My friend and I were on our way to Shell and bones when we happen to see this cute little place that was open and decided to stop in instead of going to Shell and bones. And boy were we happy that we came to Little Lotus. The food is spectacular. We both had the Omakase and shared a crabcake. Every piece of sushi was delicately cared for and tasted amazing. The drinks were also delicious. We love the atmosphere and we loved the workers and especially the general manager Manny. We will absolutely be back, I think this is our new favorite dinner spot!

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Little Lotus with their 14-course omakase. The balance of delicate sushi courses with the warm dishes was outstanding — every bite felt thoughtfully composed and showcased both freshness and creativity. Manager Manny went above and beyond to make the evening welcoming. His knowledge and genuine friendliness really elevated the dining experience. Chefs Jay and Tim demonstrated remarkable skill and professionalism throughout the meal — each course was executed with precision and artistry that reflected true mastery of their craft. Little Lotus is a gem in Connecticut, and I’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable omakase experience that delivers both quality and warmth for such a good price.

This place has a super fun menu and very lovely staff. Shoutout to Manny for the laughs and insights about the meal. I eat a ton of omakase and this team has a unique spin with what we jokingly called ‘New England’ Omakase. They mix warm dishes into the menu, which added fun and play — just like the staff. We highly recommend you give it a try. Can’t wait to come back and see Manny and the team. (Great sake selection/suggestions too).

Make a reservation before you go. Enjoy the atmosphere of being down by the water at the marina for your date night. Parking is reserved with cones, so call when you arrive so you can park. Seating can be inside or out. We started with a bottle of sake to start the night. Ordered some enjoyable bits and bites that were works of art to eat. Next we ordered miso soup with a beautiful broth. 12 course Omakase was next and ended with cake. Staff were informative and helpful to make decisions on what to enjoy for drinks and food.

An outstanding Omakase experience. Elegant setting, attentive and warm service, with the freshest ingredients in every dish. The seaside harbor view made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful experience at the Little Lotus on our first visit! From the upscale vibe to the attentive and friendly staff, we were super impressed at this new addition to City Point and will definitely be back soon. Chef Larry has crafted an amazing menu (alongside Chefs Russell, David and Alex), the highlight of which was the Chef’s table Omakase tasting menu. Our 14-course tasting was a treat for the senses, visually stunning in every way (see pictures below), prepare for a rollercoaster ride of delicious flavors that will delight your tastebuds. The drinks equally unique and exceptional - the highlights including a Japanese whisky old fashioned, sensational Pinot Grigio and a twist on a pistachio martini that’s off the charts. Don’t walk - run - to try this one-of-a kind restaurant that is quickly becoming a must-visit destination in New Haven.

It was very enjoyable to go to Little Lotus, in New Haven, by the water!! As frequent visitors of its 'older sibling' restaurant, Red Lotus in Shelton, my Dad and I were excited to try it. Little Lotus proved to be a great experience!! The corn edamame, the mixed green salad, and the miso soup, were great starters. We went on to enjoy spicy salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sushi rolls, as well as the Little Lotus Roll (lobster, shrimp & crabmeat). All was fresh and fantastic!! The terrific dessert, a matcha crepe cake, was very unique, and tasty! Tin and Jan were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I have a food allergy, and felt assured that anything I had would be safe. The only thing missing was getting to see Larry and his lovely wife, so I would like to extend a special hello & thank you, too. If you love great food and service, be sure you make a plan to go to Little Lotus as soon as possible🪷 ❤️

Great addition to the sushi scene in the shoreline! The presentation was beautiful, the fish fresh and the food plentiful. Oh so very delish!! Asian inspired cocktails were well balanced. Sake list was a little short, but what they had was also top notch. The setting and decor with clean lines and modern decor was quite the chill vibe. Top that off with welcoming, friendly and helpful staff and it all makes for an amazing night. Thank you little lotus!
