This place has a great atmosphere where freedom and relaxation come first. It’s perfect for hanging out with a group, and if you're lucky, you might catch some live music—like we did during our visit! The vibe is cozy, and the prices are pretty reasonable. The only downside was a mix-up with my pizza order, and while the one I received was okay, it could have been cooked a little more. However, the coffee was great, and the service was decent, though I expected my full order to arrive a bit faster. Overall, it’s a nice spot, especially if you enjoy a laid-back setting with live music!

Google
The girl on staff today was incredibly helpful and patient; very much appreciated the guidance as we were navigating the menus. Excellent setting for an early morning coffee on a hot summer day. Loved the outdoor setting an more intimate atmosphere. Will come back.

Google
Quaint outdoor seating. Even in the rain! Too much sugar in the matcha tho. They should use pure matcha powder instead of the premixed one where you have no option to not have extra sugar. Great staff.

Mark S.

Google
Don't go here if you need your food fast, but a really cute spot

Peregrine S.

Google
Cute cafe with lots of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options! Service was quick, food was good! Drinks were fabulous! I recommend for a morning bite to eat with coffee.

Rachel Worley M.

Google
Adorable little cafe with delicious coffee and lots of vegan options!

Google
What a great little find! Yummy sandwiches & pastries. Fresh brewed iced tea. Extremely courteous staff. The courtyard and garden area is inviting. Plenty of seating. Sometimes there is live acoustical music on the weekends. I go there often with my friends, fam, & grandkids Working fire pit in the winter- delish hot chocolate. We all enjoy the seasonal decorations throughout the year. just such an inviting atmosphere- right off the Tiber. Great little place to stop after shopping in Old Ellicott City.

Google
We really like coming here for breakfast. Fun little outdoor cafe. Would go a long way if the staff could wipe off the tables and chairs in the mornings though. It’s in a shady spot and everything is always soaking wet if we get there before 10-11 am.

Yelp
This is essentially just a stand tucked away from Main St in this mini park area with a parking lot where they have special events like concert staging for Springfest, etc. It's technically behind Old Columbia Pike. My girlfriend & I were here for Mardi Gras on Saturday, March 1. We had lunch, wine tasting, listened to music, looked in shops, & went to the Historical museum. In between some of that, she mentioned Little Market Cafe was giving out King Cake donuts at least to kids for free. I said that sounded good even if they charge us. There was a long line outside; so this place is clearly pretty popular. We ordered 2 donuts & split a latte. The cashier was very nice and answered which lattes he recommended. The King cake donut was delicious, and the latte was top notch in deliciousness too. We sat outside on that mild, windy March 1st. They have plenty of outdoor seats & seating around a fire pit area too. Great business, but I imagine they struggle in the winter with the outdoor only. If I'm ever in Old Town Ellicott City, I'd definitely keep Little Market Cafe in mind.

Yelp
In town to visit a friend and decided to take the kiddo to the train museum and grab a quick bite and head back to Jersey. Cute little cafe with outdoor seatings only which is cute but not ideal on a hot a humid day. They ran out a few things on the menu (lemonade, pea salad etc). The food is pretty small portion but pretty good. Would probably enjoyed more if it wasn't that hot today or if they have indoor seatings

Yelp
False advertising with the food pictures. I got what I thought was two lobster rolls--because that's what was in the picture--and it turned out to be one. Food is not as appears in the pictures across the board. Average quality, especially for the high prices. Cute ambiance of outdoor seating but I wish the food wasn't in to-go containers.

Yelp
Perfect place for coffee next to parking lot D. Start or finish your day with some good coffee drinks. Very nice service with almond and oat milk options.

Yelp
This review is based on one item and its cost* So everyone is suffering in a heat wave right now and I thought it would be refreshing to grab a "fresh squeezed lemonade" from Little Market Cafe. There was only one size option - 24oz - a little bigger than what I'd prefer, but ok, not a problem. The cost was a WHOPPING $6 plus tax!!! I thought to myself, "this better be some damn good lemonade!" Well, it. was. not. It was basically lemon water. I paid over 6 bucks for basically the same thing I get for free at every restaurant I eat. The service was fine - person who took my order was pleasant and professional. Person who delivered my drink wouldn't make eye contact with me or acknowledge my "thank you" - but whatevs. So look - all I'm saying is that if you like actual lemonade and stop by here, save yourself a small fortune (and a bout of disappointment) and grab something else to drink!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by Little Market Cafe in Old Ellicott City a few weeks ago. The food was so so (we had bagels with different fixings but they offer quite a large menu of breakfast sandwiches), but I appreciated their large coffee menu. I had a large iced americano because it was a hot hot day. The service was good (a short wait to order on a weekend day), but the four stars are really for ambiance and location! Where else can you enjoy a coffee while sitting outside overlooking the body of what that runs through charming Old Ellicott City (by the way - is this a creek? a tributary of the Tiber? a tributary of the Patapsco? I looked at a map but couldn't figure it out)? It reminded me of places I used to frequent in Austin where you can enjoy a meal or a beer overlooking Shoal Creek. It's a really peaceful place and I'd happily return.

Yelp
Disappointed in the small amount of sandwich contents. We love this cute outdoor restaurant! Our 3 sandwich order came out on time and was accurate. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not the stuffed delights we have come to expect since the Gordon Ramsey makeover, and did not satisfy our appetites as we are used to. Ingredients are all good quality and taste, please stuff them to make a filling lunch and experience!

Yelp
I visited Little Market Cafe after running with Plant Powered Athlete Baltimore and had a great breakfast! Little Market Cafe is bustling on the weekend and has a pretty long line consistently through the breakfast hours. The line did move pretty quickly. The food comes out much faster than the coffee drinks. I finished my bagel sandwich before my latte was done being made. I wish that timing was better but they were so slammed with business that the timing was understandable. Little Market has the cutest patio to enjoy breakfast at. I absolutely loved the spirally of flowers and available shade while eating outdoors. They also have a map of nearby bathrooms to use which was very thoughtful and useful. I loved both my vegan breakfast sandwiches. One was the Humane Leaguer and the other was 7 Hills Road. If I were to only order 1 again it would be the Humane Leaguer. I really loved the healthy dose of spinach, the creamy Chipotle Mayo, and the impossible sausage. All these flavors were savory and the spinach helped lighten how heavy that sausage patty is. The 7 Hills Road sandwich was also delicious. For me the vegan bacon was a little soft instead of crunchy. I also liked having the Chipotle Mayo on the sandwich instead of melted vegan cheese. I am sure I could have asked to sub the Mayo for cheese, but that Humane Leaguer was perfect as is so I will just go with that one next time. The latte was delicious! Nothing too special but tasted great and they do have dairy free milk available. They also have a variety of syrups and seasonal coffee drinks to try. I am very thankful Little Market Cafe was so vegan friendly and delicious. If I am visiting Ellicott City again I will certainly make this the place I dine for breakfast!

Yelp
Disappointed in the sandwich quality of Coal Miner's Daughter. But, am giving it a 4 since I used to come here more often pre-covid and I know they're a good popular place when in Old Ellicott City. I had high expectations considering Gordon Ramsay came to help revitalize this business due to the floods. Thankfully, the service was fairly fast, but the bread wasn't as toasted as I would like- it had an odd texture. For me, the caramelized peach jam tasted like it was from a can and not made by them- it didn't do much for me flavor wise. It wasn't a bad sandwich, but it wasn't a great one either. I'd come again to try different products but again, had higher expectations from this place. I do love their outdoor seating setup.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and Ambiance...the 5 stars will let you know they stand 100% on business

EriCKa C.

Yelp
I didn't eat anything but they do have a couple of gluten-free pastries. My latte was very tasty and the outdoor seating is cute & vibrantly quaint on this cloudy day. The servers were quick and efficient. Kind of wish there was somewhere to sit inside as there's only outdoor seating.

C A.

Yelp
What a disappointment. For starters, the bagels are not fresh although they are advertised as such. Requested a toasted bagel and it came out hot but not toasted. It was microwaved so it had that stale chewy mess of a previously frozen and thawed bagel not the good chewiness of a fresh bagel. Similar disappointments in the sandwich which was benign and mediocre at best. I don't factor in price because I really don't care what it costs if it's good food. In this case it wasn't.

Yelp
My friend and I just ordered coffees at Little Market Cafe. They have a few food items in their menu, but we didn't have the time to try those out. Gordon Ramsey has made an appearance here, so I'm intrigued to try more from this place. Drink wise, our coffees were solid...just very sweet. They also sell the cutest stickers (pictured below)...I wanted one of each!

Yelp
This place is so cute!! I ordered a Mocha latte this morning, which was decent. It was a little warm but that's ok. They have a ton of options to customize your lattes which is fun! The staff were all very friendly and my order came out in a short time. There's plenty of outdoor seating! I will definitely be returning to try out more treats and to enjoy the court yard.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, AMAZING service!! We have loved coming here for the past 6 years for breakfast and to enjoy the river and the beautiful mornings in Old Ellicott City.

Yelp
A hidden gem that's not so hidden; nicely nestled near the main parking area. This is an outdoor cafe. You'll find a large area outside to sit and enjoy your food. You walk up to the order counter and wait for your order to the right of the order counter "order pick up ". A staff member will call your name when your order is ready. The order pick up area also has extras such as sugar, napkins, etc. On occasion, a band will set up near the seating area and play a few tunes. I ordered lite however it was mighty. I ordered a cheese Danish that sadly don't make a photo debut. It was THAT good. Soft, fresh and full of flavor. My drink of choice was the Caramel latte. It was rather tasty that didn't require any doctoring of sugar, cream, etc. The staff is friendly and the service is fairly quick. Make a pit stop and visit Little Market Cafe.

Yelp
Good eats, chill scenery with a lot of bugs and full parking, and hit or miss attitudes with the employees. 1st time I came I ordered online. It wasn't out when I arrived 30 minutes later. I ended up waiting 1 hour since I didn't want to bother staff, and when I finally reached out to one of them, he said "you have to tell us we don't know you're here!!!". Meanwhile every other place I've been to just sets the order out as soon as it's done. 2nd time - I got the big poppi and asked for no bacon. Then received it with bacon inside. I also got the strawberry lemonade which just tasted like watered down honest kids juice boxes. Wasn't sweet at all, just tasted like flavored water. TLDR: the big poppi was good, and this place needs to work on employees (just pay more attention to details) + prices are kinda high for the quality

Yelp
Perfect for a fall afternoon! Delicious hot drinks and luxurious dessert choices. Couldn't be better - Americana musicians, a slight chill in the air, and sunshine as we sat out on the patio. Reasonably priced. Only consideration is that Elliott City is quite popular and parking can be scarce!

Yelp
While visiting Ellicott City as a family, Little Market Cafe was a perfect lunch spot with a five-year-old. Here's why: 1) Food: They have salads, sandwiches, ships, flavored lemonade and more! The turkey sandwich with cranberry jam was great! My wife loved the BLT. 2) Seating: They have outdoor seating with shade and live music Saturday afternoons. 3) Location: It's off Main Street and next to a top-rated ice cream shop. 4) Parking: There's a large lot right by it!

Yelp
I loved this place the first time around, last summer, and I'm never in the area enough to have made it back here, really. But then I was asked by my job to work in Catonsville for 3 weeks in the afternoon, and well, here was my grand chance to take in the local food. And instantly, Little Market Cafe came to mind...it's not far down the road, after all! Being unadventurous now that I'm north of 40, I went with the same old classics I'd had last year...also, they were just too good. Another BLT and grape & cheese platter later and I'm once again well-fed, a happy customer, and raving on the internet about this place. Staff was awesome, just like last time. You still order at the window and they call your name down the other end of the building when it's read. Now that things are closer to "normal", there were lots of people eating at the tables on the patio. It was beautiful, really. If you're around the area and want some cafe fair, you can't go wrong here.

Yelp
I waited over an hour for ONE small sandwich. I understand being busy, but standing outside for an hour just to get ONE tiny sandwich is ridiculous. I used to love this place, but because of this, I don't think I can return. It ruined my plans for the day! So extremely disappointing.

Yelp
A lovely place to sit and enjoy the scenery as well as a coffee and or anything you'd like from their menu. There are lots of tables on the garden where you can sit. You just have to go to the market to place your order and they will call you once it's ready. We ordered a pizza to share among 3 of us along with ice coffee, ice tea, and water. Pizza was really good- nicely toasted it was rather small, so it's more of an appetizer than an actual meal. Unless of course it's just 1 person having it. It had 7 small slices... coffee and the tea were good too They apparently have live music, we just didn't get to listen to it since the band was still setting up when we were done.

Yelp
What a cute place with an amazing view of the river! Fast service, charming feel, and amazing sandwiches. I recommend the 9 Mile. Perfect for anyone with particularly uninteresting, stereotypical tastes like mine.
google avatar

Matt K.

Yelp
Came back and ordered the courtyard sandwich on sourdough bread. If you need some salt and tang, this is a great sandwich. There was a healthy portion of smoked salmon and the raw onions and garlic aioli added a nice tangy touch. The warm toasted bread was not painfully crunchy like some other places. Good sandwich.

Yelp
This place is a little treasure within Old Ellicott City. Got the MAC daddy which is chicken salad with a bunch of seasonings. We also got the vanilla latte which was really good. I highly recommend this spot as a breakfast/brunch spot if you want to start the day and are in the area. I have taken so many family members and everyone has loved it.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
This little place is packed at all times and the items are made fresh on site, so you have to be prepared to wait. I had the Dock of the Bay and an iced coffee. The crab cake was freshly made, and the rest of the ingredients were very tasty. It took me almost 30 minutes to get my order but the wait was well worth it
google avatar

Yelp
Little Market Cafe is officially my favorite vegan breakfast option in Maryland now--we tried two vegan breakfast bagel options and they were both amazing: *Humane Leaguer (just egg, impossible sausage, spinach, and chipotle mayo) *7 Hills Road (just egg, violins cheese, and vegan bacon) My favorite was the Humane Leaguer because the chipotle Mayo just sets the entire sandwich!! They have a counter that you order at and outdoor seating in a quaint, scenic outdoor area next to a creek with plenty of seating. They have rotating menus for their drinks and flavored lemonade which was REAL lemonade and not the store bought stuff. If you're looking for a really cute place to brunch or have breakfast this is IT!
google avatar

Kathryn T.

Yelp
Wow, what a find in Ellicott City - order at a window and the food comes out quickly. Many healthy choices - I had the wrap with hummus and cold brew coffee- both very good. My friend said her chicken sandwich was good but not excellent. Go for the lovely experience of outdoor setting, good eating, and beautiful fountain. Parking close by.

Yelp
Loved the coffee and the vibe around, can't wait to come back. Really Quick Service as well.

Yelp
Huge thanks to Little Market cafe for last night's concert. It was idyllic! The sound of the duo, the burbling creek, happy people. Lots of seating, good food. Lovely!
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
I didn't get the chance to try the food options, but I plan to come back soon and try their extensive menu. Prices and service are great, and there is a beautiful outdoor seating area. I also loved all the little stickers that were for sale! I enjoyed the homemade iced tea, and look forward to bringing more friends to this local spot.

Yelp
After much anticipation to try the little market cafe, I was sadly more disappointed than not. We went during the mardi gras weekend that old Ellicott City hosted and got a muffaletta and the crawfish mac and cheese with a log cabin latte and one bottled drink. The total came up to $33, they asked my name but didn't give me a receipt. My latte was called after about 7 - 8 minutes under what I heard has Tanya and it was written as Kania. I almost didn't get up because they didn't state what it was and obviously it wasn't my name. I enjoyed the latte, it was very yummy and if anything I would come back and get another while walking around. Then after 10 more minutes the crawfish mac comes out...no muffaletta in sight. After a couple more minutes we got up and asked when our sandwich would be ready they informed us that it never printed and they were getting right on it. After 5 more minutes or so we get our sandwich. Everyone else was already done eating so he quickly ate half of it. It was ALOT of olives, so it only tasted like olives to me. I only took a bite than decided against anymore. The crawfish mac and cheese was good... About the size of a large side at a regular restaurant. It was packed with crawfish so that made it worth it. It was a tad grainy from the topping but tasted good overall. I hear the sandwiches are really good, so it could have been been just getting the mardi gras menu. Overall, I know I'm not going to come back here unless I'm compelled and it's NOT winter, but maybe I'll try one of their sandwiches that gives them such a good name one day that will change my mind.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went to Little Market Café on a Saturday a month or so ago. We were excited to try the food, since they had both seafood and vegan options. The staff seemed absolutely clueless about the vegan options. Never a good sign. Regardless, my girlfriend ended up getting one of the vegan sandwiches--I decided on the crab salad sandwich (CBLT) and asked for the vegan bacon instead of the regular bacon. I confirmed this with the cashier a few times. We waited about forty minutes for the food and it was impossible to hear our name being called over the live band that was playing--we constantly had to go up to the counter area to make sure our food wasn't sitting there. My girlfriend's vegan option came out fine. However, my crab salad was made incorrectly with the regular bacon instead. I brought it back to the counter and both the cashier and the cook were incredibly confused that I had asked for vegan bacon. Waited another 20 minutes for them to remake it. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. I've lived in Maryland most of my life and hands down, this was an abomination to crab and might be one of the worst things I've had in recent years. Flavorless without a hint of old bay in sight. Maybe some of the other options are better but combined with the long wait times and drab food, I doubt we'll ever go back.
google avatar

Jody M.

Yelp
Great little place in Old Ellicott City. The coffee is great and the food is good too. My favorite thing is to sit outside on a nice day and enjoy the sunshine. I especially like their bialys with cream cheese. There aren't a ton of seats inside, but once the weather cooperates there's plenty of outdoor seats.
google avatar

Aya T.

Yelp
You came here for a small meal after a short morning hike in Patapsco Valley Park. We arrived around 11am. We were able to park and grab our food quickly. We got a table and had wonderful brunch. I had a Gracie sandwich and lavender lemonade. It's like a Thanksgiving sandwich with cranberry jam and turkey ham. It was delicious and easy to munch on. My friend had a delicious waffle sandwich too. We had a beautiful day to dine outside. Most of the tables have umbrellas if you prefer shade. As soon as it hit 11:30am, the parking lot was full and the line to order got much longer. I recommend to come early on weekend.

Yelp
This is a cute little spot in downtown Ellicott City. I was in the area and hit up my best sidekick, Yelp, for a suggestion on a place to get a good sandwich. A few minutes later, I'm at the Little Market. There is ample parking and seating is available outside. There is a place to order outside and another counter to pick up. I ordered the Church Road sandwich on 9 grain bread with strawberry lemonade and a cup of dark roast coffee. The sandwich was delicious but a little heavy on the chipotle aoili. The bread was amazing! The lemonade was aiight, not as sweet as I would have liked but refreshing nonetheless. The coffee was decent. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely try them again.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
The cafe offers delicious coffee and a beautiful outdoor sitting area in historic Ellicott City. It is located right in the heart of the historic area, and right next to the largest parking lot.
google avatar

Temima N.

Yelp
Such a cute place! My friend found this & we instantly loved it! It has a nice cottage core feel & plenty of outdoor seating! Nice area to relax and the food was great! I love cafes so this was this was a pleasant place to be on a nice afternoon! Would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Ann F.

Yelp
We just got coffee (normal dark roast, and ice oat milk latte) they were good. But having outdoor seating and the little pond they put in was brilliant on a Sunny Sunday morning
google avatar

Terri J.

Yelp
I'm happy that you all are still thriving during and after COVID! My biggest issue with Little Market is, know when to stop taking orders if you don't have the staff to make the food. Our last visit there we had to wait nearly an hour for our food! Yes, we called ahead of time. We were told 30 mins, no problem. When we got there we waited 56 mins before we got food. Hire more people!!!
google avatar

Eun P.

Yelp
I always walked by this cafe and didn't get to stop by, but I finally had a chance to try this place! I got a dirty chai and the Hamilton street off the menu. The dirty chai with vanilla was absolutely delicious! Sweet but not too sweet, with a good flavor of the espresso. I split a Hamilton street sandwich and the bread was the perfect texture of chewy and crispy, but I felt like it could have had a bit more horseradish. It was yummy but I felt it could have used a bit more flavor/kick. I would go back and try some of their other sandwiches and drinks!
google avatar

Tricia N.

Yelp
AMAZING coffee and food! Staff is always so nice. Love the atmosphere, especially when there's live music! Great cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to go for a hike on the Nine Trolley Trail just up the road and wanted to find an outdoor place to eat since we had 2 dogs with us. A nice walk up Main Street led us to a venue with lots of tables and live music. The menu was conveniently on a large board to the side of the line, as well as next to the order window. It was really easy to place our order, and I just provided my cell number to be texted when it was ready. I got the Main Street sandwich and a cup of cream of crab soup. The sandwich was FANTASTIC, and large enough that I only ate half and took the rest home. Unfortunately, the cream of crab soup was not good. It wasn't "creamy" and seemed to have onion in it that didn't blend well with the little bit of crab meat. My kids shared a cheese pizza and it was big enough that I was able to get a slice as well. For a busy Saturday, we were able to snag 2 tables next to each other to accommodate the 5 of us. I'd definitely go again in the future.
google avatar

Kalila W.

Yelp
What a gem of a place. Was disappointed by a London Fog at another place but Little Market satisfied my craving. The coal miners daughter sandwhich was yummy too. Got the peach butter on the side cuz i thought it was weird with a turkey, bacon, tomato sandwich but ended up using it. Great combo of flavors! Also tried the lavender lemonade which was refreshing and not too sweet. Place was super cute with all the outdoor seating. Enjoyed my food during a light drizzle because they had umbrella'd tables! Win!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Great breakfast options, fresh simple, upscale sounding ingredients. The ambiance is excellent if you like outdoor nature environments. There was a live band performing blue grass type of music which made the place seem even more special. The place feels pretty wholesome and family oriented
google avatar

Iris Z.

Yelp
Maybe I came on an off day but I could not give this place more than 1 star. I had the cream of crab soup and Columbia pike sandwich. Both really lacked in flavor, especially the cream of crab soup. The soup was straight cream, dry tiny pieces of crab and almost no spices. It was creamy but it tasted nothing like crab. My friend tossed her turkey sandwich. It was all around very disappointing, given that the other reviews seem to rate this place highly.
google avatar

Esa L.

Yelp
This place looks so cute and they seem to have a great menu! I got their veggie burger as it comes (melted cheese, lettuce, tomato). I took a bite right after it was served, and it was room temperature/cold-even the melted cheese- plus the center of the burger was super cold. Also, the whole thing didn't really have much flavor. Hoping it was just a fluke thing because they seem to have good ratings. They do have a nice outdoor seating area and there's a big parking lot nearby.

Jared M.

Yelp
my wife and I LOVED the sandwiches and what a beautiful town to take a stroll around after we ate. Will definitely visit again!

Yelp
I highly recommend coming here and order ahead of you can. Bring a blanket and sit outside in the Grass. It's so cute. Due to covid we didn't go inside. They took order in window. It was a tad slow, but we were patient and it was worth it. The lemonade was refreshing. Another Gordon Ramsey for the win.
