Myself and some coworkers recently had lunch here at Little Italy. Being that it was lunch time was worried it would take a long time but it definitely was not. Service was great. She made sure our drinks were full and kept the bread basket full. Tried their oil to dip the bread and was really good! I had the baked ziti and was the perfect portion for me! The restaurant was small and quaint. Definitely will be returning!

We had our 28th anniversary dinner here and really enjoyed our meal. Wonderful service too!

This place reminds me of an old Italian restaurant I worked for in high school. The staff is always nice, the atmosphere is typically what you would expect from an Italian restaurant, and it's normally pretty quiet, but gets busy when the students are back. The prices are good in comparison to other chain imposters. The food is always prepared fresh, the pizza is good, the clazone's are outstanding. It's become a favorite of my wife and I.

Over 20+ members of the Italian American Club of Tallahassee enjoyed a delicious dinner at Little Italy. The servers were great and the owner was very accommodating, ensuring that our experience was great. Good food served with love.

My family enjoyed a delicious and relaxed meal at Little Italy tonight. Our server was great and attentive to our individual needs. The food was perfect and we ate until we were stuffed. We ordered the pizza, mozzarella sticks, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce and sausage. This is a family favorite and we will be back for sure!

My absolute favorite restaurant for French Onion 🧅 soup.. hands down. My pup 🐶 🌸Gracie and I enjoyed sitting outside, sharing a cheese 🧀 board.. (yes I said sharing )😅😂 However, 🌸Gracie was out of gas when I tried their bread 🥖 & butter 🧈. 😋😜 The atmosphere, location and food is all perfect. Thank you 😊 y’all are always are worth the drive 💯. Seriously.. I’m a BIG time fan! ❤️

Google
I liked it. If you're ordering wine you should definitely go for the bottle. The prices per tiny glass are too expensive.

Emily Rose

Google
No complaints on the food but the atmosphere definitely needs a remodel. Very dated interior and used the restroom to wash hands. I am so glad I didn't have to use the toilet. Yuck. If I ate here again it would have to be in the courtyard. Very cute outside

Yelp
Partner and I come here once or twice a month for quality food and friendly service. He is very picky and only likes pepperoni calzones with no ricotta, and this satisfies him completely. We also love the bread, which is served warm. I've had several dishes here from the pasta soup to their Alfredo as well as their spaghetti and meatballs, and I've never had a bad experience with any of my food. My favorite is their fettuccine Alfredo with vegetables; it's very filling and there's a hearty amount of vegetables and well-cooked noodles. Sauce keeps me coming back for more! Pricing is just a bit higher than average, a hearty pasta dish is around $18.95 or more. Slowly working my way through trying out nearly everything on the menu as we keep coming back for a great experience. Outdoor patio seating is nice, just your average clean (if not a bit dated) restaurant interior and Italian decor. Always happy to have a meal here!

Yelp
Great Italian! This is an exceptional place! Tasteful atmosphere and good people. The food was delicious, and Riley is an Olympic class server. I hope they'll have me as a regular!

Yelp
Ventured out to Little Italy tonight haven't been there in about two years. The food was very bland. The service was very poor and they couldn't get my wife's order correct the ambience was just OK at that and the bathroom was dirty. Sorry to say I wouldn't go there again.

Yelp
Had dinner here on my birthday. We sat in the courtyard outside. Our waitress was very young yet managed her tables well, obviously given good instruction / training. The meals were very good and as is usually the case plenty left to take home for lunch the next day. It is pretty standard fair for these small family owned Italian restaurants but good food at a reasonable price and there's a lot to be said for that. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you try it.

Yelp
Delicious Italian food made with care. Very affordable and lovely atmosphere. Always great and attentive service. Do yourself a favor and come by

Yelp
I ordered the spaghetti/w meat sauce and the Caesar salad with chicken. I received about three layers of meat and a thimble of sauce. It tasted BLAND! Like they INTENTIONALLY decided not to use seasoning at all. The salad came with no grated cheese. Smh. I'm from out of town but will be back. Definitely not rushing back here. Not for a meal over $40. The garlic bread was good though! I went to the hotel lobby and bought a microwave pizza.

Yelp
Perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant. We love going for date night and sitting on the beautiful patio. Very romantic & everything is delicious. Great takeout as well

Yelp
If you can even make a decent carbonara, don't bother! Place and service was ok, but the pasta was awful.

Josephine C.

Yelp
Not enough space here Cpics 1, 2 &3 for the whole story and why we will never go back there ever again. Customer should always be right and never be treated like the owner treated me &my family!!!

Yelp
Dinner tonight and I cannot wait to dig in. I absolutely love their food. I have a large cheese pizza a large pepperoni pizza and a order of shrimp Alfredo a side salad and some bread.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in town the past 4 years and must try if you are in Tallahassee and love great authentic Italian food ! It's a very intimate family owned type of restaurant. Usually plenty of seating and can be busy for holidays like valentines definetly reserve. Their prices are fair and provide a range for any budget! Gotta try the dinner or lunch specials that bring a soup or salad and the entree. Amazing service everytime we've had nimrod servers and they're always constantly checking in and super attentive to our needs. The food was fairly quick and tasted homemade!

Yelp
We have eaten here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed their food If I lived on this side of town, I would come more often. However, I would have to pass several equally good Italian restaurants between my house and here so we don't get much. The first thing you will notice as you enter the courtyard where they are located is a enticing outdoor eating area. I imagine when the weather is nice in Tallahassee that this is quite popular during the evening. Our most recent visit was a party of 12. We were served by one very experienced waitress who did an excellent job keeping all of us satisfied. Drinks were refilled regularly, bread and butter was brought promptly (and replenished), salads came timely with the correct dressing for each and all 12 entrees came out hot and at the same time. That is a sign of a well organized restaurant, especially considering there were 2 other large groups plus plenty of other diners. I loved my red snapper piccata special and had enough to take half of it home. My wife enjoyed her carbonara and also had to take over half of it home. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and commented on the great service we received.

Yelp
Super good italian food (better than Z'bardis). Totally cool and casual. I've been going for 20 years and I've never had a bad meal, I've never had an okay meal... I've only had good to great meals! I love their Calimari, the Sliced tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinagraite, and you can never go wrong with their pizzas or the veal piccata!

Amber M.

Yelp
What a great find! Do not let the Winn Dixie next door deter you. It's a quaint little restaurant who knows how to do Italian! I got the Chicken Country Style and it is the perfect blend! My husband got the Carbonara and it was delish too (rich, but delicious). The bread is fresh baked and the wine is also yummy! Special shout-out to our waitress Abi for not only being a great waitress for us, but running the whole place (inside and outside) all by herself! P.S. I didn't think to get photos of the food - ate it too fast, so you get a photo of the courtyard on a rainy day. :)

Yelp
I had been running around town after work looking for costumes for my kids for Halloween and I was in the mood for some good lasagna! I searched but couldn't find one and then I remembered this place. I'd never been before but I've passed by it (since it's in the Winn-Dixie and Chick-fil-A shopping center) and wanted to try it. I looked up my trusty reviews and decided it was time to try it. They have a really nice outdoor patio area and it was busy for a Tuesday night. I saw so many positive things about how the bread was delicious... and I'm a bread lover! I was torn between the lasagna and the Baked Cannelloni but decided I'd stick with the original plan for lasagna. The lady at the register seems to be Italian and she was very nice, she suggested that I do the lasagna since she too loves it and that I should try the cannelloni the next time I was back ;) When I got home with the food it was still hot, however there were a few cold spots in the middle. Nonetheless, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I ate the entire container and the delicious bread all by myself! I'm a very picky eater and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu items. They are priced great for the portions and to be able to get a home cooked meal.

Yelp
Boy what a hidden gem! My wife and I ate there for lunch taking advantage of their lunch sandwiches special during the week. When we arrived there was one other couple there besides us but by the time we left there was plenty of patrons. The food was great. The atmosphere felt very Italian. The service was attentive and polite. Overall very pleased with this restaurant and will go back again and again. Great first date or any dinner place.

Yelp
Saturday evening, I came in here with my wife and my daughter and really enjoyed our meal. The server, whose name I do not remember, was extremely friendly and hospitable. The food consisting of pasta fagole, an anti pasta, spaghetti & meatballs, and the tortellini were very good. The atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor dining, is exactly what you would want in a small neighborhood Italian restaurant. I ordered a bourbon on a large ice rock, however, and it came out with ice cubes. That is my only reason for not giving that additional star. The bourbon rock is essential for any place with a bar and when I asked, the server said "no problem". Otherwise, a very positive experience. I would go again.

Yelp
It isn't that great but for the prices it offers accordingly. Simple but good. It is a very spacious place both seating inside as outside. As modern as it looks outside, it is outdated inside. Friendly staff. Simple menu. Full open bar. I had a sangria which came without fruit. I ordered the caprese salad which was terrible but for the price what you expect. Cheap thick cut tomatoes with tasteless mozzarella. It's as good as me fixing this myself at home. But again reasonable for the price. The spinach lasagne was really good. The soup of the day and eggplant Florentine were really good, better than when we had this at Cipriani's!

Yelp
Most excellent. Many delicious choices. Friendly staff and superb service. The menu is endless with other delicious choices. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Fairly new Tallahassee residents. Born and raised in New York, Italian Mom. Tried Little Italy for the first time, wife picked up take-out on her way home from work. Sicilian pizza was OK, better than most around town, but not up to what I'm used to in a Sicilian pie (thicker crust, more cheese and sauce). The meatball and chicken parm sandwiches were good, but dry (should come with extra sauce so one can get as messy as they like). We'll try eating in next time to see how service is and meals are, then I can ask for extra sauce.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner here, super friendly servers, family friendly, very quick service, and delicious food. We got the baby pizza, chicken parm and veal. Loved the ambiance and feeling of being in a family owned restaurant!

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Good food but nothing I would write home to my Italian parents about. The restaurant seemed very clean. The food came out quickly.

Yelp
I've been to Little Italy on a few different occasions and have always enjoyed the food. I recently had my graduation party here, BEST decision I could have made. Everyone made sure my day was perfect! I can't thank you all enough! The space was great and my guests enjoyed all the food options. I really love the outdoor courtyard, perfect for pictures. My mother enjoyed her pizza she loved the fresh dough. I generally eat spaghetti or chicken alfredo and it never disappoints. My aunt also noted she loved the cheesecake. I had to skip the cannoli this time but grab one while you're there. As always I'll be back and absolutely recommend for a quiet lunch/dinner or an event!

Yelp
Found this place on Facebook and decided to try it out... I am so glad I did because it is my new spot for Italian food! The bread was so warm and fresh, the house salad dressing was delicious, and my chicken parmesan with alfredo pasta on the side was to die for! My friends ordered the baked ziti and fettuccine alfredo which were both delicious. We also ordered a side of fried calamari and mozzarella sticks that were so fresh and cheesy it was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Sorry for the lack of pictures, everything was great. Seemed really authentic and great portions for the price. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Tallahassee!

Yelp
While the waitress was amazing, the food was not. The soup was the best part. The country chicken (which was recommended) was not good at all. The chicken had a weird texture, the sauce tasted soured for lack of better word. Noodles were very bland. The carpet was frayed and coming up at the seams in the middle of the floor, walls were splattered with something? I Watched a employee clean tables with windex, which may be ok? However it really disturbed me that they sprayed all over the top of the cheese shaker, contamination? The parmesan cheese was the powdered variety. Won't return

Yelp
One of the few places I enjoy the food from in this God forsaken city. Located in the Winn Dixie plaza, but in its own little world is the gem Little Italy. The chicken piccata is always so bright and satiating. I haven't ordered anything on this menu that I didn't like. Chicken Alfredo & chicken parm were really good too! Seems like a popular place as there's usually a good amount of people there when I go to pick up. The restaurant is basic on the inside typical booths and outdoor seating too. Good service never had to wait too long after placing an order. Overall pretty good Italian food.

Takeshi K.

Yelp
Good food. Fair price. Server was nice... ...but reservations not honored. Long waiting line ! Limited staff ! Out of pizza ! Out of clam sauce !!!!

Danika U.

Yelp
Got the meat stuffed shells to go. Hot and delicious. Also didn't realize it came with fresh bread which was a nice touch.

Yelp
It pains me to write this, as we have ordered from Little Italy many times. But our experience last night will be the last birth due to the quality of the food and the attitude of the owner. We often order veal parmigiana dinners for delivery. While not exceptional, they have been good and Little Italy is one of the few places that sells veal that is open on a Monday. So last night we ordered 2 veal parm dinners and a fried calamari appetizer from Little Italy using bitesquad. Note that the dinners each come with a side salad, a side of spaghetti, and bread with butter. The deliver arrived on time. We started with the calamari, which was cooked well and was tasty. Next came the salads, served with ranch dressing, which were crisp and fresh. However, next came the veal. We removed the veal parm and spaghetti from the metal containers and put them on plates. After a few bites of the veal, it was clear that something tasted off about it. Upon closer inspection, the veal was brown all the way through, which to us indicated that it was either way overcooked or too old. The spaghetti was fine, but the veal was simply bad. So we stopped eating it and contacted bitesquad through the chat feature in their app. They asked me to send a picture, which I did (and which is attached to this post). To make a long story short, bitesquad would only agree to give us a $5 credit. I told them that we would happily pay for the calamari, but that we would like a refund for the two dinners, each of which cost $16.95. They told me to contact the restaurant (which they are actually supposed to do). So I called and talked to the owner, ave had her on speaker so my wife could listen. The owner said that if we didn't like the food then it would be no charge. She said that quickly and repeatedly. But she said bitesquad is supposed to call her. She told me to contact bitesquad and tell them no charge for the dinners. So I called them and told them this, and they wanted to call the restaurant to verify. Perfectly understandable. They came back on the line to tell me the owner was only willing to credit one dinner because her husband, who is the chef, and she said that they thought the veal was fine. That's not At all what she told me, but she would but budge. So we are ending up partying for one that was just as bad as the one they credited. I then decided to take a look at the food inspection reports and discovered that they had 20 violations at their last inspection in September. That's a lot. Maybe the poor quality of the veal was related? It's imposible to know. In any event, we will never return. Poor food can happen. Poor service by the owner when it is reported is inexcusable.

Yelp
Excellent staff, food, and atmosphere! Even on a very packed evening, the restaurant was able to quickly and easily accommodate large parties on the spot. We were not the only group and servers were extremely friendly and attentive to detail. Highly recommend if you are looking for tasty Italian cuisine in Tallahassee!

Paige S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The location is convenient and the inside of the restaurant is cozy. The staff is very kind and the food is amazing

Larry D.

Yelp
Prices are now THROUGH the roof while portions have shrunk and quality has fallen off the table. I had Lasagna there the other day and that will be my last trip. Very small portion and no flavor for seventeen dollars. Stouffer's is better. I will not be back.

Yelp
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Tallahassee! Unassuming and tucked into a courtyard in a strip mall, this little restaurant definitely impresses. You can get your usual Italian-American fare at the $15-20 price point. Huge portions make for great leftovers. The house chianti is wonderful. I adore the framed photo of Marlon Brando on the wall. I will return!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't live in Tallahassee anymore but come home a couple of times a year to visit, and Little Italy is probably my favorite restaurant in town. The food is always excellent (I usually get the white pizza - you can get a mini size at lunchtime) - and the Italian owner is so nice. We usually get a pizza to go and the drive home with it is just mouthwatering. Thank you for so many great years of Italian food in Tally!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Quaint outdoor experience with water fountain. Hidden spot in shopping center and busy parking lot but wouldn't know with the relaxed setting. Food was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
This little hidden gem has been around for years, why? Because the food is outstanding. Whether you dine in or do takeout, you won't be disappointed. The ingredients are fresh and every dish is made with care. If you've never been, please give this place a try, you'll fall in love with it. If you've been here before, you know what I'm talking about. If you want authentic Italian food in a charming setting, look no further.

Yelp
Service was great and so was the food! We sat outside in the courtyard which was great on a 70 degree day like today. We'll be coming back!

Yelp
This place was such a pleasant surprise! Everyone was so kind and the food was some of the best and most authentic Italian I have ever had! I will definitely return!

Yelp
Service was very good, our food was good also, but over seasoned. We ate out on the Patio on a cool fall evening which was perfect for me.

Yelp
We had a lovely night here!! Their specialties are all amzingly good, it was home-made style italian pasta with beef and fish. The server was super friendly!

Yelp
Food here is always great however I was shocked and appalled to see staff not complying with Leon country mandatory mask mandate in indoor spaces. Masks were off while talking to customers and other staff members, for an extended period of time. I went to pick up take out food and while I was waiting indoors saw three different staff members not wearing masks upon exiting the kitchen. Love this place but will not be returning during covid, as I don't feel comfortable eating food prepared by staff without masks. If they are openly acting this way in front of customers, I don't even want to know what's happening in the kitchen/out of sight.

Yelp
This review could have been better if not for being exposed to our fill of rudeness from some of the staff. I get very frustrated with rude/unkind people. Haven't we been through enough in this country this past year - can't we just be kind to one another, especially in an eatery? In any case, we wanted to have dinner at a place with a nice patio/with nice, laidback outdoor seating - not too loud, not too crowded. We thought Little Italy would be the perfect venue. My sister went in first to get us a seat, but she was ignored for a while before someone finally acknowledged her and told her it would be an hour before she could be seated. I followed up since the hostess didn't bother to hang around long enough to get a name from my sister or to determine where we would like to be seated. When I went in, it was 10 minutes before I was acknowledged. I was not the only one being "ignored"; there was an older gentleman who had been standing in front of me for a while as well. The frustrating part was that at least five different servers walked past both of us numerous times without even saying so much as "someone will be with you shortly." An older server nearly snapped at a customer regarding how "busy" they were. Sure, the patio was almost full (a few tables were empty), and yes there were customers inside, there were plenty of available tables inside; it was not so busy as to explain why customers weren't at least having the opportunity to sign in upon entering. Of note, there were no fewer than five servers/hostesses hanging around the cash register/hostess area in the front of the restaurant. I had been quite patient and felt the need to speak up. When I was finally able to get someone's attention, I was informed - in a very unpleasant manner by a young, blond female - that they were busy and would get to me, all the while looking down at whatever she was writing (no eye contact at all). At just that moment, a very nice young man came to the rescue and asked where we would like to be seated. I pointed out a table on the patio that had been empty for at least 15 minutes; he said he would get it cleaned up right away so we could be seated. We appreciate him saving the day, so to speak. The waitress assigned to our table was great as well. Perhaps both these persons could be the host/hostess; having an unpleasant demeanor is just distasteful! On to the meal - for appetizers, we ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and fried calamari; for the entrees, we ordered spaghetti with meatballs, chicken cacciatora, shrimp scampi, baked meat shells, and a meat calzone. The appetizers and entrees were spot on; the bread was not as warm as expected, but good all the same; the caesar salad had too much dressing, and the zupa del giorno soup was just ok. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and simply had a nice time (once were got seated). :o)

Maggie B.

Yelp
Garlic bread and oil was good. The dishes we got were just okay. Cannelloni and fettuccini Alfredo. The interior was pretty tacky. Service was great.

Yelp
Although my wife and I have patronized this restaurant many times over the years, we had sort of forgotten about it. That changed when we were considering a dining venue with patio service, where we could meet friends for lunch on a patio isn't adjacent to a busy thoroughfare. We were not disappointed by this Tallahassee, independent main stay in local restaurants. Two of us had the Scallopini Chicken, one with Marsala, the other with Piccata sauce. I had the latter, which was delicious. My wife had the soup of the day and the "white" pizza, which she also enjoyed. Portions were sufficient for us to take half our portions home for later. Service was not outstanding, but I nevertheless tipped generously in support of the servers who brave Covid everyday on our behalf. (All four of us have been vaccinated.) For value, I'd rate this restaurant 5 stars, and will certainly remember the next time we'd like a quiet venue to meet with friends.
