Google
An absolute gem for a delightful lunch experience. The ambience was splendid, accompanied by soothing jazz that created a serene environment away from the outside bustle. Opting for some strong and flavorful green tea, I savored a delectable variety of rolls including California, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and Philly, complemented by a side of impeccably prepared sushi rice. The rolls struck the perfect balance between rice and filling, boasting fresh, expertly seasoned fish. Additionally, the comforting warmth and rich flavor of the miso soup added to the overall satisfaction. This wonderful spot is undoubtedly on my revisit list. Thank you for a memorable meal!

Google
Great service & quality of food. Got the today special. Otoro, Uni, Negitoro Maki and seared Salmon Belly. My new local spot!

Haley Yoon

Google
I really liked their Ahi tower. It tasted a little different than the other places in a good way; very fresh! But my favorite was the Uni(Sea urchin) nigiri. All of their dishes were high-quality and even the desserts were perfect. Great place to enjoy your date night✨

Google
Service fast, friendly. Nice atmosphere. But food lacking in seasoning, spices, flavor. Bento boxes look nice, but tempura battered shrimp and vegetables are lacking basic seasoning. The spicy chicken bento to over seasoned with dry spice. Miso soup just flavorless broth. Sizzling dumpling appetizer looked good. But over cooked, dry. Not a good texture. Need to work on items here.

Google
Food was okay. Spicy salmon roll was solid. Katana 101 roll was mediocre for $18…. Same thing with the yakisoba, chicken was very dry and the veggies tasted like frozen veggies. Service was good and pretty quick. We were the only table inside at that time.

Google
This is so nice. I am in Dallas wanted something light. I had Alaskan roll (delicious and so affordable), my lotus martini, so good and to top off my lunch mango cheesecake made in house. The house salad was also delicious, nice and fresh. Jazz is nice and great for quiet , savory lunch.

kevin K,

Google
This is a must ! Amazing food and drinks ! The service is some of the best I have ever experienced and I travel all the time. Sit at the bar and ask for Shiwei !!!

Montse Guerrero Reyes

Google
Food is 10/10 out of ten my server was a little distracted so the guys of the bar took my order but they were fast, gentle and very nice!

Yelp
Great spot on Knox for affordable sushi, great sized portion, a full bar, and delicious sake. The sushi roll specials are always my go to with an appetizer of edamame and house salad:) great service, get a reservation, also has a nice little patio on the street! Recommend: Fire roll for spicy tuna lovers, white dragon roll for yellowtail lovers, & katana 101 roll for salmon lovers

Yelp
I was very excited going into my experience at Little Katana and I am sad to say it was a bit of a let down. Overall our server was great, he gave great recommendations and we were there for a birthday so he made sure it was a special occasion for the group. Our choice of Little Katana was a pretty spontaneous decision and they were able to seat us fairly quickly which was greatly appreciated. The ambiance is as you would expect as you walk past Little Katana on Knox. Nothing too special but nothing bad either. My main issue was with the food and drinks. The food itself was delish but the portion sizes were quite disappointing. My group of three ordered an appetizer to share and 3 separate entrees and we still walked out pretty hungry. In addition, we also ordered drinks and for the price they did not taste well made at all. Our group is usually really not picky with drinks but no one who ordered even got halfway through.

Maggie L.

Yelp
very good lunch. Stephen took great care of us as always. He always remembers what wine I like.

Shivani M.

Yelp
Stopped by here to grab a quick snack. We got the avocado egg rolls which were very tasty with the sauce it came with. Also tried the yakisoba noodles which were also flavorful. Overall kind of pricey and decent food. It's a good lunch spot for sure.

Yelp
Had dinner at this gem of a Sushi restaurant in Dallas. The service was great and the sushi was impeccable, fresh and well prepared. For a Monday night the restaurant was quite busy so I would recommend reservations. All in all I highly recommend this sushi restaurant

Caroline A.

Yelp
Came here for the first time during lunch and was recommended the seafood stone bowl, because it was the best thing. I didn't think twice I ordered it and never looked back since. The seafood stone bowl is so good, the best part is the crispy rice at the bottom of the bowl. They mix it right in front of you, which is a nice touch, it's so good. The little katana roll is also my favorite, I actually order both when I go. It's a lot of food but I can handle it. Ha. I highly recommend this place and tell them I sent you because they know me . The ambience and service is always great. I've never had a problem.

Franki H.

Yelp
Small busy restaurant in Knox Henderson. We had to wait 10ish minutes to be seated but we were a walk in on a week night. Sushi was good but pricy. We started with the dumplings as an appetizer; I really enjoyed the sweet chili dipping sauce. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, and the Dragon roll. The Dragon roll was the most impressive one in terms of presentation and flavor.

Regiano M.

Yelp
Little katana is the greatest sushi restaurant I've been to not just in Dallas, but maybe anywhere, where the quality of the sushi is 5 star and the pricing is reasonable. I don't know how they do it but every time the sushi comes out, it's like they just caught it out of the ocean in the back of the kitchen. Can't recommend it enough!

Stan P.

Yelp
wow i just ordered this for delivery. the delivery took a while but that was downtown traffic. the two rolls i ordered the white dragon roll and the special dragon roll, are excellent!! you can taste the freshness i'm only visiting dallas but this place makes me sorry i won't be around more

Cris W.

Yelp
Food is phenomenal The hot pot my favorite Will go for this over and over again Service is friendly

Megha C.

Yelp
I used to like little katana, but the last time I went my friend found a whole piece of plastic in her udon noodles. We won't be going back..

Steven M.

Yelp
Was here for a date night and was very pleased with the food and the service. The cocktails were good: saki martini. Atmosphere was laid back and it was easy to hear. The mama roll and the maguro were off the charts good. I would recommend this place any time.

Josh P.

Yelp
We came up on this sushi place with a Google search.I am so glad we did this place is amazing. As you walk in you are greeted with a nice welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is a small place which feels cozy in a way in my opinion. They have a full bar and the staff is great and friendly. I had the the crunchy fried crab roll and it was delicious the presentation was interesting was served in a martini looking glass. It was so good. The next item I had was the snow mountain roll this was worth the 20 bucks it was so full of flavor. I highly recommend this item. For desert we had mochi which was delicious. Strawberry and mango flavor were good the green tea was not my favorite it was good though. Overall I am so glad that we came to this place and we took the chance. So if you are in the Knox Henderson area and craving Japanese sushi and rolls give them a try.

Yelp
Interior: Simple decors and there's a digital tablet by the entrance that takes your temperature. Food: I ordered the Singapore style Seafood Noodles and truthfully I don't think it's worth $20! It was super sweet and was not impressive. My friends also agreed that their food was okay but definitely not worth the amount they paid either. The sushi they got were in small pieces, tasted mediocre, but their total came out around $45. Service: The water refiller guy was on point! He was always fast in refilling our water. The person that took our order forgot one order of Spicy Mayo on the side. It was requested twice when we ordered but never came out. Overall experience: It was not the best and there's a lot of room for improvement. When I see high prices, I expect the food to be worth it and the service to be really good. We did not get any recommendations and no one asked if we needed help ordering. I hope they can improve on some of these simple things so they can grow from it.

Yelp
A modern and elegant sushi bar in Las Colinas! The place was super clean and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The waitress and staff were very attentive (filling waiter, closing blinds, etc). And they have a very generous lunch menu, which I love! The miso soup came out first, and it was deliciously salty and savory. The bento box looked beautiful! The bulgogi wasn't too sweet, which I appreciated. I at first was going to go with rice vs. the wasabi mashed potatoes, but thankfully the waitress convinced me to get it. It was amazing! The tempura shrimp and veggies was also light, crunchy, and delicious.

Troy H.

Yelp
It was good. The potstickers are very tasty. This isn't my palette of food 50 coconuts

Laura H.

Yelp
we love coming here! It's in a great neighborhood. They offer indoor & outdoor seating! Service is always really good & they're really attentive to there guest. Food is always a 10/10! It's a little small inside & tables are kinda close together so just be weary of that!

Mindy L.

Yelp
Oh wow! We just ordered take out from here after a friend suggested it. We were nervous because the ratings were not very good. We thought word of mouth was more important. Boy were we wrong!! We ordered one tuna tower and one salmon tower. We received two boxes about half and inch tall and four inches by maybe three and a half inches. In it was a small scoop of rice, about two tablespoons, three tablespoons of crab, and a tablespoon of fish. This is such a scam!!! Each of these were $16?! What a rip off!! Perhaps if we went in to the restaurant it would be a normal size but this is crazy!! Go to Nick and Sams for a tuna tower that actually will include fish. And the avocado was bitter. Not ripe. Still had shell. The quality of the fish was superb. I will give them that!! The roe was fresh and delicious.

Alvin J.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Uptown. The food is always fresh and who doesn't like to go to a place where they know your name. The staff has been consistent, extremely nice and pleasant along with always recommending some of the daily or weekly specials. I love trying their new sushi put-togethers. Awesome spot!!

Kristin G.

Yelp
I have been craving sushi, and live just around the corner from this place, so I decided to walk over and get a bite. I hadn't been in for awhile, and was pleasantly greeted at the door. I decided to sit at the bar, and have a relaxing meal. I decided on the miso soup and salmon tower. The soup was hot and delicious. The salmon tower had the best flavor and everything was fresh. My server, I apologize for forgetting her name, she was AMAZING! If I could give 10 stars for service, she'd get them. She was very personable, kind, attentive and fun to chat with. I'll definitely be back for the atmosphere, food and service!

Shunta R.

Yelp
Very nice place. Out waiter Stephen was very, very knowledgeable, attentive, had excellent suggestions and was all around awesome!! Food was great! 10 out of 10, does recommend!! We will be returning!!

Grace W.

Yelp
I always enjoy going to Little Katana because it's consistent. Their White Dragon roll is very tasty along with the hot stone bowl.

Lelin S.

Yelp
very good food and very nice location in knox district. i definitely recommend!! ordered the dumpings and udon noodles as i don't like sushi. very nice

Mike G.

Yelp
Ut was okay, not as good as I wanted it to be, but good enough. We had some small plates & rolls. The service was on point & Steven was very knowledgeable about the offering & kept us taken care of without being intrusive. Good enough & def worth check9ng it out.

Ben R.

Yelp
Hot stone bowl with chicken and rice is top shelf Sushi is good too! Decent vibe, they typically have a game on the tv. Very big fan of this place.

Candis H.

Yelp
Located in a good and walkable part of town. The sushi tasted good but really overpriced, besides a basic roll, the special rolls are all about $18+. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Attire is pretty casual and laidback. This was a quick and fast place to go. Like I said, the sushi taste good but overpriced for the specialty rolls.

Joshua E.

Yelp
First time customer visiting. Terrible service from Slyvie. She was rude and not courteous. It's sad to see a manager hire someone like that. Two items were wrong and or not cooked right, they refused to remove off the bill. She was rushed and wouldn't give us more than a second at the table, walking away while we're mid sentence. Restaurant was empty. We have 3 kids. She said owners seemed not to care. Will never eat here again.

Reagan B.

Yelp
Who would of thought that a unassuming Sushi restaurant next to a Trader Joe's would be the best sushi I've ever had!! Seriously it's incredible. It taste like they just caught it out of the ocean they have back in the kitchen. I've been to some of the most high end Sushi Restaurants in the world like Nobu's in Aspen, Malibu etc. and this to my taste buds is better. No joke!! Obviously way better priced as well. GO

Shannon W.

Yelp
This place is super fun and the sushi is great for Dallas. Go with their special rolls as opposed to the basic ones and order lots of sake.

Carson S.

Yelp
Little Katana is a reliable place to go in the area for sushi. They rarely have a wait which is nice. The service is only okay.

Dee V.

Yelp
2 stars because the drinks and food were good even though it was massively overpriced ... but I'm sure the people in that part of town rarely leave it to find out what's outside of their bubble. Negative 3 stars because the atmosphere was horrible. Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt unwelcome? Staff ... patrons... management ... everyone. I couldn't believe it. I came with 2 other women at first and it just seemed like they didn't want to seat us for 4 until the 4th arrived. Lots of open tables outside but whatever. We walked the area and went to RH House for a bit. I suggest go there. We were there for 10 minutes and the vibe was much better. Anyhow ... we got our 4th and was seated outside. Still being stared at by others eating. It took 20 minutes to get straws. 40 minutes for food to arrive once ordered. The waiter, I feel, did the best he could. He was possibly overwhelmed so I left a good tip. But the manager came straight for our table because someone didn't like their drink and asked for another. Really? The manager was aggressive and loud ... all over a drink. 1 drink. My friend explained that she ordered a different one already ... I guess the manager didn't get the memo so she promptly walked away after that. No, my friend never got the drink. Overall ... if you want to feel like a side show attraction because you don't look like you live in the area, definitely go there. I won't be going back and will take my Press pass elsewhere to write my food column.

Yosef M.

Yelp
Great sushi place in Dallas TX ! High quality of food. The only thing that I think should be improved is the presentation of the the dishes (And they forgot to bring us the spicy mayo :) Overall it's a nice place if you like a good sushi.

Grace P.

Yelp
FRESHEST SUSHI YOU'LL FIND! since it's a smaller place, you may have to wait for a table but it's so worth it! the sushi, the stone bowls, the apps, the list could go on -- so delicious. service is great and the workers are so friendly! would be a 5/5 if there was a better system of waiting for your table .. you get on a list and have to stand in a small space and wait with everyone else -- a little too crammed for my liking but totally worth it!

CF E.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a whim for some sushi. We sat outside which was enjoyable. We ordered the Edamame which was good as well as the Little Star lunch combo. The Sashimi was very fresh and delicious. The Tempura roll was very good as well. The service was great and the lunch prices are very reasonable.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Ambience: 3 Food: 3 Service: 4 Value: 2 It was a pleasant time here Friday night. Not fond of the darkness at this new location. If I had known better, I would have been seated out at their patio. The service was friendly. One huge disappointment is that after we had ordered, all our dishes came to our table one on top of the other, awful that is. As for our dinner: 1) Grilled Octopus: chewy; 2) Toro: fresh tasting, yet bit into a piece of plastic wrap; 3) Udon: well cooked; 4) Miso Glazed Sea Bass: fish perfectly cooked, bland presentation. Waited I had for something special, and finally the wow moment came with their "Mango Cheesecake", beautifully presented and delicious! Oh yeah, nice it is to end on a sweet note of an otherwise non-memorable dinner. Cheers!

Shannon P.

Yelp
Amazing food. Excellent quality. Comparable to Blue Fish in both taste and price. I would definitely go back.

Amanda F.

Yelp
Amazing Japanese with great food. Fish is top quality, really fresh and great selection

Michelle G.

Yelp
Small restaurant near Knox, but delicious food and drinks! The stone fried rice is such a great dish in the cold weather, and their sushi is very flavorful.

Monika P.

Yelp
Deliciousness! Sashimi was fresh, thick cut, and comes in 4 pieces per order! We got the tuna, albacore, smoked salmon and uni. The uni is my favorite with a very light, clean, and sweet taste! Will definitely go back when I crave uni! We had our usual rolls the spider and the rainbow. Both were really good! The preparation is clean. The service is good. We had no wait time because we went straight to the bar! Really happy we found a new sushi spot!

Mia C.

Yelp
We stopped by for their delicious Happy Hour offerings and now we're looking forward to going back for entrees and other menu items. We arrived promptly at 5pm. The restaurant was clean, well-staffed, and quick to serve. The server gave us a review of the Happy Hour menu and we got our drinks quickly. Here's what we ordered: edamame baby octopus Katana combo sampler fried portabello spicy tuna roll spicy salmon roll The food arrived fast and was fresh. The Katana sampler was a great choice as it had a little bit of everything- fresh tuna, dumplings, calamari, and steak. It was served with a sweet chili sauce and a plum sauce. The calamari was well seasoned and cooked perfectly- not too crispy and not soggy. I didn't eat the baby octopus but my boyfriend enjoyed the skewers with the shishito peppers in between each octopi. The fried portabello was seasoned well and crispy. Served piping hot. When we try a new sushi place, the spicy tuna and salmon rolls are how we gauge the overall quality of the sushi. It's simple and most places offer it, so this is our initial go-to. The sushi held its shape, wasn't skimpy on the fish, and was overall very tasty. The service we received was friendly, accurate, prompt, and thorough. Thanks Adrian, Melanie, and the rest of the staff! The aesthetics of the restaurant are minimal but very nice. If you're in the area, try this place- you won't regret it! Tip: park in the parking garage. the street parking fills up quickly.

Doug C.

Yelp
Second time we ordered food out from this place. Both times it was dreadful. The first time we ordered a spicy tuna roll that was comprised of a few very fishy tasting pieces of tuna and lot of overcooked (dry and crunchy) rice. We tried to give them another chance and the second time we ordered it was 5 pm, right when they opened. We ordered gyoza and when we got them it was patently obviously that they were leftovers from the night before (of maybe even the night before that!). They were completely dried out (looked like large wrinkled prunes, but brown) and flavorless. The other dish was salmon over rice and the salmon was inedible. Horrible fishy taste. Never again!

Izzy K.

Yelp
Best sushi in Dallas. Ahi Tuna Tower, Sizziling Dumplings and Hot Stone Bowl are a must.

Berri A.

Yelp
Hello fellow Yelpers and Yelpetts! I started going Katana when it was next door to Sur La Table. My better half and I went to the old location and were heartbroken they were gone. Fortunately they moved over to Cole Avenue. Wahoo! Anything and I mean everything I have blessed my palette with here is heavenly. I have the Sunomono with fresh jalapenos. (Suggestion, get i with smelt roe for extra umph!) Their rolls are perfect for sharing from two people to three. Parking is better here since there is a parking garage right by for free. A site note,..if you have a large truck you may try for a parking spot on the street. Parking can be rather tight in the garage. Sit at the sushi bar for the one on one service and to watch the showmanship of the sushi chefs. For those of you squeamish about "SUSHI" they have a full menu of other fine offerings. Thought for management, please bring back the tip jar for the sushi chefs. Happy Yelp adventures. Peace Out!

Jess ..

Yelp
Don't waste your time here, this place has bad service, there was only two tables with multiple serves. Our server took forever to get to us and when he did he kept walking away not giving us a chance to speak. We repeated asked him for sauce and he pretended like he didn't hear us being right next to us , nog once did he come check on us or refill our drinks . Now the food we order the rice bowl . Our rice was burned and the chicken had no flavor whatsoever. If I could I would give it 0 stars. This place made us not feel welcome at all.

Yuki I.

Yelp
An Asian Fusion place in Knox-Henderson. It's not bad, but definitely not my favorite. Pros: Fast service - we were seated at the sushi bar, and the sushi was served in a timely manner. Cons: Pricy menu with mediocre sushi. We waited ~30 minutes to be seated, as it was a busy evening. PS - Parking is tough in this area, as it is mainly street parking! So give yourself some extra time to find parking!

Tandis E.

Yelp
Clearly told them no sesame seeds and there were seeds in my order. Had an allergic reaction and the store did little to alleviate the issue. Do not eat here if you have dietary restrictions. Used to eat here all the time and now I will never return. Very disappointed.

Kim S.

Yelp
Delicious sushi. Wonderful cocktails. Great location. Mediocre service....and I'm really cool about service having been a server....trust me... it's hit or miss on good service and generally a "miss". So frustrating because the menu and food is delightful.

Ricardo G.

Yelp
I frequent this place once or twice a week, because I work across the street in the high rise office building. Literally standing outside because the manager wouldn't let us wait for our order inside, even with wearing a mask. Mind you, the second week of covid, no one was coming here and my coworker and I gave the owner free advise about how to keep their place open and provided insight to the state guidelines on liquor sales with third party. Either they're legit assholes to us, when we kept their business going, or they're just being idiots about kicking people out who are placing to go orders, while they have a full restaurant of people eating who aren't practicing social distancing. Nothing to add besides the fact that we practiced social distancing and wore mask only to be told to go outside and wait for our food. Horrible customer service and we're telling the entire office to not come back here at all. We'll just travel five minutes to Steel Sushi were they know how to treat customers.

Kourtni R.

Yelp
Great sushi spot!!! It was delicious and certain wine bottles are half off on Wednesdays. The hot bowl was delicious and the server suggested we put some soy sauce in it which was a great recommendation. The angel roll was one of the best rolls I've had in dallas.

Erin V.

Yelp
Sushi was pretty good and affordable. Their hot house sake was enjoyable. The hot stone bowels seemed to be a hit among other patrons but we didn't try one. Next time.
