Need to invest in training people to work the baked goods counter. Aunty , you’re rude and have a paku mouth! I come heh fa ova 20 years now and eyeyuh still nah change yuh dutty attitude! LGBS is the pride of this community as one other customer described it, and I would agree. I implore the owners to improve on making it a better customer experience so we can send the next generation into the shop and not have them cringe and complain to us the parents about how they service suck! I gave a lenient 3* but it was difficult at best. I know plenty people a guh buy yuh product and yuh na care wah meh a seh. Unfortunately look at the other business which came before you and see their failure like the other bread shops in the 90’s. Do you want to be a legacy or a has been like Sybils?

I bought this bread late Sunday night and today, on Tuesday morning, it has molds. In addition, the cashier at the register slipped in one large Cadbury and one extra cream soda to my bill and was fussing to reimburse me after I checked my bill and saw the extra items were on the bill. On top of the fuss, one long stew teeth at me for asking to be reimbursed. She just wanted me to take the item as compensation for the extra charge. Awful service.

The trini cashier super rude and disrespectful. She was on the phone the whole time talking about someone's husband didn't pay me any mind. Dropped my items on both sides of the register and didn't even pick them up I had to ask for her several times for items I purchased that land on her side. She shewed her teeth and trew it at me . Spend $136 and was even given a bag option. Lucky I was parked right infront the store and have plenty in the car. We had no words because her conversation on the phone was far too important and this is 9am in the morning 6/22 . These places need to at least acknowledge the people buying because each store sells the exact same thing customer service is what will set things apart. I will not return and would have left my items if they weren't already paid for. Sadly we know the owner from back home but the standards of these workers get worst and worst .

Came in late one evening for pastries, the pine tarts, black eye cakes, and cheese rolls were all fresh. They are 3 pieces for $2, I thnk it's a good deal.

I can’t believe this place legally allowed to see food products. If you want a reason to never eat West Indian food this is your place. I bought patties, I started eating it 2 minutes after, it was frozen, I was able to heat it up but it taste worse than cardboard. The staff is useless, not sure how they even have a job in customer service if you don’t even make the slightest effort to communicate to your customers. This is a disgrace, they need to be shut down, it’s not sanitary at all.

This place has a lot of stuff to offer. Fresh fish, groceries, bread and pastries. I like their currant rolls when I am in the mood for one. However their check out service could be better. The line tends to get very long and slow checking people out. that can be a factor if I or anyone else decides if they want to shop in there. You should not be on phone while checking out customers and I see that often and it's not a customer call. Some of the workers there are nice. This place would be better if they worked on getting customers checked out quicker

I went there yesterday bought two dozen pintart i ask the girl to make sure she give me fresh stuff because i need it for school . The teacher had to send it back home bc the pintart was so stale that thr kids cannot even eat it . Worst place to buy stuff .selling stale stuff an give ppl.

My first experience was great

A Guyanese staple, this shop had everything Guyanese related. You can find all of your spices, curries, fish, meats, pastries and a lot more groceries items. There are several location, but I always come to the one location on Liberty Ave, which is always well stocked. Parking can be a bit difficult here, as you do have to park on the street. The shop is kept clean as much as possible, there are often times item are on the floors, waiting to get stocked. Staff here is straight to the point, they don't care to mingle or chat, they cash you out fast so they keep the lines moving.

I recently bought some cheese roll pinetart and bag of butter flop and I was disappointed I got in the car and started sampling the products to find out it wasn't fresh and butter flop was hard I will not be buying no pastry again from them but I will buy the uncook products Sad

Love this place anytime I'm in Queens I hit it up for patties and pinetart. Can't wait to go back.

They do not give price for a sponge or black cake over phone .No wonder it is a shitty store on Liberty Av in Richmond Hill ( little Guyana ) .I came all the way from out on Long Island to buy 6 cakes still , just to patronize the owner i know personally .You need to change the stupid policy ..Not a quotation to buy a Bugatti Noire you asking for...And to top it off cashiers slow like hell ,and got a ticket on my SUV outside when i returned .

Their bread has trans fats ! No expiration dates on the bags which should've been a red flag but I foolishly bought a bag . The bread didn't taste anything like whole wheat . It had some essence flavoring that was off putting . The Pholourie was the worst ever . They have so many baked goods but God only knows how long they have been sitting there or what they are adding to them to keep them from getting stale . Didn't waste much calories on this junk and it was quick to meet the bottom of the garbage .

Pastry is dry AF. Bread is stale AF. Staff is rude AF. Thrash. Find an alternative bakery, so much other options on liberty avenue, guess they don't care for competition and there's always those loyal customers.

Shopping in and around this section of Queens is simply a pleasure, however the parking can be a bit trying. Walking into Little Guyana Bake Shop and by virtue of the name, I was assuming a bakery that sells regional baked goods. It appeared that the business had expanded to the adjacent store where the entrance is located. So once inside, you'll find nothing bakery-esque, you will find meats, legumes, fish, spiced, great cookware and much more. Once your almost to the meat counter, swing a three o'clock right and enter the bakery area. I must have arrived at a good time of baking, as the door separating the back from the front swung open with regularity, enough to bask in the wonderful aromas of the baked goodness.

Do not buy from this store. I always did over the years. The bakery items are a horrible quality Mr Raj and the filet Bangamary was smelling so badly. The stores used to be good but Bakery and fish do not buy. Please go to places that move their products. Bakery Sybil Bakewell until Mr Raj clean up his act Customer service is terrible especially bakery. There are many choices out there.

Usually go to this bakery every weekend. However, Friday I went to get my usual West Indian stuff. I asked the lady for 12 Chinese cake and noticed everyone of them was super stiff. I asked her if she can at least give me a few from the middle of the tray and she refuses saying SHE CAN'T DO THAT. My money paying for these items why does she get to determine what I should or shouldn't take. I explained to her how hard these Chinese cake were and can she change them to one's that are softer. She bluntly declined and said I can take it or leave it and didn't care if I didn't purchase there again. So, they lost my sale that week and this will be my last time spending my hard earn money at this location. I hope they understand without customers they will not have jobs/business and when a customer ask for something that's fair it should be denied. She need to change her attitude as this is not good customer service. There's plenty of bake shop that will be happy to accommodate a weekly customer that spend minimum $50.

Went to Little Guyana Bakery in Richmond Hill on Sunday 03/27/2022 because Liberty Avenue was closed down for Holi Parade. I normally buy from Bakewell only. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN AND YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING HERE EITHER!!! EVERYTHING is garbage. The tennis rolls were about a week old and tasting of strong vanilla essence HARD as hell. The bread was the same. The pastry was RAW. I purchased over $60 in tennis roll, bread, and pastry, everything was bad. I had to throw everything away. Never ever again will I or anyone should buy anything from here.

Buyers be aware when using credit cards . This grocery store charges convenient fees. on your card. Very sneaky because many people don't look at receipts. Just happen to notice after years of paying. No one would expect that from a grocery store. SNEAKY .THE cashiers don't tell nor there is a sign.

Little Guyana is passable. I, personally am not a fan. They sell the usual caribbean pastries, pine tarts, red bread, plait bread, etc. the best part is they are a lot cheaper than sybils. they also sell various grocery items, but i would rather go to the grocery stores on liberty. they have better prices and fresher products.

I was starving and on the brink of getting a hunger headache. The lights on the shop gleamed ever so brightly and i happily walked in to get a quick snack that could hold me until I got home. I ordered a currant roll ($2.00) and a chicken patty ($1.75) from a low speaking woman (I was getting irritated that I had to ask her to repeat herself so many times... Hunger does not have patience) then headed to the train station. Needless to say, I am currently on the A train and still ridiculously hungry as both food options were not what any West Indian used to these basic staples has in mind when ordering. The patty was microwaved and filling was flavorless, the currant roll had a weird aftertaste and was not soft and flaky as it should be. I am still hungry and very disappointed!!!!! Never again! Smh

not that great!!...plat bread only last 2-3 days they grow mold!! Cashier there is very slow...too busy giving instructions to the fish mongol and not attending to the customers!! What's up with that!!

Went in today to grab a few things to-go. Unlike other reviews, my experience was positive. The cashier was friendly. I had no issues re: customer service. Bought some phoulourie and cheese rolls and a banana soda. No complaints-warm & fresh.

This place stinks! Please watch out for the cashier she will rob you blind. She will weigh your fish and enter a different price in cash register. Also she adds up item very fast entering different prices. Also, the pastries are nothing to talk about. It's dry and no good. I will take my business elsewhere who wounld not try to take me for a fool! Please review your receipt after you leave and check all prices!!!!

They sell fish and baked goods in the same place...the cake I ordered smelled like fish and was insanely expensive.

I am a regular customer at the 11604 Liberty Ave. On 02/23/18 I purchase the cheese stick snack, when I went home to give my 2 and 6 years old children i notice it was expire, I went back the following week and I told the cashier. She informs the sales guy that all the cheese stick was expired. To my surprise when i went back the following week they took off all the expiration dates from the cheese stick snack. I ask the cashier Annie what's the expiration date on these chips she said to me "if they don't have one then they don't expire". Come on Little Guyana Bakery little innocent kids consume these snacks they can get sick from these thing.

Clean up your attitude cashier girl. The cashier at this location needs an attitude adjustment. She worked on Saturday afternoon(if there's more than one) "Lady", get some home training before you deal with customers. You are super rude and need to know that the customer comes first . My mom stopped in on Saturday to get bread. This cashier was super "hoggish"(you know what that means because you're Guyanese) when my mom said she likes the bread that's a bit more brown. Then she sold my mom the stalest red cake she could find. If we did not live far from the store you would've gotten that cake thrown at you. I'm not being unfair because it's not the first time we have experienced this type of service. You may find yourselves out of business sooner than you think. Look around at the competition.

It was my first time in this store and I must first say the merchandise is excellent in this store but I rate the customer service 2 out of 5 I got there in the late evening and went over to the section where the teas and hot sauces are being displayed. I looked up to ask the woman at the pastry counter a question. I noticed her eyes were directly focused on me and my movement. After making my selection and was getting ready to pay, I noticed another employee (tall and large male) walked first to the middle of the store where he stood for about 2 minutes then to the section where I was and position himself by the register. When I realized I needed to make more purchases. As I went to the back of the store. I was being watched. Then I went over to the section where they have the bakery, the same thing happens again. As I was getting ready to make the second purchase, a feeling of being disrespected by the employees so I returned my entire purchase. No customer should be singled out because of their. And this is what this store did.

The cashier is a piece of work. She robs you every time by charging extra. She charged 30 dollars instead of 3 dollars. When i asked her so wheres my refund for her over charged of 30 dollars . She said we dont do refunds so you have to take 30 dollars of stuff worth in the store..... i would never ever ever recommend them... it took me hours and days to get my refund.. i repeadly went back again and again. And every time ahe said no manager is there to help me ...... crappy of the crap

Little Guyana's customer service was horrible and their fishcakes were NOTHING compared to Sonny's up the block - it had an aftertaste. and the phulories - NASTY! i threw both of those items away. I did try their currant roll - passable, but their cassava pone was quite tasty.

If I could give half star I would because of the boss's attitude. I forgot I was in a bakery shop for a second because of the way he was treating the short hair light skin lady in the front and the Mexican fair guy. He was very rude I felt very bad to watch him talk to his employees like that. Frankly those two employees are my favorite every time I visit especially that Aunty who's been there for years since I've been a customer. He will lose me and many many more customers because of his attitude!!!!!!

This is the second time I've gone to this bakeshop and the baked goods are old. I bought a strawberry cheesecake and when I tried to cut it, it was very hard. After looking at the bottom, it was moldy. The grind fruit cake also hard! I am never buying baked goods here again.
