Little Pigs Bar-B-Q

If you're all about "bigger is better" like I am, don't let that stop you from enjoying the food here! Despite its small size, as it is tucked away behind a gas station, the quantity of the size of the building was outmatched by the quality of the food! The portions here are fairly big and one can most definitely get a great and quick lunch here, and this sort of place works great if you're out exploring the town and want to support a smaller business! Just look at the size of my sandwich in the picture! Potato salad and macaroni and cheese also made for some appetizing side items! I don't have super high standards for bathrooms or anything but I will give them props for a professional looking bathroom as well!

Hooray for Rib Day! I have been eating at Littles Pigs for decades and have always ordered their BBQ plates, but today was special. There was a sign on the door announcing that today was Rib Day. Their Ribs were "fall off the bone" ribs. Deelish! Staff and service are always top notch. Their entire team is amazing. Be sure to check out what days are rib days and give them a taste. They will not disappoint.

Nice little spot right there off of 17. I had never eaten here before today I really enjoyed this local fav. It has a simple menu and walk up service. We were served quickly and with a smile! They have ribs Friday and Saturday, but daily feature fresh chopped/pulled pork and brisket. Sides were adequate, but the pulled pork was solid. I sampled a bite of the brisket and found it flavorful, but a little dry. Sauce selection was good, vinegar, mustard, and two versions of tomato.

Lovely spot! First impression is the clean tables and thermostat temperature. There was a line, but we took that as a good sign. Prices and portions are reasonable and service was excellent! Solid brisket, hot fries, crispy hush puppies and last but not least tasty add-your-own-sauce bbq (vinegar, mustard, etc.) We’ll definitely be back!

This little place is a hidden gem that everyone should run to! Our vacationing group of six wanted a different meal than the beach vibe and this was a well chosen win! The brisket was great. Choose the mac and cheese or the onion rings for your sides. Win, win! Then the homemade banana pudding is outstanding!

I have Celiac disease and they went above and beyond to make sure the food was safe. I did not get sick and the food was wonderful. I had the brisket and pulled pork and the BBQ sauce was good too. Highly recommend. The people were wonderful and nice! I will definitely be back and will tell friends and family that travel down to definitely give it a try!

It’s a great place to eat. I stopped by around lunch time and got a brisket sandwich. You can taste how perfectly it was smoked no sauce needed !

I was in Myrle Beach, saw the sign and stopped in. The staff were very nice and courteous. I ordered the brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and hush puppies. The food was delicious. I could taste the smokiness in the brisket. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

I grew up in NC where we use a vinegar base for our BBQ. I had always heard of that SC uses a mustard sauce so I wanted to seek out a local BBQ place to give it a try. This little place came up in my search and it was right around the corner. As many local places that're any good, the outside doesn't look like much and is attached to a gas station. The inside isn't much to speak of either. A few old school booths, a couple of tables and a counter where all the business is done. But, it's clean and the folks are friendly and efficient with their service. We made our selection, placed our order, and then grabbed our drinks and sauces. Before we could sit down our plates were ready. The pulled pork BBQ was excellent as is, but it was enhanced by all the sauces. I tried a little of all of them and they were all fantastic. He had the brisket plate. The brisket is cocked for 9 hours and was so tender. I saw another review here that stated the brisket was mostly fat. That was not our experience. Yes, there was some fat, but that's the nature of a brisket. We found it to be some of the best brisket we've eaten. Again the sauces paired well. The potato salad and cole slaw were delicious as well. As for the mustard sauce? Well, I'll admit it was very good, but I'm not a convert. I still love my eastern NC vinegar base.

Locally highly recommended... brisket dry as hell, ribs tough as shit... bbq sauce was great but couldn't help wash it down. Do not recommend.

Um, let's see. Not a fan. In fact, was very disappointed with the brisket. Wanted to try the ribs, but were sold out. The sauce, Rob or Ron, was actually good. It actually helped the brisket a little. The brisket wasn't moist, rather dry. I couldn't pick up on any kind of special rub. I wish I would've taken a picture, but forgot. From what was expressed, this place has good bbq, but that wasn't my experience. I've have some amazing brisket and know good brisket when I see and taste it. And unfortunately, this wasn't the case.

Visited the Little Pigs Bar-B-Q today for lunch. It was ok noting that everyone has their own favorite type and region of Bar-b-que. Little Pigs variation was respectable. I ordered the chopped Bar-b-que sandwich. I would have enjoyed it much more if it had been served at a warmer temperature. The hush puppies and onion rings were fine.

Little Pigs Bar B-Q is the best. They have been serving legitimate South Carolina hickory smoked meats since 1998. 25 years of excellence located next to the Circle K gas station and a liquor store.

South Carolina BBQ that chops the pork on the spot. Grilled pulled pork sandwiches did not disappoint, neither did a nice styrofoam cup of sweet tea. Mouth waters just remembering it. No frills tables and chairs, gives you the feel of a BBQ joint. Standard service.

The food was great, service great , it's in need of an update. I had the beef brisket it was wonderful, moist and meaty the coke slaw was good the onion rings were fantastic. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The ambiance was ok it's a BBQ JOINT no issues. I can't wait to try the ribs.

The staff was really friendly and nice, good service. Good....the brisket and pulled pork was good but the sides were just ok. Cute little spot.

Absolutely loved the brisket sandwich, simple and cheap. The coleslaw was bomb, the baked beans was bomb, the mac was bomb, i wish the portions was just a little more cause I'm fat and it was that l lol but overall bang for your buck! Definitely coming back.

I have to say I wasn't impressed. I went and dined in. The service was fast and friendly. The place is clean. But extremely hot inside. I was sweating the whole time I was eating. They do have ceiling fans but they are on low and will not go higher. Now for the food review, which is what my stars are based on... I got the brisket plate sandwich with 2 sides, Mac&cheese and the beans. The sides were good. The brisket however, was mostly all fat and not much meat. So that was disappointing. I wouldn't go back. But that's just my opinion.

The pull pork and desserts were delicious.But couldn't order any ribs because it wasn't the weekend when we went. They only provide ribs on the weekend.

Yummm ordered family pack with coleslaw and onion rings with a half rack ribs- and there is only two of us- let's say we definitely have leftovers The coleslaw was warm but it is the best I have had in a long while! Live the mustard and vinegar sauces- the mild is delicious too

Pulled pork and Brisket was great the sides were ok. Great family like atmosphere and customer service.

I had seen multiple locations while visiting the area, so I figured I would give it a shot. Overall the food was just ok, but the sauce was good. They had a sweet bbq and a Carolina mustard sauce, both good. For food, I had the half slab of ribs, baked beans and hush puppies. The ribs tender and smoked well, but very bland without the sauce.

Service was good. Environment was good but what you would expect in small restaurant next to gas station. Prices were very reasonable. Sauce choices very good. Pork was a 3 of 5, good but not very good. Onion rings good but overcooked. French fries good but only warm. Potato salad pretty good.

Family pack was great. However we were told it was only "to go".... They were out of Brisket when we went so that was a bummer. Will try again but with the understanding that if you get family pack, you have to take it to go...

We had pulled pork, brisket, chicken nuggets, burgers, hush puppies, fries and onion rings. It was all delicious. I wish we had gone on a weekend so we could have tried the ribs, I would be willing to bet they are unbelievable. Go here. Staff was very nice, little spot but not cramped.we were 5 at a table and we managed.

Our first night in Myrtle beach we didn't want to break the bank, but still wanted good food. Some people in our party voted for this yelp find. My son was doubtful when he saw it was attached to a gas station, but I told him he would soon be proven wrong. He was. He has never had brisket and loved it. So I had some of his chicken and fries and that was really good. Cooked perfectly. Uncle Mike enjoyed his pork and said it was really good portions. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. The sauces were great. Robs sauce was recommended and that was best, but I tried the mustard and vinegar BBQ sauce and both of those were good too. Decor was super cute and there's plenty of seating for our party of 6 and then some. Yay

Unknown gem. Just tried and loved it. Great prices, compared to Dickeys - the $8.99 lunch special features sandwich and two sides. Hush puppies were first class as were crunchy sweet potato bake- a long list of other sides avail too / place is clean, comfortable seating, on point staff, etc. couldn't have been better.

Bar B Q Sandwich Plate was very good, food was out quick. Would recommend to anyone who is hungry.

Beef brisket was horrible, almost all fat, onion rings were good, hush puppies had very little flavor, baked beans were decent and carrot cake was decent. Threw all the meat in the trash!! One and done here! If you want amazing beef brisket go to Louis Ribs in Charleston, SC.

The gold standard! Family run, great BBQ a d sides. A must stop every week we are here. Note the beans are great but even better with adding the pork are roasting at home on day 2!

OMG!!! If you want the best bbq, this is the place. The beef brisket was sooooo good. French fries and onion rings are crunchy and full of flavor. Pulled pork was excellent. But the best was chocolate cake with chocolate and peanut butter frosting. Bought two extra to bring home.

My family and I tried out Little Pigs BBQ because we wanted some good barbecue. Unfortunately, this was middle school cafeteria barbecue, and they got my order wrong on top of it. Did a cursory search for the best barbecue in Myrtle Beach, and this place was always near the top. (...Now, I think that's really because there aren't that many options around here.) We wanted to support local, and so we called them up to place an order. I don't think they use online ordering apps. The menu isn't really online and asked what I should get. The "family pack" was good enough for four people, and they certainly focus on pulled pork. What little information is online, it just says "a half pound of meat" - I understand the name of this place is Little Pigs, but is it pulled pork or slabs of pork or pork ribs, is it another way? I also asked if the beans had meat in them, since a lot of places in Kansas City put burnt ends or bacon in beans. He had no idea and it seemed like he had never been asked such a question. Not a good sign. My interaction in the restaurant was very quick, I just grabbed my food and left. The inside was very much like a diner from the 60s. No frills. The family pack comes with two sides and tons and sweet tea and meat. I didn't inspect the food they gave me because it was all wrapped up and I can't just chill in the restaurant. What I found was that the meat was put in a Styrofoam cup that I thought was the sweet tea. And so then there was no sweet tea. You would think they would have to go orders a little bit more thought out than putting a pound of pulled pork in a sweet tea container...? For someone who loves BBQ, the food was very mediocre at best. The pork was not seasoned and had no flavor. The beans were basically out of a can, but not even Bush's Baked Beans-level. And that's saying something. The mild sauce was unremarkable, and the hot sauce was just the mild sauce with cayenne pepper put in. Tasted like it was from a jug. The coleslaw was shredded into oblivion. Overall, not a good meal, and that's unfortunate.

Service was quick and order came out as we requested, so that's positive. We sat outside and there were a ton of flies from their trash which were so annoying. We got brisket, pulled pork, potato salad, hush puppies and Mac n cheese. Meat didn't have much flavor. Brisket was just okay. Pulled pork was super dry and chopped finely, so not the texture I would expect. Mac n cheese tasted like dry Stouffer's. Potato salad was heavily mashed. No chunks. Hush puppies were good for South Carolina. Overall, not impressed and wouldn't go out of my way for it, but would eat it again if someone else pays and my options are limited.

This is good barbecue. They are quick service and the potato salad is great. This is a small establishment but great to eat.

We searched for a little place that was NOT touristy and we hit the Jackpot! This little restaurant is way out of the busy areas near the shore but it's only a 10 minute drive. When we pulled-up the parking lot was packed and there were people sitting inside and outside. This place is a little hole in the wall and you'd drive by it if you weren't looking for it. There's nothing special about the esthetics of this location but that's not why we were there!! We ordered the family package which would not have been enough to feel 4 hungry adults so we added a pound of brisket too. All the meat was served dry which was perfect because they offer 4 different sauces!!! The sides, the meat and the sweet tea were all absolutely perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything more....except for it to be cheaper. This was definitely not a cheap meal but was not grossly overpriced. Overall I would recommend this place especially for someone looking to get away from all the high-priced tourist traps of Myrtle Beach!!

Very limited menu. Only pork (ribs or pulled) bbq. No BBQ chicken. I don't go to a BBQ joint for chicken tenders.

The smoked bbq chicken was flavorful and very tender but it definitely could have used a lot more bbq sauce. The mac and cheese was very average...maybe even velveta. The fries arrived like warm. We ordered fried green tomatoes and asked for no bacon but they left the bacon on so we had to throw them out. The options for side dishes without bacon were few.

Hadn't been to Myrtle Beach for several years the bbq at little pigs was as good as I remember. Best pulled pork at the beach. The stew and rice was excellent. So glad the quality hadn't changed. Excellent food and affordable. We will continue to be loyal customers when visiting Myrtle!

This little place is on the service road next to Rt 17 next to a Circle K gas station. It doesn't look like much on the inside but don't let the location and ambiance dissuade you. The food is fabulous and the steady stream of customers cueing up at 11:30am is proof enough. I had the 1/4 brisket sandwich with onion rings and cole slaw. The brisket was tender with just enough fat cap to keep everything moist. The medium sauce was spectacular. And the sides did not disappoint. The onion rings were fried perfectly. But the cole slaw was the real sleeper. It was heavily minced and looked very bland on the plate but the blend of mayo and vinegar provided just the right twang. It was a real surprise. These folks really know what they are doing! Best on the beach for good reason!

We looked up BBQ on Yelp and Little Pigs seemed to have the best reviews, so we decided to try it out! It was SOOO good! Pork was tender and incredible smoked flavor, brisket was juicy and delicious! Mac and cheese and baked beans both had great flavor. We also ordered an extra side of hush puppies, which don't pass up on!! So yummy!! Thank you for the delicious food!!!! Our plates were empty and our bellies were full!!!

Excellent BBQ. Fresh and tasty. Rob's Secret Sauce is the best. If we lived here I'd eat here weekly.

This is the best barbecue we have found in the area! Ordered the regular Bar-B-Q sandwich plate. Hand chopped to order. 5 sauces. Hot food hot, cold food cold. Baked beans yummy. Potato salad the most delicious this epic week of trying all the local Q. They wouldn't selll me any Mac and cheese cause it wasn't ready! Respect! Sweet to tea to wet my whistle. Hub had the same except Cole slaw instead of the beans. Total was under a $20 bill

Great little BBQ place. Doesn't look like much but the BBQ was delicious and the sauces were amazing. Make sure to add Rob's sauce in your fries and BBQ. It makes all the difference.

5 stars for the pulled pork sandwich, which is all I went for. The pork was moist and tender and the mustard sauce was delicious. I would definitely return.

I love this place!!! Came here as a kid and haven't been back until today , food is just as good as then . Love "robs secret sauce " along w/ the other sauces as well ... Also try the hush puppies , they are freakin good I'll be back for sure !!!!

We are locals me and my husband went in the other day to eat lunch and we got one drink to share and we both ordered a sandwich and fries anyway went to go get a refill and was told we were not allowed to get a refill because we share the same cup what difference does it make I paid for the drink I paid for my food so why can I not have a refill because we share the same cups that is ridiculous been eating there for years but they made me not want to return

Had the bbq sandwich, it was ok, nothing to write home about, bun was kind of limp, but the meat was tasty. Onion rings were a bit greasy and fused together, baked beans may have been out of a can. BBQ sauces sitting on a counter all day, probably wouldn't pass an inspection...

My favorite bbq place in Myrtle Beach. I have been eating here for over 20 years. On May 23, 2022, as usual, I got the jumbo bbq pork plate with onion rings and fries. The hot sauce is so good that I want to drink it. The sauce has some pep in it. I love it. Portions are excellent and the price has not jumped like a lot of other eateries in the area.

If you saw any of my other reviews you would see one for Mediterranean Bistro. I loved it, so we headed back there before we leave tomorrow. We ordered our food for take out and the wait was going to be 45 minutes. It's worth the wait. Anyway, while waiting we decided to try little pigs BBQ. We walked and were greeted right away by a young girl who was very sweet. I'm not big in BBQ at all so my husband just got the pork sandwich with hot bbq sauce. Of course I had to try it and wow!!! It was so friggin good, best I've ever had. Had to go back in and buy a pound for tomorrow, we are leaving Myrtle but needed to take some home. This is a great find for us and once again you won't be disappointed. Staff is kind and friendly and they smiley and then the food is amazing... it's just a win win. With the reviews they already have I can't believe I missed this one (at least for my husband). I definitely would've gone here sooner. I'm glad I found it and I'll be back next year. Come to Little Pigs if you love BBQ... even if you don't. They just may make you a lover like they did me :)

The bbq brisket was plentiful for the sandwiches we purchase. However the sides was plain french fries, cold slaw not the best. Fountain drink no favor..I give 3 star for the brisket only.

This is probably the best place I've been to so far for bbq. The brisket is absolutely to die for. I ask for lean and I get lean. Hot food for cold nights. All the trimmings. The coleslaw is delicious and crunchy not soggy from days of sitting there. They are fast in and out service and no matter how late it's fresh tasting and not dried out. I could eat this everyday. I hate bbq places that overuse the sauce so all you taste is bbq sauce. Here you taste the meat Awesome my number one bbq place here in Myrtle

One of the best bbq places I've ever happened upon. Stick to their pulled poor and then indulge in incredible sauces, especially the vinegar. Mix that with their preferred house sauce. I've eaten bbq around the world. Probably 25-30 different locations. This is top 5.

This used to be one of my favorite places but the quality has slipped so far down!! Their partner store in Surfside is huge difference! This location would be hard to imagine to be owned by the same owner. Dry and crusty meat, flavorless, old dry baked beans, and awful disgusting bathrooms. If you ever liked Little Pigs, then SKIP this location and visit their Surfside Beach location.

This place has all the ambience of an urban Chinese take out. If you can get past that, the food is great. It has a small menu of sides, all of which are great. Definitely the best hush puppies and onion rings I ever had. Pulled pork is their main menu item and it is the best in Myrtle Beach. Rob has his own BBQ sauce which is always worth stealing a little extra in a to go container. I come to MB once a year and we usually eat here 2 or 3 times each trip. Rob never lets us down. Oh and the price is quite reasonable.
