On the Grid : Little Flower Candy Cafe

"The Little Flower Candy Cafe is one of the best cafes in Pasadena. It is charming, quiet, and pretty much always full of families. It is refreshing after so many cafes full of freelancers and screenwriters, to be around people at a cafe just to get a cup of coffee. That being said, coffee is not all Little Flower has to offer. They make their own marshmallows and candy, which you will see at many other shops and markets in Pasadena. They also have an incredible kitchen cooking up pastries, and come lunch- delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads. When you want the feel like a small town cafe, head to Little Flower." - OSSO

A great staple cafe with fresh food and baked goods. Also a go to spot for knick knacks and quick gifts. They are known for their candies and marshmallows but it holds an eclectic collection of items. The place is small with limited seating but it is a cute place to get away to.

While the cleanliness of the shop and the convenience of the little store inside for ordering are positives, my experience at this brunch spot was somewhat underwhelming. The setup, where you order first and then find a table, can be a bit chaotic, especially during busy weekends when tables are hard to come by. Although the food was decent, it didn't quite meet my expectations, and the service left something to be desired. Overall, while it's an okay option for brunch, the mediocre service and hassle of finding a table mean that I won't be returning in the future.

I think I have a crush on Little Flower. I don't live in Pasadena, so I came across it one day and decided to try it out due to the good reviews. It is such an adorable little place, and despite being right off the freeway, it some manages to maintain it's quaintness and peace even that close to the 134. The pastries are what makes it shine. I am addicted to the almond croissant. it is flaky and although it has a generous dusting of powdered sugar, it still manages to not feel overly sweet. It is absolutely delish as was the cinnamon roll with pecans and raisins and the shortbread. I also had the scramble with fennel and sausage and I LOVED it. They have a subtlety that isn't too heavy handed with just a touch of parmesan cheese. My aunt got the Green Goddess salad and loved it and the quiche and strata were awesome too. The strata was remarkable with brocolli, tomato, the perfect combination of veggies and cheese, hearty and filling and such a generous portion my mom and I split it. They also have a wonderful assortment of candies, sauces, honey and beans. Little Flower has definitely become one of my go-tos that I must visit whenever I am in Pasadena. I highly recommend it.

First time here. Impressions: Cute looking little cafe, with too much going on. Merchandise is cool and interesting. Coffee is okay. Pastries are sweet, presentation needs improvement, it didn’t taste fresh to me. The brownie is technically good, but it needs more body. The chocolate sea salt cookie wasn’t crunchy or chewy, a NO for me. The chocolate cake with coffee buttercream felt like it was made out of a cake mix from the store, and the buttercream did not taste good. It needs work, buy it has potential. Less items and more precision its needed. Quality over quantity. More creativity would help as well.

Google
A great little cafe with a great menu selection, super friendly staff and a fun eclectic selection of various gifts in the shop! Cute outdoor seating in the front but if there are no spots, order to go and take the food to the nearby park!

Google
A cute little cafe in a nice neighborhood and the coffee was good. HOWEVER they served my muslim friend a bacon quiche after we told them 3 times that we wanted the vegetarian option, so the service wasn’t that great.

This place is my all time favorite breakfast place. Small area for seating so go early. They also have a bunch of fun items in their shop that make perfect gifts. Menu changes frequently but if there are pretzel rolls those are a must.

I dream about Little Flower's pastries and bread pudding. An absolute thrilling variety of house made offerings, plus artisanal goods, and all sooo good. Thank you for existing, I hope you always do!

Yelp
Little Flower Cafe has been a hub of the community for 17 years. I had not been there for a number of years (and never dined in)... After hearing that Little Flower has been feeding those who've lost everything in the devastating Eaton Wildfire disaster, as well as first responders, fire fighters, etc., I really wanted to go and support. We went for breakfast on a weekday, and were able to sit inside where there are about 5 small tables next to the window. There is also outdoor seating on the front patio. Interior is cozy, bright and cheerful. Service is friendly and efficient. I ordered at the counter, and they brought our order to the table. My Mom had the Breakfast Bowl--- White bean, sausage, baby kale, fennel, onion, lemon dressing, pistou with poached egg. I had the Veggie Bagel - Cream cheese, mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, avocado, red pepper & carrot on a toasted everything bagel. Everything was great! The bagel had a lot of greens, and I wish it had some dressing, as it was dry. But we enjoyed our breakfast. My Mom got a small to-go box to take some of her Breakfast Bowl home. I was going to get some cookies to take home, but the line was too long. It was bustling, and great to see both indoors and outdoor patio full with customers. I was able to find street parking right in front of the cafe. Recommended. You can follow them on Instagram: @little_flower_cafe

Yelp
"All you need is love & caramels," that is the moto of this cute little café & confectionery. Inside you'll find gourmet pantry staples, candy, cookbooks, stationary, and unique gift items. In addition to coffee & baked goods, sandwiches, salads, & breakfast items are also available and everything is made fresh daily. I stopped by on my way home from the Rose Parade and picked up a vanilla latte with almond milk & a strawberry rose scone to go. The latte was basic but satisfying. The scone was fantastic - slightly crumbly with fresh strawberries bakes inside and topped with a thin layer of rose icing. I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner but I will return to try more of their baked goods and specialty candies and even pick up some gifts for my foodie friends. *Small lot in the back or street parking. *Catering available. "Don't be bitter. Be better." `

Yelp
A need for post run coffee and breakfast brought us to Little Flower. Cute, almost hidden little cafe that offers so much more than you'd think. We walked in and were surprised to see shelves and displays full of candies, Christmas decor (all 50% off right now), teas, coffee, pottery, snacks, seasoning, books, kids' items and so much more. At the counter you can find baked items, prepared meals, and canned drinks for sale. I would never have lot there would be so many options. The staff was super friendly. We placed our order and waited to the side. We realized quickly this cafe was crazy popular. Indoor and outdoor seating areas were full and there was a constant steady flow of customers in line and picking up orders to go. Our items were presented to us in white paper bags and we were off to enjoy them at home. What we ordered: - Hot Vanilla Latte with almond milk (it was ok. would have liked a stronger espresso) - Breakfast sandwich (loved the caramelized onions. something other than sliced toasted wheat would have elevated the sandwich) - Egg and bacon burrito (very tasty. decent portion size) -Vanilla Caramel Bread Pudding (massive piece of vanilla bread pudding smothered in a ridiculous amount of gooey caramel sauce. so freaking good. might take us a couple days to finish it) Will be back next time we are running at the Rose Bowl. So many yummy items we want to try.

Yelp
Ok, one of THE premiere little bakeries in Pasadena. They make their own everything, and daily. The menu is varied - lots of breakfast and lunch options. Pop in - you won't be disappointed. Lots of culinary-supported merchandise, impulse items, and great coffees and teas to take with you. The specialty menu changes daily, but they're really good about updating their website every morning. In my opinion, the quiches are some of the best. They also cater and do specialty cakes and chocolates for the holidays. High recommend.

Yelp
What a lovely little spot in Pasadena! We stopped by after a morning at the Huntington, and were very impressed with the assortment of delicious lunch items they had. My friend and I each got different baguette sandwiches, and our other friend got one of their white bean salad bowls. Everything was excellent, and we felt like the price of the food matched the quantity and quality (always a winning combo!)

Yelp
Small and cute cafe for pastries, coffee, salads, sandwiches. I got a delicious arugula salad with prosciutto, avocado, beans, Parmesan, and a fried egg. We had ordered some coffees but had never received them, they quickly rectified once addressed and got us out forgotten drinks. There are a couple tables both inside and outside.

Yelp
Great coffee, tasty sandwiches and delicious/fresh baked goods. I usually stop by here after my chiropractor or massage appointments. staff are all friendly and welcoming. This isn't your average coffee shop, everything I've tried here has been delicious and it's obvious that they have true talent working in the kitchen (especially the pastries). Ambiance is charming with lots of cooking ingredients for sale, stationary, candles, cookies, candies, toys and cook books. Had a chance to meet the owner while waiting and she's so sweet! I've worked at a lot of coffee shops in the past, and appreciate Mom and Pop shops and all the hard work behind it all. Definitely recommend anyone to come and try this place out!

Yelp
Try their breakfast bowl! So delicious with cooked sausage sprinkled on a bed of fresh greens and a poached egg! The oil vinegar dressing is on it and you mix the greens with the sausage and it's sooo good! Oh! It comes with a crispy bread. It seems like it's been toasted :) Wonderful experience!

Yelp
This cafe is really cute. The moment you walk in, it looks like a artisan gift shop with teas, candies, books and cards. The employees were friendly and welcoming. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and my friend had a hot matcha. It did take a little while for our drinks to be ready so we spent time shopping the store. Maybe the wait is intentional so we can buy stuff haha! The vanilla latte was nice with the right amount of sweet. I wouldve preferred it to have more espresso taste tho.

Yelp
Quality, everything here is curated & quality. I love the place. Nestled between eagle rock & Pasadena with a park across the street for moms who want to get their coffee/lunch and take their kids out. They have nutritious & delicious breakfast and lunch options with huge pastry case of rotating and seasonal options of muffins, scones, cakes & cookies. The store is filled to the brim with beautiful items like jams, hot sauces, soup mixes, dried goods, books, toys, decorations, home goods and so much more. The service is good, swift and professional.

Yelp
A staple in the community for years. I recommend and love the Ruben sandwich. Thinly sliced pastrami, spicy brown mustard, Swiss cheese, pickles, baguette, with red cabbage, and Russian dressing.

Yelp
Everything about this place, AMAZING. There have the absolute best pastries here. This means a lot coming from a certified sweet connoisseur. The olive oil cake is my favorite. So rich and so moist. Not overly sweet. So good. Service here is amazing. Everyone is so kind and attentive. They call you by your name. To me, it's the little things that make all the difference. Ambiance is nice. Very warm and welcoming. Theres always a good amount of people sitting and enjoying their food. This is a dead giveaway that their food is great. A true hidden gem in pasadena

Yelp
Very cute inside and has a little market! Good healthy food options good for people with different diets, with fresh tasting ingredients. The house salad is a little citrusy and yum! Quiche was a huge slice and very filling! Service was nice and helped me pick what to order!

Yelp
Stopped here for a Bahn Mi sandwich and it was so good! I'm bummed I live too far to come often but next time I'm in the area I will be stopping here again!

Yelp
I must say I absolutely love love love this place every time I've gotten food here. It is delicious now I'm the type of person that I am gonna order when I know I am going to like I'd like the veggie bagel no tomato no cucumber however I do add smoked salmon on top and it is the most delicious thing I've ever had. I love that day. Have a great service and allow me to modify The order to my liking. Whoever has written a negative review about this. Please ignore that because every time I come here hasn't failed me. The coffee is delicious. The olive oil cake is number one. I typically don't crave sweets but when I do, I always crave this and it's such a great cake for celebrating any occasion and You won't regret it. The ambience I wish was a little better but when it is a really nice day outside I love sitting outside because sometimes they could get busy in the shop. It's constant people walking by you, but it doesn't bother me.
google avatar

Yelp
Not the most welcoming place to me. It's a slight when the cashier that takes my order is only matter-of-fact, but is immediately high pitched voice, smiles and "have a nice day" to the white woman immediately following me. The huevos rancheros was a soggy mess. Too much sauce. Not enough cheese. Barely any beans. The coffee was solid. I thought about buying a pastry, then reconsidered. They certainly didn't seem to appreciate me being there. Lastly, the outdoor seating is right below the 134 Fwy. It wasn't pleasant even with my ear buds in. ( The young lady that brought my food, with the emo/gothish/rocker vibes was very pleasant. I don't regret the gratuity I gave, because of her. )

Yelp
What an extreme rip off. Barely anything between the bread ... and let's not even talk about the bread. Cold and low-quality bread used for sandwiches. Who uses a single piece of cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich for $10? And don't get me started on that empty tuna sandwich between two pieces of wheat. It's almost $15 and comes with a dill spear. I'm appalled. Don't even get me started on the service. They couldn't be bothered with any questions and seemed rushed with the order process. It was my first time there. The place was packed and I actually didn't get a seat at all because after waiting, someone scooped me for the table when a couple finally did get up. Haha The cookie was delicious, ($3.50 each) but the sandwiches were mediocre at best and came with no sides for an astronomical price. I normally don't yelp a small biz, but when you toss in the nonchalant service, here it is. It's a really cute looking place in terms of aesthetics, and I am sure the locals love it as it was full to the gills, but I am not thinking they will miss me when I don't return.

Yelp
Super cute small store with lots of tchotchkes (little things to look at and purchase) inside, be it little hair clips, dolls, ornaments, candy, fancy marshmallows, and then a glass case of bread pudding, desserts, cookies. Then at the counter, you can order sandwiches, soup, etc. I got the curry chicken sandwich on ciabatta; the chicken and bread were both pretty dry bites, even with the apricot jam, but the lettuce helped balance it a little. The oatmeal raisin cookie was very thin, but also chewy. Seating is outside on the sidewalk, with huge umbrellas. There is a small park nearby that you can walk around in, and above the cafe, you can hear the nearby freeway. Service was bringing out the dishes to the sidewalk. Very crowded and small space. Cute to visit! Food is just OK.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean, simple, light. The only part where it loses a star is that there's only seating on the street and it gets really hot in the summer. Tip: swap the feta for goat cheese in the greek salad!

Yelp
I dunno. but sometimes I have little faith in cafes who try to do to much...gifts...coffee...baked goods...lunch.... You got a lot on your plate to get right all at the same time and do justice don't you. Pick one thing and get good at it...It seems that Little Flower must have the magic touch for all three done well as it was packed every time we went. Even in the rain Over two days We had breakfast and lunch. I had a couple of cookies, a really good sandwich...bring a friend....the sandwich was huge. And breakfast was outstanding says my friend with the poached eggs and dressed greens. I had an egg sandwich that was cooked scrambled and they were both pretty wonderful. The books and other various interesting items for purchase were in enticing but you really couldn't look sometimes as every one was circling around each other in a small space to wait for their orders. That made wanting to stand in line again to make a non food purchase kind of tough. I really came for the coffee (yelped it out). Which was pretty average in barista terms and came away rating the food miles ahead.

Yelp
Full disclosure...I am a biscuit junkie. I grew up with my grandparents who hail from the south and so I know a good biscuit when I taste it. I'm not talking about these supper fluffy, floury, poufy biscuits some places pass off. I'm talking about a biscuit that is slightly crisp on the outside and hot and fluffy on the INSIDE. Bonus if the biscuit was originally cut with a SQUARE cutter! Now that you get the idea - I will tell you that my quest for a biscuit in this area has been tough. But, as usual, YELP didn't let me down. The Yelpers said that Little Flower has a really good biscuit. They were right! Hubs and I tried it today and I was so pleasantly surprised and a bit alarmed at such a biscuit located so close to my home! The only place that edges this one out (just ever so slightly) for best biscuit is located far, far away in Grover Beach, CA - so I was relatively safe from giving in to my every biscuit craving. But now...Little Flower poses a real threat to that peace! Went in for the biscuit and ended up with 2 scones (raspberry and blood orange (OMG!) and blueberry and orange blossom (wow!), and a biscuit breakfast sandwich. I'll start with the obvious - the biscuit. It had the correct look (square) and was the correct color (lightly browned). When I tore it apart, I could feel that the outside was ever so crisped and then the steam from the hot and fluffy inside wafted up to greet me! Paired with pure butter and apricot preserves, it was flawless! Hubby said the biscuit sandwich was excellent and kept him full for hours! It was served on one of those amazing biscuits - so naturally, it was delicious. Anything would be on those biscuits. The sleeper hits of the day were the scones! Wow!! They were really, in all honesty, the BEST scones I've ever had. I'm 55 years old and know my way around a scone. These are not those hard, dry scones that require multiple gulps of coffee or tea to choke them down. The outside was so very lightly crisp and the inside was so delicate and light. The flavors were really surprising too. I thought the icing on the outside would make them overly sweet - but it did not. They were really wonderful. The outside tables were close together, so if you're not a fan of listening to others talk aloud while you eat, then get your biscuit to go. We enjoyed sitting outside and liked that there was self service water available. The coffee was very good too. The bakery also has a cute store with unique items attached to it. I saw some really nice items that I am keeping in mind for birthdays and other special occasions where a gift is in order. Plus...it gives me an excuse to eat biscuits! What a great find right here in Pasadena! Nice job Little Flower!!

Yelp
This spot has been on my list for a couple months now, ever since I moved to Pasadena. One morning, I decided to stop by with my boyfriend after work at the hospital. 1. The service was very bad. It was our first time here, and we had questions regarding the breakfast menu. The woman attending us at the cashier, kept asking us after every item we ordered "for here or to go?". We felt as if she was rushing us because of the line behind us. Look I get it, you want to keep the line moving. But there's no way you'll have new customers return by rushing them like that. 2. The pastries were cold. She didn't offer to heat them up, so the fact that there's no option to have them heated is a bummer. No flavor either sadly. Ordered the chocolate croissant 3. Only outdoor seating. It was super cold, so sitting outside was an absolute no. Also, the shop is located right in front of the highway. So if you do decide to sit, you will be hearing all the cars on the highway. 4. The inside is bombarded with a bunch of items. We came last week so lots of Valentine's Day stuff. It's cute, but a bit overwhelming since the interior is very small. 5. We parked in front, but we also came at 8AM so we might have got lucky. I believe there is a back lot as well.

Yelp
Boy, we were so disappointed with our order today. We used to come here as it's a cute spot and we were impressed by the quality of the food, but, after today, I don't think we'll be returning. A family favorite had been the egg salad sandwich; in times past it came on high quality bread, with plenty of filling, sprouts, etc. and a pickle. Today--well, just look at this. And it cost almost $13.00! Pathetic.

Yelp
This morning, we were out in Arcadia, CA. After my wife's appointment, she asked where to eat. I took her to Little Flower in Pasadena. This is her first time eating at Little Flower. I'm been there several times. I ordered the Beet and goat cheese salad. My wife ordered the Chef's salad. We got our salads, my wife noticed got a Cobb salad instead of Chef salad. Stephanie realized the mistake and quickly placed right order. When she returned with the Chef salad, she added a bag with 2 cookies and apologized for the mistake We appreciate her efforts in making things right. As for the food, our salads were very fresh and delicious. The dark chocolate almond bites were out of this world-amazing. The cookies were delicious. DJ's rating 4.80/5.00 Would I come back? Definitely Yes.

Yelp
This place needs to learn how to say, "We don't serve decaf coffee." Turns out they do serve decaf espresso drinks but it took 30 minutes to find this out and a request for refund. It's a simple thing really.

Yelp
Little Flower is a cute spot with a wide selection of baked goods as well as some grocery and other retail items. It's a pretty small store so it can get packed fairly quickly, and with only a couple of tables outside you probably won't be able to dine here when they're busy. Anyways, I really wanted to love this place because I love little knick knack stores/cafes, and it really is a an adorable little shop. Unfortunately, most of my bakery items were just so-so. A few of the desserts I purchased were good, like the plum coffee cake and pumpkin cheesecake. However the rest weren't nearly as impressive. The almond croissant was pretty dry and I've definitely had better. The financier was also average. And the maple scone was a hard pass. So the bakery items I selected were a mixed bag between good, mediocre, and disappointing. Again, it's a cute spot but I'm not sure I'd go back.

Yelp
For people who don't care for the details, the quick summary is don't come here if you want good customer service, are limited on time, and if you like good food. For those of you want the nitty gritty of this post, I will say that typically I will not write a bad review for a small businesses because I understand how difficult it is to make it out there. If I don't like a place, I'll go once and never go back again. Unfortunately, Little Flower is my local cafe. I want to LOVE this place. And I have given this place one too many chances. I even waited a day to write this post to make sure I was level headed before writing a negative review. Sadly, it's been over 24 hours and I still feel like this review is warranted. For starters, the food AND coffee here are completely hit or miss. It used to be just the food that was mediocre, some of their pastries are decent but more recently even the coffee has also been a miss. Truth be told, my main issue with this place is the service. I have yet to walk into this place and feel like a wanted customer. I came in on a Monday morning at around 11am. I was one of 3 customers. It took almost 20 minutes for my latte! The customers before and after me were all out within 10 minutes. The one in front of me ordered two drinks and the one behind me had no drinks, just some food out of the display. The entire time, I felt as if I was I inconveniencing all of the women who worked at the counter- the one who took my order and the one who eventually made my drink. This is a common theme. Every time I come here, every single one of the women I interact with, with the exception of one who I am fairly certain is new, makes you feel like you just asked them to donate their kidney do their job. And I have had the same girls on each occasion, so I know it's not just a bad day. In my latest encounter, part of the hold up was the manager/owner decided she needed to ask the barista about the extra $10 in the cash register. Every time the barista responded to her question, she would stop from making my coffee. I could see my latte being so close to being finished but between each step, she would stop and turn to talk about what she did with the extra $10. She put it in the drawer with a note. Even I know this now. When I finally got my drink, she didn't even apologize for the wait. She put it in front of me as if I was rushing her. Thank God she doesn't work at Starbucks. With that said, I should have gone to Starbucks because the coffee is better there (and cheaper) the service is faster and the baristas are happy to serve. Sadly, today was my last straw. I won't come back to Little Flower. I don't care that it's literally a 2 minute walk from my house. I will take my money to a place that cares about its customers and serves good food and coffee.

Yelp
I really tried to like this place. Think I've given it abt 10 tries since I go to Cornerstone Chiropractor. Sandwich bread is always cold and stale. I got the runs 3 diff times after eating their bowls. Got charged an arm and a leg for a tiny slice of quiche. Lattes are always watery, I leave this place feeling frustrated and confused and deeply regretting spending so much

Yelp
As other reviews mentioned, the service here is poor. I arrived about 5 minutes before they opened and a lady was outside setting up the chairs. She informed me they weren't opened yet, which was fine. I took a seat outside and waited. She went in and and then came out to arrange a few things on the tables. When the store opened, she didn't bother to say anything to me or open the door to indicate they were opened. I ordered a latte and a pastry at the counter - no smile or friendly words at the counter. The overall vibe was "order what you need and get the hell out". Inconsistent with the cutesy and somewhat whimsical decor of the store. There is no indoor seating. If you want to dine there, your only option is one of the few tables on the sidewalk. It's a very busy street, so expect constant noise and cars passing by. And the flies! I don't know why, but there was swarms of horseflies all over the tables. As I was chatting with my friend, we kept having to swat the flies off each others' hair and drinks. Overall, an unpleasant experience.

Yelp
Dropped by today with my kid to meet up a gf who lives in the area. Good amount of parking in the back. It was kinda busy, when we had ordered the one thing that stuck out was the customer service. Was really terrible, the girl was sooo rude. After ordering some kitchen items she had asked if I would like anything else. I said yes and she did the biggest exhale grunt. Like bro its just some cookies? Even my kid noticed she was rude af. It sucks with covid restaurants have to hire such trash people these days just for the extra help. The food honestly lacks flavor. Spent over $40 and with the trashy customer service would never come back even if I'm in the area. I get it it's nice to have a cute cafe in your neighborhood but I hope no one takes that terrible service with mediocre taste. Also the girl didn't even give me a receipt. She clicked so fast when it came to the tip option. Now I have to check my statements to see if she just tipped herself haha. Order: Breakfast sandwich- no flavor Grilled cheese- this had good flavor for being just a grilled cheese. Egg sandwich- the bread doesn't pare with egg salad. Overall lacking any flavor. Ginger molasses cookie- good flavor if you like ginger. Had a kick to it. 2 chocolate cookies sea salt caramel- weren't bad 2 iced lavender lattes- okay Overall that bad attitude also when my order was ready she told me my name would be called and my name was never called. I had to check in and when I noticed two coffees sitting I asked another girl if those were mine. The other server was cool. Packaged everything up and no issue no bad attitude. Hopefully the owner can let the employees know. That whatever is going on in their personal life. They shouldn't try to bring it to work and take it out on customers. Maybe take some time off, not have the domino effect at work.

Yelp
Heard about this little bakery in Pasadena and had to make a quick stop over. Not much parking available on the street, but should be able to find something around the corner. Overall not too busy on a Saturday early afternoon, with only a moderate line inside. Aside from the baked goods behind the glass, there's plenty of confectionaries around the shop as well. Decided on the Pecan Bar as well as a package of Milk Chocolate Honeycomb, and a coffee (total $19). The bar is very rich - buttery crust and super candied nuts on top. Probably best to have alongside a bitter coffee. The chocolate honeycomb is hefty combination of honey cracker covered in a thin layering of milk chocolate. Intense flavor, so can only have one. There are some tables outside, but not many, so best to take your treats to go.

Yelp
you don't know Pasadena if you don't know Little Flower FOOD -- OKAY LISTENNNNN...try not to drool. I had a poached egg on a bed of arugula, fennel, sausage, white beans, and lightly drizzled with a lemon vinaigrette. My boyfriend had a veggie quiche. SPACE -- Outdoor seating can be hard to find during the busy hours but the street is not a main street so it's typically calm. Indoor is a cute little cafe, bakery, and gift store. They update it seasonally so I love just browsing around while I'm waiting for my food. SERVICE -- Good! Everything is made fresh so the workers are pretty busy but I'm not complaining, their efficient + kind.

Yelp
I keep trying to give this place another chance because my friends love it. I've been probably a total of 5 times and every time I have a similar experience. The inside is small and doubles as a little grocery gift shop which does have cute stuff but it gets very chaotic and congested with people trying to line up to order. Their menus are up front and every time I'm there I experience people awkwardly trying to grab a menu and then stand out of the way as they try to figure out what to order - but the space is so small it's just clear people feel uncomfortable. The staff is nice enough, very concise and to the point. They've never been rude but never have been overly kind or helpful as expected by the general brand / vibe this place seems to be going for. The bakery items are amazing (!!!) but the other food options (sandwiches, salads, etc) have always been a huge let down for me. Sandwiches have been on stale bread and everything just seems flavorless and slapped together. Honestly it really reminds me of the quality of food you would get at a quick cafe in the airport. I've tried 5 different dishes and every time I have been let down (I'm also not a picky eater at all!) The majority of seating is outside on the sidewalk which is a cute vibe except this cafe is on a busy street that is next to the highway so it is always very loud with car sounds. I find that my friends are always leaning in and raising our voices to try to hear each other. I really wanted to love this spot - I live in the neighborhood and it really seems like a quaint and cute neighborhood cafe but I just can't figure it out. I'll keep going back for the baked goods but I won't give their lunch items another chance and probably won't find myself agreeing to meet a friend there for a catch up.

Yelp
GREAT PLACE TO GO TO GRAB A SCONE AND A LATTE ============================================ I really love scones and during the pandemic I've even made them myself with my Nordic Ware scone pan, but I've realized that I better stop baking myself or I am going to gain a lot of weight. Little Flower to the rescue because I can just buy one scone at a time so I don't have that temptation. I really like their daily scone selections and their lattes are great. This morning I chose a blackberry and lavender scone and a latte with oat milk. They were both delicious. I also like their veggie wrap. That has spinach, onion sprouts, carrot, tomato, cucumber, brown rice, garlic edamame spread, whole wheat tortilla and a carrot ginger dressing. It is really easy to order and pay online or they have a ordering window and separate pick-up window. Little Flower is not close to where I live, but it is worth the drive.

Yelp
I've been going to Little Flower since it opened, and frankly, it has changed. We went around 1pm on a Sunday. When we tried to order at the front, the waitress helping us was quite short and rushed- it felt like we were inconveniencing her by simply trying to order food. Every time we tried to add another thing it felt like she just wanted to end the interaction- isn't your job to take food orders? Rushing customers for no reason is just unnecessary stress. Totally understand if you're busy, but it was not busy and it changed the experience immediately. I'm not trying to complain about the specific waitress, but the front of house staff seemed far too busy for their own customers. I've read past reviews- it seems to be a reoccurring thing. Also- totally understand inflation and everything, but the prices for the candy and some goods are ridiculous. $7 for a SMALL lemonade, and an overpriced "bowl of soup" to-go is served in a small coffee cup.

Yelp
This place is so cute, everything about it, from the ambiance to the food even the staff is super nice and down to earth. There's a parking lot in the back too cause street parking can be iffy. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
I love this little coffee shop! I originally came here to meet up with a friend who works not too far away. The location is a bit strange as it's off a street that runs along the 134 freeway and doesn't have a lot of other shops around it, so the fact that it was relatively busy when I stopped by on a weekday speaks to how great this little shop is. The first time I went I ordered a vanilla latte and a almond croissant. Can I just saw that there almond croissant is my favorite! It was has a crunchy sugary exterior and a buttery inside filled with marzipan. Definitely a delectable treat. The coffee was also very good. My friend also got a sesame mochi bar which was tasty. It reminded me of a coconut mochi bar my relatives from Hawaii make for the holidays - so very nostalgic. The other day I was getting a massage at a place about a block away and decided to swing by. In addition ordering the same items as I did the first time, I also tried the rare roast beef sandwich and the French ham and butter. Both were very good.. the bread being the star of both both sandwiches, but you could also tell that the other ingredients used were quality. I'm so happy to have found this little gem and look forward to stopping by again soon and trying a few other things of their menu.

Yelp
On a Sunday morning in late February, my sister and I are on the hunt for chocolate croissant and decided to check out this bakery. There was a few people waiting in line already at 8:20am. The pastries are displayed in the window from cinnamon rolls, croissants, cookies, coffee cake. We ordered at one door and the staff person was nice and friendly. As I was telling my order, I could see a glimpse of inside and it looks really quaint and cutesy. Then we waited at other door for our pastries and it is wrapped in pretty tissue paper. I took a bite and it was buttery and flaky but it was kinda dry. It was nice supporting a local bakery. 4 stars for customer service and sell variety of pastries 3stars for dry croissant

Yelp
I'm not sure how this place has escaped me all these years, it's probably the name Little Flower and not associating this with food! It's also located on a part of Colorado Blvd that's part Residential part Business; I've driven past this place a million times yet found it on Yelp! Daily Specials, Bakery including Whole Cakes, Breakfast items, Hot & Cold Sandwiches, Rice Bowls, Salads this is really a hidden gem! And also, pricey. Chocolate Croissant https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/little-flower-pasadena?select=m8NNFEg4ieaonw4lNcgSnw Flakey Croissant I suggest warming it up slightly so chocolate melts https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/little-flower-pasadena?select=zs2riwLfAOPRW8oEzb0xEg I thought it could have had a bit more chocolate but excellent croissant. Ham & Cheese Croissant https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/little-flower-pasadena?select=7wGUfN0lhfQbZ2MuRAFvnQ Same croissant as above but savory instead of sweet https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/little-flower-pasadena?select=7F1tJ1xQH7rtrhzaCuFTPw I also would have liked a bit more cheese, it's delicious!

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop, bakery, and cafe! We had the curry chicken sandwich, which was delicious -- nice chunks of chicken and a flavorful sauce. We've also previously had some of their baked goods, which were delicious, as well as a custom-made cake. They also have a number of cute items for purchase -- kids toys, sauces, candies, etc. This is a lovely place!

Yelp
Very cute cafe right off the 134 freeway. It has a store inside full of pantry items, games & other accessories. Food was amazing (shoutout to the iced lavender latte & their cream cheese!!). I got my favorite la colombe coffee beans & a passionfruit panna cotta (one of my favorite desserts ever) to go! Service could have been better, but the food was worth it. Will try their breakfast next time...

Yelp
We have been fans of Little Flower for years and couldn't imagine anyone else doing the desserts and cake for our wedding. We had a dessert bar for our guests and a smaller, two-tier personal cake just for us as the bride and groom. We met with Stephanie at the Little Flower location and got to sample the cookies and other desserts that we wanted. She provided great ideas of a variety of types of desserts (gluten free, chocolate, fruit, etc.) for the dessert bar. We worked directly with May to create a custom two-tier cake with whatever flavor combinations we wanted and she utilized our colors and design to create a beautifully elegant cake. Not only did it look amazing, but tasted fresh and delicious as well as all of our desserts. Their prices were very reasonable for a 100-person wedding and I definitely would recommend using them for any type of event.

Yelp
Clean and simple. The best starts with quality ingredients and this is the foundation to Little Flower. All the dishes are straight forward, no complexity, just real food. If you are looking for a unique taste, this place is not for you. Imagine how Grandma put care into every dish. Now come get it. Comfort. Breakfast and Lunch! Lots of choices and Deli Options! Try them all. Quaint curiosities in every corner of the shop. Service is awesome. Bring the kids. Outdoor seating only. Plenty of parking on the street and around back. "A hidden gem has grown just across the bridge from Old Town." Come check them out. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Super cute little spot. Ordered lunch for my husband and I. We waited over 30 mins for our two sandwiches, sat outside. We watched people come in after us order their food and off they went. Once we got our two sandwiches "chicken pesto" and the "green turkey" we ate half of each. The sandwiches are huge enough to share. But my husband's sandwich the chicken pesto should have been returned, but we were so hungry and waited forever. The chicken was mixed lots of dark meat and had tons of carcass in it. He's not one to ever complain and he definitely complained and threw the other half away once we come home.

Yelp
I didn't eat here, just came to get their specialty olive oil cake. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! Great texture and flavor. A wonderful change of pace from our usual birthday cakes.

Yelp
Great food and such an inviting place to sit and enjoy! Have lived in the area for years and just discovered a few years ago.

Yelp
It's a tight space, but the ambience is lovely. This is all that is left of Lincoln (which we will forever miss). The service is great! The food is some of the best food in LA! 10 out of 10 six out of five stars. Little flower is the best!
