Little Kabab Station

Visited the place several times in the past and the food there is always a delight. The lamb kebab is highly recommended. The curries are also excellent. My favorite is the chicken korma. The service was excellent. Food arrived within about 15 minutes (we dined on a Saturday at 7:00 pm). The server was knowledgeable about the various options.

Very consistent with food. Love the samosa chat or paneer kadai. Totally recommend it. Aloo parata is our usual go to. Chicken or salmon tandoori dinner portions were also good options to consider base dof our past experiences.

I stopped with family for lunch while traveling for Thanksgiving, and they were offering a free lunch buffet. It was AMAZING. Phenomenal food, welcoming atmosphere, extremely friendly staff. Everyone was welcome, and it felt like eating with family. Thank you so much for the wonderful lunch and the kindness you provide to your community! 💕

Still a great very small Indian restaurant in town. The food for these prices and the main dish and salad are served on one paper plate! Even the water comes in a little plastic cup! I am giving it a 4 star ⭐️ because they have not mark the 50% raise on the food prices on the menu! The prices starts at $13 for vegetarian dishes and $15 for chicken and up! Monica is the only waitress, but a great caring one! She does everything and is very attentive!

This is not the type of kebab I'm used to. It was very sloppy, too much oil, and it was cooked and tasted different than the normal kebab. Personally, I wouldn't call that kebab sandwich. The place wasn't that clean and the service could have been better. They have posted that @BillClinton and @MarthaStewart ate there so they must not know what kebab tastes like.

The food is delicious. Ordered this for an office party and everyone loved it! Wonderful vegetarian options. Professional but warm.

Bad food and worse service.. We took a 20 mins detour to go there after a friend recommended this place (little Kabab station) and had big expectation from place. Unfortunately it wasn't worth a dollar.... they asked us to sit in "little crepe street" which was next door and apparently have same owner & staff. 1st the server wasn't interested in taking order and had no idea about their own menu for what is good/bad. They suggested us biryani which was a joke (Pic attached) and Samosa which were horrible (and not completely cooked). I have to move around and request them for cutlery, etc.. everytime and server was no where to be seen. Save your money and order somewhere else.

Well priced, authentic food. The lamb and rice are top notch. Came back after 8 years and the food still has the same flavors I remember from way back when. Always great when a resturaunt can maintain consistency within their dishes. Highly reccomend this spot!

Greater New York Area's Indian Food From a Mumbai-born Indian Chef that boasts of clients the likes of the Clintons and Martha Stewart is this Westchester chain of restaurants and cafes that serve excellent Indian food. This time I visited the @littlekababstation in Mount Kisko that like its sister restaurants, serves better mango lassi than the restaurants I tried in India itself. (Side note: In fairness, the Indian restaurants cooked with the season, and when I went to India in winter February mangoes weren't in season yet, that's why there was no delicious mango lassi at all. While in New York, chefs import whatever ingredient they need so we have almost everything the world cooks and eats any time, if one knows where to look.) So when people around me were skeptic about and asked why I chose to travel to India of all places -- it all began with superb Indian food offered in New York. We have Michelin starred restaurants to cozy, and affordable places like this. On my table: Lamb madras (heaven!) Lots of raita (I'm in love with it.) Lamb kabab over rice Vegetable Pakora (my favorite Indian street food, comparable to Ilocano ukoy) Chicken wings marinated Indian-style tandoori baked roti Mango lassi (not pictured) It's so delicious and transporting. Little kebab. station does it again. I ate here a few times before I was as much of a slut for Indian food as I am now and I remember enjoying it then but I really lost my shit after this most recent encounter. We got home late after a work trip and I can promise you I was not about to cook and clean up the aftermath. It has been a minute since I've had decent Indian food where I've been staying and this meal was long overdue. I've been trying and failing to eat on the lighter side so I was thrilled to see some of my favorite, healthier seeming options on their menu: saag paneer and yellow dal tadka with an order of naan to sop everything up. Firstly, I love that they have vegetarian and vegan options, the saag paneer could just be saag, for example. Secondly, everything arrived PIPING hot. Most importantly, everything was fucking delicious. I honestly couldn't tell you which I liked more. The saag wasn't too creamy so I didn't hate myself after eating it but it was still tasty AF and overflowing with paneer. The yellow dal tadka was a lil soupy but the flavor was spectacular. The naan, which I chose to be "topped" with seasonings like garlic and shit, was soft, warm, fluffy, and incredibly tasty. This meal was SO fucking good. While I was packing away the spoonful of leftovers in each container, I thought to myself, "I wish I could order this every day" lmao.

This place has really gone downhill. We went for lunch. It seems as though there has been no upkeep. The tables are not shabby chic-- just shabby. Scratched up and trashy. There's the old section next door, with paper over the windows and glaring light. A door is depressingly left open to reveal what looks like an abandoned building site adjacent to the dining area. I didn't see any Pardon Our Appearance sign. There's no chai. No tea of any kind. Just hot chocolate or coffee. That's just odd at an Indian restaurant. The cauliflower had a terrible texture, as if it had been premade and heated up. All three of us agreed that the sauce seemed to be from a jar, and that it tasted like sweet and sour sauce at a Chinese restaurant. Really bad. My son said his chicken tikka platter was ok. My husband ordered a lamb burrito type thing. He made no comment, which isn't a good sign. I've been here many times over the years. I'm not sure what's going on there with building work, or whatever, but I have no plans to go back. Too bad.

This was my first time at Little Kabab Station and I'm so pleased with our meal! We ordered take out and got tikka masala (veggie + chicken), wings, naan, and lasoni gobi. The gobi was sooo yummy and the flavor of the wings was unique. And the meat was really good. The man who cashed us out was very friendly and I enjoyed the decor in the quaint space! Will definitely return.

We decided to enjoy a quick lunch here, we had been here several years ago but usually frequent the Pleasantville location which is closer to our home. My husband ordered the chicken Tika Masala and I ordered the Malai Kabob. Both were hot, delicious and plentiful. They also brought over a delicious basket of Nan! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because the dining area was less than inviting.

Wow! This place! Walked in not expecting much and left in awe. Came here for lunch before going to work. The lady working the front was cool. The place is small but there is outdoor dining available. Ordered salmon kabobs which came with rice and salad. Great choice! They were juicy and tender and the rice that came with it was outstanding. Little salad came with it too. The only thing wrong with was I had to drive for about 30 minutes and the food wasn't as hot as it was initially. Next when I go, and I will go again, I'm gonna try and eat it there. Good meal and it was at a pretty decent price - the meal along with some naan was only $20.

I stopped in the other evening to grab a bite for dinner, to go. I ordered the Samosa chat appetizer, followed by chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and basmati rice. I absolutely loved the Samosa chat, it was creamy, with lots of Indian spices and textures, just delicious. My chicken tikka masala was excellent, really silky and flavorful. I think it was the most tender chicken I've ever had at any Indian restaurant. Just soft and perfect! I don't have any pictures this time, because unfortunately, I had to eat it in my car. And it was dark. But it was worth it! I will stop in next time during the day so I can take proper pictures.

These chain of restaurants are roach infested. Not only that their menu items are not updated. If your a person that holds cleanliness to a high regard do not dine here. Absolutely horrible 0/10

Love this place! Glad its still going strong.. wonderful authentic Indian cuisine, cute small cafe.. or feel free to do take out.

Ugh! Really sad to be posting this. The food has always tasted great here, HOWEVER, on our latest visit we had to stomp a huge roach on the way out. If we had seen it first, we may have turned around before sitting down and quite possible why someone else had walked in, then suddenly turned around and walked right out. Although still skeptical, we took our leftover home and found a baby roach in our bag so now as much as we love the food, don't think we'll come back anytime soon. Hope they clean up as it was a great little place for tasty food.

The food was good and it certainly filled me up. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and everything is good except that the chicken is a bit dry when you bite into it. Amazing food nonetheless!

For people who opt to dine in. This restaurant uses the next door restaurant (Little crepe street) to seat people. Maybe they have the same owner or some setup where they share the space. The food comes from next door and was just ok. Food was kind of cold when it arrived at our table. But my bigger concern is that the restaurant we were seated in was so dirty. The tables were sticky. We had to put napkins so our hands wouldn't stick. Even the floor was digusting. I find it difficult to comprehend that how can they have such a dirty restaurant where they cook food and where it is supposed to have the highest level of cleanliness. I cant imagine how dirty the kitchen must be if the outside seating area was so yucky. Definitely not coming back or ordering a take out!

Had a grilled cheese with bacon sandwich & fries there once it was ok. Not somewhere I would go on a regular.

Came home for the holidays and I was looking for some Indian food. The restaurant itself is more of takeout place than eat in (i.e., not very comfortable or large). However, the lunch special is a great deal and the food isn't bad either. I wouldn't say this is the greatest Indian I've ever had but it's good enough for the price. High VALUE here.

Bait and switch. Every menu and billboard said $11 for lunch and $4 for lassi. Bill comes and it $17 for lunch and $6 for lassi. Ask for todays price not menu price

Excellent meal here...sat outside rather than use the crepe restaurant next door. Flavors abound in Chat appetizer and a Frankie, though a bit greasy, also satisfied.

Food was okay. Ordered paneer roll- it was tasteless, no flavor at all. I had to ask for mint chutney to add flavor. Lassi tasted good as per menu price was $4 however I was charged $7. Even if the prices are increased they should be reflected in the menu. Pretty disappointed with the quality and price of the food.

meh ... chicken tikki masala was good but small portion. The goat cheese stuffed naan that everyone raves about was just bad, super dry and not flavorful, threw most of it out. The place itself is so small it's a joke, I thought people exaggerated when they said it was only two tables. The one table that was in there was eating off plastic plates with plastic utensils so I guess even if you go to eat there you get takeout treatment? My food wasn't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way, other similar food establishments (ex: Jewel of Himalayas) seem just as good to me so I don't know what all the rave is with this place.

Went here recently for the first time and the food was so tasty! Definitely worth the wait (was a little crowded, which is a good sign).

I must have gotten a bad batch of food because my experience doesn't mirror the rest of the people here. I was in the mood for some Indian food takeout for 2. My boyfriend and I proceeded to order the Lamb Vindaloo, Kalmi Kebab, and a plate of naan. The Kalmi Kebab was neither kebab nor chicken. It was the oddest plate we ever had. It was some sort of chicken patty but it tasted more like ground up, under cooked chickpeas than a chicken kebab dish. We swore we had received the wrong thing in the bag if we didn't know any better. The Lamb Vindaloo itself was good and the sauce was delicious. We particularly liked how tender the lamb meat was. The only thing that spoiled the meal was the small round black pepper pellets inside of it. There were a good amount of pepper pellets inside our sauce and each mouthful was uneven with explosions of spiciness. I wanted to really like the place given all the other good reviews here but I just couldn't.

Awful experience. Never again. Warning: Do not go at 9:30 on a Friday night, even though they close at 10pm. They do not want you there. REPEAT: They do not want you there. They will rush you and close the whole place around you while you're still eating, not just "finishing up" but right in the middle of your meal, which they KNOW you just received. They brought the food at 9:45 and soon dropped the bill and asked me to pay so they can close the register. They didn't ask if I wanted desert or anything else. Just dumped the check and asked for my money. They did this to the other parties too. Of course then, the teenage waiter kept coming to see if my money or card were there. I didn't have more than 5 minutes to enjoy my food before this whole charade started. Then, my card didn't work because their system was off line or something. They bothered me again for the card. I actually had to get up and go to the counter, again leaving my dinner behind. This time it worked, but my food was getting cold and I hadn't even finished half of it. The food is not inexpensive, by the way. And the portion of the main dish was smaller than I expected. And any chance of my enjoying this rather mediocre food was further marred by them asking me to pay and by them closing the place and LEAVING. Numerous employees were all fleeing the place while I was trying to eat. And it was just turning 10 o'clock. By 10:10 half of the staff and cooks were out the door. Fortunately, they didn't actually ask me to leave, because an employee was still there counting money and a server was doing some side work, but half the lights were shut and they were literally around me with their coats on getting ready to leave. What was so alarming is that not one of the staff even remotely imagined what I was experiencing as a person who came to their place to enjoy their food. This leads me to believe they have little pride in their product, thus signalling to me that the food must in fact not be so fresh and high quality. (It could very well be canned or boxed, partially. Could depend on what you get.) No high quality cooks or conscientious managers would ever allow a staff to completely ignore a customer for the sake of their selfish desire to just close and get the heck out of the place. Honesty, I'm not a slow eater, and I don't see why they couldn't all just allow the three or four parties to enjoy their meals without being rushed. What would 15 minutes more of their time have amounted to? Would it have killed them? Instead, now they have me using my valuable time writing a review to warn others. And they have a bad review as a result. Is it worth it? (My guess is they really don't care about what customers think.) A simple 10 or15 minutes more, as well as a "would you like some dessert or tea?" would have gone a long way. Instead I left feeling I wasted $20 and 30 minutes sitting in an extremely unfriendly, unwelcoming, stress-inducing environment. Advice: Don't have people come in at 9:30 and expect them to eat in 10 minutes before you start shutting down. Just advertise your hours as 9:30. Not 10. I literally left the cafe with a whole piece of paratha in hand, and no one cared or apologized. Most bizarrre restaurant experience I've had in a long time. Bottom line: Cold uncaring staff. (Teens are probably very nice, but they are controlled by their superiors) Mediocre food. (Channa Saag) And bad customer service, the way they didn't put themselves in a customer's place. But I see this is a common complaint in the reviews. And if you MUST go for whatever reason you are compelled to, do not even THINK of going during their final 45 minutes of open hours. You will be sorry.

By far the best Indian takeout for miles and miles. They're incredibly consistent and always delicious. The Madras, Kadai, and Briyani are the fan favorites in this household and we'd highly recommend their takeout to anyone.

Omg and in mount kisco. Small local restaurant and a perfect meal. I had the chicken koorma and, though mild, it still had a little kick that was perfect. I would eat here every day.

Great lunch spot. Food is tasty, and feels fresh , and very much safe (I'm a food safety nut) and the atmosphere is exceptionally casual and the portions are generous. Like to make it a lunch spot when I am in that town for work.

A little treasure. Delicious Bombay street food like you don't find in America outside of larger urban areas. Frankie rolls are really a delicious (late) breakfast. If you think McDonald's is tops in a quick breakfast (and you have my sympathy ), this will "blow your mind" as we said back in the day. Your tongue will say "thank you for finally waking up . You were killing me". Also an assortment of quite tasty more standard Indian dishes but each with a nice flair, some little culinary artistry that changes a lumpen proletariat of a dish into a bachata of flavors , a samba of spice. Could there be a secret Latina /Latino Lover in the Indian kitchen? Ah, America is a melting pot in your mouth! May it be ever so. This is simply put: This is Indian food at its best. It is NOT one of those places serving a ladled lump of overcooked something that leaves you feeling bloated and quite possibly poisoned. Oh, if you eat Indian food from time to time and place to place , you know exactly what I am talking about. Not this place! This food has SPARKLE! PIZZAZ! You leave saying, man was that GOOD!

Stopped by for lunch after a Sunday hike. We ordered the chicken tika wrap. It was a surprise hit. Wonderful and great flavors w onions and a green sauce. First time and we are converts and will be back.

I can't tell if this place is cheap or expensive. Granted walking in, i thought it was a cheap eats location, but when I started ordering and then I looked at the bill, it's like your average NYC indian restaurant prices. The food is yummy. You can see the cooks in the kitchen hard at work. The aromas wafting from the kitchen made my mouth salivate as I was awaiting my takeout order. The place is SMALL, so i recommend that you order food for carryout. The chili paneer was my least favorite dish. i felt the paneer can be creamier. The garlic naan and the chicken curry madras were top notch. I was hoping the madras would be spicier, but they left some hot peppers in there to bite into. YUMMO. They also give you a ton of rice with the curries. I still think there are better places, but they do have more expensive dishes. This place has decent food for the price points.

While the service and accommodation for our large group of 10 was wonderful, I could not have been more disappointed with the food. The lack of flavor in all of the dishes was unfortunate as they were pleasing to the eye but left much lacking to the pallet. We sampled everything and unfortunately beyond the lamb chops there was nothing particularly to any of our liking. In addition the shakes and lassis were way too sweet for anyone's liking. Such potential, but sadly fell terribly short.

Some really great food! It's connected with the crepe place which was so convenient for eating with my friends who didn't want Indian food. The goat cheese naan was mind blowing. Absolutely incredible. I had the lamb saag- could have been spicier for me but still great. Would absolutely recommend any time!

As you enter The Little Kebab Station, you will find a small, and cozy place filled with pictures of buses. Lunch specials are reasonably priced. $6 for vegetable dishes, $7 & $8 for chicken and lamb dishes respectively. I order the Chicken Tikka which came with on bed of rice. There was a side salad, and a basket of butter naan too. The food was warm, and each bite was light and refreshing. Unfortunately, the chicken was a little on the salty side. Overall, a great establishment.

I must admit, I critique Indian restaurants very harshly, and this restaurants was pretty awesome. I had a pleasant experience here, yet there are some pointers to acknowledge. First, they NEED to get a bigger place. Stepping in the place was difficult enough. Second, food portion needs to be bigger. I can count some things as unreasonably priced. Overall, do try the lamb chops, as they are delightful!

This place is a joke at this point. The managers are constantly switching and there's never anyone who's actually IN CHARGE. You ask a question, nobody has a direct answer. Need help, you're ignored. Bonnie is never on site,but responds on yelp. This isn't how you run a business. Every staff member should be able to answer any question about the menu without hesitation and I shouldn't have to wait for answers to simple questions. Love love love!! I love Indian food and this place is not only very cute location, the food is appealing to the eye and tastes amazing. The Chana masala is by far my favorite and I always make sure to order extra to have left overs the next day !!

Came here for a quick bite to eat and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and served with a just right portion. Everything tasted very fresh. My only complaint is that the space is a bit cramped, the tables are small if you have multiple orders and our server seemed a bit annoyed when we asked her to explain the setup of the menu. Other than that, food was good and I'll be visiting again.

We got takeout from here last night. It was delicious! The kebabs were still very tender, even after reheating. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the tri-state area.

Terrible food. I ordered Lamb Biryani and the guy packed lamb curry with rice. The bright orange heavily colored rice soaked in the curry with some lamb chunks was packed instead of Biryani. When I called the guy to check if my order was mistakenly packed with lamb curry and rice, the guy said that's how we prepare lamb biryani. Horrible food! Disgusting taste!

I realize that I'd forgotten to review this corner of the "Little" empire. Little Kabob station was the place that started it all. It's a small place with a number of interesting dishes. The problem here is the same problem plagues all of these establishments: Either incompetent, or downright nasty service. I used to come here pretty frequently (and also to Little Drunken Chef across the way) but the service finally became way too much tolerate. The incident in this case was that we asked for chai tea and the milk had been scalded - there were bits in it. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, the staff member (a girl who appeared to be of Indian descent with dyed blonde hair) asked me if I knew what it was supposed to taste like. I do in fact, know what Chai tea is supposed to taste like - and I've been drinking it likely longer than she has been on this earth. Ultimately, if you can stand the rude service and attitude, this place, like all the others, serves generally good food, if a bit pricey for what you get. Even if the food is yummy however, being treated disrespectfully leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. At some point you just have to stop coming. Be rude to me once? Shame on you. But if I let you be rude to me over and over and over, well..

If you just want some good Indian food, don't mind paper plates and tiny place, then this is the place for you. Beware if you need the bathroom though, and its raining. You have to go two doors down to use the bathroom in Crepe/Spice shop. Great prices, enjoyable food. Great for when you need a taste of Indian.

Pretty tasty but kind overpriced. Naan was burnt and hard -not fresh. Overall ok for the lack of anything better but I wouldn't drive out of my way to go there again.

Really tight and cozy. The sister shop is right next door (a crepe shop) and you can order from either menu while you're eating. There are a million choices on both menus so you're bound to find something you like. The Indian food was good - not really authentic but still really tasty. The portion sizes were sufficient as well. Samosa chaat and chicken tikka masala were on point. Their selection of crepes next door was awesome too and we tried the banana nutella - amazing! I make crepes at home a lot so I have high standards but these really were above and beyond my expectations. Service was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

We arrived here at 3pm and found a guy sleeping on a chair. Another had converted three chairs into a flat bed! We ran into the neighboring restaurant. Don't stay open if you can't remain presentable!

Sister restaurant to the crêperie, we also ordered some things from here. The goat cheese filled naan is yummy and the lamb kebab my bf ordered was really good. Not really authentic Indian food but the seasoning is quite good and delicious on its own.

I love the Madras Curry with Chicken and the kabobs. I will definitely be returning.
