Little Dreamer Coffee

Cute coffee shop in Montrose Loved coming here when it was Canary Coffee shop. The baristas are super friendly and coffee is solid. Interior has one half super sunny with large windows while the other half is darker. I wish there were more comfy seating options and more plugs. There’s hard high chairs. There’s a small art gallery attached.

I feel like this is a crazy thing to say... Especially as a South Texan... But I might have just had the best quesadilla of my life... At a coffee shop. I'm a long time fan of Little Dreamer. Moved to TN last year and this visit back has been my first time at their brick and mortar. I could not be more impressed. Coffee on point, as always. The food was a huge curveball though (in the best way). Had a barbacoa quesadilla and a flat white with light salted butterscotch syrup, tasted like kettle corn. Vibes immaculate and the staff were so welcoming and friendly.

Stopped by on our way to a different coffee shop and wow, so glad we did. Both of our lattes were hot and had a beautiful presentation. Aside from that the flavor was spot on. Not overly sweet and not underwhelming. I would say it’s strong and that’s only because I prefer my lattes small, with 2 shots minimum. I thought it was perfectly balanced. I got the Cookie Butter and my husband got the Dark Room which is sesame. We also ordered a picadillo taco and Brekkie sandwich. My husband complimented the egg on the sandwich being very soft and fluffy. He also stared down my taco because the tortilla looks really fresh. Both were delicious and worth coming back again for. I also got the coffee cake which was very good, but on the sweet side just in case you are limiting sugar intake. I definitely will be back to try other menu items! Thanks Little Dreamer for making our morning.

The service is quick and friendly. I visited all day today while they were hosting a record swap meet. Despite that, the service and coffee remained excellent. The highlight for me was the five-star vegan chocolate zucchini muffins.

What an amazing addition to the Montrose community. Such a great vibe, the BEST quality coffee you’ll get in town, and absolutely delicious food — the pies AND the breakfast tacos. We are forever regulars and converts!

Great to have Little Dreamers in the neighborhood. Excellent coffee made at the prettiest espresso machine ever! The friendly people and delectable pie make this a great place to be. Plenty of free parking and a nice outdoor seating area are available. Inside is bright and unpretentious. Highly recommend! (Editing to note they are one of the only coffee shops in the area that stays open until 7pm!)

The sweetest little gem in Montrose!! Every drink on the menu is tasty and innovative alongside their yummy pastries. I personally love their flaky, sweet but balanced cheese danishes. Top 3 drinks would be the purple one, moon blue, and blue bayou! The prices are excellent for them being such specialty drinks. Not to mention, the service is always excellent!! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I’m so grateful to live just around the corner bc I’m obsessed!

We've been here about 7-8 times now. We were excited to have a new coffee shop nearby. I enjoy one of their Vietnamese cold brews. Pretty much been sticking with that. I haven't had their food, but my friend had a little meat pie (?) on one of our visits and liked it fine enough. We haven't returned in over a month due to the dismissive service we've received a few times. The last visit, for instance, we asked a single question, and the barista/employee could not have been more dismissive. He clearly didn't want to be bothered, and of course, why would we want to return somewhere that isn't warm towards its customers. This has NOT happened every time, but it has happened twice. We figured we'd give it some time since most other experiences have been positive. It's a shame when it's a few blocks away. The environment is OK. There are usually people working from their laptops, seemingly quite comfortably.

Yay! A new coffee place in my area. With the abundance of coffee shops, I'm glad Little Dreamer is now in this area from Oak Forest. I've tried them at the Heights Mercantile farmer's market, and I love their coffee. Today is the official grand opening and also happens to be Pi Day, so they had an abundance of pie today. Naturally. I got to meet Matt Toomey who opened this location and is also the founder of Boomtown Coffee. He took my order and was so nice and personable. I had the Salted Butterscotch with oat milk. It was made perfectly and with the right temperature. It wasn't overly hot, and I love that you can take a sip right away. The red eye chocolate pie is delicious and is a combo of chocolate and espresso. The whipped cream cuts the richness, and the crust is great. There's plenty of seating with high and low tables and counter seating. They had a DJ mixing up beats which was nice cause it wasn't overly loud. The bonus is that there's a decent size parking lot and side street parking. I'll be back. Come check them out!

Coffee and pie?! That's an absolute winner for me. I had a slice of strawberry apple on recommendation. It was some of the best pie I've had. My husband loved his salted butterscotch latte.
