"The Pearl is a mini restaurant operating out of a 17-foot Airstream trailer located on the patio of Jettie Rae’s. It serves a variety of oysters, canned mussels with house-made chips, and pickled shrimp with a tangy dressing. The venue also offers a batched cocktail, wine, and a pilsner called the Pearl, brewed with oyster shells. It has become a gathering spot for both customers waiting for a table at Jettie Rae’s and those stopping by for a quick drink and snack." - Eric Barton

Quiet little seafood restaurant that is definitely out of place this should be downtown. Loved the atmosphere and coziness of the local very small not to crowded. Food was delicious and the customers service very attentive and helpful only think I didn’t liked was the surf and turf burgers was over seasoned with the mustard seed seasoning all I could taste. Over all it was delicious.

We dropped by to check out the Key West inspiration. We really enjoyed the daily butter with bread service. Additionally, the classic burger was perfectly cooked. The fries were fine but not amazing. The tomato bisque with tiny cheese & lobster sandwich had great flavors, though I found the temperature of the soup to be a bit cooler than I prefer. Definitely try the key lime panna cotta - so creamy & tart & magnificent. Service was delightful.

Great atmosphere and service. The Ahi Tuna steak and oysters on the half shell where excellent. I ordered the shrimp Poke bowl and while the presentation was beautiful it was far too salty. There was way too much sauce in the bowl and the saltiness overpowered all the other flavors. The shrimp was fresh and good but it was hard to taste them! The rice was dry and cold as well. (The menu said coconut rice, i had hoped it would be moist or creamy from coconut milk) I liked the idea of the individual ingredients in the poke bowl but the salty sauce covered up any other flavors... I had hoped for a $25 entrée it would have been a more enjoyable meal.

Google
My kind of place! Very tasty, unique dishes with inexpensive tapas and great drink selection. Jalapeño beer. Vino Verde. All things that go great with seafood and earthy ingredients. Type of place you have to come back to and try more of their menu.

Was my first time enjoying this place and first time tasting sword fish. I loved the dish. Highly recommend everyone to go try the sword fish even if you aren't a person who normally likes fish I think this would be enjoyable for you. Service was amazing. Also, loved the crispy brussel sprouts. I plan to go back more often. Huge thanks to all of the cooks and staff there for making my experience enjoyable! <3

Google
This place is heaven for the palette. The soup, a creamy risotto w chorizo was magnificent. Our next course, the oysters, from MA were clean and light. For our dinner we shared the pan seared scallops w mushrooms appetizer and the Oyster fried rice. An amazing meal. To get to the restaurant, use the actual address. The Google directions tab sends you to the wrong area.

If you’re in East Asheville you have to check out Little Pearl for some of the best seafood in town. 🦪🦞🍔🍺 This restaurant was on my list, since I’ve been to one of their sister restaurants in the Keys, the Thirsty Mermaid. 🧜🏻‍♀️ Everything was so fresh and delicious. We had a Dozen Oysters from both ME & MA, the Spicy Maine Lobster Roll, & Classic Burger. Yes it was one of the best burgers like everyone says! I can’t wait to come back and next time for dinner. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try! Cheers to the owner, staff, & chef, ya’ll made it such an incredible experience!

Google
Wow! Completely blown away by this little spot. The atmosphere, staff, food and drinks were phenomenal. Exceptional menu, so so unique! Like no other seafood experience I've ever had. Richard, our waitor, was very knowledgeable with the menu and helpful with pairing our drinks. One of my new favorites for sure!

Yelp
I have eaten here 3 times in the last year. Each time I have had superb food and excellence service. Sadly, I don't eat seafood, but I get the most delicious burger with bacon, tons of melted blue cheese and a tasty onion jam. The best are the CRISPY BRUSSELS with black garlic sweet soy, and pickled beets. My husband says the veggie burger with mushroom bacon, frisée, baba ghanoush is really good. Don't be turned off by the location being in a strip mall!

Yelp
Cute little spot in the middle of a busy shopping center. Daily seafood specials and a different dumpling on the menu every day (very cool) we obviously order the daily dumpling (braised beef and blue cheese) the husband liked it more than I did - just tasted the blue cheese and nothing else. Let's start with the good: 1) crispy Brussels sprouts were perfectly seasoned and served with beets and a savory garlic soy vinaigrette, delicious 2) lobster sliders - although an order only comes with two mini ones (not ok), they were cooked well and the jalapeño kick was a good call. 3) husband likes the daily dumpling Not so good: 4) lobster bisque was veryyyyyy watered down :( should not be called a bisque and the bite size grilled cheese bites were underwhelming 5) Szechuan cucumbers (don't) not 6) burger (just ok, nothing out of this world) Actual score 3.5, for the price we paid, we should've enjoyed the majority of the meal.

Yelp
Food was good with a different tasty twist. Service was very nice. Ambiance...Place was good, basic, nothing that I would call special. Clean, nice, not elegant. I was only surprised by a minor obligatory charge for kitchen staff that I've never seen. Thought it was tacky, turned me off. Dislike to be nickel and dimed; all too common today. Also, a bit pricey for here and I'm from NYC. Would I go back, no. Is it good, yes. I would other places.

Yelp
So we finally got to try Little Pearl in NC! We absolutely love the one in Key West and his other two restaurants in Key West as well. This was different, but not a negative way one bit. There a good election of food and an even better selection of cocktails and local brews! Service was a little.. um.. weird, but no star deduction because everything was perfect! Walking in we were greeted right away and kinda put me back in that keys vibe with the ambiance. I got the burger topped with butter poached lobster and delightful. Everyone else we were with also enjoyed their meal. We shall return if we're in that area again!

Yelp
Enjoyed carry-out from Little Pearl last week to celebrate some office Birthday's. I'm astonished we all agreed on one place for food, some days it's a monumental challenge deciding between all the delicious Asheville restaurants! The food: 2 Lobster Rolls w/ Fries 1 Surf & Turf Burger w/ Fries 1 Flourless Chocolate Torte Everyone was in agreement; the flavor of the food was outstanding. I'm such a sucker for hand-cut fries!! I enjoyed the Surf & Turf burger, which was a great size, cooked perfectly, and the lobster was such an added treat! The lobster rolls were also delicious and had great flavor, just disappointed in the small size. The chocolate torte was very rich and could easily satisfy the sweet tooth of two people with one serving.

Yelp
So my friend and I search actively for Happy Hour specials and we found this spot had a daily one. Half price appetizers (a few pricier exceptions) and salads. Does include a dumpling of the day (chicken and scallion on our visit) for a little surprise. I got that and frisée salad and the fried oysters. My friend got the mushrooms over the salad. We both were big fans of the oysters. Got a complimentary watermelon gazpacho from a accidental order. The Happy Hour is really only one hour, BUT offered EVERY day. Service was top notch and informative. We will be back.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Food was seasoned but slightly cold. The pork buns had way too much of what I think was BBQ sauce over cooked pork as well. The lobster sliders were cold and hun was over charred. Service was pretty good could have been better. The place looked nice and was clean.

Yelp
We haven't dined at Little Pearl in a year or so. It was much better than it used to be since they hired a new chef. The seafood is super fresh and the dishes we ordered were inventive and had lots of pizzazz. As for the food, for 2 of us we ordered 2 appetizers and 1 entree- and the portions were healthy and more than enough. But more importantly, everything was prepared beautifully and cooked to perfection. They have a very good selection of wines, with some good whites by the glass. The service was great- Robin, our waiter, was very personable and attentive, but wasn't ever present. He was a real pro and knew how to read a table. We had a flight to catch, and Robin helped us choose items that wouldn't take too long for the kitchen to prepare, and he kept things moving along. Couldn't say enough nice things about him. On another note, I'm not a great fan of the ambiance. It is quite dark but the place has a kind of depressing, cold vibe. The booths are tight and the seats are uncomfortable. There is a starkness that just doesn't scream "relax and enjoy". It would be so much nicer if the booths were a bit more spread out- maybe with some with colorful cushions thrown in- and the addition of some soft lighting at the tables would just make it cozier and more pleasant. Also the noise level in there is really high! Everything seems to echo and it's hard to have a private conversation when all the sounds are bouncing off the walls and the floor. We could hear the people at the next table better than we could hear each other.( I can't imagine anyone with a hearing aid trying to get through a conversation in there.. ). *Noise level is something most restaurants neglect to address and it can truly make or break a person's dining experience. Other than that- I would highly recommend Little Pearl for its food and service.

Yelp
There's a little something that gives me cognitive dissonance about a place in a strip mall off busy Tunnel Road next to a Sleep Number Bed store, decorated in Key West-style with seashell mirror, oversized fishing lures and a Gulf mural on one wall ... but we honeymooned in Key West many moons ago and have been there many times, so whatever works for you, I guess. (Think I read the owners also have a place in Key West.) I'm a sucker for fried oysters. We had the appetizer version, with lemon aiolia and slaw, and they were tasty ($15). I also went for the classic burger, which was hyped in a local foodie newsletter. It had a good flavor, though the middle part was so underdone I had to eat around it (I ordered it medium, should have said medium well). The burger with added American cheese and fries was around $15. The hand-cut fries were excellent. My SO's pork belly steamed buns ($13) were okay. Service at lunch was friendly and prompt, and parking wasn't a problem when we were there. I suspect this is one of those places that is under the radar for a lot of locals. It's been open for a couple of years, and to be candid I had never even heard of it until I saw the blurb in the dining newsletter.

Yelp
Our first visit to Little Pearl did not disappoint. We didn't take a picture of the Bahn Mi style wings appetizer because we ate them so fast. Lisa was our server. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions. Main course was Surf and Turf burger and crispy skin salmon. Both very tasty. Great flavors and nice size servings. I know we will return to try more of the menu.

Yelp
They Committed Fraud! After writing a long diatribe, I'm gonna keep it short. The day I went, (June 2024) I wanted a simple burger to go. I paid up front which was a big mistake. after they dragged their feet for 35 minutes on a slow night, I asked for a refund and they gave me a refund receipt? for my credit card purchase (with a whole lotta attitude) and I moved on. I check my CC statement the following month, and they ripped me off. There was NO refund and, in fact, the original charge wasn't noted until later in the night according to the statement. The feeling I got from the staff, especially the waitress (Big Bird), was not the Asheville hospitality or kindness I had received elsewhere. I don't know what bothers me more, the lack of hospitality or that THEY COMMITTED FRAUD. My CC was never credited, all I have is a meaningless piece if paper. Should I have contacted my CC company? Sure. I'm hoping this review has a greater impact than my lost $20! if the floods didn't get them, karma will!

Steve S.

Yelp
This place is WAY overpriced for what they offer. I had the tuna ceviche, fried chicken dumplings, Brussels sprouts, and a pound of steamed peel-and-eat shrimp. The dumplings were terrible; a mess of sauces that made them soggy. The Brussels and ceviche were good. The shrimp...were $50.00 for a lb. FIFTY DOLLARS. They were no better than the $14 shrimp you get at other raw bars. They want to be an upscale fine dining place, but they would be better suited to be a bistro and lower their prices by 15-20%.

Sabrina H.

Yelp
I'm just going to say it. This is one of the best restaurants in all of Asheville. It's true. And it's not downtown so parking is a breeze! The inside is super cute. The staff is on it. Especially Nicole. And I love their specials, he bar side tables, and elevated seafood selection. This place is a must if you haven't been already.

Ann K.

Yelp
Great seafood place in Asheville. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend !

David H.

Yelp
So so good! Get the okonomiyaki and the scallops! I've been a few times now and it has always been amazing! Location is my favorite but the food makes up for it!

Summer S.

Yelp
We were so excited to stumble on this jewel of a place in East Asheville. Just in town one night for hiking, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Sorry no photos (I don't IG my food) but we had the Poke Bowl, very fresh and filling, the steamed salmon dumplings and pork belly buns. All were fresh and filling and we were very happy and full. Service was good. I wish we had tried the oysters!

Donald R.

Yelp
We stopped here while in Asheville for the lobster roll. We loved this small place. It's delightful, charming, clean, modern and tastefully decorated. The service was outstanding. We opted to eat outside in their perfect little patio and listened to music while we ate. They had varied enough selection for our beer tastes. Now, about that "lobster roll." Actually, it was two lobster roll sliders which worked out well for sharing. However, it is a small amount of lobster for the price, and although every meal under the sandwich heading said it came with fries, this did not, so we had to purchase them separately. So, two beers, the small plate and fries rounded out to $40. We might return when nearby, but I think we would try something different.

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Seafood fixed right! Fried oysters with lemon aioli, fixed perfectly! Moist and succulent! Shrimp Okonomiaki with the heat causing the Bonita flakes to wave at you. Tender and flavorful! Delightful lunch experience! Lisa the hostess was amazing! Thank you! Compliments to the chef and staff!

Ed B.

Yelp
When one sees the words spicy MAINE LOBSTER noodle salad one typically expects the first ingredient listed to be a significant component of the dish. Where's the lobster? This dish is definitely spicy and we did find a few pieces of lobster. But definitely not what we were expecting from the descriptor. That said, the wok fired clam and sauce was delicious and the white fish ceviche was also enjoyed. The $3 bread offering ( 2 hard crusted rolls) is a must for sopping up the outstanding juices. Might have preferred a more absorbent bread, however. The aforementioned spicy noodle salad is quite spicy. The serving was sizable and we brought half home. The Panna Cotta dessert helped return our palates to baseline. The space was quiet and fully staffed. Our server was friendly and helpful. We received regular attention from servers and manager. Even though this restaurant is located in a strip mall setting the ambiance left us feeling like we were in a seafood restaurant downtown.

Suzanne T.

Yelp
Delicious fried oysters app with a tasty creative slaw. Mmm! The bleu chz burger with carmelized onions ooo! Damn fine fries too. All around solid . Taking one star off because in the mostly empty restaurant they seated a couple next to us not a problem til the waitron AND another staff dude were so thrilled to sell a bottle of wine and market-price stone crab claws that they could not shut up with their big spenders (been there). Loud long animated convo made it hard to talk with my dining companion.

Veronica S.

Yelp
This was horrible. The worst service. I left hungry and when I put in an order they didn't Even fill it. This is the WORST restaurant I've been too. Overpriced and very small plates

Gary K.

Yelp
A bit pricey, and servings were rather 'precious' - but that being said, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu. Staff was a bit 'cranky' but we overcame that and had a nice experience.

Peter N.

Yelp
wow, the clams were totally drowned in their version of Miso ...Couldn't taste the clams... the corn on the cob was cut down the middle and was shuddered in little peddles of I think crushed peanuts and multiple spices....all of it, clams and corn was extremely SALTY...... And i asked for a cup of hot tea and i was told that they didn't have hot water but they can put the warm tap water into the cup... wow, it was Luke warm... my goodness don't they have a microwave..... and overpriced to say the least..... no thanx........... oh and my wife had a lobster salad.... you guessed it no need for me to comment....

Chris C.

Yelp
The Food - OUTSTANDING! The service - OUTSTANDING! The Owner ( Tommy) - OUTSTANDING! Do yourself a favor and find this place. There is another location in key west.

Nancy L.

Yelp
What a gem! Fabulous food, nice atmosphere and great setvice. Fresh ideas, fresh ingredients!

Bruce J.

Yelp
This place is a little hidden gem. Was a little skeptical at first because it's in a little strip mall across from the mall, but I'm sure it's because rent is insane downtown. Staff was friendly and we had a reservation and got in immediately. No full bar, but had some great sake, beer, cider and wine options. We started with fried oysters which tasted great but were a little too chewy. The sautéed clams were amazing (get bread to soak up that juice!), the Banh mi wings were insanely good (if you like fish sauce), the pork belly bao buns were really good too. For main course we got the bulgogi burger w pork belly and kimchi, and the general Tso fried oyster fried rice. Everything was so good, maybe one of the best burgers I ever had. Server was great. Absolutely will be back

John S.

Yelp
Little Pearl is hard to write a review for, in that the food was really good, but the value was really bad - so I'm torn and settle on 3 stars. Business lunch mid week - the small space was not crowded and we we seated promptly. Both of us were in business attire, so I assumed that our waiter would be time sensitive, but exactly the opposite happened - the service was vacation laid back, good attitude, but everything moved at a snail's pace. Started with the calamari, which was very good, but the serving was small, we each got a couple of bites. I had the scallops, my host had the snapper special. The scallops were excellent, but 3 scallops and 2 tablespoons of corn puree for $26? Sorry, but an appetizer serving should have an appetizer price tag - I left hungry and disappointed. Little Pearl has potential; flavors are great, just don't come hungry or pressed for time.

Evan G.

Yelp
Little Pearl in Asheville is a great place to go for delicious food and drinks in a cool and unique atmosphere. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need.

Mark S.

Yelp
Our waitress was amazing. Food was disappointing. And Mediocre. Not fresh seafood..... overcooked poor quality seafood.

Bonnie H.

Yelp
Great food and service. I had the fried oysters. The slaw side was perfect too! I can't wait to come back and try some other items.

Natalie J.

Yelp
Limited seating, but spacious nautical ambiance. We were able to get seated right away on a Sunday evening around 6pm on Mother's Day (surprisingly) without a reservation. Everything was incredibly flavorful, igniting the taste buds in the best way possible. We ordered the following: Escolar Ceviche- Rich and a bit on the chewier side. Bacon was a bit over powering as the fish almost tasted like ham. The raspberries were an interesting complement to it. Served alone and small enough for one person to snack on. Bangkok Octopus- One of my favs. curry and peanut combination sauce was really palatable. Sprouts and herbs (mint and basil) were fresh and a refreshing complement to the savory marinade of the tender octopus. Calamari- Sweet, tangy, citrusy with a little kick at the end. Lightly breaded that allows for a good crisp. Peanuts adding crunch and a slight nuttiness. Mint adding a good refreshing balance. Probably one of the best calamaris I've had. Small enough for one person or to share among four people for a couple bites each. Rainbow Trout w/ Swiss Chard- rich creamy sauce that bursted the fish and couscous with flavor. Swiss chard was sauteed and almost resembled spinach. Fish was tender and super fresh. Couscous was perfectly prepared, soft and fluffy. Baby heirloom carrots- were on the sweet side, but tasted good. Texture similar to baked sweet potatoes. Brussel sprouts- least favorite dish. They were too heavily doused in soy sauce. Probably wouldn't order again. Poached pear dessert- great hot/cold dynamic dessert. Subtle Moscato flavor, tasted very caramel like. Soft and easy to share among four people. The vanilla ice cream was very rich and decadent, probably one of the best I had served at a restaurant (vanilla can be hit or miss at restaurants, tasting like a grocery store bought one, but not this one). Overall, really great dining experience. Would highly recommend and would visit again when back in Ashville.

Mary F.

Yelp
We were in town for a soccer tournament and found the restaurant from Yelp and went to the restaurant Saturday for an early dinner. We had the dumplings (YUM), the scallops appetizer (it's also an entree and YUM) and then split the black and blue burger, which was amazing...so juicy and the fries were on point. I had the Noble Cider tart cider (we have been to thier brewery so I was excited to see it on the menu) and my husband had the sake. The meal was fabulous and Nicole our waitress was great! We will be back the next time we're in town.

Danny T.

Yelp
This is a different experience in Asian cuisine. The place is clean all throughout including the restrooms. Price is a little higher than other places; I would think. However, the quality and texture of the dishes are unique and undistinguishable. I had the Spicy Main Lobster Noodle Salad and my wife had the Seared Diver Scallops. They are awesome and worth giving a try.

Gabrielle W.

Yelp
A taste of excellence hidden in a growing strip mall. I am pleased to say that I found this place due to Yelp. I can say with 100% accuracy I would have found it otherwise (Better Marketing opportunity). I was seated quickly and a glass and tap water in a wonderful blue bottle was left more me as I reviewed the menu. I started with a glass of wine. I enjoyed the scallop appetizer with their house slaw which was unusual and delicious. I also tried the ceviche which changes daily. I was swordfish on the day I went. I was also good. But, the scallops will make me return.

Julie N.

Yelp
What a gem and lovely place to have in Asheville. I ordered takeout and simply loved it- felt like I was eating a meal at the beach. I loved the octopus appetizer and the conch salad rivaled the ones I've had sitting on a dock in the Abacos. The swordfish entree was tender and I also got the daily fish special which was cooked to perfection. These chefs know how to cook fish! I'm thrilled to have this place in Asheville! It feels like a little trip to the beach without leaving home!

Gerri L.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly! We were greeted as soon as we entered the door, and our server was very knowledgable about the food selection. We ordered the mac & cheese croquettes to start, and they were delicious! I just wish there was more of them, since we were only given 2 to share. The BBQ burger was delicious, very flavorful. The hanger steak was pretty good, too, but a little lacking in flavor, especially for the price. Fries were an automatic side option for both entrees. Their menu is rather limited, but maybe that is due to them being a new restaurant in town? If they were to expand their wine and food menu, I would definitely consider going back! Not too much incentive at the moment, though.

Christina J.

Yelp
Great service, attentive and friendly. Ordered the Big Pearl because we really wanted raw oysters and clams. They were very small and not shucked properly, but tasty and fresh. A little disappointed. The Ceviche and Poke were delicious, small portions. The peel and eat shrimp were cooked perfectly. The pork belly steamed buns were amazing!! Looking forward to returning and trying more menu selections. I would order the Poke bowl next time for sure!

Logan G.

Yelp
Good service, Excellent food, Good prices. It's not too crowded and located on S Tunnel rd so I got some good car spotting on the back patio. I'll come back to try the seafood but my app., salad, burger and dessert were excellent. Very creative and unique items. I would recommend this to everyone as a great spot for a spontaneous lunch or maybe a dinner date. 9/13

Kaiti K.

Yelp
This experience was a rough from the beginning. 1. We called ahead and asked if we could reserve a table outside. The person on the phone said yes, we will open the patio for dinner. We get there and we were told that they would not have outdoor seating tonight even though we saw a heater lamp on the patio. So we sat in the back at the high tops. 2. We ordered at 8:00pm - bread, apps, entree, and drinks. The bread was hard and too hot to touch, suggesting they microwaved the bread. They also called it "bread service" but it only came with two rolls and a single thing of infused butter. The app took about 35 minutes to come to the table, whereas the entrees came out at about an hour into the meal. We ordered diet cokes, but we were given cans which were already expired. They were completely flat. 3. The food comes. I got the lobster rolls (which didn't come with fries even though the menu said it did and the fries came 15 minutes before the rolls). I will say that the serve did tell me that they were sliders, but what I got was not what I would call a slider. They literally had one sliver of lobster on them, some sauce with no flavor, and one fresh jalapeño. They also use Hawaiian rolls. All of this to say, it is ridiculous to pay $20 for the entree that I was given. My husband got the general tsao fried oyster fried rice. The rice was simultaneously undercooked/crunchy in parts and too soft in others. The general tsaos sauce itself was overly sweet and just unusual. We ate most of the lobster rolls but barely any of the rice. The serve took it back into the kitchen to bring it up to the chef. 4. I will also say, though, when we brought this up to our server she was very receptive and took the drinks and the rice off of the tab and understood the situation which I really did appreciate. The dumplings (which I believe were technically wontons) were really good. The fries and the infused butter were good as well. 5. I am honestly just disappointed because this was meant to be my birthday dinner and unfortunately it was not the outing I was expecting. Overall, super underwhelmed by this place. I'll chalk it up to a long night on their end since we did set our reservation time at 8:00pm, one hour before they were set to close. We are not from the area, but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Athena K.

Yelp
If you're looking for a little taste of heaven, come here!! I dined alone and enjoyed a Sapporo draft, the ceviche (yellowfin tuna), the octopus app, and the oysters (east & west coast). I was pleasantly surprised! This place reminded me of a delicious beachside dining experience I had in Santorini, Greece! You can't find Octopus that's cooked this well-- tender & melts in your mouth. Its plated mint and basil -- I highly recommend taking a bite of the MU t with the octopus! It's got a great smokey flavor as well. The flavors aren't overpowered with the sauce. I was even greeted by the chef, & naturally he expressed his southern hospitality. I will definitely be coming back with friends and family!

Blanca I.

Yelp
$$$ Great date night if you want fresh oysters and premium wine. My husband loved the burger and service. We have since gone back & recommend it highly!

SN B.

Yelp
The food and service was just ok. I Was expecting much better best off the prices. Unlikely that I would ever come back.

Crystal R.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the food! The oysters, clams and asparagus were delicious! The bisque could have had a little more flavor for us but was not rich which was nice. Will definitely come back here if in town.

John-Paul A.

Yelp
My wife and I just had dinner there tonight and the service was less than average, all the food was overpriced and overly salty to the point where we couldn't eat it. The oysters were the only thing that was excellent except that we watched the oysters sit waiting to be served to us for over 8 minutes and there was only 2 other tables seated. not worth the $150 for the meal. Would have enjoyed more a market salad at Chick-fil-A next door for $20.

Lori B.

Yelp
Excellent seafood. Love the atmosphere. Five star menu and service. Amazing find in Asheville!

Dean H.

Yelp
Just moved to Asheville and wanted some seafood. Looked at what was around the Kennelworth area. Saw some good reviews of Little Pearl so decided to try. First thing if you are used to looking for restaurants in this city, is that so many of the good restaurants are downtown or in older areas. Little Pearl is in newer retail area where you're more used to chain or fast foods places. So it may not be located where you're expecting. DON'T BE FOOLED. This place is really, really good. We sat at the bar and Dallen was our server. They kind of have a full bar but with limited choices on brands. However, Dallen pulled together a very solid Vodka martini (no vermouth) and an Old Fashioned. We decided to stick with a number of dishes off their appetizer menu. Had the daily dumplings (salmon), a dozen mixed oysters (sooo fresh and good), the cauliflower, local mushrooms and the scallops. Finished with the pear dessert. Every dish was spot on. Kristina was the chef and she rocks just like Dallen. We have to head out in a week but have already decided to make sure we make one more trip back before we do.

Restaurant is very small. The service is good. The food is unusual. The combinations are very different, e.g., lobster on a hamburger. I had the poke salad and really enjoyed it but I'm not sure there are many other menu items I would try.

Yelp
Wow! Little Pearl is amazing. The service was awesome - it was our first visit so we got a friendly and informative walk through the menu along with some recommendations. The food was just delicious. We'll definitely be returning!

Yelp
Quality way down from past visits. Disappointed in what was ordered. Service was adequate but not exceptional. Owners/ chef needs to build it back to what it was. Not high on my list anymore.
