Little Lao Culture Bar

If you are looking for the soul food of Luang Prabang and you are tired of the night market and fusion restaurants- come to Little Lao. Whether you are here for the midday calm or the low lit ambience after dark, you will not regret your decision. ​The Standouts: ​River Weed (Khai Pen): The ultimate bar snack. Thin, crisp, and salty which pairs perfectly with a beer. ​Lao Sausage (Sai Oua): A coarse, fatty, lemongrass-heavy masterpiece booming with flavor. ​Kali Gai: This chicken curry is the closer. A rich, golden pool of coconut and spice that is good enough to drink.

Excellent Laos cuisine elevated a bit. We ate here twice and both times the flavors were very good. The highlight was the Luang Prabang Salad and the Jeow. The soups were not as hot as one is used to, nice spot and also have some pretty excellent, different, drinks to choose from.

Friendly customers, most of them can speak fluent english, the menu are diverse but not really authentic laos. Still taste good tho, their are a lot of vietnamese dishes like bánh cuốn trứng, phở, bánh xèo, bún bò huế, the drinks are fantastic, everything is clean especially the toilet, the decor are also very creative, the atmosphere remind me of mediterranean bar. The only downside of this restaurant is that the food are expensive

This was our favourite restaurant/ bar in Luang Prabang, and we dined there twice during our stay (beginning and end). The manager remembered us when we returned and gave us complimentary dessert plus a tour of their yet-to-open craft shop next door. They have an interesting cocktail list, and the dishes combine traditional cooking with contemporary elements, which makes them more refined than other local eateries down the road. Our only complaint was that the dining room is a bit too dark for our liking, so we chose to sit outside during our second visit. This is a must for travellers wanting to try contemporary Laotian food in Luang Prabang.

I enjoyed the food so much I came back twice!! Authentic homely lao food. The eggplant and tomato dip and sticky rice was bomb! The nem khao was crispy and perfectly made and the noodle dish with red curry was so heartfully made. I miss the food here already!!! Would eat it again and again.

If you only had the chance to visit one restaurant in Luang Prabang, I‘d send you to this one. We‘ve visited several times and every dish we tried was pretty much perfect, same goes for the drinks! Our favourite was Nem Kao. It is more expensive than other restaurants but absolutely worth the price. Service staff is nice and explains how to eat the dishes, if you‘re unfamiliar with Lao food. If you‘re sensitive to music / loud sound, I‘d recommend sitting on the porch, as the music was rather loud inside.

Fantastic experience for dinner on a Sunday night with soft traditional live music. Insanely tasty food & great atmosphere sitting on the outside patio. It was so nice, that we went again the next day for coffee & snacks. Turns out, the coffee is fantastic as well! Try these dishes: Nam Khao (!), chicken soup, mok nor mai, mok pla

Amazing would be an understatement! We went there twice during our stay in LP because we couldn’t get enough. Top notch drinks, service and their dishes were freshly prepared and cooked. The special sauces on their menu were such a highlight. We ate a lot of their fish and chicken dishes. I would go there again in a heart beat. 10/10
