I decided to give them a try, I had several choices. I chose them. I’m pissed. I asked them “Do you have rasta pasta??) they said YES. I ordered chicken Rasta Pasta and they gave me this nonsense. And no it’s not good. I’m so hurt. I drove all the way from Belleville for this. I really wanted Rasta Pasta. This ain’t it.

I think they have a new cook, and I mean that in the best way! Rasta pasta was good, not dry. Macaroni and cheese and yams always are tasty.

Food is always delicious! Service is always slow but if you don't mind waiting for your food then you'll be okay. Prices are decent for the type of food you get. I typically oder curry chicken / curry goat with yams & mac & cheese. Would recommend. Staff is polite.

Listen, whoever owns the spot you need to make sure you have more than one person working on Friday nights. You had this poor lady working on her own and she had so many orders, it would be overwhelming for anyone. Give her a raise or send someone else to help her

They microwave their food before they give it to you. It’s not hot. Don’t get the fried chicken because we all know microwaved fried chicken is the worst thing ever.

Worst jerk chicken I ever had It was brown, looked like stewed chicken but when you taste it you can taste the hotness of jerk. Was not very flavorful. The rice and peas was good. Mac n cheese for my grandson who’s 2 yrs old, he refused to eat it. It was mushy, just over cooked pasta. I also purchased a piece of chocolate cake. It was a good size slice but it was not fresh. It was crummy. Took a bite and it was hard to swallow because it was so dry, it actually made me cough. Saved it to take it back to them if I get time to do so. Customer service was nice.

If I could give this place a -0 I would. I don’t recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. That’s how bad it is. If you don’t want to waste your money and time DO NOT go here. This is a $20 meal that looks like a $10 meal. Cabbage is disgusting. It has no time of flavor. I also ordered cornbread. I paid for it and they didn’t even tell me they didn’t had and still got charged for it. I called them to tell my frustration and they did not care.

Um horrible service. Someone stole my order and they did not want to remake it. Even though clearly it wasn’t delivered since 4 other uber eats drivers pulled up and were told “someone already picked it up”. Like clearly someone stole it and they did not want to remake it for me. So my uber eats driver had to call uber to report the issue for me to finally get my refund. Never again and horrible customer service.

I love this restaurant, grew up in EO and came back home for good home cooked food! My favorite is the Mac and Cheese, it nah dry, it well good! The fried fish and yams are fresh it's not overly seasoned! I like fresh clean food!

The food is always fresh made with quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the kitchen is the cleanest I've ever seen in any restaurant. I would highly recommend all of their cuisine. You won't be disappointed!!

Food isn't good. Mac and cheese is stouffers. Good prices but not good quality. BBQ chicken didn't fall off bone

Wow! Ordered off of Uber eats on a whim, ( I ordered the Brown stew chicken with Mac n cheese and plantain & my boyfriend ordered curry goat, rice n peas with plantains) and it was soo good. The chicken and goat were flavorful, the plantains were fried to perfection and the Mac n cheese was very tasty. Will definitely be ordering again!

TERRIBLE. Unseasoned and an oil slick that made me nauseous. Very large oxtail but only 3 per a large order which for $16.50 is HORRID. The rice was overcooked, the greens had no flavor whatsoever. It was hard to swallow. Literally. I ordered 1 large oxtail, 1 large curry chicken and 1 large stew chicken. Curry chicken was bland but tender. However, tender is not enough without flavor. Stew chicken had the most flavor which was still very much nothing at all. $57.67 on an order that was completely inedible. On top of all that, I paid an extra 0.50 cents for cornbread they didn't even send. Disappointing on levels beyond me. Never again and I'm usually the fairest. I usually give a redemption shot, but Nah, I'll pass!

Bought some jerk chicken from this spot, they gave me brown stew instead . It had no taste or flavor, the Mac and cheese was nasty . Won't be ordering from here again

Ordered from here on UberEats. Delicious Jerk Chicken! All of the sides I ordered were really good too - had the rice, plantains, cabbage, and Mac and cheese. Huge portions!

Decided to check this place out since I would have been waiting a whole hour to get my haircut. After reading the reviews I decided to give them a shot, nevertheless.. the food is actually pretty darn good, and the portions are def large. Lunch special all day. Great, clean place, nice staff.. I will def be back. I ordered the curry goat, rice and peas, and potatoes salad.

THEY ACCEPT UR UBER ORDER and not even preparing it. So, dont expect fast delivery. This morning ....i waited 45mins , plus delivery time so basically an hour, for breakfast - Prices are steep. - Food is okay, not mouthwatering. [ yes, i have ordered various meals, multiple times] - Portions are small for the price.

I ordered some food from Ochi carribean restaurant via Ubereats and it was horrendous and absolutely inedible. I cannot and will not eat this food at all. The salmon was not fresh and did not look like or present like salmon at all. I took one bit and instantly knew it was old. And the cabbage looked sad and soggy & only the white part was used no green why. And is there such a thing as canned plantains or where my plantains just a year old???? That's just how greasy and congealed they tasted...never in my life have I tasted such Now onto my daughter's dish jerk chicken hmm I can't tell that it was actually supposed to be chicken because it was brown & brownish like a piece of beef. And when I tasted it it tasted like a rubbery piece of styrofoam that had been soaked in seasonings and mildewed.  Like who's is eating from this restaurant and why is it even on uber eats?? And those folks giving this place 5 stars must be employees or related to employees cuz there no way that place dropped in service so severely in just 3 months time.....please All I know is I want my money back from that God awful restaurant as I will not eat that food at all and if I had a dog I wouldn't even give it to my dayum dog

Had a taste for oxtails. My cousin rants how delicious this food is. I have to agree for 24 dollars I received a lot of food. I had oxtails white rice yams and Mac and cheese! I ate off that one plate three times! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is no parking and eo cops mess with you! And they ran out of cornbread! But besides that everything is great

Not sure how someone used my credit card here to charge $4600. what can they possibly purchase here for that amount of money is beyond me. they need to make sure they ID people paying with a card with that amount of money.

My oxtails were sweet. I wasn't a fan. The corn bread was amazing with little piece of corn in it. So it wasn't a complete wash. Large portions. Cabbage was very tasty. I'm going to try this place again. Next time I'll grab the jerk chicken

I could not even eat this plate of mess!! Do not order food from them through uber eats, for some reason they send the left overs from a few days ago ( considering the presentation and taste) I was so disappointed. I've actually walked in before and had food and it wasn't bad. After this experience I will never eat there again!! I urge you not to order, walk in and see your food.

I have been eating at Little Ochi since it opened and the food is consistently good, they serve large portions and the food is well seasoned. It is family owned and operated and the owner and family are very nice. I like the Jerk Turkey wings and the Roti (my favorite is the Curry Chicken) but the Ox Tails and Curry Goat are also very good and my 9 year old really loves the food. I highly recommend it.

Food is mediocre and bland. Some of the staff have really bad attitudes. I asked one staff member if pointing his finger at me meant "may I please take your order." He refused to answer and use actual words to communicate. Of course when I pressed him about it he said I was the one that was rude. Insert eye roll here. A lot of teeth sucking too which is a typical island thing but still rude AF. I like doing business with people that like doing business with me so keep your nasty food and suck all the teeth out ya mouth for all I care. Hope ICE comes and shuts up shop.

DO NOT ORDER ANY CURRY FROM HERE!!! Got food poisoning from this place. I got the curry goat roti and it tasted great but i was completely sick the next day. The service was cool but they obviously don't know how to cook curry at all.

I travel from Jersey City to east Orange especially for the jerk salmon at Little Ochi and was hugely disappointed by the women and their nasty ass attitude served up with my meal!!! I had to stop the young girl from preparing my food with her bare hands and long nasty broken red nails that she'd just finished texting and tapping around the kitchen area.... The older lady comes from the back with more attitude and no gloves preparing food and ringing up these expensive ass meals... I was so very disappointed with the service, and staff that i will no longer be purchasing any meals from this establishment and I strongly encouraged other customers to do the same.... We spent $40.00 for this meal and we were both disappointed....I miss the young man that use to work there cause the women have shitty attitudes to say the least...supporting black owned businesses shouldn't come with attitude and more money......FOH

Amazing, friendly service and HUUUUGE portions. Not to mention extremely delicious! I'm from NJ but moved to California; now that i'm back I have been craving Latin/Caribbean food, which is very hard to find in Cali. I talked to the owner and his son (who also moved to LA!) and they were really down to earth and chill. The oxtail was so soft, and MEATY, no gimpy pieces. Legit, huge pieces of oxtail. We ordered 3 large platters (2 oxtail and 1 jerk chicken) and it could all easily feed 7, although we only fed 5. Jerk chicken was seasoned perfectly, not too hot, tender, juicy. The space itself is very clean, well-lit, colorful and in a pretty central location. Thank you so much for the tasty experience!! My one suggestion is to put up a menu online.

The jamacian food in East Orange. Food is always fresh, the staff is friendly and it is affordable. Love this place.

Absolutely amazing curry goat and macaroni n cheese HIGHLY RECOMMENDED so happy I found this restaurant

The vegetable roti had mildly sautéed cabbage, carrots and red peppers; honestly it looked like they simply used their regular cabbage side and put it into a roti skin. If they didn't have the ingredients to make the dish properly, they should have been honest about it. Also, I asked the cashier what came in the veggie platter and she advised only cabbage, which I found strange given the name "platter". She seemed to be annoyed by my questions as every time she responded she looked passed me and not at me. I only asked questions about the menu's items as the menu itself was not detailed; how is anyone suppose to know what they're buying from your establishment and feel comfortable doing business with you if you're not willing to answer their questions without it appearing to be an issue?

Highly mediocre food. About 30 minutes between my order and my delivery..which means my food was barely lukewarm. I lived in the Bronx the past 6 years, I know oxtails...this was not good oxtails. That's unfortunate.

I hate giving bad reviews but every sense the owner stop serving the food and taking orders the store fell off. The food is very very very COLD! The Mac n Cheese is dry, rice is cold and the attitude the men have in store is bad. Just to let you guys know I gave this restaurant the benefit of doubt and went a few time's before giving my review. Bring back MOMMA as the cook please.

Is this place opened because I tried calling many times to make a phone order but no one has ever answered and a voice mail comes on.

This place is amazing! I ordered 2 dinners: stewed chicken, rice and peas, collard greens. Oh my goodness the flavor was the best I have had in NJ! The price.....$10.71!!! The owner is the cook as well and she served us so graciously. I will most definitely return again and again!!

$5 platters with extremely large portions. I got the jerk chicken that came with 2 sides. The chicken was very tender and fresh, authentic jerk. The rice and peas and cabbage were equally satisfying. Will be coming back.

I love this place, wonderful staff and food. They will prepare just for you, if you call them in advance. Not only what is on the menu, but special extra yard, no pun intended. They are closed on Tuesdays, but get enough for left overs to carry you through, they work hard to please and deserve a break :)

I spotted the place from across the street while i was doing laundry. I'll jus say overall i liked the place. I'd go again. The food was tasty. Typical Carribean things on the menu but not everything was available right away. I got Jerk chicken with mac and cheese plus collard greens and oxtails with rice and peas. This place is way beyond what's that place called?....Golden Crust. The oxtails were superior to them. I stop going there because when u go there and ask for oxtails which is a popular selection, u get crappy pieces and you're pretty much eating all bone. That wasn't the case here. The collard greens were good. The best i've gotten at a takeout spot. I wasn't wow'd but they were def decent. I'd recommend this place. They take credit/debit cards over $10 which is good

Went for the first time on a Sunday night. I ordered the oxtail dinner (medium). I quickly changed my order to curry chicken after witnessing another customers order. However, when my order arrived it was the oxtails. (apparently the server didn't hear me). Nevertheless, even though my order was packaged and bagged she graciously took it back. However, I told her, give it to me. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the polite, patient, and professional character of both the staff. I have been to other establishments with similar issue and the attitudes were disgusting. As for the food,..it was good. However, the oxtails were somewhat sweet. I noticed another reviewer saying the same. If it weren't for the slight sweetness I would say the oxtails were perfect. The size of the oxtails were also on the small size but I think that was due to the time of evening it was. The place seemed clean and the options are good. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes.
