"Little India has been beloved by Denverites since before Y2K hysteria, its popularity so enduring that the 6th Ave. location is now open 24 hours. (Because who doesn’t want lamb vindaloo at 4am?) But everyone knows the best time to go is at lunch for the buffet, when you don’t have to choose between butter chicken and biryani, and your wait time between craving six pakora and eating six pakora is approximately zero minutes. Options vary daily, but they almost always have tandoori chicken, saag, dal makhani, korma, and one of the best chicken curries we’ve ever had." - Allyson Reedy

Google
Order via Door Dash so can’t really comment on the service or atmosphere but I wanted to be sure to comment on the food. The Fish Naan is AMAZING, for people who truly enjoy authentic Indian flavors in their food when they say spicy it is actually spicy so be sure you can handle it 🤣. My only reason for 4 stars was my naan it had a bit too much uncooked flour on it and not enough of the garlic taste I enjoy. Overall would eat hear again but next time in person so I can truly enjoy the atmosphere and service.

Our waiter, Deep, was PHENOMENAL! The food was not only amazing, but he made our date night so fun and memorable. He was fast, attentive, and super personable. Will definitely be back just for the great service alone:)

Got a coupon in the mail so I decided to try this place. The delivery was fine, but as I was in the elevator going back to my apartment my hand started to feel warm. Whoever packaged my food didn't close the lid on the butter chicken so when the delivery driver handed it to me it started spilling everywhere. Also only got one thing of rice for two entrées. I haven't even tasted the food yet but this is a bummer for how much I paid for this. - Edit to say the restaurant followed up with me after right after I left this review to fix the problem and dropped off a new order right away. Super fast response which I really appreciated!

Wow! One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Denver. Very grateful for Vicki (our server) and the team! They were so kind and attentive. Food was delicious — hot and fresh! Beautiful presentation. We ordered the samosa chaat, chai, mango lassi, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and saag paneer. I was celebrating my birthday and they also brought me a delicious dessert! Great service! We will be back. Thank you!

Google
We found this place on a Anniversary trip during 4th of July late at night. At the time I was too tired to eat so I got some Keemma Nan (lamb stuffed nan) and the boyfriend had gotten some Mixed Biryani. It was so good that when we came back through we stopped again. And we're not disappointed. We ended up ordering Lamb Biryani, Lamb Saag, Garlic Cheese Nan, and for an appetizer we got a Marsala Bello. All of it was delicious and did not disappoint at all! Definitely gonna become a regular stop when we visit! They also have their own craft sodas, which my boyfriend ordered a Lavender Ginger Ale and I got a peach Pib. Both delicious 😋

Been coming here for years and years and it’s spot on every time! Nohm was the best server and love seeing him! Thank you guys so so much for amazing quality, perfect spice to whatever temp requested! I’ll be back again and again. (I come once a week!) yummm. Run, don’t walk… family owned and definitely shows.

Google
My shrimp vindaloo had pieces of mystery chicken in it. I’m pescatarian and don’t eat chicken, so this was really gross. I would worry about cross-contamination here if you have food allergies. They also used red food coloring, and it didn’t have potatoes like the menu description said it would. Maybe this is fine as late night drunk food, but it’s not worth the high prices they charge.

We came in here on a late late Saturday night. The staff was super friendly. But the music was so loud and so annoying that we really just wanted to eat and leave. I understand they play the music that’s comfortable for the restaurant. But this was super loud and it was like some rapping going on with gunshots. And I understand word a younger crowd at night. But I just felt like it was not appropriate. The food was good. They provided a free yogurt sauce. It was really delicious. We’d had a ginger beer which I do not recommend it because it was very sweet.

Yelp
This is the first Indian place that I tried in Denver. I'd say the 24/7 hours were quite appealing, so I'm excited to go again after a night out. I ordered takeout, and it was ready as soon as I walked in. I do wish there was more parking in the back, but there is a curbside pickup option I believe. I ended up getting the lamb curry with garlic naan. I was looking to order the lamb Rogan Josh, but unfortunately I didn't see it on the menu. However, the lamb curry was incredibly flavorful, and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of lamb that was in the curry (some places really skimp despite charging the same price). I got medium, which had a little bit of a kick, but I definitely could've gone hotter. I was a bit disappointed in the garlic naan- it was a little dense and could've used a little more garlic. I'd give this place a 3.6/5, but I will be back to try more dishes for sure!

Annette T.

Yelp
Service and atmosphere were great but food could be better for the price. We had the vegetable korma, which could have been more flavorful, and the Seekh (lamb) Kabob. The lamb was pretty good in flavor and served on a sizzling platter with onions and bell peppers. My only comment on the lamb was that it was too dry, and the end pieces were especially so dry that they were hard in texture.

Yelp
excellent customer service and delicious, well-balanced curries. good value for investment and great deals/discounts. lovely indoor patio area and authentic ambiance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Yelp
We love Little India. It's a standard for a reason. This is the first time I tried delivery rather than eating in and it was just as good as you would want.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a late lunch and really enjoyed the food. I started with samosa chaat - delicious and loved being able to have samosas with all different sauces and always love chickpeas. For my main dish, I did a lentil based dish that I've never had before and also really enjoyed it. Of course had to have garlic naan with it. The server was also so nice. This wasn't the best Indian I've had but still a nice lunch with plenty of leftovers nonetheless

Justin T.

Yelp
Solid spot with a nice ambiance and a good lunch buffet. While the options for the lunch buffet was a bit more limited than other lunch buffet, it's still worthwhile. My favorite thing was their tandoori chicken and I added their mango chutney to it. The creamed spinach was also really good. The service was good, ultimately you help yourself and they will bring you whatever drinks you want and naan bread. I've had other places I like better but still overall if you're craving a good Indian place and you're in the area, this place should do the trick. I would come back, happy eating!!

Stefanie C.

Yelp
So sad I missed out on Restaurant Week at Little India when my friends went. Came here anyways with a large group because those friends had gift cards to spend. Service is fantastic. I got the Lamb Korma and Garlic Naan, both of which were fairly good. Overall it wasn't super memorable (also not my go-to Indian spot in town) but I would still come back and try it again. Or one of the many other locations across Denver!

Rachel C.

Yelp
The smell coming from inside when we got out of the car was amazing! Very clean tables, tasteful decor- menu was pretty extensive. We must have come on an off night. Food came out lukewarm, I had a hair in my raita, but the garlic naan was delicious and the jalapeño and cheese roti was spicy and delicious. I ordered the chicken biryani and my husband ordered the butter chicken. Food was OK, like I said it was lukewarm, but I wasn't going to send it back. Service was fairly attentive. The local we were dining with said something was off about the entire experience and normally was top notch. I'd be willing to give them another try, another day next time I'm in town.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
Unfortunately the Little India on 6th Ave seems to have gone downhill. I used to really enjoy this spot, but my two recent visits were lackluster. On the first recent visit I ordered takeout and ended up sitting waiting for an extra 20 minutes past when they said the food would be ready. I have a short lunch break so I barely had time to eat lunch that day. Then the second recent visit I asked for mild lamb masala and when I started eating it, it was super spicy for me. I don't think I'll be returning after these two negative experiences.

Mike S.

Yelp
We have been going to this restaurant for 10 years +. We were there last year and the food was greatas usual. Went there for lunch today.9/26/24. Palaak paneer tasted like vinegar. the veg korma was bland. Chicken curry had no curry taste. And fewer selections.

Kimber F.

Yelp
Been going here for years....Excellent Food. Thank you I love the tikka masala and the sweet lassi.

Alan B.

Yelp
Arrived at 6:30 10/28 party of 4. No other patrons in the place at that time but did fill up later. Order taken at 6:40 food did not arrive until 7:20. Drink order wrong, non order wrong, main dish wrong. Inexperienced wait person. As I was entertaining out of town guests it was a very embarrassing experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone.

Truth T.

Yelp
Not normally a Karen on here but need to address this poor experience. Ordered takeout online and called to check if there were any peanut allergies in our order. Was told "let me check" and then hung up on - twice. The food was late and was missing 3 items. Out of the food that was there, half of it was soggy as if it had been sitting. I then called the next day to speak with someone about the missing items and was told I would receive a call back. I have since followed up 3 separate times and have either been hung up on or have left a voicemail with no returned call. As a former loyal customer at the Highlands location, this experience felt like a completely different restaurant that didn't care about customers or even pretend to care. And did I mention complete rip off with missing items that weren't refunded?

Michael G.

Yelp
I had their lunch buffet last week and it was pretty solid and a good selection. I will go back for sure.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Solid 3 star Indian restaurant. The menu is extensive and has many options. There are locations all over Denver. The prices are actually on the higher side at $20 an entree. We got the samosa, Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Pasanda, and garlic naan which came out to around $60. We enjoyed the samosa and the sauces that came with it. Both entrees are very similar tastes and flavors. I preferred the Vindaloo my partner preferred the Pasanda. We were VERY disappointed by the naan as it's a paper thin piece of bread, not at all thick and fluffy. That was quite upsetting. Make sure to check out their freebies / free cocktail offers!

Werner W.

Yelp
Went their on a whim for lunch today (a Wednesday). First, the staff was super friendly and attentive. We had the lunch buffet and the food was excellent. Spiced right for my palette (meaning mildish). As vegetarians, there were ample options. And the mango custard was a nice treat after lunch. The buffet was $16.99. The place filled up quickly with what seemed professionals from the neighborhood. Living in the neighborhood for two years it took us long enough to visit and we'll be back. Forgot to take pictures of the food, but did catch the two fun murals outside in their free parking lot. A treat in the neighborhood.

Eleanor S.

Yelp
Amazing service and good. I really enjoyed the Lamb Korma. The shrimp biryani was also delicious. My family likes to come here on Christmas Eve. It has become a bit of a tradition for is.

Eilen S.

Yelp
Came to this location for dinner on a Sunday night at 7pm. We made reservations and barely had to wait, prob around 10 minutes to get seated. The parking lot was out of control. Someone double parked - blocking half the lot so we had to find a neighborhood parking spot outside of their lot. The server himself was a nice guy but holy cow we waited over an hour to get our food. We were all starving and once the food started coming out they brought the chicken first with no sides so we just started eating chicken because we were all hangry. Tables around us all got their foods before us... it was truly enraging. Not to mention the fact that none of the staff even acknowledged us while we waited. The food was just okay. Completely decent but definitely lacking. The garlic naan had no flavor, the rice had no flavor and the best thing we had was probably the Alu Gobi.. the tandoori chicken also lacked in taste. The prices where very good. Really cheap for the amount of food that we had but in general I would have preferred to pay a little more and have a bit more flavor. I wish them the best but I prob won't return.

Kaylie R.

Yelp
Without a doubt the food is great, but the service was pretty bad. Our server went missing for about an hour and then our food came out barely warm. We were two of 8 people in the entire restaurant so it didn't make sense why it took as long as it did.

Lucy D.

Yelp
We came on my birthday and had a great experience! Deep was our server and was attentive and friendly. We both really enjoyed the food, everything tasted amazing and came out quickly. I've never had Onion Kulcha before and it was absolutely delicious! They even gave us some rice pudding free of charge at the end which was also yummy. Overall great experience

Grace A.

Yelp
Always enjoy my meals here Most recently had great food and service at their lunch buffet.

Liza F.

Yelp
Have been coming here regularly since they first opened and this is the first time I have been disappointed. Not just mildly either - the food was downright bad. Ordered takeout and picked it up right away. Seemed unusual that the restaurant was practically empty on a Friday night. The butter chicken lacked it's usually spices and the garlic naan was actually horrible. More like a flavorless dried out piece of cardboard. Hoping this was a fluke.

Miatsu K.

Yelp
My lovely, soon to be bride, and I, stopped in for dinner tonight. I had been been here once before and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I really wanted Freyja to experience this as well. She was not disappointed. There is plenty of parking right next to the building so that's nice and easy. The building is well kept, cleaned and maintained. The decor and music is beautiful and very eye catching. Our waitress tonight was wonderful. I wish I had written down her name. She really deserves credit for just how good she was. The food was amazing and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The garlic cheese naan was exceptional. I had fish curry and my fiancé had chicken Marsala. Both were incredible and just right. The saffron rice was just right. Light and tasty. We got a rice pudding to go and enjoyed it a few hours later, at home. Thank you for making our date night together so wonderful.

Emily K.

Yelp
We love this place, it is such a gem. I would argue it's the best Indian food I've had in the Denver area. It's a great option for take out but I also love the charm of dining in. I've been several times now and each time the service and food is wonderful. They are always attentive and so friendly. Our latest server Rajan was fantastic! We will definitely keep coming back!

Soni F.

Yelp
The last time I picked up food from the 6th Ave. Little India located in Denver I was treated with disrespect and I was missing my order of naan bread. I tried to call, but no one would answer the phone. It was so bad I wasn't going to order food from them again. Since past dealings with the restaurant were always positive and the food was terrific, I decided to try again but used free delivery. They advertise a free delivery and a free drink(even with delivery). The drink appeared on my receipt as well. The person that delivered my food told me I didn't receive a drink and asked for my ID. He insisted he needed it. Do I really need an ID check to eat food? Never has this happened anywhere. I will never order food or recommend this restaurant again. What happened to the restaurant I loved? If I could give them minus stars I would.

Frantsy R.

Yelp
THE ABSOLUTE WORSE! I was sooo disappointed. I used to go to Belmar Little India for years when I lived in Lakewood and LOVED. It's been about 6-8 yrs and I ordered from here. Got the butter chicken which was just bland. Also got the Biryani or what they claim is Biryani. Ummm no this was sweet, the lamb was so dry it was inedible. I've never had a Biryani like this and have traveled for years in India. The naan was also not the nice crisp but soft tandoori naan I'm used to it was thicker and just not great.

Britt G.

Yelp
We placed an order for delivery through door dash, Little India forgot items, substituted something else that doubled our order on an item. We all know once the order is delivered it's over. Nothing can be done and my $14 item now becomes a $3 door dash credit. I called the restaurant and they said, sorry, you can you come pick it up the rice that we forgot to include as we don't have anyone here to deliver. What's the reason for a delivery service if no one can get it right any longer? They should have said, I'm so sorry, it's our fault, yes, I'll get it right to you and then placed their own Uber/door dash order to get the items to me! I don't get it! Prices are high but businesses aren't struggling so no one cares about their customers? Can't go back any longer, sad as it's been a staple for 20+ years.

Abby W.

Yelp
Amazing food, good ambiance, fun time! Harry our server was excellent, took great care of us! Can't wait to go back!

Emily K.

Yelp
I ordered samosas, cheese naan and rice pudding. Everything was really good. I like that the samosas came with 3 samosas. The dipping sauces were made well too. I will definitely be back to try some more food

Dobbey G.

Yelp
Tried this place again for takeout and was disappointed again. The tandoori chicken wings were so hard they were basically inedible! Felt like they were just really old. The chicken biryani had big chunks of raw onion and was one of the worst biryanis I've ever had.

Lily S.

Yelp
Turns out, Little India can be gourmet too if you hang out with people who know how to order! LOL. It was COVID, dine in was limited. We were a party of 5 so we picked to sit at the table in the farthest corner of the entire restaurant. With dimmed lighting and a lot of room for air circulation, it felt a little chilly but nice. Somosas were ordered for the table. I had no idea it was such a good appetizer! What felt "gourmet" was the sweet stuffed naan, who would've thought! If you're a coconut fan, don't forget to order these! The Molten Chocolate Cake at the end was pretty gourmet as well, haha. Maybe I was in the mood for sweetness. Tandoori wings were a little dry but not a problem when your partner orders the butter chicken and tikka masala, both were very saucy to complement the wings perfectly! I had a short video clip of my friend's Ginger Chicken, served on a HOT plate, check it out in action, it'll make you want to order that next time! Our waiter was very friendly albeit soft spoken. When he realized he had forgotten something he apologized and apologized. We were like, that's ok, we had more than enough food, so please just take that off the order. He brought out spoons for each and every one of us so we could all taste the dessert!

Nairouz K.

Yelp
Everything is amazing the staff the food is delicious especially the menu Th biryani was super delicious the tikka masala was absolutely fantastic

Caroline B.

Yelp
We went there on a Friday night and there were few guests but still very slow. The service was terrible. They were slow and extremely rude. We eat Indian food on a regular basis always order regular naan. When the server brought our food, she brought garlic naan. We said that we ordered regular naan and she said, "no you didn't, it is right here (hand written) showing that you ordered garlic naan". And she said it as if we were stupid. And said that we would like the garlic naan‍.

Noelle W.

Yelp
Not good... The Basmati Rice was so salty and over cooked. The garlic naan was not edible whatsoever. Stale. It's like they just very lightly sprinkled garlic salt on it and called it good, no flavor at all. The Chicken Tikka Masala was mediocre, I've had better. The Chicken Vindaloo, my boyfriend said was okay, edible but not the best he's had. Both were very skimpy on meat! He said his roti was super stale, not fresh at all. Very disappointed. Definitely sticking to Zaika, their food cost about the same, the food is sooo much better, they take pride in their food and customers there. They definitely don't skimp out on meat and portions. Don't waste money, time, and sacrifice tastebuds here!

Gen W.

Yelp
Great value for their money. They sometimes do promotions of Buy One and Get One Free. I enjoy both their Chicken Masala and their Butter Chicken dish. Their flavors are very tasty. Good value for quality.

Emily H.

Yelp
Eat here! Every dish was fabulous, and our server Harry was attentive, gave wonderful suggestions, and excellent service.

Tim K.

Yelp
Food was very good but the service was terrible. What should've been a one hour meal or so turned into three hour long ordeal. It was not the waiters fault. It just appeared that they were significantly understaffed. I don't think I would eat at the restaurant again, but would definitely do takeout.

Kristina B.

Yelp
Came to their new Central Park location. Mask mandate came into effect today. Sign on their front door yet most of staff not wearing masks Food was excellent, mango cocktail was good, really sweet. Not sure we will be back due to the lack of mask wearing.

Devon S.

Yelp
We love Little India and Parry and Deep were fantastic additions to our service and overall experience tonight. They were particularly attentive to our two small children with a quick order of fries out for them and a very special flower laden Shirley temple that left our oldest (who is 4) with her jaw on the ground over the level of Special that this drink was. The food was fantastic as always, though we did think the saag paneer was much heavier on the lemon than it usually is. Little India is consistent, fantastic, and authentic. Always a great choice.

Dana W.

Yelp
Um Yummmmmmmm!!!! They deliver so no need to spend all that money on grub hub. I ordered the lamb Madras ($16.99) and it was perfect! They sent it in 2 containers and it's EASILY 3 meals you just may need to cook more rice. Totally delicious and will order again. I think delivery was either $2 or $3.00.

Eric G.

Yelp
This place is always consistently good, Parry our waiter was super attentive and went above and beyond. check these guys out you wont be disappointed!

Lauren F.

Yelp
The food was great when we got the correct vegetarian order. My fiance ordered a vegetarian dish, he was given lamb. Thankfully he occasionally eats meat, but that's a big deal to be given a meat dish. The service wasn't very good either, we asked another server where our server was because it had been 20 minutes since we had seen her and still hadn't been given our drinks and then asked again to notify about our food. And they still charged for the incorrect dish, served other people after we came in... Takeout would've been a better choice.

Jacob D.

Yelp
I've read through a lot of the reviews. I would like to address some of the more negative ones. A. If you don't like Indian food don't go to an Indian restaurant to try the best voted one and then leave a poor review for it. B. Parking is bad everywhere... welcome to Denver! C. I have not ordered takeout from here. But I could see how missing items could be annoying. It seems like a problem with many restaurants. It's a 50% crap shoot when ordering food online to be delivered in my experience. With all that said I've been here only twice. I don't remember the dishes I got, but I've loved it both times. The second time we went our servers name was Ollie. It wasn't too busy, and Ollie made an amazing Mile Hi cocktail that was probably a three on taste... but it put me on my ass and I'm 240 pounds. 5stars for that drink that Ollie made. We brought someone that didn't have any experience with Indian food. She just asked Ollie to surprise her. He brought out a vegetarian dish. Before she tried it, she asked for something different. We encouraged her to try some and she loved it. The next time Ollie came by, we tried to cancel the new dish from coming, but it was already in the works and they just gave us it for free. We were extremely satisfied with the service, the taste, and the way that Ollie went above and beyond!

J S.

Yelp
Don't send around promotional emails for discount lunch buffet if you will actually charge full price! Food is good, but it really is annoying to get a bunch of emails advertising lunch buffet discount and then be charged full price when bring the family in!

sandy b.

Yelp
3 of us ate here and enjoyed the Punjabi samosas, dal soup( a little bland), tandoori chicken, potato naan and lamb curry dish. It was enough food and we had leftovers, yay. The staff were pleasant, patient and provided good service. Next time perhaps we'll partake in the lunch buffet. It was helpful that there was free parking on site, due to a son on crutches. We ate here twice in 2 weeks and both times the food was fresh, and so delectable. We love the chicken dishes and creamy rice pudding.

Xanthia G.

Yelp
We had a really delicious meal and great service here. The food was delicious and the waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of every dish. He assisted with great descriptions of the dishes to accommodate a dietary restriction. The madras was spicy and rich. We really enjoyed the mint chutney and drink selection.

Simi A.

Yelp
We went there last night. The food and service were amazing. Our server Rajan was awesome! He went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend it! We'll be back.

Kevin D.

Yelp
Foods are such amazing and warm like marvelous. Also the service made my day and great manger for our food. The waiter deserves to have raise with honorable Indian service in the city.

David F.

Yelp
This place has nasty food. It's not clean the staff talks over and gets there a pit in the buffet.
