Little Panda

Never again. I ordered sesame chicken and it tasted like it wasnt freshly cooked. We the people we know when its freshly cooked. This one was like 2 days old left overs that they didn't want to make fresh one so it tasted as if they just warmed it up. Gross. And i told the man to give me the chicken fried or pork fried rice he gave me just plain white rice for that i could of just cooked steamed rice at home. I didnt like the food. Never again. 🤮 Even the egg roll was horrible taste. Like 2 days old they just warmed it up. Not worth the money 11.63 I was disappointed.

First time ever ordering from here and have to say I’m a bit disappointed. I ordered beef and broccoli and had it delivered just to find hair in my food after the first few bites. I don’t usually make reviews but I feel like this could have been done a whole lot better.

I ordered my usual an again the meat was hard, this was supposed to be dinner for this evening, I placed the order over the phone, asked for soy sauce with my order, pick up order one package of soy sauce, I finally get a break to eat my dinner for the evening, meat hard can't even cut thru it tuff chew, call the restaurant, manager get on the phone, an she's ready to chew my head off,she didn't listen to a thing I said, I didn't want no replacement nor refund,all I wanted to tell her to watch your food before it go out, the chicken look an taste like it been sitting under a heat lamp, pre cooked food is not good service, especially when you work in the food business!!!! SMH 😞 I miss Chinese kitchen on N.1st they took care of their customers

We ordered hot n sour soup and sweet and sour sour chicken for the kiddos. Not only was the soup flavorless-it tasted like beef broth with soy sauce, not hot or sour to be tasted- there was PLASTIC in my kids food. Thank God she didn't choke.

My spouse just found a worm in her food. It looked to be a wax worm, which are edible, and was not expected in the dish. We will not he eating here again.

The customer service and food are top notch, I really recommend the sesame chicken dinner special with fried rice.

Food is amazing. Pickup is sometimes a wait but it’s worth it. Looks clean though. Very nice

Worst fried rice and General toast chicken I have ever had. Egg roll tasted like a grease bomb in my mouth. Just Horrible. Was told that is how they make it now.

So order online if you don't like waiting on a Saturday night. This place has orders coming in online, call in and walk up. They are super busy so nothing but fresh food come out your way. The crab rangoons were super fresh and well made. The sesame balls were great and steamy! Both Gen Tsao and orange chicken were well seasoned. The fried rice was not top shelf, but ok. I would have rather gotten white rice. But the portion size of rice was generous, very generous. Thanks for a good meal Little Panda!

Every town has them. About 10 small Chinese restaurants dishing out tasty and quick Chinese fast food. Abilene has 2 Little Panda's and Mike and I go to the one on the south side every so often. Mike loves the orange chicken, so he gets...the same thing...every time. The boredom of this just drives me crazy! How can you not try something new at least once in a while? Curry Mei Fun, House Special Lo Mein, and Moo Goo Gai Pan are some of my favorites. Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables is always good. Is this gourmet Chinese food? Nope. Is it good, quick, and cheap? Sure is! They stay very busy, both dine in and to go. When your in a hurry, or just want something easy, Little Panda is your place!

I ordered food tonight and asked 3 times is she had given me a fork.. I'm staying in a motel and have nothing to use .. of course there was no Fork in the bag .. my bad for not checking at the restaurant but honestly if you ask and they look you in the face and said they put a fork in the bag and did not .. Horrible Service and the place was Nasty Dirty on top of all that !! Never Never go there !!! Attached is a photo of everything in the bag

I've eaten here a few times and it was okay, but today was AWEFUL!!! Crab ragoons had the tinyest dab of sour cream with no crab; basically a piece of fried dough. We had the orange chicken; it was petrified and almost unedible. Will never go back. $13+ wasted.

Tacky and tasteless, but cheap. Dining area is fairly clean, but not a place to bring mom for lunch. Had the lunch special with general Taos chicken and egg drop soup and fried rice. Tasteless all the way around. Chicken was supposed to be spicy. NOT! Ended up putting spicy mustard on it to give it some flavor. Egg drop soup again no taste. Could have been warm water for as much taste it had. And the fried rice was just goo. Not coming back

Absolutely awful! The sweet and sour chicken was all breading with no chicken and the fried rice taste like bad Spanish rice. I don't know how they stay open.

Food is good. This place is convent, but customer service is horrible. Ordered 5 meals and only 4 were delivered. When we called to dispute this, they basically called us liars. Just because of the pandemic, there is no excuse for bad customer service. BOYCOTT THIS RESTAURANT.

Go to North 10th for better service and food. We stopped by the Rebecca Lane location today and ended up walking out. We wanted to substitute mei fun noodles for our rice at lunch, but the girl running the register said "we're out." We said "really?", and she openly said "well, actually, we aren't out, I just don't know how to ring those up." She then said "I can do lo-mein noodles though." So, she was willing to give us the wrong thing as a substitute instead of figuring out how to ring up an item we asked for that we confirmed was available at the time, all because she didn't know how and wasn't willing to figure it out. REALLY?? You don't know how to do your job, so instead of figuring it out, you refuse to help your customers? She then asked a guy that was sitting down eating, and he said "we've never done that." We explained that we have come to this location since it opened, and have done it every time without incident until today. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "well, we don't do that." We told them we could go to the other location and have no problems, and they said "maybe so, but we don't do that." Again, just being lazy and refusing to figure out how to do the job. So, we went to the North 10th location and got exactly what we wanted, no problem at all (as expected). We will NEVER come to the Rebecca location again. If you want better food and much better service, skip this one and head north.

I ordered the beef and broccoli & got beef and broccoli soup, lump bits of grey beef, broccoli,&onion floating in watery brown liquid. I called and asked them to remake the dish with thicker sauce & the manager said all she would do is remake it with less sauce not different or thicker sauce. So I literally turned the whole container on it's side drained the soup and tossed it in the trash and heated up a Totino's pizza for dinner.

Before today I had always preferred ordering Chinese from this restaurant but not anymore. The food has always been good but the service is absolutely horrible. Today I ordered two lunches one with a drink and one with a soup. The driver didn't give me a drink and when I called and asked about it they said they'd call back and talk to the driver. He flat out lied and said he gave it to me. He was "pretty sure I handed it to you"....well you didn't. And now you called me a liar about it. I do recommend the food but only for pick up. Buffet King is just as good and has AMAZING service. So I recommend going there and just saving yourself the headache.

This food is good. BUT ... the service is less than friendly, be prepared to wait a good 1/2 hour, and always check your order before you leave when carrying out! We waited forever for our food tonight and then when we got home (a good 30 minutes away), one of the meals was left out of the bag. We called, and after being on hold twice, were told they could not refund the cost to our card. The best they could do was agree to save our information and credit us the one meal on our next visit. We should have been credited for the full order. They did apologize but it's still frustrating.

There was a MAGGOT in the orange chicken! Unacceptable and disgusting! Never eating there again. Called and told them and all they said was "OK thanks" and hung up.

The food, as always, was not too bad. I keep going back here because I know exactly what I am going to get....customer service was really bad today. After having my order rung up and paying with a card the cashier refused to ring up a coke (which I had forgotten to order) because she would have to ring it alone thru the system...she said I could only purchase a drink if I paid in cash. Well, ok then.....I managed to dig cash out of my purse and was able to purchase said coke. The tension between coworkers was so thick you could cut it with a knife! I was not comfortable at all waiting for my order (which was done in a timely manner). Maybe it was just a bad day. I did enjoy dinner tho.

I've never had anything but good experiences here but tonight when I went to eat my dinner there was a maggot in my chicken. This is my first experience like this but I doubt I'll be ping back any time soon..

I've been a few times and the Chicken Fried Rice is a solid choice. It's consistently pretty decent. The Lo-Mein was pretty bad; I didn't even finish eating it. The Steamed Dumplings weren't that good either. But like I said, I'd give the Chicken Fried Rice a solid 3/5.

Simply put, this is Americanized 'Fast Food' Chinese. Not horrible food for fast lunch delivery but not great if you are expecting anything remotely authentic. MSG flush & headache included at no charge. AND will someone show them how to update a website. I was expecting a $12 bill..... it was over $20. I may have them again in a 'need food delivered fast' pinch but I have eaten there 3 times in a year if that tells you anything.

When we called the number listed they gave me another number for a different location closer to us for delivery. After talking to the right person and ordering food listed on their website, we were given a higher total than expected. When I asked he told me their website had not been updated with the more recent prices. Hmmm, how hard is it to update a website with only one page? Food got to us faster than quoted, big portions, the rice noodles and cheese wontons were quite good (although the filling inside the wontons looked to be less than a teaspoon, while the fried wonton itself was huge) General Tao's and orange chicken both had good flavor, but there was more fried coating than actual meat. It filled us up and tasted good for delivery. Might try some other options on the menu. Would like it more if the prices were the same as on their website! That's what I like to call false advertising.

Never been to a place that wouldn't let you add extra meat for an extra charge and was flat out told no when we wanted to order extra egg rolls. The place has gone down hill in quality and the service is awful. Done going to this place.

I have ordered to go a few times at this location. Let me be clear to everyone about this: THIS IS NOT REAL CHINESE food. I don't even think you could classify this as Asian food either. I think the only reason Little Panda is "popular" is because of they offer cheap food. It's like fast-food. Actually, that would be complimenting them because even fast-food chains like Panda Express are better than this place. I do not know if they just hire anyone who apply, but they lack customer service skills. They barely look at you when you get in, they don't even greet you. They are just in the business for the money. Whoever owns this restaurant, I say to you: "Get new employees". It is quite annoying to be standing there and they don't even acknowledge your presence. Lastly, I don't know how they pass health inspection. I'm going to stop going here because every time I'm there, it's dirty. There's stuff on the floor, you can see the kitchen and it is dirty. Simply put, do not go here. You'll only give them more reason to keep running the business. And I don't think these people know how to run a business. They need to learn how to talk and treat people.

The food is decent but some of the food you can't even tell the difference between the two. And the flavors/tastes are inconsistent for each plate. I almost always get schzuan chicken and I swear I never really can tell If it is schzuan or not... I will get Beef and Broccoli and it tastes watered down or something... Oh and watch out for the MSG headaches! :P

Called in an order to go, very nice and quick over te phone (looked up the menu on the website). Was ready in about 12 minutes. Very large kitchen with lots going on. The front gal was helpful and sweet. I just ordered veggie egg roll, veggie Lo mein, and veggie fried rice. Packaged in very nice to go boxes, could probably be reused (a sturdy plastic) had a good selection of sauces in my bag, PLENTY of food, and 3 fortune cookies. They took very good care of me! I have to say, the Lo mein wasn't the best I've had but not bad at all, I will absolutely be back!

I didn't have huge expectations when I stopped in here yesterday. I've seen it as we drove by this little strip mall when coming home from Market street. I like living in Abilene, but one of the things we've noticed is that the food here is never really seasoned- not even salt and pepper, so when we eat out I've gotten used to adding my own spice. Since I'm not feeling too well right now I wanted wonton soup. Back home that's what you eat when you're sick. I ordered two lunch specials- general tso's chicken and char siu (lol it's called roast pork here) with veggies, and the mongolian beef which I asked to be extra spicy. The specials came with little cups of won ton soup. At first taste the soup was a little bland. Added garlic salt and shoyu and it was perfect! The char siu with veggies was surprisingly tasty! I didn't have to do anything to it and enjoyed it very much. My husband thought the chicken was too crispy (he was wrong, but he can't always be perfect) so I let it sit on the counter for a bit and allowed the sauce to soak into it more and when he got into it later he said he enjoyed it more. The mongolian beef was good, hardly spicy let along extra spicy, but we just added our own siracha and was good to go. I think the only thing I would change is that they serve calrose rice instead of whatever kind of rice (basmati?) they have everywhere here in the mainland. I've told my friends back home that finding good food out here has been kind of hard for me. But I think this will become my go to Chinese food spot. In my opinion, it was WAY better than Szechuan out in downtown Abilene.

I've been here twice while visiting Abilene and both times are superb. Will continue to come back when I visit! Their hot and sour soup is the bomb!

Best chinese takeout in Abilene. Sweet n sour chicken is the best. The sauce is awesome sauce and the prices are the great especially for dinner combo. Not 5 stars because the flavors can be expanded a little bit.

This place is the most ill-run and dirty restaurant I've been to in a long time. Take a look an the unsanitary conditions around the cooking station. For instance, I saw a pile of chicken 2 feet high on the counter rapidly coming up to room temperature. Dining room is unclean to be charitable... Sometime later I decided to give it one more chance, since it is only a few block from home. Same dirty, unsanitary place It was an hour before closing. I ordered food to go... and the counter person said nothing about the delay I should expect. I waited 20 minutes for a my order... until I noticed somebody hosing down the kitchen. I went back to the counter, and the employee told me... "He's about to start on your order in a few minutes." Huh. They shut everything down an hour before closing while still taking orders. Assume they were cleaning then to keep their labor costs down. Got my money back and left to go find someplace clean that was still open. Lesson learned.

There is a toss up of service some days those people are really good two people come to mind a really tall guy and a guy with a the sides of his head shaved and tattoos. One person who is consistently bad is a long haired blonde guy who is as bad as can be. Other than the service I love just about everything on the menu

We called Little Panda at their other location for a delivery and were told to call this location. We have had the other locations fare before and it was good. So we thought DESPITE the reviews, we would give this place a whirl. We called and gave our address and were told to call the other farther away location. We explained the situation and asked where their delivery cut off was. They are 2 miles from us, the other, better place is almost 6 miles away. The manager stated their delivery cut off was our road! SO....What's the problem? Laziness? I don't know. We were willing to take a chance and try them out, but the rudeness of the manager killed it for them. Instead of talking nicely and explaining the reason, he cut my husband off and was very rude! Guess they don't need the business! Will not try, nor recommend.

The Mongolian Beef was delicious!! As a first timer, I will definitely go back when in Abilene. The Little Panda is in a shopping plaza and you may miss it but worth a visit.

Usually pretty good for lunch. Not the friendliest people working here and not the cleanest place around. Everything is sticky. If you call ahead of time it is usually ready fast. Food generally tastes good.

Absolutely awful. I had to order $15 worth so I could have it delivered to my office for lunch - so I ordered an app sampler that was $9.25 - it's completely inedible. Burnt, old and hard as a rock.

Ahhh. Came here on a Sunday night so I gues they weren't expecting too much business. Waited about mins before I got my food. Chicken and broccoli combo and steamed dumplings. Worst dumplings I've ever had. Tasteless and the dumpling sauce sucked. The egg roll was half the size as a regular egg roll. The chicken and broccoli was decent. I would have gone some where else but it was late and it was close. In a normal city this would have gotten less stars. But this is Abilene. The first time I heard of Abilene was when I decided I was too tired to drive to Dallas.

Food is good but customer service is terrible. I go there a lot because its close but believe me if there was another option I wouldn't put up with the crappy service I ALWAYS get.

I was excited to try this food, but sad to say it was the worst experience, food was cold, and stale, it took an hour and a half for it to be delivered 1.4 miles. I ended up throughout the entire meal. And ordering a sub sandwich. 25 dallors down the toilet. Eat at your own risk,

Food is good. Service is timely. Not spectacular, but we've never had a complaint with one of our orders and we've eaten there many times. ... A solid choice for Chinese food in Abilene.

I love this place. I visit most time I'm in Abilene. The lunch specials are cheap and plentiful. The egg drop soup is really good for fast food. I can usually make two meals out of one lunch special. I've never had any of the problems mentioned in some of these other reviews. Beats the heck out of a burger for lunch.

The food is always good and I have no complaints and I usually am pretty pleased with the service. Before today, I would have rated the service higher than a two but after having to wait over 2 hrs for my food to be delivered and then to add insult to injury, the person that I spoke with when I called back to find out what had happened to the delivery, offered no form of apology but, instead, was rude and insinuated that it was my fault that THEY had marked it as pick up instead of delivery.

Food is mediocre at best, but the reason I'm leaving a one star review is because they need to separate business from politics. I don't care who your voting for, you have all the right to have your opinion. But the two guys standing at the register wearing trump 2016 "make America great again " need to not be allowed to wear that stuff while on the job. I took one look at them when I walked in the door and immediately turned around and left. Do not give them your business until they can learn to actually run it like a business.

The food there was s great and taste like heaven. Their chicken tastes good too. Also their the best Chinese food I have ever tasted.

I have eaten here several times without complaints. I picked up my order of general tso's chicken and went home to eat. The rice didn't even taste like rice. Idk what hell it was but it was nasty. The chicken was over cooked and dry. The only thing that was good was the cheese wontons. I'm never going back.

alright.... if your expecting top notch authentic Chinese food you've come to the wrong place. If you want cheap Americanize Chinese food then your going to enjoy the food here.. Ordered orange chicken, kung pao chicken, beef with broccoli, and egg drop soup. The orange chicken was coat with a red sauce which was OK was expected more of a orange sauce with the orange's core cooked with it. kung pao chicken had celery, carrots, and water chestnuts cooked in a brown sauce. Pretty typical with these Americanized Chinese places a few pieces of chicken and tons of everything else also the kung pao chicken was cooked in a brown sauce which was different it needed to be hotter and more flavor, lack taste. I wish they could of cooked it with peppers or something. Beef and broccoli was very good probably the best dish I had tonight. The dish was put together with some love. The egg drop soup was OK needs a ton of more flavor they must of just used water and not chicken broth also needs something else either green onions/ shiitake mushrooms or maybe even corn I know what your thinking but it puts a yummy touch to it. I don't know if I'll order from here again but for now I'll stick to what i know. Bottom line I don't know if I blame them I mean its Abilene. As for atmosphere kind of small don't think I would sit down and eat there with the entire family but their are tables that you can sit at. The staff seem pretty chill almost the type you would see at a freebirds. Asian are cooking the food. ( now I'm generalizing asian because I don't quite know what ethnicity they are. not trying to be racial by any means) They also deliver here

When I'm feeling lazy and don't want to make the drive to South 1st, Little Panda is the next place to go! Convenient as it's 2 minutes from the house. But I'm a big fan of their Beef and Broccoli as well as the Sweet and Sour Chicken. My suggestion for improvement, quit giving me so much rice and more entre please =) Love this place.

Not the best upkeep... Kitchen staff are noisy and don't usually keep profanity to themselves. However, they have really big dinner portions for really reasonable prices. I'm a big guy and can't finish my entire plate most of the time. So if you're in the market for cheap, large portions of standard Chinese food, you've found the right place. If you're looking for upscale or exquisite food, just pass on by.

By far the worst orange chicken and general tso chicken I have ever had. When the food arrived, it was Luke warm. Chicken is rubber. Rice is edible. Will not eat here again. Only two stars because the staff was friendly.

I think I vomited a stale Moon-Pie that had double the flavor of this entire restaurant's dinner menu and the staff must thinks that people are lining up around the corner to eat whatever pieces of vermin they serving but they may need realize they may need more customer service training...

Absolutely terrible! Zero Stars. This is nowhere close to authentic Chinese cuisine. We ordered shrimp lomein and it turned out being spaghetti noodles doused in soy sauce. Also, they skimp you on "meat". My wife only received, literally, four of the smallest shrimps you can find at your nearest Walmart frozen seafood section...I lucked out with receiving 6! If you are looking for average Chinese food, then don't waste your time and money with this place.

This is not real Chinese food. I can't taste the Chinese flavor :( whoever says that this place has good food, you guys are wrong. You don't know the real taste of Chinese food. Go to California... I'm not going back here in Little Panda anymore. Chinese food gives a lot of food in a cheaper price. I rate this 1/2 a star.

the "fried rice" is just steamed rice with brown sauce poured over it and egg and veggies added. they do not fry it in a wok and it is mushy. the lo mein noodles are always way over done and they are just plain old everyday spaghetti noodles. the food is FAR overpriced for the quality. eggrolls are pre frozen and just fried at the store, not fresh made. unfortunately, its the only delivery chinese food in the entire town.

We chose this place because we had been told they deliver. When we called they told us they couldn't deliver today. We ordered anyways since it wasn't too far. We tried a lot of different things from the menu and everything was bland and flavorless. Soggy fried dumplings, wontons w almost no filling, and bland seafood delight. Will not be returning.
