Food is decent, and typical flavors for a hotpot place. When we were there, they were really busy that they forgot to bring stuffs we asked for. We had to ask our waiter three times before she brought us our water. Bathroom is decently clean. There's a parking garage on Green Street across the street.

Wife and easily split an order of beef with milky and spicy soups. The wings are crunchy and light while the yam and red beans was a nice sweet conclusion. Very clean and quiet atmosphere that is perfect for a date.

Good hang out place. Hot pot is not bad. AYCE is just $26.00. Good price.

Google
I love hot pot and this one has all the food I love! It's not really expensive as an AYCE restaurant with good quality food. They have sauce bar too! You can pick whatever sauce you like.

Google
Perfect place to have hotpot dish. This place serves tasty broth both spicy and regular. My favs are fish fillets, prime Lamb and shrimp. But consumes time.

I highly recommend the coconut juice. Excellent place to go with family and friends, the stock of the soup is delicious by itself, the staff was really helpful and friendly.

Yelp
It's like clockwork for us: Meatless Mondays ... Taco Tuesdays ... Hot Pot Fabulous Fridays And trust me we've tried EVERY SINGLE hot pot in the SGV but we keep coming back to Little Sheep. First and foremost even the simplest of the broths -- pork bone broth -- is bar none the best. You don't need to jack it up with sauces and chili oils. It's just divine! Then add the copious portion sizes, quality of veggies and meats, AND the cleanliness factor (sorry most other hot pot spots SEVERELY underperform here) and presto you have the perfect storm of a hot pot experience that will blow your mind! Don't forget about closing out your meal with a free tasty frozen yogurt with a machine they have behind the self serve sauce cold case.

Super tasty. It was clean. Clean meats. Good service. I highly recommend for hot pot!

Yelp
I had such high hope for this place.. The broth here is NOT GOOD. When eating hot pot, the taste of the whole meal depends on the broth. If the broth is not good, your whole meal will not be good. - HALF & HALF (Original & Spicy) 0/5 A big pot split in two, one being original and the other being spicy. They both have a lot of small stuff inside it, which doesn't taste good. The broth itself doesn't taste good either. (SEE PICTURE) We asked if we can change the broth because it was t r a s h and the lady server said yes, for $4. Okay, no thanks. We asked for hot water instead of a broth and she finally said yes. Hot water was a better broth than the actual broth they have. The meat is OK, nothing special. Sides suck, vegetables are not a big variety. WON'T BE BACK.

Yelp
Great location and super clean inside. Staff was friendly and attentive. Broths were so-so. The milky bone broth wasn't super flavorful but the spicy broth was delicious. They add A LOT of chili oil to the spicy broth so I will probably ask for less next time. The all you can eat option seems to be a better deal than the a la carte option. They offer a variety of veggies, meats, seafood, and noodles. I highly recommend the Mongolian Kimchi....it was sweeter than Korean Kimchi and included cabbage, carrots, and celery. It was absolutely delicious and I wish I could order a whole bowl of it to go. The sweeter kimchi was a nice balance with the spicy broth. They also offer a variety of sauces, dessert, and soft serve ice cream.

Yelp
I've been here around 5 times already but finally came around to writing a review. If you've never had Little Sheep's original milky marrow broth you are missing out! It's a flavor that you really don't forget and is a must try for first timers. The premium meat cuts are great! Tender and quick to cut, I would recommend just the top two lamb and beef choices. The other's can be a bit tough. In the winter season you can get AYCE any day of the week. If you have a bigger appetite I'd recommend AYCE over a la carte since it's more bang for your buck. I tried the tomato broth my most recent time here and it was a lot better than I anticipated. It tastes lighter than the original so it balances well. If you've never tried it before I'd also like to recommend these two items! Chrysanthemum (Tong Ho) Wood Ear Mushrooms

Yelp
For many years, my brother and I have been bringing our families to dine here since our kids love the options here. The broth is not greasy like many of the competing spicy hot pot restaurants nearby. All their meats are thinly sliced and fresh. Beef is very tender and marbled. We love the variety of vegetables here. Good news is they recently bought the all you can eat option back. This is your best bet for hot pot in my opinion if you're in the Pasadena area.

Yelp
Mongolian hot pot!! Who knew this was a thing??? My bf and I ventured out to Pasadena on a Saturday night and found this interesting restaurant. We already loved hot pot and Mongolian BBQ, but we had no idea there was such a thing as Mongolian hot pot!! The restaurant is really nice with modern decor and spacious seating. We were quickly seated arriving around 9pm. The ordering process is pretty simple. It's basically a la cart and you can choose as many items from the menu ( range $3 to $4 the meats are more ) by simply checking them off the ordering sheet. To start you choose your broth. We went with the half and half which was half spicy and half regular. Then we went a little crazy with the toppings and ordered noodles, mushrooms, Japanese pumpkin, bok choy, sesame bun, half order of beef and half order of lamb. To our surprise the sesame bun was the size of my head!! It was huge and very good! And we ate it all!! Both broths were also very good and it gave the meat a different flavor but I really loved the spicy broth more just because I love spicy food. We had so much fun playing with our food! Splashing and cooking all our items in both of the hot broths was so much fun. At one point I accidentally dropped my noodles that were cooking in the regular broth into the spicy broth as I was trying to put them in my bowl. Haha! There were still delicious!! We were pretty stuffed by the end but we managed to eat everything!! This place was such a treat! And I can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
I went with my boyfriend to eat some hot pot! I was very happy with the sauce options, free sides, and ice cream! The sesame balls were my favorite as a pre-appetizer We ordered All You Can Eat with half tomato pot and half spicy pot. Both were amazing! You get 3 rounds of all you can eat order but we were full after the 2nd round (haha)! The premium selection of meat and vegetables were superb too. We ordered meat balls, mushrooms, spam, seaweed, bok choy, and had the beef slices. Everything was fresh! I have to mention.. be careful with the spicy hot pot because it gets spicier the more it boils! Haha! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
If you're in the area and want some Mongolian hot pot, Little Sheep will do just fine. The staff is nice and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. I was pretty overwhelmed by all the choices when I first saw the checklist style order form they give you so we decided to go for the combo for two @ $39.99. There were three of us and we decided we'd order more if we needed more, but the combo was plenty for three of us. I had some wonderful hot pot experiences recently in Taiwan so the bar was set pretty high. I was a little put off that the area where you get your dipping sauces seemed a little dirty. It probably is not easy to keep it clean since people tend to drip the sauces as they put them in the little bowls for them. It would be nice if they would tend to that area more, though. Anyway, on to the hot pot. The combo was a good way to go. You get plenty to eat and the combination is just right. For broths, we chose the original and the spicy marry broths. We ordered the spicy marry broth "mild" but it was still a little too spicy, so if you don't like spicy hot, skip the spicy marrow broth. I'm not going to go on and on about the hot pot. It was adequate but not even close to being as good as what I had in Taiwan. Little Sheep is a one and done but it wasn't bad. We left satisfied, just not wowed.

Yelp
Their ayce - A dollar more expensive per person than the SG branch and only 90 mins free parking across the street. But... Their pasadena location offers a small selections of sweets (fried sesame ball, orange slices, and soft serve ice cream) as part of their menu by the sauce bar. A bit short staffed when we we first arrived (one person manning the entire restaurant for the first half hr). But overall the foods were solid. The service improved once more ppl arrived. Would come back for more hot pot goodness.

Yelp
For those who want to sit back and relax, be warned: ordering a Yin Yang hot pot is a very active experience. But if you are game, you must try. Little Sheep's Yin Yang Hot Pot is essentially a bubbling cauldron of broth that simmers away right at your table. We got the half-and-half: half chicken broth and half hot and spicy broth. You pick the ingredients that you want to add to your pot. You mark your selections down with a pencil on their menu, much like ordering sushi. We selected supreme Angus beef, shiitake mushrooms, baby bok choy, pork dumplings, bean curd roll, and Udon noodle. The waiter will help you out by letting you know how long each item should simmer in the broth. The beef takes only 20 to 30 seconds. The vegetables take about one minute. The noodles take more like 5 to 10 minutes. It's completely up to you when and how much food to throw into your simmering pot. It's also completely up to you went to fish it out with the ladle and serve yourself. See what I mean about it being a very active experience? This was our first time, and I can see this is a place that takes a little bit of practice to get it just right. We dumped all of our noodles in at the very beginning, which was a mistake. They got soggy by the end of the meal. Now I know better. If you want your udon noodles to stay firm, add them a little at a time. I would also suggest adding the vegetables a little at a time, so they don't get too wilted. Our bok choy got pretty soggy. But again, this was a fun learning experience. As for taste and service, all I can say is wow wow wow! SO DELICIOUS! SO FRIENDLY! Will definitely come again when I'm in the mood to cook up another boiling cauldron of hot pot!

Yelp
This place is perfect during the cold weather. It's located in Old Town Pasadena. They have lunch specials, and it is only from Monday to Friday before 3 pm. ::Experience:: The first step is to pick your soup base. Then pick the spicy level, I choose mild. For the meat, we got the Supreme Angus Beef 12oz and the Kurobuta Pork Shoulder 6oz. They also serve seafood. After that, we ordered Baby Bok Choy (half) and Enoki Mushroom (full). While we waited for the food, we went to the Sauce Bar which had a variety of flavors to choose from. I got Ponzu, Sesame, and Chili Oil. The Sesame sauce seemed watered down. I wish they offered more options for the broth. The bowl is half and half (ying-yang shape) which is excellent for sharing. ::Dessert:: We enjoyed the Yam Mochi with red bean filling ice cream. ::Customer Service:: Friendly ::M's Notes:: -Parking: Loy, Street, and garage -Inside seating

Yelp
Hot pot and you don't stop. Hot pot out of bed, get my swag on. Ok enough with the hip hop references, if you're like me and you crave hot pot on cold winter nights, (yes I realize it is not really cold in Socal, but still) than this is a great place to come for a warm comforting meal. Yes just like a hug from your high school sweetheart that's now a stripper, this place makes you feel good inside and it's cheap af. The food is fresh from the meat to the veggies, so expect some quality cuts for the price. Simply make your selections through the complicated looking college exam paper they hand you, and you're on your way to hot pot heaven. The portions are fairly small so don't be shy about ordering too much, especially the veggies. The veggies will shrink when they hit the hot water, like the first time you saw your great aunt in a bathing suit. I love eating at this franchise from the restaurants they have in Canada to now Socal. Here's a turbo tip though (thank me later), wear some clothes you don't mind smelling like a hot pile of meat when you eat here. You don't want to get that new Bape hoodie or Chanel bag soaked in broth flavors do you?

Yelp
I have seen this place for years back when I worked in Pasadena! I would walk by this location all the time when I would grab lunch at surrounding restaurants. But I finally grabbed dinner here with a colleague of mine and we were blown away! I've had little sheep before in San Gabriel, but this location really amazed me. We arrived around 6pm after a 6 mile walk around the Rose Bowl. We were famished. We ordered the All-You-Can-Eat and decided on the Tomato broth and the Half & Half Original + Spicy. We ordered a bunch on first round and didn't end up getting a second, but wow, we were blown away! The soup broth was amazing and the hand sliced fatty beef was SO GOOD! Believe me.. I've been to my share of AYCE Hot pot places in San Gabriel Valley.. but Little Sheep is definitely moving up to the top of my list of places to go ever since this experience! The service was also great and they were always checking up on us and asking if they could refill our soup! I definitely recommend the AYCE if you come here, so you can try a bit of everything! It's a great deal in my opinion! I also love how they have soft serve ice cream and fried sesame balls for dessert!

Yelp
Little Sheep's hot pot definitely satisfied my cravings. It only took me 7 months to finally have hot pot and I'm glad I went to Little Sheep. The service was great, everyone was attentive and the waiters/waitresses were fluent in both english & chinese which was great for the variety of people coming in. We arrived at around 1 and the store was starting to get packed. We opted for the AYCE which was a small menu but had great options. There was the option for a vegetarian broth which my hubs took via spicy version. I had the original broth and everything was delicious and flavorful. They had a sauce bar that did not have much sauce options because they are known to have the food cook in their flavorful broth without needing all that extra sauce. The beef tendon balls were great but each order only comes with 2 so make sure to request more since it's delicious. The beef was very tender and great quality. Hubs had lots of vegetables to choose from and he was very content . I will definitely return when I'm back in Pasedena but for now, my cravings have been satisfied.

Yelp
Parking: A few blocks down, there's a parking structure that is 90 minutes free! I really like this place! It's NOT all you can eat, but I do enjoy the food here. The broths are very flavorful. My friend and I got the half-half and we ordered a lot of food- large rib eye, the beef/lamb combo, veggie platter, bean curd knots (I wasn't a fan), enoki mushrooms, bokchoy, tendon, scallops and I think something else, which I don't remember. I know, we ordered a LOT of food. I've been to the vegas location before and enjoyed it, and I like this one too. I especially enjoyed the spicy original broth soup, despite the fact that I hate those peppercorns that make your mouth numb. I love the flavor of everything else though. It's also a gluten free friendly place as they indicate the things that are gluten free, which we utilized since my friend has a gluten allergy, and I am keto, so I don't eat carbs and we found a restaurant that is able to cater to both of our diets.

Yelp
5 stars for the food but 0 stars for the service. We went for ayce. I wish the portions they bring out are smaller. We got 1/2 meatballs, 1/2 tendon balls, 1/2 tofu, 1/2 quail eggs, and they brought out 6 meatballs, 8 tendon balls, 8 pieces of tofu, 8 quail eggs for just the 2 of us. Really? We already specified half portions of each because we don't want to waste food. We couldn't even finish half of those things since we had the main courses of lamb, beef, and veggies to eat. Glad they don't charge for leftovers (we really did try to finish everything but just couldn't) but I hate wasting food. We were only able to order 1 round of food anyways. We didn't know the portions they bring out for ayce would be that huge. There were only 3 waiters which is absolutely not enough. We got there at 3 and the restaurant was about 1/4 full. We had to wait 10min for someone to come take our orders. The broth and food came out in the next 30min bit by bit. The oranges were completely gone by 4:30. I asked if they had more oranges and 2 waiters ignored me and 1 (presumably the manager since he had a different color shirt and sounded like he actually cared) went to the kitchen to check but they were all out. Really? Out of a food item before dinner starts? Then I asked for water and a waiter made eye contact and literally turned the other way! Seriously?! The check took about 15min to get to our table after asking twice btw. By the time we left around 5, the place was 80% full and literally every table looked annoyed because there were not enough waiters. Metered street parking or park at the garage right across.

Yelp
Service was great. There was no wait list which was great because as I looked for hot pot places around the area, they had a long wait time since it was a Friday night. The server did kind of dissapeared after she brought out our food but then the server and others eventually periodically came to the table to make sure our water cups were full or if we needed anything else, which was great. We selected two different types of broths and they were both good. On their menu they also had the options for oysters, fish, shrimp but the oysters and shrimp never came out and we were too stuffed to ask for them to bring it out by the time we realized those two options were missing. So my tip for you is to request for those options at the beginning before they forget to bring them out to you or when you're too stuffed to remind them to bring them out. The servers were quick to bring out our food and they were friendly and approachable. The place looked clean and there was a lot of seating available. They had a self served ice cream machine which is always great in my book. They also had a small sauce and sides station where you can make your own sauces and have options like sliced oranges or sweet bean balls. Parking was easy to find in the nearby garage.

Yelp
I've been to the SGV location of Little Sheep and didn't think much of it, so I was surprised when my friend claimed that he enjoyed Little Sheep more than he expected. While I would have loved to take advantage of the Groupon deal, it's hard to make it out to Pasadena on a weekday for lunch. Instead we ended up here on a Saturday night - restaurant was pretty full, but we didn't have to wait before we were seated. So apparently Little Sheep has lunch specials on the weekdays and AYCE on Tuesdays. Otherwise, you order off the a la carte menu. When I took a look at the menu, all I realized was - wow, these prices are quite high ... and how much are we getting for the price you pay? So I kind of went a little crazy with what we ordered. Definitely order less and build up if you're still hungry, otherwise you'll be too full to enjoy the quality of the ingredients. We ordered the duo broth - one tomato and one of the original "milky" bone marrow broth for $3.75 each. The broths are definitely quite memorable, considering the price you pay for each one. I thought the milky broth was more bland than the tomato, but I could appreciate the flavor, especially after adding all the ingredients. I really enjoy tomato soup, but I felt like this one was a little too strong in my opinion for hot pot. I saw a ton of people ordering it, so I figured it must be good - it definitely carried its flavor over to all the ingredients that were added into it. By the end, the broth became quite thick. But even cooking it the next day, it wasn't too bad as a second-night meal. As for the meats, we ordered the angus ribeye for $11.95 and hand sliced fatty beef for $7.95. The angus looked like quality meat, with just a touch of fat at the ends. I really enjoyed the fatty beef, but it was definitely a bit too fatty for me. And my friend didn't help me eat much, so I pretty much finished most of it myself. I will say that the fatty beef had a sweeter flavor than the angus, which I was pleased with. For the amount that you pay, I think you do get pretty top-notched meat. We also ordered the veggie combo platter ($8.95), tofu combo platter ($6.95), fresh thick noodle ($3.95), beef tendon ball (5.50), and one bowl of rice for $1.00. Wasn't realizing just how much that was because once it all arrived to the table at the same time ... I began to regret my decision just a bit. So the veggie combo gives you a little of everything - loved that they had kale, kombucha, some bell peppers, etc. Everything looked very vibrant green. Tofu platter - how much tofu do you really need? Answer is not that much. This isn't worth it unless you love tofu. I loved the bean curd, but having different textures of tofu just wasn't that great. The beef tendon balls were pretty good, and the price is quite decent for the quality. I thought there was a springiness in the meat, which I enjoyed. As for the noodles, I really like udon, but seeing the word "fresh" sold us both. My friend said he really enjoyed the chewiness of the egg noodles. I thought it was pretty decent. We put it in towards the end, but it was just too much so I ended up taking it home and finishing the next night. Surprisingly the noodles still tasted pretty chewy then. I do appreciate their little sauce bar and snack bar. They have sesame balls, shrimp chips, and some fruit that's periodically refilled when it gets low. They only refilled it once that night while we were there, but when you're filled up on hot pot, there's not much of it that you can eat. Service was alright. Workers are always scrambling from the kitchen to the tables, so it was hard to flag them down to get things that we needed. They had a decent variety of sauces, which was nice. We ended up spending way more than necessary for our dinner. tl;dr - I will say that Little Sheep does serve good quality ingredients, but eating hot pot while ordering a la carte can get pricey. I think you get what you pay for, but I'd rather go elsewhere for AYCE hot pot and get way more ingredients for a lot less. The meat selection is pretty good and I think I enjoyed the meat the most out of the entire meal.

Yelp
The best hotpot ever! Broth: if you love Taiwanese spices and hotpot, this is the place for you! Their broth is very aromatic and just the right balance of seasoning. You can request for more broth during your meal! I recommend the half and half. Meats and veggies: many options for meats and veggies! I recommend them all! Price: lunch is a great option for first timers, but I love the AYCE option since it allows you to really try everything! The price is on the higher end, but if you go for an occasion, it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
Mongolian hot pot over Japanese Hot pot ANY DAY! I'm actually a huge fan of ALL hotpot but I love LITTLE Sheep as one of the Best. You can make/bring your own sauces at the sauce bar! I always split the soup base "ying and yang"! Both of the broths are so flavorful and dank in herbs and spices. All your side orders/main meats, you choose and mark on your menu. They have a wide array of meats, seafood, dumplings, fish cakes, vegetables, and so much more for you picky eaters to choose EXACTLY what you like and want for your hot pot. My personal favorite is the blood jelly! (I'm probably only one out of a hundred that loves blood, but its really nice and gelatinous here!) The only sad part is that you have to wait a while to eat because it's a extremely popular restaurant. But luckily they have a side bar to keep you company with alcohol while you wait! :)

Yelp
A great spot for dinner in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Our first time having Mongolian Hot Pot turned into a great experience. We ordered the all you can eat with the half and half (original & spicy). The mussels were not their strong suit, but we enjoyed plenty of meats, fish cakes, veggies and noodles. Unfortunately the soft serve machine was out of order, which was disappointing, but I'm sure would be a great desert after hot pot!

Yelp
Perfect meal for a chilly day. I came here with a long table-full of my coworkers and we went HAM on the ingredients. Everything under the sun...and it was all delicious. The quality of the meat was good. I would say the service is quick in bringing ingredients out, clearing plates away, etc. However, if you need anything more from them, it's difficult to flag them down. I had to follow up on some things that I needed for the table. Parking is tricky. I paid for valet in a lot nearby.

Yelp
This is our first time having AYCE Hot Pot. First, we were unsure if we wanted to go with AYCE or a la carte given the cost per person ($22.95) and there were 3 of us. However, after comparing the cost of ordering a la carte, we decided that AYCE will get us more bang for buck. We made the right choice! We ordered 6 servings of different types of meats, vegetables, seafood, and noodles. After eating all that food we were stuffed. We felt like our stomachs were going to explode. The service was great. Our server was constantly checking on us to see if we needed more food and even took the time to explain the ordering process.

Yelp
Sometimes you just need that hot pot to hit that spot I actually didn't mean to rhyme there and a lyricist I am not But when you get that broth going and start throwing stuff in Your spouse be like wait on a minute and you're like okay when Meat's gotta be ready by now come on, I know the veggies are slow Getting hungry looking at all this and I'm a growing boy you know But then I'm like hold on a minute you're sitting there sipping a mai tai While your wife does all of the work so maybe chill out there my guy People are real cool here and as alluded to the drinks are not bad We've come here several times now and each has been rad

Sela W.

Yelp
We got the AYCE dinner for 6 people and 7 dishes of beef! I think the San Gabriel location tastes better but the Pasadena one is not bad, especially the meat quality is pretty good here. However, the service wasn't too great as we could barely catch the waiters each time. The sesame balls run out really quickly during dinner so make sure go get some when they still have them at the sauce counter. Overall, our experience was alright. Service could improve.

Yelp
I took a groupon deal to try out Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot. My groupon deal came with: Soup base for two people, Daily cold dish, Fried chicken wings, NZ prime-aged lamb, Supreme angus beef, Meatballs, Veggie combo platter, Udon noodle, soda for two people. Everything was the same as described and we had no issues using the groupon. We had the half and half soup bases. We find the soup bases to be a bit too salty, adding water helped. Everything was delicious and fresh. They use good quality meat and I really enjoyed the supreme angus beef. The fried chicken wings tasted pretty average. I also enjoyed the fish tofu. Sauces are on the counter in the middle, next to the desserts. They are complementary. They also have soft-served ice cream. -Pasadena parking is horrendous. $8-$10 around the block. However, there are free first 90mins parking structure within a few blocks. The struggle is to find them with all the one way streets. +The menu pricing is reasonable, considering the quality of the meats. +Clean Mongolian Hot Pot tend to be spicy and herby, so ask before you pick a broth if you're sensitive to either.

Yelp
Great food but if I'm going to be picky, here's why I gave them three stars: maybe it was an off night, but they kept getting our order wrong. Otherwise, food arrived quickly and I love the presentation and the platters they use to serve your fresh produce, tofu, mushrooms, etc. You cook your own food and it's part of the charm of a hot pot establishment. Nice decor and ambience. The other aspect that was sort of a downer, this is just my personal preference, they include imitation crab with the other seafood items. Yes, it's still fish, but it's not crab. I also found the bone broth too salty, but that's probably the way it's supposed to be at this Mongolian hot pot place. It definitely flavors your food up but you probably don't want to drink too much of the broth straight up. I would prefer to control my own seasoning. Otherwise, everything else tasted wonderful and the prices are all reasonable. I'll have to come back to update my rating to give them another fair shake.

Yelp
Came here with a Groupon for the tomato broth beef combo for two. The combo started with your choice of iced tea and a Mongolian kimchi salad which was reminiscent of a seaweed salad. This was followed by the hot pot dishes which had a variety of beef plates including angus beef, fatty beef, and beef meatballs. The combo also came with the standard udon noodles and a veggie plate, but thought the romaine lettuce tasted strange in hot pot. Definitely hit up the self-serve sauce bar where you can get your choice of sauces (soy garlic, ponzu, sesame, chili oil, etc.) or toppings (cilantro, green onion.) Love that they also offer shrimp chips, sesame balls, and orange slices at the self-serve bar too. To top it off, the combo comes with a strawberry shaved ice. Definitely more than a feast for two, so come hungry when getting the combo.

Yelp
Hotpot is one of favorite food since I was a little kid. I can eat hotpot any season throughout the year. But of course I prefer winter, when it's all chilly outside. All you want to do is grab a friend with you and get some hot pot. Little Sheep been around many other states including California of course. It's one of my to go place when I craves for hotpot. This location the services are pretty decent and somewhat attentive but I can understand that they are usually busy so I can't argue about it. The price and the portion they bring out to the table are pretty generous. I wish it was all you can eat... like the one I went to when I visited Seattle, Wa. But it was worth it. Their food and etc are in pretty good quality and tasted fresh. Overall I will definitely come back here once a while but I do prefer the San Gabriel location because it's all you can eat.

Yelp
This place was great! ...I would definitely return here the next time we are craving hot pot in Pasadena. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. It can always be a pain finding parking in Old Town Pasadena, but if you're going to hot pot, there is a parking structure off of E Green St that was $5 for the entire day (why not walk around and enjoy the shops before or after hot pot). The restaurant has a clean modern decor. The thing that stood out to me was the sauce bar, the shrimp chips, the soft serve machine, and the jian dui (not the best, but I'm glad it was there). My girlfriends favorite part of the restaurant is that they offer gluten free options and that the ingredients are ala carte (Boiling Point is more pre made bowl combos). If I'm not mistaken, their happy hour is till 7pm every day and they have a late night happy hour on weekends. Even without a happy hour, their drinks are completely affordable (less expensive than my employee discount at the bar I bartend at lol). It's a large space so it's perfect for groups. When we were there, they sat a party of 10, and it was a pretty short wait. The music isn't super loud and they seem to be playing top 40s. The crowd was great. It was diverse, and there were family's there, as well as young professionals alike. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out if you've got a craving for some savory warm soup on a cold California winter day.

Yelp
Been here many times, so this review is an overview of all my experiences. They close at the end of lunch for a few hours and reopen for dinner, so if you are coming towards the end of lunch, expect some food to be gone. For example, they run out of their tomato broth often, so I will call before I come in to make sure they have tomato broth. They also will run out of the sesame ball and orange slice desserts. In regards to food on the menu, they never seem to run out before lunch ends. Food wise, my favorite (along with friends and family) is the tomato broth. For the longest time we would get the original broth (both mild and spicy), but ever since we had the tomato broth, we never wanted to go back to the original broth. They also give a lot of veggies for the price and a decent amount of meat. Almost every time we come here to eat, their employee Elton is working the front of the house. We know him at this point (even though he probably doesn't know us) and he is super nice and has such an awesome attitude. Though, in general, the service here is not very good. You will have to flag somebody down if you need something, such as more water or food. Because they pay so little attention to the tables, I am constantly turning the heat down of the cooking pot myself, which I don't know if I'm allowed to do or not, but I do it anyway. A little tip is that there is usually some type of Groupon for this place. Doesn't hurt to check on Groupon before you come! Also, there is a parking garage directly across the street from the restaurant. Overall, it's a solid hot pot restaurant with fair pricing. I'll keep coming back until something deters me otherwise.

Yelp
Pretty decent hot pot place, I think I'm just not a big fan of mongolian hot pot in general. It's just TOO hot! We got here on a Saturday night around 6pm and waited maybe 5-8 minutes for a table. They have you sit at tables in the front and look at the menu. Then the lady came and asked if I was given a ticket, I said no. She gave a worried look, went back to the front and then gave me a ticket. We had to the choice of doing all you can eat for $22.50 each or just eat a la carte. AYCE seemed a bit extreme so we just ordered a la carte. We decided to do a half and half - normal and spicy base. Then we ordered a pitcher of Kirin beer - Sapporo was sadly sold out. It was "Happy Hour" so we got the pitcher for $8. Not too shabby. We got the angus beef, the pork belly, half an order of shrimp and half an order of shrimp balls. Also got the fresh noodles (knowing how spicy it was, we needed a base), spinach, bok choy, soft tofu, the enoki mushrooms and the shiitake mushrooms. Food came out pretty fast and the staff was friendly. Overall the food was super tasty and spicy. There were a lot of peppers and stuff in the hot pot that wasn't necessarily edible or tasty. It was hard not to eat some of the extras but it was still pretty good. The spicy had a kick to it that kinda grew as you ate it. I liked it, but I honestly would prefer a place like Boiling Point.

Yelp
Used Groupon and first time here, great deal! The Groupon included a tomato based soup, and usually I don't love overly tomato things but it was so good! Very rich and flavorful soup, and came with tender thin meats and LOTS of veggies. The sauce bar was amazing, it really complemented the food well. I've never gotten actually full from hot pot until Little Sheep, definitely worth what I paid. Overall, I really liked the atmosphere of the place. Very clean and well put, had minimalist yet classy vibes, while also keeping an authentic Asian environment.

Yelp
Little Sheep is a Mongolian style hotpot restaurant that comfortably sits in a row of similarly smaller and over-looked restaurants. I'm a hotpot fanatic, and out of all the hotpot places I've been to, this place has become my go-to. I've been here twice, and both times, I have been extremely pleased with the service, the quality and quantity of food, and the price. The service is fast and attentive; the menu is simple, straightforward, and well organized. The food is beautifully presented as well. They serve them on either gorgeous, unique porcelain plates, or in beautifully crafted wood (box?) plates as well. The quantity and quality of food corresponds well with the amount you pay, and is well worth the price. One complaint I do have however is the high pitched noise from the electric stoves. If you're younger, you're more likely to hear it; if you're older, there's a lesser chance you'll hear it. Mostly, it's just annoying until you eventually get used to the sound. Then, you just forget it's there. If you are unfamiliar with hotpot, it is a (usually) Your party orders a broth, and each person pays a fixed amount. Then you order additional items to go into your hotpot at your discretion. Hotpot is always great for family meals or big parties. However, if you come out to eat hotpot with just 2-3 people, be careful not to over order! Both times I've gotten the bone broth, and next time I visit, that's probably what I'll get too! And the next time. Also, the next time as well. The bone broth is smooth, yet savory; it's rich, yet considerably light. On a cold day, it warms you up quick. The bone broth is a guaranteed good start to a good hotpot session. Some of the things I've ordered were the enoki mushrooms, cabbage, egg noodles, shrimp, spinach, and eggs. Everything went well with the broth. However, the only issue I had was with the spinach. Your broth will most likely turn bitter as a result of boiling down the spinach. There's also a bar that you can pick up complimentary food from. They usually have shrimp chips, orange slices, sauces or other miscellaneous food items. When you're done with your meal, or you're waiting on something to cook, it's nice to have this available. All in all, this is a great hot pot restaurant, and I'm happy that I can have a reliable go-to restaurant with great food, great service, and great prices.

Yelp
We stopped by for some hot pot on our way home to Tucson from Sacramento. We arrived extra early so we went over to 85 degree, the pastries store. Omg! They're freaken delicious if you love Asian/French pastries! Anyhow, we were their first customer as soon as they opened the door at 11:00am and quickly filled with customers. We ordered the the yin and yang hot pot, spicy and non spicy. The broth was good, good selection of meats, and fresh veggies. They also have a hot sauce section which is really cool. You can grab them and dress your broth to your own taste as well. Their veggies plates are big so order one at a time. Overall, good layout, good food and ok customer service. I feel they got busy and forgot to provide customer service for us. We have to wait around to asked for water a couple times. Regardless, definitely give it a try when you're in the area.

Yelp
Love to try new food. To learn more about that culture and food. My brother recommended this place. We went to try it out for my first time. When you walk in, the smell is very bad. My brother ordered few things. While we were waiting for our food, we made our sauce in the small bowls. food was not that much bad, but I didn't like it. We didn't have that much connection with staff. They were just walking and doing their jobs. The customer service was fast but not perfect. We asked for check and we paid with two accounts. We left tip on one of them. While we were walking out. One of the staff came and stopped us, asking for tip!!! Very unprofessional staff!!!

Yelp
I am a huge fan of lamb and this is probably my favorite Chinese hot pot restaurant. They have different cut of lamb to choose from and the lamb wonton was delicious. I especially love their New Zealand lamb as it was so soft and melted in the mouth. Vegetables were really fresh and their soup base is one of the best in town. The only compliant is that they only take reservation for group of 6 people or above. We will have to come on the weekday to avoid the crowd.

Yelp
Came here with a big appetite. Ended up costing around $25 per person and we were stuffed afterwards! Had half and half broth (half spicy, half non-spicy), beef, lamb, meatballs, and various veggies. Everything was fresh and the broths were flavorful. Dipping sauces were great. Service was attentive (my water glass was never empty, which i appreciated a lot since I was primarily eating off of the spicy side). Self service sauce bar had all of the typical hot pot sauces. Overall, a great hot pot experience that I prefer to the places that serve individual hot pots. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I haven't been to Little Sheep Mongolian in years and I was craving some serious hot pot. We came here on a Saturday with no wait, but it was also 75 degrees. We ordered the half and half both base with low sodium. Even with low sodium, it was flavorful and salty. You get to order a la carte from selection of meats, veggies, dumplings, and noodles. It does add up quickly so I recommend keeping evergreen in check. My favorites were the sliced rib eye, fish dumplings, fish balls with roe, hand made noodles and fried buns with condensed milk. You can also select a variety of different sauces. I prefer the Chinese bbq sauce (Sacha), peanut sauce and chili oil. For our visit, they also had sliced oranges and fried shrimp chips. They messed up our order and gave us egg dumplings instead of fish dumplings. They caught their own mistake and brought it to our attention immediately. The egg dumplings were on the house and they have us fish dumplings. You can park in the structure on Green Street.

Yelp
This was my first time having hot pot and I have to say it was absolutely delicious- I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I am vegetarian, and went with a group that also included meat eaters. There are plenty of options for both. I shared a pot with the spicy broth with a friend and we found it impossible to finish ... I'd recommend sharing one pot with at least three people. The service was great - fast and friendly. I'm happy I finally tried this out :)

Yelp
AYCE hot pot! They also do a la carte but AYCE is definitely the way to go: Monday-Thursday $22.95 per person + $3 extra for premium items. Came here food dinner with the bf on a rainy Thursday night around 8pm. We waited maybe 20 minutes to get a table. FOOD: AYCE means we checked off a ton of stuff on the menu! Meats are good quality, I really enjoyed trying all the dumplings and balls (the house fish ball is sooo fluffy and delicious!) They have housemade fresh noodles, lots of veggies, meats, dumplings, balls, and other stuff. We got the yin-yang 50/50 hot pot - half herbal and half spicy, it's definitely the way to go! Make your own sauce bar at the back. You can order up to 3 rounds of AYCE goodness. SERVICE: Give the host your name and they give you a ticket. When your number is called, it's time to eat! They clear away your empty dishes pretty quickly but you have to flag them down for water refills or more orders. VENUE/PARKING: The place is large so the staff is always bustling around if you need to snag someone. They have happy hour! Pitcher of Stone IPA is $8! Such a deal. Park in the public lots around Pasadena for 90 minutes free or a flat rate after 10pm. Depending on when you come, meters might be free as well. Next to 85 Degrees so you can grab so pastries on your way home!

Yelp
A recent revisit has me singing a different tune about Little Sheep! The hubby and I had an amazing weekend lunch here. Lots of lamb options, top quality meats and seafood. We ordered a mushroom medley, mixed veggies and spicy both to get it all going. Everything was just so fresh and there was so much food at our table for two! I didn't care for the seafood dumplings but the hubby liked them a lot. Service was full of effort and we left beyond full. I'm glad I gave them a second chance. Thumbs way up!

Yelp
My faith in Little Sheep is reaffirmed. After just one visit, I already prefer this location over the San Gabriel one. Service is excellent here and the interior is clean, spacious, and new. The service in their SGV location has gone significantly downhill, with long wait times between orders, hard-to-flag waiters, and lots of missing food. It really made me start wondering if Little Sheep as a whole has decreased in quality, which would be sad because it's my favorite hotpot chain in the US. Luckily, the Pasadena location proved me wrong. Our servers were all very attentive and checked in on us often, even when I took forever deciding what to order. Our food came out fast and no items were missing. When I asked to take home the leftover broth, they were quick and happy to bring out containers. This is also the first Little Sheep I've been to with a full bar! We stuck with Taiwanese beer, but I'd be curious to try some happy hour cocktails next time. Keep in mind that there's no more AYCE deal and combo sets are only available during the week. Meat and broth quality are as good as ever, and they have tons of options for veggies, noodles, tofu, meatballs, etc. (hence my indecisiveness every single time despite dozens of visits). I highly recommend going with the half-and-half broth option so you can alternate between the milky, bone marrow-based original and the spicy version. One interesting thing: I noticed that lately they've been really pushing their "no sauce needed" model. The menu even says "sauces are not recommended with our style of hot pot" in all caps up top now, which I don't remember seeing before. As a result, the sauce bar is half of what it used to be: no more sacha ("satay" sauce), green onion, minced garlic, sesame oil, and a number of other things. You can still request sacha on the side (which we did, because it feels incomplete without it), but I'm sad because the extensive sauce bar used to be one of the best parts of Little Sheep. The idea is that the broths are so tasty, you don't need any additional sauce/flavoring. However, I miss having the option. Overall, a great location of Little Sheep. I walked out stuffed and super satisfied for under $30, and I'd definitely return here over the SGV spot.

Yelp
After Pasadena's Annual Art Night, my boyfriend and I wanted to go out for a late night dinner and we originally chose a Poke place, but the parking structure we parked at, was right behind this lovely place and we immediately fell in love with it! The parking structure is labeled 3$ for false advertisement, it is actually 10-15$ but your car is safe in the lot. Mongolian Hot Pot is very similar to Shabu Shabu, which means the meats are cooked in a broth, rather than on a grill, and meats are different I assume. We only had a wait time of 10 minutes, the place is very clean and constantly kept up. The workers are all very nice and informative, and gave great recommendations! They also have a self serve sauce bar, with these delicious Sesame Seed balls! Get as many as you like!! Order the Pickled Garlic! - To my women who do not want to smell like garlic. Trust me, you won't. It is delicious and will not make you smell! Hot pot broth: They only have three kinds, the third one is a half n half of both kinds, one side is spicy, and one is not. They do not have their all you can eat menu anymore, either you choose individually or choose a combo of only one style of meat. The cooking time is minimum 15-20 seconds and the most is 5 minutes. The server, Claire I believe, knew it was our first time and she helped us so much! She started us off and was constantly checking up on us. They serve beer and wine! And have a ridiculous variety of a drink menu! I recommend the passion fruit green tea for a iced tea - they have an option of either pitcher or just one cup. I absolutely loved this place and we definitely be back as soon as I'm over my food coma!

Yelp
Tried Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot for the first time tonight and was blownaway! Choose the half and half broth which includes half spicy and half of the original, milky broth. Both flavor palates were SO complex and that spice though..wooo it packed some serious heat. Highly recommend getting the kobe beef with it too . Had stellar marbling and the flavor was out of this world, especially paired with the original broth. The Angus beef and kurobuta pork were also super tasty. All in all, would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Order: All You Can Eat Hot Pot Cost: $26/Person The all you can eat is a solid deal for hot pot. I recommend getting the traditional soup base but splitting the pot in half. Cook the meat on one side and the vegetables on the other side. This way the vegetable broth remains "pure" and holds the flavor of the base. Oranges, sesame balls, donuts w/ Condensed milk, and ice cream are all free. For desert, I open up one of the sesame balls and stuff it with vanilla ice cream. It tastes really good. Do not order fried food at the hot pot place, just eat all the meat and vegetables. Top orders: the beef, Thick flat noodles (potato noodles), Tong ho Things NOT on the menu: Bean Curd Rolls, Ribeye, SUN'S SPOTLIGHT: I once asked them to change the tv to watch the clippers vs lakers. They changed it! Hot Pot plus basketball... what a slam dunk!

Yelp
I love Little Sheep, but I do think it's only worth it if you catch the AYCE option (weekdays except Friday). A la carte can get quite expensive. The interior is nice and spacious, and the service is fine. We found that we had to really wave down the staff after our first round - not sure if they were busy or if they avoid taking your order the second and third times around. We found the plates weren't really being cleared at all, which can be annoying. However, ask and ye shall receive - once we pointed out our issue it was handled promptly. Just annoying to have to keep flagging down the staff. Ordering is through the usual paper checklist. They have different slots for the first three rounds, so you can use the same sheet. I've never tried to order beyond three rounds, which is all they have room for on the paper. Are you limited to three rounds? Or do you get a new sheet instead for true unlimited consumption? A true mystery for those with bigger stomachs than me to tackle. Soup base is flavorful but you only get two - spicy or not spicy (and I guess a third which is both in a ying-yang bowl). They have a modest sauce bar with the essentials. Overall, the selection is pretty good. You've got the usual meats and a good selection of veggies, tofus, and fungi, as well as various noodles. Meat was thinly sliced and good. Additionally there's a premium section that's an extra fee for fancier foods like premium meats. I thought it was weird that winter melon was extra? I like how they will give you less/smaller portions of a wider selection of foods, instead of just giving you a larger quantity of a smaller selection. Overall, the AYCE option is one of my favorite hot pot options because it's just such a good deal. Absolutely recommend!

Yelp
I love shabu-shabu. Sucks that there are very few of its kind of restaurants in the 818. Found reviews for this place and decided to give it a try with the hubby Pro's: fancy modern restaurant. Great location and plenty of public parking structures nearby. They offer different types of soup base and spice levels. The meats are very fresh. They sauce bar is genius! Their passion black tea is Amazing! Con's: can get pretty pricey if you don't catch the AYCE Monday-Thursday. Staff is friendly, but wish they'd check in on you more often without being flagged down.
