"Little Jane on Grant closed at some point in late 2024 or early 2025, as evidenced when SF Chinatown Daily posted in early January that sticky-sweet tenghulu dealer Sweet Pop is taking over the space with an opening set for summer 2025." - Paolo Bicchieri

"Jane the Bakery’s tiniest outpost that opened in February 2022 at 752 Grant Avenue has shuttered; the bakery’s site currently lists the space as "on vacation." The closed mini-outpost has been replaced by plans for a new candy shop in the same storefront." - Paolo Bicchieri

Amazing pastry. Customer service is great. They're very friendly. Too bad they don't have espresso machine like their other locations, but I would still recommend their coffee.

Google
Super cute location. A little easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Had to stop by since it's nearby work. Only open certain days of the week. Got the hojicha chocolate chip scone to try and the pineapple kouign amann.

Google
It's a Jane's bakery, which says everything about the taste and quality. Thrilled to have this teeny outlet much closer to me so it's easier to get bread and pastry. You can even pre-order your favorite things from the very extensive full bakery selection online and pick them up here! They're going to be open Wed through Sat every week. So now the weekend bread pilgrimage will be a loop through Chinatown to Little Jane and Little Swan over on Stockton, passing by Good Mong Kok for takeout dim sum (steamed chive dumplings ftw) 😋😛

Don’t miss this tiny storefront for a small but diverse selection of wonderful, freshly baked goods from Jane Bakery. They have some unique options to try, but I personally always make sure to get at least one croissant when I stop by.

Not as wide a selection as their main location, but still great

Yelp
Jane, you are magnificent. Bravo to you. I haven't been to the other locations. Just the tiny little Jane in China Town. Tiny Little Place churning out big time pastries. I think the cookies are what they do best but everything is good. It's a tricky little spot because it's smack dab in the middle of china town and you don't go to china town for these types of bakery items. But isn't there something pleasant about knowing you've got this option if you live nearby? (4.6 Stars)

Yelp
2.5 STARS Jane be getting' around... From the Tendergroin, to Pac Heights, to the 'Mo, to Clement, and now to Chinatown. GET IT, GIRL! Not in a Nelly Furtado kinda way because we're talking about a yipster bakery here. Little Jane on Grant is the newest Jane location in the heart of Chinatown (RIP Dragon Papa). It's the smallest location of the five so it's takeout only with a limited selection. You can enjoy your pastries at Portsmouth Square which is just a block down on Clay. It's a gathering place for the senior Chinese community with plenty of benches and public restrooms. Staff wore a mask. M E N U *Exclusive item to Little Jane on Grant Limited menu: Plain Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Hojicha Chocolate Chip Scone, Pineapple Kouign Amann*, Persimmon Puff*, Bread Loaves, and Cookies (no crazy cookie here). GF and vegan cookies available. Pastries and cookies are not baked on-site. Hot coffee available and there's also a cold case of drinks (tea, juices, and soda). P A S T R I E S I was looking forward to the Pineapple Kouign Amann but they sold out early on weekday. However, the other items were fully stocked. Since I was already there, I figure I buy some items to snack on. * Persimmon Puff ($5.50): https://bit.ly/36zn8S0 This was more of a rice pudding tart than a persimmon puff. The crust was delicious - crunchy, buttery, and flaky crust. And, I liked the crumbles for extra texture. But, other than the persimmon garnish on top, there was no persimmon flavor. Based on the other review and other persimmon puff picture, there's supposed to be a layer of persimmon between the pudding and shell. There was none in my puff so I basically received a plain rice pudding tart . =( * Hōjicha Chocolate Chip Scone ($5.50): https://bit.ly/3LPC66u As a huge fan of hōjicha, I enjoyed the strong roasty bitter flavor of the tea, the rich chocolate chips, and the sweet icing to balance the tea flavor. But, texture-wise, the scone was stale, dry, and overly dense. * Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookie ($4): https://bit.ly/3HfExM2 After Anthony's, Jane is my girl for cookies. Not on this visit. In the past, I've accidentally left Jane's cookies in my trunk but still enjoyed them two days later. This cookie was def older than that...the edges were hard and dry, and lacking a satisfying chew in the center. I had to pop it in the microwave to soften it up. S E R V I C E Prompt; no line or wait. A M B I A N C E Compact shop with narrow walkway. P A R K I N G Very, very difficult street parking. Beware of tow-away zones. Portsmouth Square Garage is 1.5 blocks away and it's FREE parking for the first 2 hours for CNY (through the end of February). Otherwise, it's $4/hour. Overall, I like Jane's other locations but very disappointed that two of the three items I bought here were stale, and the other was missing a key ingredient. I either visited on an off day and/or they're not moving their inventory fast enough (aside from the kouign amann). Hope others have a better experience!

Yelp
It's so little you could walk by and not even noticed it. It's much, much smaller compared to their Geary/Fillmore location. Its also take out only. At least there was no line on a Saturday around noon. They had 7 different pastries and about 8 different cookies. Today I tried their Kopi bun. It had a coffee cookie crust and the inside was soft and bread-y. No filling though. It was a nice treat.

Yelp
Stopped in on opening day to try their special pastries -- the pineapple kouign amann and persimmon rice pudding. It's a very tiny place meant for takeaway so I can see it being frequented in the future by those who work in FiDi who want a simple coffee and some pastries to snack on. The persimmon rice pudding was super flavorful and you can taste a lot of cinnamon if you're a fan of that paired with the persimmon puree on top of its flakey shell. The kouign amann is quite reminiscent of a taiwanese pineapple cake filling with a caramelized flakey pastry. Will stop in again to see what other pastries they might have!

Yelp
I want to love it but fell short from all their other locations. Maybe its the interior that is throwing me off but doesn't feel welcoming. The staff was fine but maybe its needs more brightness? I love Jane, especially "Jane the Bakery". I tried their pineapple kouign and it was okay. Nothing special in taste but its very cute and instagramable. I wish it has more of the popular items from the other bakeries. I was so happy for this opening because its close by work. Maybe if they can make this a permanent location, they can do more with the space.

Yelp
Super easy to miss but a great addition to SF's amazing bakeries! I don't have pics of what I bought cuz I was hot and hungry after a long shift but it was super good! I got a free sticker too which is very cute lmao. 1) Persimmon rice pudding puff: a super unique and tasty pastry! Very mild sweetness and a strong persimmon flavor, perfect for people who don't like overly sweet things. 2) Hojicha chocolate chip scone: I was so unbelievably exited to see this! Hojicha is one of my absolute favorite flavors and scones are one of my favorite pastries so I couldn't be happier. Super super strong hojicha flavor, must try for anyone who likes hojicha Definitely stop by to pick up some pastries if you're in the area!

Yelp
Stopped in on Saturday for a Pineapple Kouignamann and a Croissant. Both were excellent. I'm really happy to have another Jane nearby.
