Not just a taproom: the Dayton outpost pairs farmhouse ales with a seasonal, farm-to-table kitchen led by a James Beard semifinalist chef in 2023. Local press and Ohio magazines applaud the thoughtful, rotating menu.

Google
What a great find! The food was excellent and well-proportioned, and the diversity of beer was fun with excellent stouts and IPAs. We loved the falafel plate, beet salad - with a tasty beer infused balsamic dressing, and burger cooked just right. The environment is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming, with nice servers. We will be back!

Google
What a GEM! These people rock! The food is "FINGERLICKING" amazing.. and.. I'm not going to lie. Their handmade mustard and ketchup got me really impressed! 😂 I was so full with a "pulled pork sandwich" and still would've loved to try the rest of the food in the menu. Hopefully, I can stop by again before my trip back home.

Google
Highly recommend Little Fish Brewing Company! Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts have brought me back twice during my visit in Dayton. The waitstaff are very kind and helpful. All around a welcoming place with great food!

Google
Absolutely love the vibe of this former train depot. Perfect time of year to enjoy great food out on the patio. Great bar with plenty of adult beverage options for anyone. Service is always warm and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit.

Google
Fantastic place, great vibes, great beer and one amazing burger. Well done little fish. High on my list of recommends in Dayton

Google
Food was amazing. So good! I got the salmon dip (the bread was fantastic), and the lamb kabob wrap. For beer I had the pilsner. I would highly recommend it all

Google
My husband & I are on a work trip in Dayton & came across this unique restaurant. Loved it to say the least! The Chimi fries are the best! The Falafel Plate was so fresh & flavorful! Also, the Pork & Beef Bolognese entree was like no pasta we have ever had, house made noodles, meaty, light & creamy… Just amazing!! The fun beers, the bubbly staff and the warm and welcoming atmosphere was all part of our favorite evening in Dayton! This place is a must visit!! We will for sure be back even if we don't have a work trip to come to. 🍻

Google
Fantastic beer, fantastic food. Stopped in on drive to Kentucky, was not disappointed. Blown away by unique beer and food offerings. As a Michigander I’m supposed to hate Ohio…but this place is amazing.

Yelp
Super experience on our way to Dayton Dragons game a few weeks ago. The wait staff were so attentive and fast service. It's a little brewery with a bar and several areas of seating. The beer selection of crafts were great. I had the fries with special mushroom sauce and Brussels sprouts. My friend had the salad. All with special extras and flavors- so good. Ample amounts of great food to share. I'll definitely return.

Yelp
We stopped for beer after a meeting downtown Dayton. Cool place. We didn't eat so this review is only based on the beer. I had Dear Science hazy. My So had the Stanzo hazy. Both were very nice beers. Service was fast and the beer was great. Oh, ya... I'll be back!

Yelp
Small but delicious menu. There were 4 entrees available today, several shareables and 2 desserts. They serve one lean delicious burger. There was a falafel plate also, and a shrimp po-boy. Had a couple fine beers and sampled a couple more. They always have an interesting saison or sour, and some fresh IPAs. Another thing I like is that they have 5 separate toilets in their own rooms, 2 are handicap accessible, all are gender neutral.

Yelp
This place is in an old train or trolley station it's very industrial and super cute. They have fish decor on the walls! We tried a flight and it was very good. The wait staff was nice and we would come back.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks and some snacks. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well with plenty of options on the beer menu. We each found something we liked and one member of our group ordered a cocktail they loved. Our group ordered a burger as well as some of the apps like the bread and cheese dips which were both really tasty.

Yelp
Get. In. My. Face. Was finally able to try Little Fish today. YUM. Run, do not walk, and get the fried green tomato sandwich while you can. The tomato season is just about gone They also have GF and V options if you need them FIVE STARS! Definitely recommend. No notes.

Yelp
We visited Little Fish for dinner before a Dayton Dragons game. The inside is pretty small, so if you have a larger party you'll probably want to call ahead. The menu was not what I was expecting for a brewery. It has a unique selection ranging from stir fry to falafels. I tried the house burger and got pimento with crackers for an appetizer. The service was pretty slow and it took a while to get our food. The burger was pretty good, but it came with house made ketchup that ended up being more like a paste. I'm always confused when restaurants attempt to make a home made ketchup variety. Ketchup is so simple, just serve up some regular Heinz or Red Gold. Instead, the homemade paste was rather off putting. Overall, fairly average in my book.

Yelp
Amazing selection of sours and other unique brews. The menu is small, but very well thought out. The fries are insane, especially with the aioli. Also the Brussels are some of the best I've had.

Yelp
We went with our friends here for a late dinner after watching the UD women's volleyball match against Davidson. After checking to make sure we could be seated, we were, we went inside and had a pretty good table near the entry door. At first they did not want us to sit there in case a larger party were to come in. But we kind of talked them into letting us have it. Good move on their part. The menu is simple but interesting. We ordered drinks and the Brussels spouts appetizer. Really good! Then we each ordered our main course. The food again was very good. Our server made sure we were well taken care of. The place itself is in an old railroad depot. So pretty cool to see. They make at least some of their own beers. The vats were near us. The beer, but the way, was very good. All in all a good experience.

Yelp
In an old freight building in Dayton. I like the atmosphere! Nice selection of beers. Belgian, IPAs, sours, lagers, stouts. If you're into trying something different for the cold weather.... Try the Pinche Guey... a Mexican chocolate with cinnamon and a very slight burn. Great for a crappy snowy cold football day. Excellent IPAs... parking on site.

Yelp
Food is ok but been 2 times - they refuse to give you "fries on the side" Or "salad on the side". Waitress pretty clueless and blamed messing up our order (one meal never came, sandwich came with fries - asked for both fries and salad and I will pay for that - nope, we don't do that....- what the heck? ) - anyway, blamed 3 mishaps on "receipts in the kitchen..??" - nah. Previous time friend wanted an egg on side - it was brunch - also said "chefs don't like to do that!" Hell, you're not a Michelin restaurant - this is Dayton - get over yourselves - food is seriously not THAT good that you can have such an air . Won't be back

Yelp
Wow this place is outstanding! First let me share that Little Fish Brewing has a kids menu. The regular menu is great but I didn't think my kids would eat the food. Finally I took a chance and to my surprise they had a great kids menu. I've avoided the place for awhile because I didn't know they had a kids menu, it's not noted online. The atmosphere is fun and modern in an old rail depot type building with a beautiful wooden bar and lots of natural light. The food is so flavorful! I had the beet veggie burger and the crispy Brussel Sprout app, both were delicious. Others in our party had a pork dish and a risotto dish and both were great. The beers are good too. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my visit to Little Fish this weekend. I've always enjoyed their brews but this was my first time visiting the brewery. The location itself is pretty cool. It's a big modern bar with lots of seats and tables. I have the Te Araroa Hazy IPA and it was awesome!! Floral and citrusy just the way I love it. I completely recommend Little Fish and can't wait to go back to try more brews!

Yelp
We went back after not having done so in a year and loved it just as much as the first time! They do an amazing job of keeping a seasonal menu and give this Bobcat a little taste of Athens.

Yelp
Passing through on a work trip. Hungover from the night before. This burger saved my life. Also one of the best burgers I've ever had. And I lived in NY for 13 years. So I've had some good ones. It's simple but that garlic aoli and bun put it over the top. Servers were great and big open interior. Beer was great too.

chris P.

Yelp
Pros: -Service -Staff is knowledgeable about the food and beers -atmosphere -very good beer Cons: -food prices -food prep -limited menu I got the burger. It was extremely salty. I ate half of it before I couldn't eat any more of it. The server handled my feedback well and offered me another burger or a different accommodation. I declined both. I also agree with one of the other reviews: just give some good old ketchup. I don't understand why they think people would prefer to eat their fries with tomato paste instead of ketchup. My wife got the noodle bowl. It was good but had very strong flavors. It just seems like they are trying to be fancy for the sake of being fancy, and to justify premium pricing.

Yelp
My visit to Little Fish was outstanding. The drinks were amazing, and the service was top-notch. The fried green tomato BLT was a standout dish--absolutely exceptional!

Yelp
Cute. In an old warehouse, next to 2nd street warehouse. Exposed Brick and lots of windows. We shared the curry mixed nuts (good but couldn't taste the curry) and the charcuterie board which was really good. Second best one we've ever had.

Yelp
One of the fancier breweries in Dayton! They have more of an emphasis on sours and farmhouses, but they do have a little bit of variety on the beer menu. Woodthrush is my favorite! The food was a bit on the pricey side, but delicious nonetheless. One recommendation for the business: Have some of the popular beers canned! The large crowlers are nice, but having premade cans are more convenient, last longer, and you can share it with more people.

Yelp
The food was incredible. We stopped by here only planning to have a drink, but once we took a look at the menu we couldn't resist ordering some bites. We had the nuts + greens salad and the radishes with whipped feta. The flavor in both dishes was unreal. So good! The beers were pretty good. Nothing rocked my socks off, but I did like that they had reduced gluten options. The Shirt Brothers was my favorite that I tried on the flight, but when we went to order a full size it was empty. Great service! Overall Little Fish is a place I'd look forward to coming back to! :)

Yelp
Food is great, beer is great and the atmosphere is great. Service is hit or miss, I've been twice. The first time I went , I was with my husband and our server was fantastic. The second time I went, I was with my gal pals and our service sucked. Refills on water were non existent and our table just seemed to be forgotten. Food and beer/wine were great both times.

Yelp
I have to say it - I was not impressed. First impressions the staff was completely overwhelmed. There was one server who was doing his absolute best to bus every table but still needed kitchen workers to help bring out the food. Now let me be clear, even while being completely overwhelmed our server was still friendly and did his absolute best to make our experience good. Okay - the beer - was actually good I ordered a sour that tasted like a garden and I was very much here for it. But the food (that everyone ranted and raved about on here) was not for me. I got the burger and I expected more. On the menu, it stated the burger was served pink and mine was definitely well and I was missing my pickles. That being said everything was extremely salty from the burger to the fries to even the salad. My partner really enjoyed the salt but it was far too much for me personally. All in all especially for the price I expected more and was let down. Only time will tell if my partner can talk me back into round two.

Yelp
Hard to beat a dining experience where you are served at your table by the chef himself! Super nice guy, and excellent food. Kind of a hodge podge of selections on the menu but all very yummy, we shared a couple of beers and the burger. Delicious fries and juicy burger, what more can you ask for!

Jamie L.

Yelp
Service was great and the beer was good! But the food was just ok. I'd try somewhere else before going back.

Yelp
Great selection of craft beers, unique and creative cocktails, the HumuHumu is worth it. The Stouts were smooth. Only tried some apps and all done very well,

Yelp
Cool place in old rail terminal. Nice beer selection and still offering a good selection of dark beers in May.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday night. This brewery is part of the Miami valley ale trail so we got our books stamped. I tried the smoked helles lager and the Lay & Love Sour. My son is a sour connoisseur and he really enjoyed it. The smoked beer was very good. We had Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were good. Nice decor and vibe. Service was decent. Very friendly. The only downfall is that parking is limited and the venue itself is very narrow/small. It was very crowded and really hard to move around. Overall though a decent experience. Lots of beer styles on tap. A little pricey but again what isn't these days? We will likely return at some point.

Nick P.

Yelp
Nothing was bad, nothing was great. Had the burger and bread. Price point seemed really high for what you got. Tried three beers really enjoyed the guava beer, the pinche imperial had a unpleasant aftertaste. Glad we tried it. Probably one and done

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Pros... kid menu- they had one Good beer Clean Good server- kept checking on us Interesting space- I overheard our server tell another group it was an old train depot maintenance building Tried to make things right- gave us crackers, cheddar cheese cubes, and a few apple slices along with fries for waiting so long Since we Cons... Tight space Long wait (an hour) for a cheese plate and grilled cheese. They lost our ticket. Gave us an extra fry and a few cheese cubes, saltine crackers, and apple slices to tide us over. Configuration of tables caused us to move table several times or squeeze through another table's space. Somewhat expensive (I know, inflation) Don't add the oysters to your cheese board! They are from a can. Misprint in menu so kids were sorely disappointed that instead of tomato soup with their $8 grilled cheese they had about 4 slices of apples. Honestly didn't hate the place just a place I have checked off the list. Cool place just not for us.

Yelp
Went to Little Fish on a whim. Ended up with terrific food, beer, and service--and cannot say enough about the latter. The staff was very friendly and had excellent suggestions. The food was excellent, in an earthy, hipster kind of way. The beer was much the same way. The ingredients appear locally-sourced and everything could have come off of a farmer's table (but one who happens to subscribe to The Nation or Slate). Will go back at the end of this year's beer tour.

Yelp
Food amazing! The brussels, the fries, the grilled cheese and tomato soup!!! Service outstanding!! Go see, Hannah! Cool ambiance! I think about the food and have been twice in the last week. Great addition to the area!

Yelp
We went the night of the grand opening. We ordered several different charcuterie boards to get a variety of the food. I ordered the caprese salad for myself and I was amazing. All the food was so good! You could tell the ingredients were all fresh and local. The pickled veggies were some of my favorites. The pickling wasn't over powering at all. They were just right! I was a little sad when they ran out of one if the cocktails I wanted to try. But the other cocktails were great too. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
food, service and atmosphere were all amazing!!!! can't wait to come back! First time here but definitely not the last!!!!

Yelp
These folks don't know how to cook a burger, and want to charge you $15 for the experience of biting into said raw hamburger. Take your money elsewhere and have an enjoyable dining experience. The quality of food and the prices they charge are an insult, the beer is nothing special either.

Chris H.

Yelp
I have been here several times. The food is always good. The first time my husband and I ate there we ordered the Fall Charcuterie Board and a salad. It was amazing and very fresh. We later went several times with family and friends getting sandwiches (hamburger and other entrees). The service was good even one night when our server said it was her first night. Loved the Pawpaw flavored beer. One night we celebrated our retirement with friends and family. Even with a large group the cocktails and service were excellent.

Yelp
Overall summary: beer and food are top notch. Expect food to arrive slow, beer to arrive ASAP, and to have a relaxed meal. Here's what my wife and I tried: Beyond excellent: saison, hazy, October fest, amber bier de garde, come at me beau (Czech Pilsner), and stouts!!!! The saison is amazing. I got that and the fest in growlers. We got bottles of the Mexican and moonville stouts to go. Too good to not share. Can definitely tell they executed full bodied and higher gravity beers excellently. I can't call this my favorite brewery in Dayton on one experience but will definitely refer people here. Sours good - decent body and SOUR. Not the lame excuse where the beer tastes contaminated. Food: We got the squash soup and the harrissa carrots as an app. Wow, great flavor. Big portion sizes. I was watching the chef through the open-view kitche braise the carrots. Didn't come quick but worth it. My wife got a rissoto and it was amazing. I got the beet burger and it hit the spot. Must be a Mecca for vegetarians - much better than typical vegetarian burgers and totally unique with smoked beets and a really tangy sauce. Came with a side salad with a very solid but light dressing. Fresh lettuce with no signs of being too old. (Ordered veggies this time since been eating the same pork butt all week). Pickled vegetables were good especially with the pickling spices but did not care for the zucchini - pickled zucchini still needs cooking to reach top notch. The chocolate pot -me and the wife agreed - was the best chocolate mousse thingy we've ever tasted. The chocolate part was super thick and yummy, but oh my god, that sauce. So boozy and never had anything like it. Was worth it. So the downs were that the kitchen was slammed and everything took a whole. Portions were pretty big so that soaked up a lot of time. Actually I didn't mind it since I was engorged in the food and in beer candy land and generally the atmosphere was chill and relaxed. However, not good if you have other plans for the evening and are expecting wham Jam thank you Ma'am like a typical brewpub. It's pretty new. I predict two things: kitchen will get a little faster and they will raise prices since the food quality and attention to details were so meticulous that it's hard to imagine that they can make a profit. This was better than our last steak house meal by quite a bit (minus that buttery medium rare t bone steak always beats vegetarian meals but every other item it holds true.) in particular, the beer was not cheap, but damn it must have 10X the malt compared to the typical domestic beer and twice that of a typical 'craft' brewer - hard to see how they'll maintain prices in 2023. But feel blessed to have had such a meal before that breaking point. Cheers. Parking was easy for Dayton. Free parking right next to the building. We could see a sunset through the windows, but the indoor deck was real good.

Yelp
Fantastic food, service, beers & atmosphere. The Dayton location is doing a great job

Charls C.

Yelp
Food was really good and tasted very fresh, but on the pricey side. Nice selection of beer too. It was very strange that there was zero flexibility on their cocktails. They use vodka in some signature drinks, but they would not make a vodka and soda...even offer, they said they would sell a second shot to offset the overpowering of their mixer, but not alone; plus they sold us a bottle (expensive bottle) of club soda. Dumb way to lose a repeat customer, which they did. We unfortunately were relegated to the brunch menu, so never got to try their main menu. But $60 before tip for brunch with 1 Bloody Mary, 1 Beer and 1 bottle water, and the lack of flexibility with bar menu, don't think we will be back for another round. While. It for us, food was good, cool interior and service was good.

Teri R.

Yelp
Outstanding food and beer options that are Gluten reduced. Great service and the environment is industrial comfort. Will be coming back.

Linda H.

Yelp
Along with the great sour beer and the beautiful historic ambiance we just ate some beautifully crafted food. The carrots and baba ghanoush we so tasty. We then shared the beet burger with fries as our entree and it was all so well seasoned and spiced. It was such a delightful meal. Also, the wait staff were top notch.

Mr Incognito I.

Yelp
Awful service! It took me a half hour to order a beer. Got frustrated, went to the bar, and service was horrible there too. Not a fan of their beers.

Kailyn H.

Yelp
Staff was so friendly! The garlic aioli fries were delicious. Can't wait to try more on the next visit!

Melissa A.

Yelp
Date night!! We just went for drinks and appetizers! My new FAVORITE place in Dayton.

Casandra C.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Really enjoyed the feel of the place. It was fun and laid back. Staff was friendly. Beer selection was great. My husband loves sour beers and he was not disappointed by Little Fish.
