Little Fox Cups & Cones Gourmet Ice Cream Shop Opens in Oceanside | Eater San Diego

"Opening its first dedicated storefront this Sunday, October 15, at the Freeman Collective in South Oceanside, Little Fox Cups & Cones is a San Diego–based ice cream company that took off during the pandemic. I note that founder Meghan Koll, who has more than 15 years in hospitality and worked as a bartender at Carlsbad’s Jeune et Jolie, turned leftover cold brew cream from a 2019 cocktail into the first batch of ice cream and grew the business by selling through Viewpoint Brewing Co., operating a mobile ice cream tricycle at more than 150 events and weddings, and running a pop-up window at Leucadia boutique thread spun. The creamery makes super-premium, 16 percent butterfat ice cream entirely from scratch and will offer close to 20 rotating flavors in scoops, ice cream flights, and pints-to-go; signature flavors include Fig’get About It (vin santo fig compote, vanilla cream, and cheesecake pieces), Roasty Toasty (toasted brioche cream, mascarpone swirl, and crispy parmesan), and Club Med (citrus and olive oil with sea salt and Cyclops Farms tomato marmalade). Little Fox is also known for its adorable, gourmet ice cream tacos—complex, nostalgic takes on the Choco Taco—and the Symbiotex Design Lab–designed kitchen in South Oceanside is large enough to support additional scoop shops while also producing ice cream cakes for birthdays and special occasions." - Candice Woo

Google
First of all the name is adorable. “Little Fox” already gives you cozy, cute, welcoming vibes, and the moment you arrive, it’s exactly that and more. The location is precious, the outside entrance is warm and inviting, and I loved the bench and umbrella setup perfect for sitting and savoring your ice cream. If you’re someone who appreciates attention to detail, you will absolutely fall in love with this place. From the golden spoons they offer for samples (yes, they actually let you try flavors and happily!) to the beautiful waffle cones made right in front of you, everything here feels intentional and thoughtfully done. Alex was an absolute sweetheart friendly, patient, and kind while letting me sample flavors. That alone says a lot, because there’s nothing more awkward than being rushed or judged when you just want to find the right flavor. The menu is creative and unique, with fun names and flavors that truly stand out from other ice cream spots. They even have cakes, pastries, and pre-packed pints in a refrigerator if you want to take some home. You can also pre-order custom cakes with a 72-hour notice. Every detail, down to the texture of their napkins (yes, I notice these things!), feels intentional. They also offer free stickers (so cute!), have an adorable retail section, and even give a military discount which I think is incredibly thoughtful. Now, let’s talk about my favorite part: the Golden Hour flavor a turmeric-based ice cream that is out of this world. The color, the flavor, the balance it’s creamy, comforting, and absolutely delicious. If you love turmeric, you need to try it. I’m literally eating it while writing this review because it’s that good. Overall, Little Fox is a gem. It’s warm, inviting, aesthetically pleasing, and full of heart. The quality of their ice cream, the friendliness of the staff, and the intentional design make it stand out far above the rest honestly, even more than Salt & Straw or Handel’s, in my opinion. They’re also opening a new location in Cardiff soon which just means more people will get to experience the magic of Little Fox. Highly, highly recommend. Go treat yourself — you’ll leave smiling. 🦊🍦✨

Google
I positively love this shop. All the flavors are unexpected—sometimes quirky—but always delicious and local. There is always something new. And I especially love that gluten-free/dairy-free options are plentiful (and still delicious!) at Little Fox, which is perfect for my food allergy family. Muy bueno!

Google
Second time here and its literally one of my favorite ice cream places. You can try all the flavors if that's what you want, however you will not get the wrong one, they are delicious. So far my top 3 flavor are Let Them Eat Cake, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and last but not least.... this might be leaving the menue soon..... Roasty Toasty! Staff is amazing, its unfortunate to have such a small break time area. I saw a staff member sitting on a tiny stool.

Google
I stopped by Little Fox in Oceanside and was so happy to see they offer delicious vegan ice cream flavors! 🍦🦊 As a vegan, it can be hard to find a good spot with options, but every flavor I tried was creamy, rich, and full of taste—you’d never know it was dairy-free. The shop itself has a cute, welcoming vibe, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-visit in Oceanside for anyone craving vegan treats! 🌱✨

Google
I took my granddaughters here to try it out. The shop is pretty cute. Sasha assisted us today, and she was very friendly and accommodating. They have a wide variety of unique flavors, each more adventurous than the last. I ordered the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with toasted corn cream, honeycomb, and caramel with caramel popcorn on the top. The hint of the corn cream was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed my ice cream. Next time I return here, I want to try the taco ice cream and can't wait.

This was my favorite birthday cake! The owner was so sweet and made it beautiful! I have never had ice cream or cake from here before, but it was DELICIOUS! It was a big hit. Thank you so much for making such a special cake ☺️

Google
Delicious!!! Some of the best ice cream in Oceanside! We tried the pumpkin and the caramel flavors and they did not disappoint.

Google
Interesting and unique twist on ice cream with savory, sweet and just right flavors that keep you coming back wanting to try more. The one in the photo is a passion fruit cheesecake. And it was so thirst, quenching and delicious.

Yelp
This place truly deserves a Michelin Star for ice cream, I've never had a better experience - and definitely get the sampler tray or at least four or least you'll need 700 samples and be sad. Also get a taco and a sampler and you'll life will be ok. I've been dozens of times so you can fight me if you think otherwise, but warning I'm a white belt.

Yelp
This place is an absolute treasure. Oceanside is so lucky to have it. Their flavors are so inventive and interesting, and they will let you taste to decide. I have been here many times on various days and the staff has without exception been friendly and helpful. There are surprising little touches of care and quality, like real spoons for tasting, real glasses for water. Small things but it really elevates the place. The ice cream itself is a top notch treat. Handel who? Salt and what? Little Fox for me all day, bb. This shop has become a Must Do for all of my out of town guests. The only suggestion I would have is a bit of seating somewhere if at all possible. There are 3 benches outside on the sidewalk, but those fill up instantly on weekends. But the ice cream here is worth standing on the curb to eat even so.

Yelp
4 1/2 stars Service was great. Best to try to time it when there isn't a crowd. That's because you will want to be able to sample a number of their flavors. And when there is a crowd you will feel pressured to choose quickly. Which is difficult because when you are paying that much for a small scoop you want to choose wisely. The woman helping us happily let us sample all we wanted. And something I really liked? The samples are given on very nice metal spoons. That alone is almost worth the visit. We got a flight of four flavors after sampling about six of their amazing assortment. Two were great. But we made the mistake of including two that sounded like winners but we had not sampled. Turned out we didn't care for them. Totally on us. Try before you buy. They weren't bad. Not at all! Just not for us. Sweet place, nice service, definitely recommended.

Yelp
There's almost always a wait outside of this place but it's for good reason! The flavors are very unique and I am always able to find something I love. I usually love to get the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood flavor but I branched out and tried the new Mexican Chocolate flavor and it didn't disappoint! The chocolate flavor was rich and creamy and had a good level of sweetness (not too sweet). The churros were nice flavor wise but I didn't love the texture. It didn't ruin the ice cream though. I do wish this place had seating but the location doesn't quite allow for that (not their fault)!

Yelp
I've ended up here several times after dinner in the area. Ice cream always sounds like good after dinner treat, but I'm honestly disappointed every time. The flavors are kind of good on the sample spoon, but after a few bites, the ice cream always ends up underwhelming and icy. I get it, it's ice cream, but I guess I prefer more creamy over icy. Note that they don't have any tables, just three sticky benches outside.

Yelp
I just love this shop so so much! I first discovered them a few months after moving to San Diego when they were in a different location, pulled in by their ice cream tacos! Way better than any packaged chocotaco I ever tasted and I immediately became a fan of whatever they created. Throughout the last few years, I've watched and enjoyed as they've experimented with new locations and flavors. Now they're in Oceanside and it's just the perfect spot for them! They make all of their ice cream in house. They are able to have more flavors now, and I recently came for their plant-based flavors with a friend when we needed something that would accommodate her diet. I also love that the price is a little less than some of the big name ice cream shops in the area (cough, cough Jeni's). Really, no complaints. Staff is always lovely. Sometimes there's a little wait, but it's always worth it. Love their Oceanside location. Can't wait for my next visit!

Yelp
This little ice cream shop has such great attention to details. The moment you walk in you're welcomed with a nice fragrant aroma. Inside there is great quality. Everything by from the product of the ice cream itself to their orange high quality napkins to even their golden sample spoons. The ice cream itself is creamy and has a velvety smooth texture but the little toppings that get folded into the ice cream give that nice texture. Their flavors are unique enough to entice you to make a stop at this shop in Oceanside. They even go wild and think out of the box with flavors that present themselves as savory but for some odd reason they're able to create into an ice cream flavor. Example? Poco Pomodoro- organic basil cream, graza olive oil, golden tomato marmalade I appreciate when an ice cream shop tries to push the envelope and get creative with flavors. And even the cute little toppers the put on their ice cream is a nice touch from the little lavender sprig to the mint leaf depending on what flavors you get. We live in OC. Every time I drive down to SD I try to stop by here to get a little treat of little fox.

Yelp
Don't let the line out of the door detour you from this little gem. It goes fast and the ice cream is worth it. Friendly service and great options of plant based ice cream. I love the look of this shop especially the plants and fresh flowers.

Yelp
Adorable shop with insanely good ice cream (vegan options too!) I first discovered Little Fox Ice Cream at the Del Mar Fest last year, and their flavors blew me away -- so much that I had to visit their actual store. And I'm so glad I did! The ice cream is just as amazing as I remembered -- rich, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. I was especially happy to see they offer vegan options, which is such a plus. The staff were super cheerful and welcoming, and the interior is absolutely adorable. It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. Whether you're vegan, dairy-loving, or just an ice cream fan in general, Little Fox is a must-visit.

Yelp
lots of unique flavors to choose from. I tried the London fog & mint - both were good. Service was friendly, flavor was good. I also appreciate Little Fox because their small is actually a small. It's the perfect amount. Outside seating only, private lot parking & street parking-gets busy though.

Yelp
Tiny Lil' Scoop ($6.25) - This was very high quality, artisanal ice cream! All the flavors I sampled were so creamy. The Things + Stuff flavor came with salted pretzel cream, a peanut butter swirl, chocolate bits, and pretzel pieces. All the components came together so well and I'd definitely get this again. I sampled the S'more the Merrier flavor and it was magical. Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
So happy to have walked by and gone in! It was an extremely hot day when my friend and I were walking about and I was extra happy to have walked in and found a cool treat. Once I was told about their vegan/gf options, I immediately was set on ordering. I was able to try a few other vegan/gf options like the let them eat cake and death before coffee. Honesty, I was impressed with them all, but I absolutely loved the death before coffee as it had a great subtle cold brew flavor and cookie crumbles with a soft, not too grainy, texture. Couldn't have wanted anything more as it was perfect. It's difficult to get the consistency of ice cream when made vegan but they clearly excelled. The server was so kind and welcoming too and offered my friend and I tastings and options throughout our time here. We went through the line incredibly fast too. I loved the relaxing ambiance of the store as well, definitely inviting. Some great seating options outside as well. They do have limited parking on the side but there are a few spots!
google avatar

Noah K.

Yelp
There's so many great ice cream flavors to choose from here. They have fun unique flavors to try and they rotate them consistently so there is almost always a new flavor to try. The staff are really friendly and patient, they let you try as many samples as you'd like. The store is small but very well decorated and there's a few benches outside where you can enjoy your ice cream.
google avatar

Abigail P.

Yelp
$8 for a tiny lil scoop in a waffle cone. I will say really cool different flavors, and the waffle cone is delicious! A little sweeter than your average waffle cone. Kind employees, and the sample spoons are metal gold, so it's definitely on the boujee side. I'm giving 4 stars because it is expensive
google avatar

Yelp
Every person better know I'm an og little fox fan even before they opened their first store front. But how is it that I'm constantly amazed every time!!! Here's what always makes little fox my fav ice cream shop in all of SD 1) the flavors. Not a single basic flavor can be found here. Every option was created with care, love, and intent. There are more classic-ish flavors with new ones (like the carrot one) that you couldn't even think of as an ice cream that just blows you away. Even their waffle cones are delicious!!! How!!?? 2) the details. You can see the details in the small toppings curated for each flavor as well as every aspect of this store. The interior design, the REAL sample spoons, the seating outside. 3) the care. I've come by before when the owner was there, and this time I was greeted by one of the employees. Both times they were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about little fox. It makes you want to love this store even more!! This is a small business that I will always love and adore and congrats to their team for recently getting recognition in the sd mag!!

Yelp
Trying too hard to be cute. The flavors are all inventive, but after trying 5-6 (we had a large party so I was able to sample several), I only really liked one flavor - passion fruit/lime/cheesecake. The mint chip is odd. Curry up sounded intriguing but really just tasted like a curry dish. Coffee ice cream is fine on its own - it's not better with oat cookie crumble mixed in. Servers were so nice but the line goes SLOWLY because they carefully place beautiful toppings on each scoop.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here after being stuffed from the burgers next door. The inside is nice and cozy, and the service is friendly. We tried many different of their flavors. Their portions are smaller than a lot of the big chains around, but it was perfect for our sweet treat.
google avatar

Steph G.

Yelp
Our second time here. Delicious small batch craft ice cream with incredible flavor combinations. Service was friendly and helpful. Even let us try a few samples. Seats outside but not inside. Small retail section. I had the choco mint and once upon a time in Hollywood. Great packaging etc. def return. Small parking lot but other wise street parking. Cool interior.

Yelp
I'm extremely ecstatic to have discovered this place on accident. But actually get to experience it for the second time!. The first was when they were in Leucadia and the business was operating through a very small to~go order window. Then we had their delicious & signature ice cream waffle taco. So innovative. They've definitely elevated the experience with this cozy hole in the wall/corner establishment. I'm happy they are here now! The atmosphere is kept super clean and very orderly. The attention to details is immaculate! I mean right down to the labels! You can actually read and see what's in the ice creams. Super fun names too. The Menu is on point! The delicious & healthier ingredients might even take away some of the dessert guilts ~~ that may or may not arise when getting a sweet treat for yourself! I sampled a few ice creams with their golden spoons (we even bought some because our daughter is obsessed with tiny spoons) I decided on May Flowers. Especially fun because it was a rainy evening and..."showers bring May Flowers" The flavor was bright and crisp while being super smooth and creamy! The ladies helping us literally 5 minutes before their closing were so patient and sweet with us. And didn't skimp on the beautiful presentation of our scoops. I believe that might be the first I ever ate a hibiscus flower! I'm going to be raving about this place for a while. Cannot wait till our next visit. I might even consider their cake option soon!

Yelp
My best friend had recommended that we try Little Fox while we were in South Oceanside. We came to celebrate my husbands birthday and for our sweet little treat we thought the best thing would be ice cream. This ice creamery is so cute, the inside is so welcoming and bright and beautiful. There are little knickknacks you can purchase like teas and cards, seriously so cute. There are a lot of really unique flavors and it was really difficult to hold back and not try them all. To sample, I ending up trying Roasty Toasty, London Fog and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Roasty Toasty had bites of crispy parmesean, when speaking with the team member I had mentioned that we had something similar in the Philippines corn ice cream with bits of cheddar cheese so it definitely reminded me of home. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was corn ice cream with honeycomb, if you combined the two that would be my favorite flavor so that's what I did. I got two scoops with a cone on the side. Bryan ended up getting RBF, which I didn't get a chance to taste shame on me, but he loved it. We also got a little pup cup for our Pom in the Roasty Tasty which he devoured. There's no seating inside but there are seats outside which is the smartest marketing wise, watching people eat ice cream makes you want to eat ice cream. Next time we're in the neighborhood we'll definitely be coming back! Thank you again for your kindness and delicious treats.

Yelp
This is a very cute little ice cream shop tucked just off of PCH. The names of the different ice creams are funny and creative. The interior decor is charming but the place is tiny and there is no seating. There are a few benches directly outside. I loved the ice cream taco made with Things and Stuff (chocolate/peanut butter/pretzel). I could have easily eaten three of these. The flavors and contrasting textures are great. Death Before Decaf (coffee flavor) was pretty good but not as flavorful as I had hoped. However, Let Them Eat Cake (cake batter) was excellent and made with actual pieces of cake. Yes, they offer free stickers at the front counter. Smart marketing. There's pizza next door, burgers and tacos across the parking lot, and BBQ across the street. Definitely give these guys a try after your lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
I love ice cream and when my friend recommended Little Fox to me I had to visit immediately. I was blown away by the combination of flavors and love the cute names. I've had the lavender haze, principle trunchbowl, and things & stuff. I appreciated the extra touch of having a garnish on my ice cream. I'll definitely be back to try other flavors. They have pints and ice cream cakes as well! There is a small parking lot and benches in front.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday at around 3 pm and there was nobody in line. I sampled many flavors, and they were generous with the sample size, which I appreciated so that I could really taste the flavors. I tried the curry flavor, which was interesting but I wouldn't get a scoop of it. Unfortunately most of the flavors were underwhelming (I prefer strong flavors), but I did like the S'More the Merrier and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I ended up getting a single scoop of the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ($7.50). I liked the caramel popcorn taste (I'm obsessed with caramel) and the caramel popcorn that topped the ice cream was a cute touch! It is a bit pricey, but I could tell that it was high quality ice cream. My main complaint is that most of the flavors were bland. I also parked on a nearby street since I wasn't sure about the parking situation. But it wasn't too difficult to find parking. The shop itself was also cutely decorated. They have cookbooks, cards, and other souvenirs, as well as a sink for drinking water. I could come back if I were in the area. I hope they have other rotating flavors! I also would like to try their ice cream tacos.
google avatar

Franco M.

Yelp
TL;DR Once Upon a Time In Hollywood flavor was good! Tried a few flavors and ended up going with a staff member's recommendation, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. This flavor has toasted corn cream, caramel, and honeycomb. I tend to lean towards the outrageously sweet choices. Their homemade cones are delicious as well. Friendly staff, clean location, would recommend! Parking is very limited. Will most likely have to find street parking. Prices are on the higher side, but worth it for the quality.
google avatar

Kelsey S.

Yelp
I've been into their new location a couple of times to sample and get pints! They have a lot of options for dairy free, gluten free friends. Their new location is in Oceanside as part of the freeman collective. I didn't realize I had been here before when it was in Leucadia! Kudos to them for growing their business with a store front. Last weekend, I had some friends in town and I picked up a pint of their banana pancakes. It was a tasty ice cream that had a bananas foster flavored base with some chocolate chunks and other tasty morsels. The only bummer is there was not an open one to try so I just sort of blindly bought the pint hoping it would be good. It was tasty! Their chocolate tacos are so cute and definitely remind me of childhood. I look forward to bringing my daughter in for ice cream for special occasions!
google avatar

Jocelyn P.

Yelp
Adorable little shop Unique flavors that you can tell were crafted with love Excellent staff with impeccable customer service skills I tried plenty of samples but went with the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Tasted like the ice cream version of Honey Nut Cheerios when you drink the milk after eating all the cereal Delicious treat
google avatar

Shirley S.

Yelp
Wanted something sweet after hitting Tanners Prime Burgers Shop was small so easily crowded around the different flavors - all very unique. Would like to have sample it they weren't so busy. Landed on the Things Taco with chocolate shell. It was good I tried my friend's rum flavored ice cream and that was pretty good and you can really taste the rum. He loved it. Worth coming back and trying more flavors in a cup.
google avatar

Kris F.

Yelp
I came by to try the non-dairy options and was so pleasantly surprised by how many there were! The server was super nice about letting me sample all four flavors first (haha). It was honestly hard to choose since I liked them all, but I went with the Forget Me Not flavor -- pumpkin-based and served in a vegan waffle cone. I'm usually not a big fan of coconut-based ice creams, but Little Fox really knows how to make them delicious! I'll definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Jaky Y.

Yelp
Little Fox was empty when we walked in on a Sunday afternoon. The inside of the shop is really small. There aren't any tables or chairs for seating, but there are 2 small benches outside. Not a great place to bring a large group or to hang out for a while. Little Fox has some really creative flavors but unfortunately, we didn't like any of the 5+ that we tried. We ultimately ended up getting a little cup because we felt bad walking out without buying something. Little Fox is also really expensive. Their scoops are tiny, but they decorate every flavor uniquely, which is nice.
google avatar

Angela Y.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday evening and was warmly greeted by Julia, one of the managers. She was happy to let us sample many different flavors and gave us suggestions since it was our first time. It was also lovely to hear the backstory of some the flavors (each one has its own story!) I ended up choosing Maine Course and it was delicious! Highly recommend visiting Little Fox

Yelp
We send to try this adorable ice cream shop after dinner at Tanners and omg, I'm so glad we did. The flavors of the ice cream are so unique, so decadent, it just left me in awe of how they made so many flavors taste like magic in your mouth. We ended up getting the death before decafe, cold brew coffee, oat cookie crumble and I had the golden hour with passion fruit cream, spice tumeric, lime leaves and New York cheesecake I loved the little accents on top of the ice cream just really makes the whole experience for you and the kids. Can't wait to come back again and enjoy more! Service was top notch, he let us try as many samples and has such a welcoming atmosphere
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in here. The ice cream was really good! It reminded me a lot of this little ice cream place I use to go to when I lived in Alhambra in LA. And I've been searching for an ice cream place like that! I tried the two lil' scoops double the fun $7.75 Banana pancake & lavender haze My daughter got the tiny lil' scoop just a bit $5.50 s'more the merrier Everything tastes good. Wasn't overly sweet. All the natural flavors came through. I would definitely come back to this ice cream place. And recommend it too!
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
The best ice cream ever! They offer so many unique flavors, and even have ice cream tacos. The texture is spot on: creamy without being overly milky or icy. Truly perfect. My husband, who is very particular about his ice cream, absolutely loved it. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The shop itself is cute, though seating is a bit limited. However, it's located in a walkable area, so that's not a major drawback.
google avatar

Yelp
I highly recommend this ice cream shop! The place is so cute! Endless samples and free stickers!!! The service was really nice!

Yelp
Who knew Ice cream couldn't be great? Visited Little Fox for a quick scoop of ice cream. I walked in and there was a line out the door. I quickly realized the line forms so long because customers can taste as many flavors as they'd like until they find the perfect flavor. Myself included I tasted over 5 flavors and didn't like any of them! Omg I hate saying this out loud. But they were not good. I settled with Once upon a time in Hollywood. It was very sweet! VERY sweet. I ordered the tiniest portion and could only finish half. All in all, I wouldnt recommended them based on their ice cream flavors alone. There are numerous ice cream places around town and one thing we get to be picky about is ice cream. Yes, sir! Other flavors I tried: Fig deal- almost threw up! Club med- did someone say salad !?! English tea - very tea forward not in a good way! Lavender Haze- tart! Nothing butter than vanilla - what vanilla!?! +1 Star to the friendly, patient and kind staff :)

Yelp
This is a little ice cream boutique in Oceanside that caught me by surprise. After having dinner at Dija Mara, my boyfriend & I were looking for a dessert spot to finish off our evening. I was looking up places and came across Little Fox. My all-time favorite ice cream is Stella Jeans, and this spot is pretty up there for my favorite ice cream in San Diego county. The flavors here are extremely unique -- do not come here for a basic chocolate or vanilla flavor. Try something new to shake up that tongue palette of yours, such as the banana pancake, may flowers, or the so-socal. I got a mini cup of the banana pancake, and my boyfriend the pulp fiction. Aside from ice cream scoops, they make ice cream tacos, cakes, and petit four flavors of the ice cream themselves. With that said, it is pretty expensive for a serving of ice cream -- maybe a pint is more worth it. Service was generous here as they let us try a whole array of flavors before committing to one. The line got pretty long when we got our scoops and sat outside, but they seemed to move pretty quickly. I would definitely come back whenever I am in the area!

Yelp
I live local and I've seen this little ice cream shop before but didn't get a chance to stop by until recently. I tried their birthday cake ice cream taco it was really good! I also tried an ice cream with ginger in it, I can't remember the name but I really liked it! Customer service was friendly & they allowed me to try as many flavors as I wanted. Please don't take their cute gold spoons tho lol they also gave be a to go lid and stickers. The shop itself was clean and has outdoor seating. I'd definitely recommend to support this local small business!

Yelp
Here's the scoop: You're missing out if you haven't been to Little Fox! The staff is incredibly friendly, and they offer a unique array of flavors you're sure to love. The owner has done a fantastic job designing her ice cream shop. It's cute, whimsical, and has a mid-century modern allure. I haven't had an ice cream flavor here that I didn't enjoy, but my current favorites are the seasonal Buckle Up ice cream (please bring this back!), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, S'more the Merrier, and the vegan RBF (Root Beer Float). Not to mention, they serve some of the best-tasting waffle cones and taco shells!

Yelp
I loved trying this place! Someone had told us it wasn't great which deterred us before, but when we finished lunch at Tanner's across the street we decided to give it a shot. I liked the design. It was fun to see at the ingredient cases on display behind a glass window peeling into the kitchen. I liked their tasting spoons that they wash and reuse. I liked all their unique flavors. And as a lactose intolerant person, I really liked their vegan options that weren't just fruit sorbets. It was amazing that there were also two vegan ice cream taco flavors available as well. Only cons for me was that the owners didn't put enough staff to work on a March Saturday, so the line was long and the one employee looked a little frazzled, though she was still smiley and patient when she helped us. She mentioned last winter there wasn't much business so the owners didn't schedule extra workers. They give out cute, free stickers with a fox and an ice cream cone. And the store only has one door so the line was going out of it and it was hard for people to exit with their ice cream cups in hand after paying.

Yelp
This place is the cutest! We got the flight of 4 and every flavor was so yummy! The only negative about this place is that every single flavor sounds so good, so it was hard to pick!! The store is super cute! There's not any seating inside, but a few benches outside! Already have plans to come back for an ice cream taco!

Yelp
CUTE STICKERS!! Went here after dinner and the place was pretty busy. The line was at the door when we go there and ended up being in the parking lot when we walked out. I tried the Let Them Eat Cake and Principle Trunch Bowl. Both had plenty pieces of cake in them. The ice cream itself isn't anything out of the ordinary. My favorite part were the free little stickers at checkout. Overall, if you are close by and in the mood for ice cream, give it a try.

Yelp
Each year there are things I look forward to each summer.  The county fair brings unique food items you can't get anywhere else and the sky ride is an awesome spot to view the sunset.  When my kid had summer vacation we took our annual road trip to San Francisco.  We would hit a different dim sum spot every day.  Lastly I looked forward to a root beer inspired ice cream concoction from Little Fox and Cones. This year's treat was a mix of sweet cream, root beer, and crunchy bits vanilla bits.  Loved the flavors and the contrast between the rich creamy ice cream and the crunchy vanilla bits.  Reminded me of root beer floats from summers past only better.  Meghan used higher quality ingredients starting with Swell Root Beer from a local small batch company. I bought 4 pints to tide me over through the end of summer.  I look forward to seeing what awesome creations Meghan dreams up next. I can see you Your brown skin shining in the sun You got your hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby I can tell you, my love for you will still be strong After the boys of summer have gone Don Henley - The Boys of Summer

Yelp
I saw this spot under San Diego Mag's Best of & I 100% agree, one of the best! They have so many unique & delicious flavors, & new ones rotating in. They serve scoops & ice cream tacos, & you can order cakes too. All of their ice creams are sweet & so, so creamy! My go to is their You Outta Horchata.

Yelp
The flavors are unique and tasty. I ordered the chocolate ice cream with brownies. The inside is small but cute and trendy. There are free stickers inside too. Friendly staff. A little expensive but for the quality of the ingredients absolutely worth it!

Yelp
A thousand times YESSSS, I would HIGHLY recommend Little Fox Cups & Cones!! My first encounter with Little Fox was about 3 years ago, when they were literally a cute little hole in the wall in Encinitas. I had worked a weekend shift, but as soon as I got out, I headed down for a Yelp Experience. I believe it was a free ice cream taco that they gave out. It was delicious, and the employee was super sweet! Life got busy, and sadly, I never made it back to their window. =( Today, they have grown into an official brick & mortar in Oceanside. I was so happy to finally make it out on a Tuesday afternoon. The shop is totes adorbies, and I lucked out because the shop owner happened to be in that day. Megan is the sweetest!! We chatted a bit after I told her about my previous experience. I got to sample 3 of their signature flavors, and they were all so damn good!! This really is the place to come to for unique ice cream flavors made fresh in-house! I love that they source the freshest ingredients and even work with other local vendors to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces! The names they come up with are pretty awesome as well. It's such a fun, cute shop to satisfy your ice cream craving! The prices are well worth it here. Don't forget to grab your freebie decals near the register, but please don't be ghetto and steal the cute golden sample spoons!! They have receptacles to put them in, so use them accordingly. Parking might be hit or miss, especially if the small back lot is packed, but I promise this place is worth it!! P.S. they also offer gift cards! =)

Yelp
This icecream is hands down some of my all time favorite. Every flavor is unique and delicious, carefully crafted and exquisitely executed. They also have ice cream tacos and cakes. You can try any flavor; they're all so good. It was difficult to decide but I went for the RBF that has a hint of root beer. The people at the counter are quick to offer tastes, and nice about it. It's a very clean space with a hip vibe. Gotta check this out and try these flavors.

Yelp
Stopped by this elegant ice cream parlor a few hours leading into the evening events of July 4th. The aesthetics of this shop was top tier, with its clean white and gold interior finishes (including golden taste spoons) and its sunset facing windows inviting an abundance of natural light inside. The flavors were unique both in name as well as in flavor. You will truly feel like reconnected with your youth from the moment you walk in until the moment you walk out with ice cream in hand.
