Front of house is the nicest, friendliest person ever 💞 absolutely adore her.
Some minor kinks with the order (some mix ups, quickly rectified).
The rest of the staff are also lovely.
The food is actually really interesting and pretty delicious. The hot sauce (actually dips) selection is an awesome idea and it’s great they’re maintaining the traditional flavours and recipes.
The drinks are pretty expensive, but that’s prevalent across most of Laos. We ordered a lot but it was over $30 a person which is a lot for Luang Prabang ~
Came a second time on our last day in LP and honestly I’d recommend this place to anyone as a great introduction to the Laotian way of eating. Get a few Jeow, something in banana leaf and some stick rice.
It’s a non-intimidating way to see what real local food is like (not pad Thai, som tam, khao soy).
There were other places we actually preferred the Joew but in terms of breadth of choice and presentation Little Lao is unbeatable.
Service still needs a bit of work, there was coriander sprinkled on top when we asked for no coriander and a coffee appeared when we didn’t order one. BUT they are very polite and cute.
