Little Napoli

"True to the chef’s hometown traditions, classic Neapolitan pizzas and street foods like ripieno fritto and panuozzo are made with only ingredients from Naples. Pizzas such as Margherita or Vesuviana are made to order, baked in an Italian stone oven at 400°C, and served whole, not sliced, boasting a puffy, nicely charred crust and gooey centre. It’s basically a grab-and-go pizzeria with a few seats, so come early if you want to dine in." - Michelin Inspector

Nestled in the heart of Hong Kong, this pizza restaurant boasts some of the city’s highest ratings, which naturally set my expectations soaring. While the overall experience was pleasant, the pizza itself fell short of the hype, leaving me with mixed feelings. The pizzas are undeniably fresh, crafted with care and baked to order. The ingredients, while fresh, didn’t strike me as exceptional—lacking that premium quality one might expect from a high-end establishment. The tomato sauce was a highlight, offering a well-balanced, tangy flavor that complemented the crust. However, the cheese was underwhelming, lacking the rich, creamy depth I anticipated for the price point. Speaking of price, the menu leans toward the expensive side, which amplifies expectations for top-tier quality. The baking process also left room for improvement. Some sections of the dough were undercooked, and I noticed uneven baking on several pizzas, which was disappointing for a venue specializing in this craft. A pizzeria of this caliber should showcase impeccable baking skills. The atmosphere is cozy but cramped, making it challenging to accommodate larger groups. On a positive note, the service was a standout. The waitstaff were patient, attentive, and took time to explain the daily specials with enthusiasm, enhancing the dining experience. In conclusion, this restaurant offers a solid dining experience, but the price-to-value ratio feels skewed. It’s worth a visit for a special occasion, but it’s unlikely to become a regular haunt. With some refinements, it could truly live up to its glowing reputation.

Unfortunately not as good as the Happy Valley branch. They’ve switched out soft crust and attention to detail on the flavour of toppings. The crust wasn’t cooked through but they didn’t want to leave it longer because it would have burnt. It’s all in the dough. The same chef was in and out of the kitchen but the pizza was being made by others. The drop in quality is noticeable. It’s still one of the best pizzas you can get in Hong Kong but it’s dropped from my top 3 to in my top 10. Service was great and quick, no wait for a table either. The menu has a great selection for all and their specials were good too. For me though, it’s all about that dough and I left disappointed.

Hard to recommend We waited 2 hours (gosh) to be seated at Little Napoli in Wan Chai. The staff assured us we were next, yet a group that appeared to be the owner’s friends arrived later and was seated ahead of us. And a couple arrived after us have their food served before us. The restaurant’s queue-management app was completely misleading—it showed only five minutes remaining when, in reality, we still had over an hour to wait. By the time we were finally seated, we had almost no time left to enjoy our meal. In fact, our food arrived just 15 minutes before closing time, which is an awful way to treat paying customers. To make matters worse, the music was blaring so loudly that conversation was very difficult. I’ve eaten here before and had a better experience, so this visit was a huge disappointment. For these prices, there are plenty of better pizza places in Hong Kong that serve excellent food and treat customers with respect and thoughtfulness. Little Napoli clearly relies on hype and long queues to create a sense of exclusivity, but pulling blatant queue-jumping for “VIPs” while the rest of us stand outside for hours is unacceptable. We won’t be back. There are too many restaurants in this city that actually value all their guests.

visited on a weekend, came with high expectation and left with a let down…side dishes and drinks were nice, but the pizza itself it lacks crust and were soft/even undercooked in the middle, zero undercarriage and simply not crispy or had no crutch. we ordered two pizzas and both were below par. hard to justify the premium price.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Taste of Naples! Incredible meal at Little Napoli in Wan Chai! I had the beef carpaccio , so fresh and such good quality. The calzone was fantastic—perfectly baked and packed with flavor. The Vesuviana pizza was also a masterpiece, with a beautifully charred, authentic crust. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service is top-notch. A genuine taste of Italy in Hong Kong. I can't wait to come back!

Food is great but…… The pizza were baked perfectly well. Crust was crispy but soft in center. 👍🥰 Very simple ingredients but well mixed to give you an outstanding taste. We have tried before in Happy Valley and dine in here a few times at the new place. But sorry to say will never come again after the last visit. My wife walked in and wait for me inside (I was late for only a few minutes), but just before I arrived the staff talked to my wife and stated that she needs to go out and wait outside, but , but there were no people queuing outside the restaurant at all. I arrived and started to order and then finished the last slice of pizza probably within 50 minutes. The staff took away all the utensils and asked if we can pay the bill. Sorry to say we had not even finished our drinks. My wife walked in when they opened at 12.00, ordered at 12.09 and asked to pay at 13.00. I know you are popular and I know your food is great. All you need to do is set the queuing rules and dinning time limits for the customers and I think most people will follow.…………… Just hate this kind of pushing attitude without standard 👹👹👹

Everyone, please be careful of the hidden nails on the wooden bench. When I sat down, it instantly ripped my yoga pants. The staff saw what happened but didn't take any immediate action; they didn't even think to cover the nail with tape. In the end, my friend and I changed seats. Please, do not wear any expensive clothes or thinner fabrics in this restaurant.

We’re thrilled to finally try the Michelin-starred pizza! The place was packed on a Tuesday night. We, a party of two, ordered an appetizer, two pizzas, a drink, and two desserts. For the appetizer, we chose the Polpo Alla Luciana Rosticciato. The octopus was perfectly cooked—tender and paired with a delightful cherry tomato sauce. A subtle hint of spice in the sauce left us craving more. For the pizzas, we picked one from the classic menu, the Vesuviana, and one from the special menu, the Diva. Both were outstanding. The crust was thin, soft, and moist, folding effortlessly for each bite. The flavors were vibrant, with generous amounts of cheese topping both. For desserts, we went with a coconut gelato and an off-menu lemon slushy. The gelato was rich, bursting with coconut flavor and studded with coconut pieces. The lemon slushy was a revelation—refreshing and the perfect palate cleanser after the hearty pizzas. Overall, our first visit was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent—they even identified a pizza from a photo we showed them. The food arrived quickly, too. This is hands-down the best pizza I’ve ever had in Hong Kong, and I highly recommend it to all pizza enthusiasts!
