Google
Great service ! I loved the mango tea drink and the Boas they have. The server was nice and brought the food up when I was not paying attention

Google
Came in here once for Boba a while back and it was great. Came in here recently this weekend and was in for a frappe and the man working offered me his own spin on the drink I ordered, something cooking in the lab so to speak, and after trying it I will be back. Service is good, the guy working solo was definitely doing his job because the drinks were really good especially my PB&J frappe, 5 big booms out of 5, will be coming back.

Google
Ordered a lavender milk tea with boba and a mango passion fruit lemonade here. The milk tea was okay. The tea flavor was nice but the after taste was a bit bitter and left my mouth dry. The boba texture wasn't great either. It was mushy and felt like it had been sitting out for too long. The lemonade was really tasty though. Incredibly refreshing! Food: 6/10 Price: 8/10 Service: 7/10 The server started taking the person behind us order while she was finishing ringing us up. Kinda felt odd since we were the only two people inside, so the rush didn't feel necessary.

Google
We were in the area for an event and needed to kill some time. This cafe was within walking distance. They have a good offering of coffee, Boba, smoothies, teas and even Haikaido soft serve ice cream. It's pretty small inside. The staff was nice and we liked our drinks. We had a vanilla latte and chai latte iced with oat milk. Street parking only.. not surprising for the area though.

I was new to town and was looking for a boba spot. I found this location on Yelp and trusted that it was a good place to grab a quick drink. Unfortunately, they didn't have the soft serve or parfaits which I was hoping to try. Service was okay and the store is small. Atmosphere of the store was also quiet. As for the drink, I had the Matcha Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly and it was decent. I tasted more of the Lychee Jelly flavor than the Matcha itself.

Google
I very much like this place. The owner and staff are kind and friendly. I do recommend the food, but they no longer serve Vegetarian/Vegan options for food, it seems! Im not sure why this hasnt been updated on their menus here. :( I was really bummed when they told me there wasn't anything vegetarian.

Google
We tried the Hawaiian Blend fruit tea and Peach Nectar fruit tea! Both were so yummy but the Peach Nectar was just a little sweeter so I liked that one the best. We also got a Crunchy Rainbow Sandwich - I’m a sucker for sprouts on my sandos so this was perfect 😍 I definitely recommend for vegans and non vegans!

Google
Good place to get a refreshing boba drink when you have that craving. Thru limit the amount of people at a time inside due to covid. I had the honey mango black tea with boba. It definitely helped satisfied my thirst. They also have some soft serve which I didn't pay attention to. I will have to try it next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Was so excited when I found out that this cute cafe was coming out in Hillcrest. I had a friend who I would walk in the mornings with around the area and we would crave for some Thai tea. Not many places offered it and if they did, the restaurant doesn't open til lunch. So I'm happy to see this place is open early enough (8am to be exacfto satisfy this mama and I don't need to drive all the way to the convoy district for my favorite boba cravings... lol I have tried their Avo-Tomato Sandwich, Smoke Salmon Sandwich added hard boiled eggs, Kakuni Buns (baos), Thai Tea w/boba, Vietnamese coffee, The OG Milk Tea, Matcha latte, Avocado smoothie, Taro smoothie w/boba and Peach Mango Smoothie Bowl w/ Boba. Since the first day, I find myself going back to this cute cafe to try something new on the menu or order my favorite drink or sandwich. All of which, I find is absolutely delicious. The owner and staff are happy to greet you when you walk in. They provide excellent friendly customer service every time with a smile on their face. Makes you want to smile right back! I will definitely come back and try something new or what I have already tried!!!!

Yelp
Located in Hillcrest. It's super small and lovely with absolutely no parking available. You get 15 people in here and it'll be full. I think on beautiful days like the day I came here, it's nice to just grab it and go. When we came we were the only ones here. It was our first time so we took our time trying to figure out what we wanted. The barista was super patient and tried to help us figure out what we wanted. She even said she was bored and would mix flavors that typically she's not allowed to do. That was super cool of her. There's a good vast selection of items to consider. There are coffees, teas, milkshakes and ice cream but that day they couldn't make any drinks with the ice cream which was unfortunate. And of course there is boba! I went with the purple tea which was exquisite. And an Ube tea which was mixed with Jasmine tea which wasn't as good as the purple tea. The entire experience was only 15 minutes (mostly because I had trouble picking one) but it set the tone for the day and it was a lovely time there. 4 stars for the drink. 5 stars to the barista.

Yelp
First time here, we needed to kill some time. Small little Cafe with lovely air conditioning. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including coffees, teas, Boba, and smoothies. They also have hokkaido soft serve ice cream. We had an iced vanilla latte and chai latte with oat milk. Both were delicious. Staff is friendly. Street parking only.

Yelp
This is a great spot in Hill Crest. I got the Vietnamese coffee which is a blend of 3 beans and condensed milk and my wife got a peach tea with Boba. Out standing beverages. The location is cozy and intimate. We were here on a quite rainy day and we're overjoyed to drink our beverages and watch the rain. The owner was really great and provided an awesome experience.

Yelp
It seems they have new management. But few of the food menu remained serving. Place still clean but parking is always a problem.

Yelp
Came into the cafe last Friday and the drinks were great! The interior is very pleasing and great place to study. Shoutout to Ron for the amazing service!

Yelp
I live in the Hillcrest area and was looking to have some boba without going too far. Usually, I go to the Convoy area or Mission Valley area as there are some great spots but I was feeling especially lazy. I saw Little Nap Cafe was pretty close by and it looked like it had some pretty solid reviews so I was willing to give it a shot. The spot itself is a nice quiet space that is cute and charming. They have a few tables on the inside, a bar with high seating against the window, and some tables on the outside. I walked in and was greeted by the pleasant staff who were very patient and caring. The spot itself was very clean and cozy to be in. I reviewed the menu and decided to go with a Lavender Milk Tea with boba which I found was just okay. The flavor was very generic like from a powder which is fine, but the issue for me was the boba/tapoica pearls. The texture was very chewy almost felt undercooked and the flavor was bland. I was not a fan of the boba and believe there are better options for the price. They do appear to have food and ice cream that looks good. Will have to do another time as their food options look pretty good and perhaps they are more well-known for their other dessert options.
google avatar

Stacey I.

Yelp
The concept of Little Nap Cafe sundaes in a cup is cute, but was also okay. I love the concept of it being based on a lot of East/Southeast Asian dessert flavors, however, the desserts were okay. Little Nap Cafe has a selection of sundaes in a cup, boba drinks, milkshakes, Bao buns, slushies, smoothies, coffees, etc. I ordered the Mango Hokkaido Sundae which I will rate a 4/5. I appreciated the mangoes being fresh and sweet. The thin cut crispy sweet mangoes paired well with the soft serve and honey. The drinks were very mid and okay. Inside the store it was overwhelmingly hot and it was not even that hot of a day in San Diego. Sun was out and was paired with nice slight breeze so it felt overwhelming experience the heat inside the store that was similar to a sauna.

Yelp
I've been coming to little nap cafe since 2018 and enjoyed their original menu which included a variety of drinks and desserts then evolved to have Asian fusion food. I love that the owner worked both as the cashier and bobarista during the first few years of opening before expanding their business. I'm sad to say that they downsized their menu to basic milk teas or brewed teas, some food, and a few soft serve desserts. I was looking forward to enjoying a new drink on the menu since they usually rotate their seasonal flavors but was disappointed to find that their menu shrunk. Luckily, they still serve the purple moon although it is off menu. If you want basic boba or coffee and you're in the area then this is still the place to go but I personally won't make the trip all the way from National City anymore when I can get the same flavors from SD boba tea and Snoice.

Yelp
This place is pretty cute and I had an okay experience, so I'm down to give it another try! I ordered a rose tea milk with with clear/jelly boba. The floral taste of my drink was really strong! It was fragrant and pleasant, but the boba felt like it was undercooked? It was a bit too hard for my liking. The inside of the cafe is cute, with a nice wall that has faux leaves. The menu included delicious-sounding items like baos, tempura, sandwiches and more. I'd love to give this spot another try and go for one of their food dishes.

Yelp
Little Nap Cafe is located in Hillcrest. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and had no trouble finding street parking. I was told their mango items were popular. However I decided to get their ube honey milk tea, which came to $5.93 for a regular size. I was told that it came with boba. Pros: -pretty drinks -fast service -small seating area is available inside Cons: -n/a

Yelp
Great food and drinks, nice atmosphere. The Mexican Oreo frappe was a nice summer treat and the baos are stuffed to the brim and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: In short, we would not come back. We tried the ube milk tea, as is (no changes to sugar or ice levels). It tasted like milk, straight out the bottle milk. There was minimal ube flavor, and the taro paste just gave a potato-y flavor and gritty texture (oh and not enough sweetness, coming from someone who orders half sweet bobas). We also tried The Nap - their specialty sundae. Again, there was nothing noteworthy. The soft serve was icy and bland. It was dressed with basic strawberry syrup and cookie crumbles. Service: The menu could be redone - a lot of menu items unavailable so had to go with my third option. The employee was friendly and willing to help navigate through the menu though. Atmosphere: Place was empty on a Tuesday afternoon. Maybe a couple people came in after us. The place was a little messy and tables could use a wipe down.

Yelp
We went in for late lunch, around 3:30pm. There were 3 tables and bar counter with 1 bar stools. 2 tables were occupied when we got there. We ordered Bao Buns and Banh Mi with pork, both were so delicious. The staff was very patient with us when we were slow what to order. Atmosphere here is very warm and relaxing.
google avatar

Yelp
Milk Tea with Boba Milk tea itself was alright, passable. The Boba pearls were weirdly tiny and flavorless. A good portion of the Boba I swallowed without even meaning to or chewing it--they were so tiny. The ones I did chew, it felt like I was munching on bland gelatin spheres. Cute little shop otherwise though!

Alyssa E.

Yelp
This place IS NOT CLOSED ! I love this place ! There bobas are top notch ! Not to mention their service. Very friendly and will work with you to make your drink right. Also, the cafe is nice and clean. A very peaceful place to do any computer work or if you just want to wine down.
google avatar

Yelp
New place, having a mango boba tea. Ice cream machine on blink. Wanted their mango with with vanilla ice cream dessert, next time
google avatar

Dethloff F.

Yelp
The boba is amazing, as well as the pork belly sandwich (which I HIGHLY recommend). The service and ambiance also make you feel very welcome, the bathroom is also pretty clean. 8/10 WILL come again.

Ariana C.

Yelp
The service was great! We got the Honey Mango Iced Boba and the Lychee iced Boba. Both were delicious and not too sweet. So happy I found this spot.

Yelp
Little Nap Cafe is Tucked in a hillcest. Came here after one of my co-workers recommended my their vietnamese coffee. It was okay.. Not that strong, but wasn't terrible. I like vietnamese coffee that are very potent like at 7 Leaves or Lee's Sandwiches. It taste little watered down here. Service was good here. You just do self-check out and the drink comes out pretty quick after. Since it's pretty close to my work, Would maybe come back to try one of the other drinks.

Yelp
I was buying food nearby, and had 20 minutes before the food was ready, so decided to grab teas. However, the tea took over 20 minutes to make.... It was my first time here, so I wanted to ask for recommendations, but the girl was busy and told me to use the ipad. I got the TGIF, cloud 9, and honey mango, and all 3 were awful. I feel guilty leaving a 1 star, but we all sipped once and didn't touch any of them again. The teas were all watery with syrup flavor. I couldn't taste the tea. The bobas were soft but not chewy and broke apart immediately like jello. They say it's honey boba, but the boba wasn't sweet at all and tasted like it was boiled in plain water. Lastly, parking was so difficult. There was a few spots on the street, but I couldn't find any. My hubby ended up driving in circles for over 20 minutes because the teas took so long. The shop was tiny with a few small tables, and I saw people were doing work on laptops or studying.

Yelp
Parking can be a hassle, mainly street parking. We came on a Saturday mid day around 11am and got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. But they ran out of cheesecake... they didn't offer us any kind of discount or replacement for the missing cheesecake topping. Strawberries were very fresh. Ice cream was also very yummy, it's tart-like flavor mixed with a hint of vanilla puree.

Yelp
I get boba almost every day and like to try as many shops as possible. This one was pretty bad. First off, $7.53 for a small milk tea with boba exceeds anywhere else I've been. Then the boba were mushy (too old or overcooked) and one-third of them were all clumped together so I couldn't eat them (not that I really wanted to). Then they have counter seating, but the chairs are not counter-height so you find your chin at counter level. And what happened to all the Asian desserts and snacks they used to have? Never going back here. Sorry.
google avatar

Estefania C.

Yelp
Awesome shop. Lots of options. I came for some milk tea but saw this boba soft serve. I got the mango honey. It was so good. It was vanilla soft serve, boba, honey and mango pieces. Perfect combination. I want to come back and try some of the drinks. Nice location with seating available. The boba was crazy soft even against the cold ice cream. It was good. I feel like I'd get hard with the ice cream. Service is great

Yelp
This place is straight up trash. I am out from out of town and found this place on Yelp. I went with 3 other people after telling them about it. I probably should have left the minute we walked in. The shop is small and dinky. The lady in charge gave us attitude the minute we walked in. I had some questions about caffeine and if they came make these less sweet. They were not welcoming and told me to just use their electronic menu to see the description. I asked them to make me a drink 1/4th the sweetness for their purple moon milk tea. It still turned out super super sweet. I tried their ube milk tea that someone else I came with ordered. It was regular sweetness and it was way less sweet than my 1/4th "less" sweet drink. I told the manager and she said there wasn't she can do but add more tea with attitude. Unhelpful and unapologetic. I guess their powder or whatever they use is just basically all sugar. I am not one to give 1 star reviews. Don't believe me? Check my stats. If you are going to offer options then make sure the options matches what less sweet means. So a whole drink wasted that I cannot drink. Highly do not recommend this place. Friends I came with also did not care for their drinks. Just too many other options for ice cream and boba in the area.
google avatar

Mallory G.

Yelp
Very good Vietnamese coffee!! Sandi's are tasty as well. Quick spot to get good coffee during lunch as a nursing student in the area.

Aayla S.

Yelp
I'd consider this little spot better than your average coffee shop on the basis that the service is so personal and caring. Letti showed me care that I as a regular customer to coffee shops am absolutely not used to. while most want you to buy something and not stay long, she welcomed me in, made sure I got refreshments I needed and was an absolute doll my entire stay. great shop!
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
While everyone has their own personal taste/texture preferences...this place is not for me. I appreciate that they offer oat milk as an alternative to the powdered non dairy creamer(which I am not a fan of) but the jasmine tea tasted so diluted and watery. It definitely needed more jasmine green tea flavor. Maybe brew with more tea leaves for a more concentrated tea. It was odd that the jasmine tea was a lot more brown than it should've been. So that was disappointing but what was also so unsatisfying was the unusually small sized boba. They were so much smaller than majority of places and while they were soft....all the individual boba were varying in sizes. They were very small to begin with but some were broken up even smaller...so you did not get that satisfying several chews. And also the boba was so bland and also the boba to tea ratio was so off so the boba was finished quickly and you were left with so much tea. Also, I was charged an extra $1 for oat milk which is the most Ive seen. Typically it's no up charge or 50-75 cents. I wouldn't have minded paying the $1 if the drink turned out to be great but it's the fact that the drink was so bad that it sucks to have been charged that much just for oat milk. I tossed the drink in the trash shortly after leaving. My husband said his Hokkaido mango honey soft serve was okay. He was disappointed that the soft serve was hollow in the centre. Some of the mango still had the peel and it wasn't the smooth ataulfo mango type. There was also kind of an odd smell in the shop when we first walked in too. Like musty wet old bunched up rags mixed with some spoiled milk. While it seems like a lot of people enjoy this place which is great. It's just not for me.

Yelp
I had visited this spot a couple of times prior to Covid, and finally came by to give them another try. Little Nap Cafe is in Hillcrest, so we had to search for street parking. Once we got to the cafe, we were the only customers inside. The staff was friendly upon us coming in and helped us find items to order. We ordered the panda milk slush and the OG milk tea with boba. We waited almost 15 minutes for our drinks, during which only one other party came in and ordered just before our drinks came in. We hoped that the drinks were worth the wait, but unfortunately they weren't. Both of the drinks tasted very bland and watery, and the boba quality was odd since they were mini and flavorless (as others have mentioned). I was hoping for a good experience since I liked this spot before, but unfortunately the quality and overall experience won't warrant another visit from us.

Yelp
Just stopped in here for a bubble tea, but I really liked that they have unsweetened options. Cute little spot, a few little tables. The ladies who helped us were very nice, and the place was clean.

Yelp
With boba becoming an ever-growing national craze, I was surprised to find that Little Nap Cafe was just about the only boba shop present in the Hillcrest area. Even so, I must say their drinks really do speak for themselves. My go-to drink here is their T.G.I.F which is a lychee green tea with honey boba and lychee jelly. I always enjoy the crisp, refreshing flavor of their lychee green tea and paired with the topics, it's the perfect beverage for a warm day in San Diego. They also have a selection of milk teas and soft serves. Of note, their menu has been reduced in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and ordering is primarily done via the self-serve kiosk up front. It's super easy to use, just tap through to select your drinks/customizations and pay. Then once your drink is ready, you can just pick up and go! Can it get any more convenient than that? The staff here are super friendly and the interior is absolutely beautiful. If you're in the Hillcrest area and looking for something to quench your first, I highly recommend giving Little Nap Cafe a try. Not only will you get a tasty drink, but also you'll be supporting a small locally owned business!

Nicolle P.

Yelp
Yummy! The bahn mi is different but super good! I ate it so fast ‍ the lady with glasses was super friendly
google avatar

Johana L.

Yelp
I always order a strawberry banana smoothie whenever I go and I've never had such a disgusting one. My sister always gets Thai tea and had to spit it out. The chai blended was tolerable but these drinks are the worst I've ever had. Do not come here for good drinks.

Kassandra K.

Yelp
First time trying it here and thought it's pretty expensive, especially for a 16oz size and the quality. Taro milk tea with ube was good maybe a 7/10 and the matcha latte with sea salt cream was honestly a big disappointment that I'd rate it a 0. It doesn't taste anything like matcha and more like a slight taste of medicine. I could already tell with the color once I got my matcha and it's very light. Even without a sweetener, there's no matcha taste at all. So I definitely wasted $8 on a matcha frappe.
google avatar

Bo K.

Yelp
We were strolling around after lunch and thought the place was cute, so went inside for drinks. They do offer some hot snacks and is overall a cute cafe to hang out at. The drinks came out esthetic and solid, I have no complaints there and they were generous with the toppings. However, we did wait over 10 min for two drinks and we were the only orders they were making. Since we were already walking around, parking was a non-issue but in general, Hillcrest parking can be challenging.
google avatar

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
I am recovering from the ER. I had to get my food delivered. I ordered a meat boa w/chicken. I open my meal and got Tofu. I dislike tofu. Of course they didn't even switch it to another meat because it was more expensive. They didn't call, they didn't leave a message, they just decided on their own to switch to something completely different and the tofu was soggy and no flavor on top of that. I'm left hungry and disappointed.
google avatar

Vivi V.

Yelp
Don't come here for boba drinks, unless you bring your own flavoring to add to the drink. We heard about a special they had of buy 1 get 1 free drinks, so we got the matcha milk tea and hojicha milk tea. Came out to be $5 for 2 large drinks + boba. Great deal, except the drinks tasted sooo watered down and lacked flavor. The boba was soft but also flavorless. We had to take the drinks home and fix them with of our own matcha powder and hojicha powder. This made them much tastier. Even with the half off price, we didn't feel the drinks were worth it. We'd rather pay full price elsewhere. Other than that, the decor is cute and staff were nice. I believe the cafe is more known for their soft serve ice creams, which we haven't tried.
google avatar

Jules F.

Yelp
Great Boba! Food looked delicious too but haven't tried yet. I recommend getting 1/2 sweet, which is just perfect. Usually boba is a little too sweet for me but this was just right.
google avatar

Eily I.

Yelp
I've come here for the boba before and it isn't my preference, but I tried the mango rice yogurt drink and it was so good! Definitely a change from regular boba (and probably better for you as well). It's super filling and refreshing.

Virg L.

Yelp
Went by this morning (right before 10 am). Yelp said it was open but drove here to find it closed. Was looking forward to trying the bao. Bao-er beware! Would like a chance to change my review.
google avatar

Rae S.

Yelp
We found this place on yelp with good reviews. It was a hot afternoon. When we got there, we noted that the shop didn't have their AC on. Very hot and humid inside. The shop interior was a bit run down as well. We ordered Hokkaido Milk soft serve desserts. When we asked the lady whether it was really Hokkaido Milk or not as our whole family loves it, she replied that if it was real Hokkaido milk it would be a lot more expensive. She said it was just a name. What a joke. Clearly a false advertisement. The soft serve was not very creamy and the fruits were a lot less than the pictures on the menu. I would not recommend this place.
google avatar

Ruth W.

Yelp
Oh, what wonderful sweet and cold treats, you are in for a big surprise with what these guys create! You can go for bold, or you can keep it safe with your choice for a post-prandial palate cleanser aka dessert. Go give it a go with the The Nap parfait. A towering statue of sweet goodness! I would skip a lunch or a dinner so I can assure myself there is enough room in my tummy, and enjoy the flavors, the textures, and the simple icy goodness of it all.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place! My sister and I met a friend here on a Wednesday afternoon and it was decently quiet but not dead. There was only one person working but she was very nice! She answered all our questions and had us look at the more detailed menu on the counter too. She tried to be as fast as she could be and got us our drinks within a few mins of one another. Their boba looks really fun but I got enticed by the Hokkaido milk soft serve which was tasty! Plenty of bananas, chocolate syrup, and a chocolate banana pirouette! It was a refreshing yum on a hot day. Our friend got the soft serve too and loved it. My sister got a milk tea and really enjoyed it. The bathroom was clean and seating area was pretty clean. I just was confused on the shelving and boxes everywhere between the tables and bathroom? I just wasn't sure if they're setting up something new like a retail section or what. You can order online from them from like every app too. Overall, I'd come back. It was a perfect spot to hangout at in hillcrest area, and was right next to MO's which we were going to after for the dream girls revue drag show. Parking and Uber were also easy for a Wednesday afternoon.

Yelp
Amazing ban mi, paired amazing with the Vietnamese coffee. I will definitely be coming back!!

Yelp
A little disappointed after seeing all the photos. Ordered "The Nap" and "ube milk tea boba". The ube milk the boba was great, the nap on the other hand was nothing like the photos. For starters it's $9.50 which would of been fine, but ours came out with 4 small pieces of strawberries, small piece of waffle cone, and two pocky sticks in a large cup with vanilla ice cream & small swirl of taro. It's the same vanilla soft serve you can get at McDonald's for $1. They have a wide variety of options so that's a plus. I just wouldn't reccomend "The Nap" in my option.

Yelp
Great customer service Tried their milk tea with jasmine and taro! The boba were fresh and chewy! Lots of selections!! Definitely will be back sometime again!

Yelp
Super chill and peaceful cafe, perfect for studying alone. amazing staff, the lady who attended me was very nice and helpful and quick too. I tried the brown sugar boba per her recommendation and it was amazing! definitely a new hidden jem for me
