spicy salsa then I'd recommend going with the ghost pepper. It was nice that the portion was big which made for a satisfying lunch. I just wish everything had more flavor.

Yelp
Delicious BBQ brisket burritos! We brought friends visiting from Australia here and they liked it a lot!
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
Good not great. For the area I think this is solid. Serving tacos and burritos with smoked meats in the Pacific Northwest isn't the same as San Antonio obviously, but if you aren't familiar with that Mecca, then this will delight most hungry folks. The food was priced well and very filling. Everything tasted fresh and the environment was genuine without being obnoxious or trying too hard. Tortillas aren't fresh made (which is expected), but needed to be toasted. Meats had flavor, salsas were good and chips were good. So yeah, good not great.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Not bad was hoping for more authentic Mexican. But if chipotle is your thing it is very similar and was ok
google avatar

Yelp
Great food love the chili and Smokey flavor of "The Smoker" burrito. Great food love the chili and Smokey flavor of the smoker burrito. Yelp
Top quality spicy burritos and tacos. Really bomb hot sauce you can buy and bring home for later too

Yelp
I have been eating here since they were the little hole in the wall. Service has always been good went to school with the wife of the owner. I use to be able to call and she just knew what I wanted. Always great food and great value. They have a good vibe also. Also try out the little devils grill recently loved it also can't find the yelp do them.

Sean G.

Yelp
AMAZING! We were super satisfied with the food, friendly service & laid back vibe! They aren't open for dinner. It's a filling and delicious lunch! Come hungry!

Martin Z.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Once in 2023 and recently in 2024. Food is bland. Burrito tortillas aren't warmed. Burrito is mostly bland rice and beans despite ordering pulled pork once and chicken once. Seems as if no care is put into the food. I won't go back and can't recommend it unless you like a large quantity of rice and beans wrapped in cold flour tortilla.

Rockin M.

Yelp
Guy taking orders had the patience of 3 year old. Either overworked or he belongs in the dish pit. Food was decent.

Garry S.

Yelp
Better, bigger menu than expected. Taste fantastic. Good atmosphere there. I would go again if I am in town again.

Ra R.

Yelp
Consistent food and the selection of sauces is nice to have. One of the better places to eat at in the PA.
google avatar

peter m.

Yelp
Super good food, but for all the talk of devils you might have thought it'd be a bit spicier.
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
The cashier was nice, no hate but he suggested a burrito with chorizo and potatoes which sounded delicious. It was actually disgusting and tasted like straight up vinegar. It was supposed to be my breakfast and I took like 3 bites, and it lowkey ruined my day.My brother tried to finish the burrito and couldn't.I was a little disappointed because the place looked cool. I will probably give them a second chance because I believe in them. DON'T let me down little devils lunchbox. Someone gave me a 30 dollar coupon for this place, and I don't want to have to rip it up.

Tiffani M.

Yelp
very mid level food with no flavor, tried the pulled chicken. It was literally just rotisserie chicken with zero flavor. Spend your money elsewhere
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat on the Peninsula. Their taco salad with brisket is amazing. Their prices aren't bad and they're always quick.

Rubie R.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I was disappointed. My boyfriend loved his lunch special burrito, but I think the cashier's attitude left a bad taste in my mouth before I even tried my food. I wanted carne asada tacos but they were out. She had watched me stare at the menu for several minutes prior to us walking up to the counter, then decided to tell me they were out of it when I ordered it. I said okay, and was looking at the menu, and she asked, "flour or corn" and I said I didn't know, as they were out of what I wanted, and she looked annoyed and said, "I just assumed you were still going to get tacos and just pick a different meat. " I asked her what the beer can chicken was like, and she said, "it's like chicken". So I went with that. I have a better description for you: it has the consistency of mushy tuna fish with no seasoning. The taco had very little flavor, and I should have got flour, as they only do one corn tortilla and it was starting to soak through. The chupacabra sauce/salsa(?) was more sweet than spicy and neither of us ate it, and which disappointing, as was we love spicy salsa. He wants to go back and try the sandwiches and I might, but I just have a hard time supporting bad customer service with mediocre food. And the music was BAD. Worse than the food. I finally started telling people they were out of carne asada as they were looking at the menus since she still wasn't bothering to tell anyone, which embarrassed my bf, and the cashier said something to me about telling the people that walked in as she was delivering our food, and I said, "Well, someone has to.". I did feel bitchy saying that to her but I really didn't care at that point.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Holy crap! This place was delicious! We were looking for a great place for take out so we could eat at our rental in Port Angeles. This place did not disappoint. Highly recommend going if you're in the PA area or after you've hiked all day in Olympic.

Yelp
I got take-out from Little Devil's Lunchbox today. It had been many years since I had been in there. The interior has changed so much since last time I was there, I literally walked back outside thinking I was in the wrong place. I got the beer can chicken burrito, substituting salad for chips and salsa for $2.75 extra (the online menu I looked at said $2). I hesitated to choose the chicken, because I generally don't like white meat, but I gave it a try, and it was really moist. The rice, beans, and salsa, made flavorful burrito filling with the chicken. I also got a cup of chili with cheese for $4.50. It was very good, and not too spicy for me, but I probably wouldn't spend $4.50 on it again. I got cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing for the salad. It was the most intense cilantro flavor I've ever experienced in my life. I loved it, but unless you love cilantro with all your might, you should steer clear of it. I also tried some of it on the burrito, and it was even better that way than as a salad dressing. I was extremely hungry, and I just barely managed to finish it all. It was a very satisfying meal for $19.00 before tax and tip.
