Mr. Creemee Stand

Love the combination of this creemee. I chose butter crunch as topping and it was the best! Hubby opted for the coffee and maple twist creemee. That was really delicious too. These are probably the best soft serve ice cream we’ve had so far in North America (well, next to Martha’s). There was a line when we got there but the staff got it moving pretty efficiently. They were friendly as well. Space is limited but there are picnic tables where you can sit. Prices were a bit high but for the quality of ice cream, I’d say it was worth it.

We came here for creemees and loved them. I got the maple coffee twist and it was a great combination. Lines get long in the evening but they’re pretty efficient.

Amazing prices starting around 4.50 for a small and the small is a ton of ice cream. The maple flavor isn’t that strong but the coffee is a lot and it combines well together I would highly recommend for the price and taste. It is not extra for a cone.

This place hit the spot. Yummmmmmmmm. Not a bad price especially for the kiddie size. I got chocolate and mint and it was delicious.

New flavors, pumpkin and chocolate with scary sprinkles size small. Tasted really good. New hours 3-8 fridays and Saturdays (winter hours 10/13) friendly staff and good music!

Alright, folks, I've been living in Vermont for over five years now, so I know a thing or three. Let me tell you about this ice cream spot that operates out of the back of a laundromat. Yeah, you heard me right. You can enjoy the best damn creamees around while getting a whiff of someone's dirty socks. Only in Vermont, right? Yeah, that's right, creamees. It's soft serve ice cream, Vermont-style, because apparently, we need our own version of everything up here. And let me tell you, it’s worth it. Parking? Forget about it. It's like trying to find a spot at a Bruins game. Depending on the time of day, you might as well just park in Canada and hike down. And don't even think about dining in, because it's takeout only. No umbrellas, no tents. Just you, your creamee, and the raw elements of nature. It's like they want you to suffer a little for your dessert. Now, if you're planning to swing by around 6 PM or later, bring a chair and a good book because that line starts to get longer than the list of my grievances with society. Oh, and a heads up for anyone hoping to grab a bite: as of summer 2024, they no longer serve food. Just creamees. So eat beforehand or starve. That's Vermont for ya.

Tried this place last night in the freezing cold! What a cool place, intended. Had the raspberry chip in a cone and my daughter had a soft serve choc/van twist in a cone. Both great. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed by this literal hole in the wall! We wanted a quick dessert after our dinner on Sunday night and found this gem on Yelp. We are so happy to have tried Little Gordo. I got the vanilla and Thai tea twist and it was super creamy. The price point was a bit higher than a typical small soft serve but did not disappoint. Service was quick.

We looked up best creemees in Vermont and this place consistently topped the list across multiple websites, so we had to give it a try. It's easy to pass by when you're driving because it's a really small place almost built into the side of a building but there's enough parking nearby. I assume a lot of the workers are attending UVM nearby, so college kids, but they were pretty curt and not the most friendly, especially with my younger brother which I didn't love. They have a good list of flavors and offerings that are permanent as well as a rotating list that changes seasonally. I got the horchata creemee, and my brother ordered a cookies and cream 'wizard' which I assume is like their version of a Blizzard from DQ. The ice cream is very high quality and lives up to the expectation set online. It was very good. The prices are okay, a little on the expensive side, especially for the wizard which was $9.50, but the creemee is a better deal and worth checking out.

This place is awesome! They're only open at weird hours ( I think Friday and Saturday afternoons) For some reason it reminds me of the soup episode of Seinfeld Best creemee I've had in a while - they had some other flavors too

highly disappointed! actually took 3 bites of mine and tossed it. Banana choc swirl .. my husband got the strawberry sorbet or sherbet and it tasted like artificial sweeteners. also tossed it. $11 down the drain

When visiting Vermont, always get a creemee. I just googled the word "creemee" and have just now discovered that it is a Vermont-only thing, a fact that deeply delights me. This place had a long line when my friends and I stopped by one spring evening, and for good reason. The creemee I got was a Thai tea/sweet cream mix, and it was absolutely delicious. I love ice cream, and Vermont is blessed with a healthy local dairy industry, so it comes as no surprise that I became a fan of this establishment's creemees. I grew up drinking Thai tea since I was a kid, so I knew I had to try the Thai tea flavor ice cream since it's still a relative novelty here in the US, let alone Vermont state. I highly recommend it. I hope to one day try all their other flavors.

First time trying a creamee. Line was long so I knew it had to be good. Not disappointed. Worth the wait. Loved the outside atmosphere with the lighting.

This was the first creemee we've ever gotten, and all others don't even compare. The stand looks kinda run down, and the area is pretty heavily graffitied, but don't be put off by it, the creemees are worth it! Would creem again!

Small little ice scream place. Outside only, soft serve have unique flavors but sometimes not the basics like chocolate and vanilla. For example today the options were only vanilla and coffee for soft serve. Very good serving sizes with fair prices. Definitely not your classic creemee. Very thick, custard like but delicious. I went late at night when they ran out of most of their flavors so I got a mint and chocolate twist. Mint is my favorite ice cream flavor and you can tell they use real mint leaves, not artificial flavoring. Really cool vibe of the place too.

First time having a creemee, I am used to soft serve. The consistency was great and the flavor was good and the sizes were smaller but perfect. Kind of tucked away but cool vibe. They did have dipped creemees which was exactly what we wanted. When back in VT we would head back over.

Has the creamiest creemes in Burlington I've had at my 4 years here. They always change out flavors to keep it interesting but my favorite is their coffee and maple twist on a cone!

Soo good def recommend the ube and Thai tea soft serve. I would def come back and try the other salvors

Delicious ice cream always filled with families and their pets! Be ready to wait in line because everyone here loves it! They have many outdoor seating and lots of places to park. Perfect for a hot summer evening after dinner! The crew is very kind and friendly. The menu is small because all of their flavors are perfection! Highly recommend this delicious place for dessert!

Quick, delicious, large portions. Cute shop with some limited outside seating. Our first Vermont Creemee experience and it did not disappoint.

I got a kid size sweet cream and it was terrible. It almost had a sour taste to it and the aftertaste was even worse. I gave it 2 bite try and threw it in the trash. Very disappointing

Creamy and rich, their creemees taste indulgent. They have fun rotating flavors like earl grey, hibiscus, or chai. All were yummy and on point with the flavors. I usually get the maple and sometimes in a twist. Their kid size is a perfect amount, about half as tall as normal size. Sad to come on Nov. 1 to see that they were shutting down for the season. Who doesn't eat ice cream year round?

Hits the spot wonderfully in the summertime! My family and I had just completed a pretty strenuous hike, so we wanted a sweet treat afterwards. They had four flavors (that seem to rotate fairly often), and we chose the chocolate malt/coffee twist. The creemee, especially on a cone, was absolutely delicious. It was sweet without being overpowering, and light and airy. Additionally, the staff were extremely helpful and quick to serve our creemees. They were playing fun music and had nice picnic tables out front. I highly recommend Little Gordo Creemee Stand!!

For some reason, the soft serve tasted salty. I had the vanilla after tasting the horchata and Thai tea. If there wasn't that initial salty flavor, this place would be awesome. They also serve burritos, nachos and dogs which is kind of awesome, they are right by church street btw. It has good vibes and I like the theme and ambiance. The ice cream was salty, but I think that can be fixed so I hope that they improve the formula.

We were really looking forward to this place since it got great reviews. But we were disappointed. The 'creemee' was, ironically, not creamy. It wasn't icy, but it lacked a creamy taste; rather, it was watery. The coffee flavor was too intense and sweet to be enjoyable. Plus, every ice cream place should have the staples: vanilla and chocolate. This place had neither. Finally, they only open at 3 pm, which doesn't make sense during the high-traffic summer season.

Stopped by for a quick cone on the way up to the college. The texture was great, the flavor full, and hit the spot. Would love to try the food on my next swing by this little store.

came for the creeme and went back a few times during our stay! They also sell other food that looked good. Walk up window to order. Have seating outside.

Little Gordo is a little inconspicuous ice cream stand just past city market in Donwtown Burlington that is a branch off of Taco Gordo in the North End. Food: 3/5 Nachos- 3/5 Nothing to really write home about though, as one might expect. Little Gordo seems to similarly miss on a few nice accents like its parent Taco Gordo (another topic), particularly their peppers/spice. Food was warm and the cheese/beans tasty. Could have used more sauce to bring out the dish. Brisket actually had a decent flavor, texture and seasoning that was reminiscent of Mexican cuisine (slightly), though it lies on the saltier side. It's not fair to compare this to Mexican cuisine back in say, California or Texas, but for Vermont, this is closing in reasonably. Would choose Taco gordo over this. Vanilla cone- 3/5 I chose Vanilla to standardize it against other creemees around burlington. While it has a good flavor and balance, the creemee leaves you feeling like you licked a small slab of butter at the end. I could not find the natural "cream essence" within it that makes soft serve/creemees so tasty. Additionally, it felt like the vanilla flavoring had drops of vanilla extract as its centerpiece (almost liqueur like), which did not balance strongly. The cone was your generic cheap ice cream cone, nothing to write home about. Vibe: 4/5 clean set up and very low key overall which is nice for those who like simplicity. Decor creates a very easy going atmosphere. Later hours of operation would certainly enhance the vibe. Price: 3.5/5 reasonable for what you get. Nachos were decently filling and did satisfy my nacho craving. Creemee pricing is decent. Note on preferences: I was raised in a Latino community near Los Angeles and frequented trips to Mexico on the border, so Vermont Mexican cuisine is quite different from what I grew up with. TLDR: cool spot to grab a quick creemee post City Market or later at night when in a mood for munchies. Would give a 3/5, but I believe that they should be given a chance for others to come through.

Little Gordo! What a sweet little spot. It's a little off the beaten path from the main drag in Burlington, but it was so worth it. Unusual flavor combinations but they worked. I got the honey lemon and matcha twist, which were such a compliment to each other. The tangy sweet honey lemon with the bitter sweet matcha was amazing. The espresso blueberry twist was also not to be missed! Creamy and so so good. One of the best unique soft serves I've ever had!

Ok creemees but slightly salty and leaves a bit of aftertaste. Not as good as Burlington bay or palmers IMO.

From AZ out in VT to visit family-hands down some great ice cream! What a gem in Burlington. Y'all need to come out west

Creemy texture, consistency, crystallized maple perfection in classic wafer cone. A little salt would be nice, we got a coffee twist which was an excellent bitter balance. Amazing end to summer bike ride

Great creamer much thicker than most. Big problem with their cones though. Don't order a large or you'll never know eat the whole thing before the cone is almost liquid. Pointy end was mush by the time we walked across the parking lot. Thumb went through the rest about 3 minutes later. Pitched more than half out the window so I didn't make a huge mess in the truck. Get it in a cup their cones suck.

I read about this place in the local paper, and how great it was. Took the family last night for a first-hand experience. Very disappointed. Small cones with less than desirable tasting creemees (chocolate, and chocolate/vanilla twist). The rest of the clientelle during our visit were college-age, so just may not be aimed for the taste of young children & older adults....

Soft serve was icy. I've tried a lot of the ice cream cittenden has to offer and this was one of the worst. Village scoop in colchester is by far superior. The scoop in Shelburne is also really fantastic.
