This Dish Tells the Story of How COVID-19 Broke the Food System | Bon Appétit

"A grower of cider apples including Airlie Reds (a red-interior variety), the co-owner Rachel Ashley feared she wouldn’t be able to sell much of the harvest but has been able to move some fruit while planning to turn unsold apples into juice." - ByPriya Krishna

Very nice place for paddlers. Goes through lots of farm land, so nothing but nature. Only downside is trying to get to it(or upside, you won't see many people) . Most access are steep and narrow, and not much parking.

This is a small little state park that isn't well known, which means it isn't usually packed with people. Making it a great place to visit especially on a hot summer day. There are lots of large trees that provide shade over various picnic tables, and grassy, open areas if you prefer to eat out on a blanket in the sun. There are restrooms available and the Luckiamute River runs along the North and Northwest boundary of the park. There are a couple of paths down to the river. It's been a few years since I've been there, but one of them did lead to a sandy type area that is fairly shallow and nice for younger kids

Beautiful place, good for cooling off on hot summer days. There's not many places to swim, but wading is possible as the water is very peaceful.
