This restaurant is in a great location right by the Convention Center. The decor is simple and appealing. The place is really clean and the service is quick and efficient. The food cost WAY TOO MUCH for what it is. If I would have known your bland Mac and cheese (more like macaroni salad) was $6 for a tiny cup of it I would have said no thank you! $4 for fries with a Ruben sandwich? My burger was good but it wasn’t worth what it cost. It isn’t a place I will be beating down the door to visit again and I probably wouldn’t recommend it. Who has a bigger alcoholic drink menu than food ? I kept looking for more food on the menu. The waitress said of you are missing one. But guess what? All I was missing was a wine menu! No thanks!

Was very excited to try the restaurant after seeing the menu online and pictures. The appetizer was great and drinks. I was not too impressed with the main course. The steak could have used seasoning, in generous amounts. It was not worth the price. Service was friendly and prompt however!

First off the staff was easily 5 star level!!! The food quality was good so this place gets a 4 star over all Oh but also best hot sauce ever so we took a picture of it The grapefruit mimosa I had was excellent but the cranberry mimosa was underwhelming for me THB Still an excellent brunch spot and again staff was amazing !

A cute little fancy restaurant. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Do note there are off-the-menu items but you have to ask if they don’t tell you. ~The patty melt. An off the menu item. It was a 2 patty grilled onion and cheese on sourdough bread that comes with house chips. (It was a good sandwich but you can find a better valued sandwich elsewhere. I do recommend you ask for some extra wasp sauce (thousand island) or hot sauce for the missing acid in the dish.) Fyi. Wait to be seated. They will bring you water as soon as you sit down. They have interesting drink menu.

Hands down the best "small salad" I've had in a long time! The goat cheese wasn't overpowering and the added nuts and toppings were a nice surprise. I'm so glad I opted to work here this afternoon. The environment was welcoming and service was great! If you need a nice business lunch in downtown Fort Worth I highly recommend!

Had dinner here after a show at the convention center as it was a close walk and looked cool. It was a bit crowded, so there was a wait, but we were able to find a seat at the bar which suited us better anyway. The bartender was really nice and even made my preferred drink exactly the way I asked him to. (Hate to be that guy, but I was craving it.) In addition to a local brew they had on tap. I had the fish and chips which was delicious, crisp and well prepared. The cole slaw was a good touch too.

We had a good dinner here with great service. The Maine Diver Scallops were briney and perfectly cooked with a creamy polenta; the Steak Frites were portioned just right with the beef also cooked perfectly. We had mixed results with the cocktails: they special made a Pear Mimosa from their brunch menu that is not normally available for dinner and it was great, but the Little Red Wasp was meh. The noise level and somewhat pricey menu keep this from being a five-star review, but LRW is a good time.

I ordered a chicken fried chicken. Well served and very tasty. My buddy ordered the carnitas. Very impressive with great flavor. Also tried the brisket pot stickers. They were pretty good.

Yelp
Will return for good service and foood. High ceiling, brick walls, booths and tables. The only down side is - two tv monitors are bid small but again, this isn't a sports bar and my aging eyes are on the decline. Wait time was minimal. Server did an excellent job answering questions and guiding our dining choices. Service was prompt with food pleasantly presented and still warm. Might try something else on another trip.

Yelp
Will return for good service and foood. High ceiling, brick walls, booths and tables. They were willing to change one tv to French Open tennis - thank you very much. The only down side is - two tv monitors are bid small but again, this isn't a sports bar and my aging eyes are on the decline. We've Kale salad and Ruben - both are good. Getting there at the tight time, it was only half full. By the time we almost done, it became full: the convention attendees are pouring in for their lunch. We would sit a little longer to watch Joao Fonesca's defeat of Pierre-Hugues Herbert, but when the girl came by, asking if we need anything, we asked for the bill. She said ok and then proceeded to take the cream and sugar away. The manager (?) told her not to do it quietly and she put them back - I appreciated this kind gesture - thank you.

Yelp
Super cute place within walking distance from just about anywhere downtown. I had a tight meeting scheduled so I ordered their lunch Cobb to go from the bar. The bartender that took my order was very nice and the meal was prepared and packaged in about five minutes. When I got it back to my room, it was quite delicious. I look forward to dining in during a future visit to Fort Worth.

Yelp
Nothing about this restaurant stood out. The service was mediocre, the apps were solid and the drinks were ok. I'm not sure if early evening was too soon for the staff to find their groove but even with reservations they seemed kinda lost. We had to ask for more waters and drinks long after they were empty.

Yelp
Cute place! Little Wasp is such a cute spot in a really aesthetic area--perfect for brunch with a group. The brunch menu is a bit limited, but the options they do have are solid, and everything we tried was great. Service was super friendly, and the Bloody Mary? Fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has always been great. Good service, clean, and great food except they no longer have the delicious rolls. Big mistake! But the salmon was solid and my coworkers liked their scallops and grits.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was mediocre for the price. I don't like to eat eggs on my toast so I moved them to the side which revealed a super thin layer of avocado mash that more resembled guacamole than a nice avocado spread. You can get more avocado on toast at coffee shops for less $. The layer of ricotta was also super sparse as you can see in the photo. The sourdough toast was soggy and lacked integrity/crunch perhaps because it was sliced kind of thin compared to others I'm used to. The chicken on the chicken biscuit was probably the best thing we ate because it was hot, crispy, and had good flavor - the biscuit was underwhelming and the gravy was not hot - parts of the gravy came out warm and others were barely warm which made it congeal and get cold quite fast. The taste of the gravy also left something to be desired.

Yelp
Every July we are n Ft Worth for an event & we always look forward to dining at the Little Red Wasp. We were there Monday, the 28th. We ordered 3 entrees. Cobb salad, Cod & chips, the Buffalo wings. The Cobb had been prepared for awhile, so soggy, wilted, and tomatoes mushy. I do not recommend the wings or the fish & chips, flavorless. The fries were good. I hate to post this review, but to thine own self be true. I hope it helps.

Yelp
This little restaurant is tucked between all these high-end places. We had a late lunch. A chicken Caesar salad A kids fries was 18 with substitute of fries two waters and one beer 57 coconuts The salad was the size of a side salad, and there was less than 1/2 of the chicken breast the chicken kids meal. 18 coconuts. Server was very nice

Yelp
Honestly don't understand how this restaurant has 4 stars. Our group made reservations at LRW since it is close to the convention center where we were attending an event. The fish and chips were dry and fried unevenly. At least the fries were decent. Definitely not worth the $31 price tag. Have you ever seen an anemic chicken fried chicken? That's what we were served. The fry on the chicken was so pale, and the mashed potatoes with gravy taste was bland. The Brussels sprouts tasted like they were microwaved, not freshly roasted. They weren't crispy at all and were soaking in liquid in the bowl. The spaghetti meatballs taste like cheap freezer meatballs that you get from a grocery store. I think this restaurant survives alone on hotel guests and convention center attendees. Overpriced and underwhelming. At least the service was fine.

Yelp
So decided to do a follow up on this place. Had the shrimp roll, the green eggs and ham and the bread pudding. Service was first class and love the ambiance there. It was a low key Sunday for us. Green Eggs and Ham had an amazing flavor that was balanced well with the cheese and the avocado. The Shrimp Roll was VERY fresh and very good flavor. The Bread Pudding was very good and the pecans in the bourbon caramel sauce was very good.

Yelp
It smells like sewer gas or something bad when you walk in. Service was not impressive. They were not busy but they kept using that excuse when we had to wait for server to bring ketchup and then water, etc. First server knew what cider was and what the restaurant had. So I had to order it at the bar. Food was ok. Reuben and brisket French dip. Won't be back. We will try the other restaurants next time we are here.

Yelp
worst chicken I ever had the cook didn't cook the chicken I eat food for a living this shit was ass

Yelp
This downtown location with valet parking if needed, is a lively fun spot with upscale sandwiches and salads. We had scallops and grits and the pork shank tacos. Both were very well prepared and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. the restaurant has a cool bar, nice booths and would be appropriate for all age groups, business, friends, family. this was a great spot and I will return. Dishes are a bit expensive but that is dining out now, right?

Yelp
Can't say much about the vibe of this place since we ordered for takeout. We found this place through google maps and it was literally right by our hotel, so my husband went and picked it up. We ordered a few things: - Deviled Eggs: good, they did not skimp out on the filling. - Donut Holes: a nice little sweet treat after our meal. -Reuben: my husband said it was good. -Salmon & Lox Bagel: this was good too, but I've had better elsewhere. Overall, the food was good, we'll keep this restaurant in mind next time we're in town.

Yelp
Upon arrival, there was a faint odor resembling old cleaning water. The vent near the host stand had condensation on it, and a water droplet fell on my head. This issue definitely needs to be addressed. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich for my meal which was tasty but definitely not worth the $19 price tag. The chicken was well-seasoned, and the slaw, sauce, and jalapeños made for a great combination. The meal comes with house-made chips, which were just okay. We initially got an old batch that wasn't crunchy, but our waitress noticed this on her own and promptly brought us a fresh batch straight from the fryer. While I enjoyed my meal it's nothing that I plan to return to order again.

Yelp
This place is always a good choice Downtown. It's a pretty small menu but everything I've tried here is yummy. Today I got the Reuben on the brunch menu, and the little got the kids pasta with red sauce (which she swears is the best pasta sauce she's ever had). Service is consistent and attentive, and the vibe is chill and laid back.

Yelp
The restaurant was nice; bathroom was clean. Not much going on as far as decor and there was a nice seating area. Reminded me of a diner. Our bartender was friendly and funny. He was quick to answer all of our questions about the food items. I had to remind him about the condiments I ordered with my burger, be he got it quickly. I got the cheeseburger and a Dos Equis; $21 for the two. The patty tasted burnt. The bread was great. Toppings tasted fresh. The chips weren't seasoned at all, though they had a nice crisp to them. The meal was alright; I wouldn't order it again.

Yelp
Had a quick lunch on the patio and it was so nice. I had the avocado toast scrambled... must try the salsa verde it's warm and one of the best I've had. Service was so so but overall a great spot to try.

Yelp
We had an amazing meal! I enjoyed Grandma's Chicken Dinner and my husband and son each had the Brisket Dip. The side Caesar that accompanied one of the dips was the best he's had.

Yelp
I was staying in downtown Austin, and decided to walk over to the little red wasp for a bite to eat. It was during that very, very cold snap in January, so I didn't want to go too far from my hotel. The inside of the restaurant had a bit of a diner feel to it. Very simple but sufficient. I sat at the bar, selected a beef dish from the menu and it was delish. Their drink menu seemed to have a lot of variety on it, but their wine was incredibly limited. I requested two different wines that were on their menu, and they were out of stock. The bartender was very kind and attentive, and she said they were reworking their wine menu, which is why things I had requested were not available. I might give it a try again in the future.

Yelp
Service: Absolutely amazing! We made a reservation for a party of 6 which turned into 7 ppl and they were so accommodating. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with the menu selection Ambience: It was a Friday night, busy and loud Food: I had the dinner spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious. The portion was huge, I was not able to finish it. Alcoholic beverages: They had a great selection and even a special menu which contained the staffs personal mix drink!

Yelp
I was sadly disappointed. A group of us was in town on business and this place was near hotel downtown. The interior and atmosphere was nice but the food was decent but price was ridiculous! I understand restaraunts upcharge for drinks but $20 for an appetizer sized cobb salad??? And to add insult to injury, I asked if he could nix the blu cheese crumbles and give me ranch dressing instead. He told me it would be an extra $1 for the substitute of ranch??? The small salad came out and it was a little mushy bcuz of all of the soft ingredients ( i.e. avo, egg, tomatoes etc..) so I politely asked if I could add a couple of croutons. I was told that they didn't have croutons- but i clearly saw a diner next to me with croutons on their plate (not a salad) which is what gave me the idea to ask for them. The waiter said that he could bring me some sourdough bread and I was happy...until he said it would be another $1 for a slice of bread. And I do mean one small slice of bread!! SMH!!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere with interesting choices on the menu. Service was great and super friendly. Unique drinks were fun. My only complaint is it smelled terrible. I couldn't tell if it was sewage, or brussel sprouts or fish. It was just so odd and strong and wouldn't go away. Otherwise super nice and fun!

Yelp
I had the opportunity to eat at Little Red Wasp during a work trip. I would actually give them 3.5 stars. The customer service was excellent, every server was pleasant, and the bar tender did a good job making all our drinks. The reason why I didn't give them higher stars is due to the appetizer ls simply not being or tasting very good. We tried the pot stickers and the deviled eggs, and I would not recommend ordering these at all. I ordered the scallops meal for dinner, and that was excellent. It was cooked perfectly, and I would recommend trying this delicious dish. The portions for the meals were relatively small, with the exception of the chicken dish. This restaurant is a nice date night restaurant and I would recommend going just for drinks instead.

Yelp
Really enjoyed meeting friends here on a Sunday for brunch. They accommodated our big group and everyone loved their apps, meals, and drinks. Restaurant was clean and modern.

Yelp
Nice sit down space with booths and open tables. Open bar area. Quick wait time for a busy Fourth of July weekend. Ordered a quick appetizer.

Yelp
I've been a few times. It's a nice place to have lunch, dinner, or brunch downtown. The service is always great and the food is always quality. I recently had a patty melt for lunch (it was the daily special) and it was definitely elevated. House made thousand island sauce with sriracha sauce with a double patty on rye. It was delicious! Their house made chips are crispy and not greasy. They have a big bar for sitting too and a pretty extensive drink menu. It's a little on the pricier side; however, the food and service level supports.

River B.

Yelp
The manager was a bit rude, but other than that our server was awesome and we would definitely recommend the chicken biscuit and avocado toast!!
google avatar

Brad N.

Yelp
Good happy hour, great atmosphere, food was quite tasty. The place does have a bit of an odor, but that's not their fault. It's probably something to do with the city sewer lines.
google avatar

Genel S.

Yelp
I came here with a few friends for a quick bite to eat because it was a couple blocks from the hotel that I was staying at. We ordered appetizers and shared everything. By far, my favorite menu item was the whipped ricotta appetizer drizzled with honey, placed on top of toasted bread and fresh tomatoes, this dish was delicious! The brisket potstickers and chicken wings were both good. I was a little disappointed in the deviled eggs, they were on the dry side. Our server was nice, but it seemed like the service was a little bit on the slow side in getting our drinks, drink refills, extra napkins, etc. definitely a cute place, but the menu was a little limited. They do have daily food specials so that's a plus.
google avatar

Roll N.

Yelp
We came here for a quick lunch before the airport. We came on a Saturday morning and the place was more than half empty. I would imagine it would be more busy for dinner. I had the double burger and it was a decent burger. The kids pasta was just ok, my kid loves pasta, but he just wasn't into it. Service was a bit slow for the place being so empty, but if you're looking for a quiet place for lunch, this is it.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Staff was super friendly and service was fast. However the food for several of our dishes was cold and not very fresh. Most of us just picked at our food and took nothing home. Maybe it was a bad day not sure but the food definitely wasn't over the top memerable.
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
We stopped in before lunch and dinner around 4pm and the restaurant was quiet but the service and meal was exceptional! As a couple we shared: - Brisket potstickers - double cheeseburger - mac & cheese - local tomatoes While everything was good, the only thing we wouldn't necessarily order again was the mac. The crispy onions on top made the dish - mac alone was bland. It's cozy and dark, nice for a date, girls night or boys night. Service was quick and friendly! We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Best food for GF and DF folks. Green beans were fantastic! Fresh and cooked to perfection. Had chicken salad sandwich on the best GF bun! I will dream about that! Went back for dinner and had the Rueben. So good!! Limeade Strawberry basil mocktail was fantastic!!
google avatar

Maritza F.

Yelp
We had their Thursday special the Philly cheesesteak and the pulled pork sandwich, both with French fries which was an added charge because sandwiches come with their chips. We came back Friday and had their cheeseburger and crispy chicken sandwich. To drink we had a Dr Pepper, piña colada, and lavender lemonade. Service was good. Food was good. Time was good. It wasn't busy. It was clean. People were friendly. Sodas come in bottles. Piña colada was too sweet.

Yelp
We valeted for parking so we didn't have to worry. We did not have a reservation and they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday but there were just two of us. The food was good. I always love a good chicken fried chicken and the portion was huge. I would say skip the Parker bread rolls and the donuts because neither were anything super super amazing. The brisket potstickers were fun. Cesar salad was alright, hey it's just a Cesar. Dessert. Oh dessert. We had all three. I think the bread pudding was for sure the stand out and so was the cheesecake. The donuts were layered and flaky (I'm not big on donuts) but meh nothing super cool. Our waiter's name was Ebony and she was super great and got our food out fast (which is always nice). Overall, very fun and nice place. They had a lot of fun season drinks that I wish we could have tried.

Yelp
Ate here with a group from work on recommendation from our hotel. Overall it was pretty good but it was a little weird to start off. We had a group of 7 and when we arrived and inquired about a table (with it being 5:30 and the bulk of the restaurant being empty) we were told they could seat us but we had to be done by 6:30pm. Really strange but we agreed. The chips and dips were really good and the deviled eggs were ok... a little bland and dry. Several of us ordered the chicken fried chicken which came out quickly. The issue was that the breading was too thick and very bland. Because it was thick it was also oily as it held onto the grease from frying. The gravy needed salt but the potatoes were pretty good. The actual star of the meal were the local fresh tomatoes. They were excellent but the rest of the meal was just ok. Could have definitely been better but I would like to go back and try a different dish.
google avatar

Diana F.

Yelp
A larger group of us arrived from all over and they accommodated when we needed to add another. This was so kind. The server was extremely sweet, personable, offered help with selections and gave good recommendations. I got the bitter cold and it was a pretty pink, and super tasty! I also ordered the crispy chicken, potatoes and Brussels sprouts with her recommendation and was NOT disappointed. It was so good i literally finished it all. I would recommend coming here. The restaurant was buzzing with chatter and rather loud although it was a Friday night. My one reservation is that a lot of the food seemed fried or "fancy fried" which can be hard on some people's digestion although there's alt options.

Rollin H.

Yelp
This has been our fun getaway for drinks and lunch (halibut fish and chips were the bomb) on the way to windstar. So disappointed when we stopped there on Tuesday!! No more halibut fish and chips it's cod now so we tried it. So sorry we didn't take a pic but it was burnt and nothing but grease. Portions have definitely shrunk and the top shelf margaritas were a disappointment also. When I complained to the bartenders they were flippant and could care less. We are looking for a new downtown getaway now!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice clean friendly place Very attentive. Excellent bar! Best old fashion I have had (besides mine). Espresso Martini was on point. They make all their own syrups.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
I went here with my bff after a spa day. The food was delicious! We started off with a Bloody Mary for my friend and a flavored mimosa. They were both very good and very typical for those drinks. We then had deviled eggs and the rolls. The deviled eggs were delicious and flavored just right. I'm very picky on this dish, and I thought they did it justice. The rolls come out hot, with butter and they melt in your mouth! Then my friend had the Rueben and I had the corn beef hash. Both were very delicious and perfectly done. I would definitely recommend a visit when you're in Ft. Worth. I plan to go back for dinner and try out their evening cocktails and food!
google avatar

Tiks S.

Yelp
Quick place to pick up lunch. Prices were on par for the area. Server Ebony was friendly and gave great suggestions for what to order. Pittsburg drink was tasty. I would order it again. Not too sweet and just the right amount of alcohol. The substitute green beans for chips were great. Shrimp roll was yum with the pickled onions and it came with a side of butter. Also tried the lavender lemonade that was more lavender then lemonade and very refreshing.
google avatar

Kristan V.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I am still thinking about the ricotta and tomato appetizer I had. We recommended to the rest of our group for evening drinks and appetizers.

Yelp
Little Red Wasp is a bar-like brunch spot in Downtown Fort Worth. Located near the convention center, this spot has tough parking. We found parking on the street a couple blocks away. They have indoor and outdoor seating here. If you sit outside, you can bring your pets. We came here for brunch. The restaurant has a bunch of different salad, burgers, sandwiches, soups and egg options. I got the green eggs and ham plus deviled eggs and ricotta cheese for an appetizer. It was okay. Just a typical brunch bar-spot... not bad but nothing special.

Yelp
Apps & Drinks Review We stopped in at a weird time while waiting on a late dinner date. We just sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks and an appetizer. The chips and dip was a large portion! Not fancy, just chips and ranch dip. I could give 5 stars because the service was just - eh, ok. We sat at the bar when the place was empty which is a prime opportunity to get great service. There were serval bartenders behind the bar and they kept our water full but not personable or helpful. I would try again and order a meal, the food looked tasty.

Danelle S.

Yelp
Very good food! Had the chips and dip (by accident - they brought it to the wrong table) and the whipped ricotta (on purpose). Both were great. Found out they only source their food items from their county, so they are going to local farmers and farmers markets for them, which is nice. Got the chicken fried chicken and Brussels sprouts - very tasty. Drinks were a bit slow to come out of the bar, hence the 4 star review. Our server was great! It's a quiet place with a good atmosphere. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Don't you dare show up at 8:30 on a Thursday night. I was told immediately that the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes so I made sure to order the easiest and quickest thing on the menu. I also ordered a beer. Food showed up about 10 minutes later and I did not have a napkin or silverware because the bartender made it very clear they were closing at nine and he was not going to engage with me again until I had finished my food because "they were about to close". Silverware and a napkin would have been nice seeing as I ordered fish and chips, and one more beer would have also been nice and I would have taken care of the bartender for the simple fact that I knew I was coming in towards the end of service. I travel to Fort Worth about five times a year for business and this is definitely the first and last time I will ever support this business again.
