The place was super cute! But the food was very underwhelming. Maybe it's the more traditional way which I can respect, but as an American super sweet tooth, I would recommend against ordering pastries and desserts. The fruit dumplings and apple strudel looked very cute, but the fillings were bland and not good. The eggs Benedict and other savory food items were great though. And the waffle was AMAZING!! There is usually a wait time on weekends but there's a cute little place to take a quick stroll with some ducks across the street while waiting.

This was a very quaint little place. It was clean, interesting and the food was amazing. We has a special that was running for the last day which gave up a 3 course meal for $15 each the soup was fabulous and filling. They brought us a pie that was like cheese cake with pears and fresh whipped topping. The server was very good and knowledgeable about the food he was offering. The clocks on the wall reminded me of one my grandma had on her wall that was a gift from Germany. I recommend this place highly!

We stopped in for dessert and were not disappointed. Wonderful Czech desserts. My husband ordered the apple strudel and I ordered the fruit dumpling. Both delicious. My husband said the strudel was just like his mom used to make. The decor was adorable. Really enjoyed this visit and will definitely be back again.

We're on our honeymoon and were excited to try some traditional German food. While the food was delicious, the service was lacking. No wait for a table and the waitress was quick at first but it seemed like she forgot about us after we ordered. We waited quite a while for our food. Great food but perhaps needs to look into improving their overall restaurant system.

Overall as a German Restaurant the food is ok. I was not blown away. The service was very good and the wait staff friendly and prompt. They didn’t have much knowledge of the German dishes. The dining area is really nice both inside and outside. Cool little pleasant areas of art or history on the walls. The bathrooms were nice and clean The bar has a few good beers and they will give a taste. The beers give a nice range of different tastes from light to robust. The wild sausage mix was well presented and had some nice seasoning. Very tasty. We had the schnitzel. It was not great and the portion was rather small compared to other restaurants. The meat was gristly and tough to cut. I may have had a bad cut. The Jaeger sauce had very few mushrooms and was kind of bland. The spaetzle was very good and had a strong garlic flavor, very nice. The red cabbage dish was also delicious. Again the red cabbage portion was rather small. Coffee and deserts were nice. However the Black Forest cake is not made there. Only some of the deserts are made on location. Overall nowhere near a 5 star dining experience- but a strong 4.0. We would definitely come back.

Dinner was excellent! You can tell the chef really cares about the quality of food that comes out of her kitchen. The waitstaff looked a little overworked, but they were attentive and knowledgeable. I had the saurbraten and my husband had jagerscnitzel. He said his dish was a nostalgic trip back to his childhood.

If you want some really excellent German food while you're in Boerne TX, I highly recommend Little Gretal Restaurant. The local charm and service compliments an already great menu. The food was hearty and fresh just like oma used to make. Check hours of operation since the had just opened up for dinner as I arrived. Good timing!

I had the roast duck-wasn’t sure if I’d like it but it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The skin was crispy, not fatty, meat tender and the side dishes were all delicious too. We ate around 5pm so not busy then. Waiter refilled our drinks, was attentive and again, the food outstanding.
