Highlights

Little Shop of Bagels specialize in bagels made with organic flour and grains. We are not yet certified organic, but 95% organic by weight. Our prices reflect the higher price we pay for organic ingredients. Ounce for ounce compared to a conventional flour bagel, it's a deal. Check it out, same price for a single non organic bagel elsewhere. Bottom line, our profit margin is much lower.

"People who won’t stand in line for anything queue up for the bagels at this tiny hole-in-the-wall shop in a strip mall uptown. The house-made schmears are equally excellent, and go early if you have your sights on an onion bagel — they tend to sell out." - Susanne Robertson

We went here and got two melts. The bagels themselves are okay, all my seasonings fell off my everything bagel, but they had good skin and chew. Their prices are crazy though we got two melts (one with extra egg) and no coffee and our total with tip was $36. Also the guy who took our order wasn’t very welcoming. When we walked in he was stoking the bagels and said “I’ll be with you in a second” then when he finished and walked up to the register he didn’t say anything just stared at us waiting for us to order. I try not to nitpick but it just felt weird especially since the whole time we were eating we could hear the kitchen staff talking.

While staying in Ashland, I was out walking and I found this gem of a restaurant. Tucked away in the back of the shopping plaza and up the hill is Little Shop of Bagels. This place has plenty of seating for a small restaurant, self serve coffee station, and great selection. I had the Turkey Melt bagel on a Cheese bagel, and it was Delish! The cheese was melted and hot, tomato was crunchy, and the bagel was soft like any NY bagel should be. While waiting in line, everyone was friendly and raving about the quality ingredients. I have to say, everything was fresh and tasty. Next time I am in town, I will definitely be back!

Google
I just love this place! The owner is amazingly friendly and the product they serve is made with high-quality, mostly organic ingredients. Their prices are very reasonable and it is excellent for dine in or takeout. The takeout tip, you can call in your order ahead of time and have it ready for you when you arrive.

Google
My husband had the lox breakfast bagel 🥯 sandwich, which was a huge hit. I had smoked salmon and cream cheese on a garlic and herb bagel - delish! 🤤 We will definitely be back. This is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Google
Holy cow! This was the biggest and best bagel sando I have ever had. So many fresh veggies thinly sliced stacked with a cashew spread. Awesome vegan options. Great service and really quick. Went here while I did my laundry and I’ll be back for sure. Thank you!

Jeremy

Google
Their Bagels are soft, chewy, and delicious. We really enjoyed the scone we had. It was Lemon Ginger and it was just the right amount moist and sweet so that it wasn't overly sweet or dry. Let's just say we really liked it. I had the veggie bagel sandwich with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sprouts. My wife had it with hummus instead of cream cheese. They both hit the spot. We will definitely will be going back.

Google
Had high expectations for this place, that was my fault, durring these times we all need to lower our expectations. Got a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. Prices seemed too high, bagels looked too small. After seeing the price of their lox and bagels ($8+) I decided to buy a 1/2 dozen to-go and make my own at home. The best thing I can say and maybe the most important is that the bagels are real, good skin and chew, not some fake bread-like bagels. The everything bagels were nice even if most of the topping fell off when I cut them. 7 weeks of smoke here in Ashland has made me extra critical. Being the chimney of California is a real drag. I was going to give a 2 star review but that's just my raw emotions. We are all in this together as they keep telling us from their mansions and yachts so my honest impression is that they have real bagels here, prices are high like everywhere and we need to lower our expectations and give eachother a break.

I went in mid morning and ordered a garlic bagel with chive spread and a coffee. The coffee is self serve in a pump pot and was Empty as well as was the creamer so I couldn't even have coffee while I waited for my bagel. I was disappointed that the garlic bagel wasn't the crispity crunchity garlic bits. The bagel topping was excessive and I removed alot of it but consumed it as I went along.

Yelp
I got the hikers bagel with egg, tomato and sprouts! Sooo yummy and filling, the workers are nice and the place is relaxing. Last meal in Ashland, until next time 10/10 would eat here again

Yelp
We stopped in on our way to Hood River for a snack. The bagels were straightforward. He loved his, said it was the messiest sandwich he has ever had! He loved every minute- He had the everything bagel with turkey, pickles, lettuce, sprouts, and cream cheese. I had the everything with cream cheese. It was fine. Perfectly serviceable. Service seemed kinda slow, IMO.

Yelp
We stopped for breakfast on a long road trip. The shop seems a bit dated but in a charming nostalgic way. It's clean and organized. The ladies working were nice. I ordered an open faced veggie sandwich w/hummus on a garlic herb bagel. It was delicious. The rest of my family got various toasted bagels. Everyone really enjoyed their breakfast. I haven't had a better bagel anytime recently.

Mandy M.

Yelp
Solid bagels. Great sandwiches. We ordered ahead and our food was exactly as ordered and super fresh. This will definitely be a regular spot for us on our roadtrip from WA to CA that we make a few times per year.

Courtney L.

Yelp
Delicious food & the bagels are authentic tasting! I like the menu and I think this place is the real deal, people! Yummy & funky style of a restaurant. I dig it!

Nader A.

Yelp
Super friendly staff. Fair prices. Solid bagels with tasty cream cheeses to match. The Onion Swiss bagel was Paired the spinach/kale bagel with their sun-dried tomatoe cream cheese and was impressed with the chunks of sun-dried tomatoe I saw throughout. In terms of ambiance, there's not much. Just a humble bagel shop in a random plaza but that kinda adds to the charm - unassuming would be a good way to describe. Will definitely pop in next time we're in the area and in need of a bagel fix. Happy dining...

Hannah M.

Yelp
Best bagel shop around. They are always extremely fresh and make everything the morning off. The service is great, just order at the counter and they are usually quick to get the food out. Go early as they will run out of the best bagels. Also the cream cheese can be on the heavy side so if you don't like that make sure to ask for light cream cheese.

Susan D.

Yelp
Friendly and fairly quick early morning (7:30) service. Probably not the best pick for on the road eats but sure was delicious! Good easy stop to remember when we head up this way again because it's so close to I5 too!

Nicolas J.

Yelp
Came here while on a road trip. Kinda weird being out of state and seeing the cultural difference. Came in without any acknowledgment or much welcoming. A customer said thanks as well when leaving and staff either didn't hear them or chose to ignore them which seems more likely based on the experience. One team member even remarked "if you're not ready can you figure it out and then come up" Lol thankfully the bagel was decent but service was very sour (May2022 visit)

Rose L.

Yelp
Not a good bagel. I got an everything bagel with green onion cream cheese. It was very dry and little to no flavor. I am a bagel lover and I love bread so it isn't hard to impress me. These left a lot to be desired. I didn't even finish half of it. I just couldn't. They also didn't have a salt bagel which I found interesting because that's pretty standard for a bagel shop. The girl working at the register was extremely unfriendly and would hardly even engage or talk back to anyone who ordered. I watched everyone say "hi good morning" when ordering and she didn't respond. She didn't even crack a smile. Not a great representation of the business or probably who you'd want working at the register. The two working in the back making the food were more friendly and working hard. The shop was also dirty and did not have a welcoming vibe.

Thomas P.

Yelp
Having been a customer here for over a decade, I can definitively say this place has the Best bagels in southern Oregon by far. Great selections of flavored cream cheese. Always friendly service. Tables available to eat on site but this is primarily a to go situation.

Katie K.

Yelp
Great bagels, but the service is SO slow. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes to place your order and receive jt. I come often and it's the same every time. They need more support.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Oh my!! So damn good!! So glad I went here and the bagels are delicious.. made my morning and walked away with a half diz n of the poppy seed bagels which are my absolute favorite. Will definitely be back

Jesslyn H.

Yelp
What a great little place! I'm driving back home to Napa County, California from Medford after a quick visit with a friend. I needed caffeine and was at the Dutch Bros nearby and saw this bagel shop and figured a bagel sounded good. I got a 2 egg breakfast bagel sandwich on a poppy seed bagel with pepperjack cheese and nothing else on it. The employees were so sweet and nice! Perfect to hold me over on my 6 hour drive home. I'm definitely stopping by again on my way through Oregon

DG W.

Yelp
Excellent fresh bagels. Lox and cream Cheese with all the toppings including sprouts was a delicious lunch. Just what we craved! Thank you. We will return.

Chris S.

Yelp
I had heard great things about this place however I found it a bit disappointing. Two of our orders were missing and we had to ask for them a second time, and even after that several of the things that came were the wrong order. The food and options provided were just alright, nothing particularly special. However, hearing how others like this locations I want to go again so see if this was a one off experience

Tyler O.

Yelp
The jalapeño cheddar bagel was probably the best I've ever had. I'm no bagel purist, and I've never been to NY, but everything about Breakfast Eggel Bagel was amazing. The quality of the butter and eggs stood out to me. Tons of jalapeño flavor, looks like there is quite a bit in the dough. The prices seemed high for a bagel shop with my two egg bagel coming out to about $10, but that was a very satisfying bagel.

Rick H.

Yelp
Nice bagels with eggs and coffee. Service was quick and food was great. Happy people. Love it.

Cecil V.

Yelp
Been here 3x. Nothing special or to right home about. It is very hard to find a solid bagel joint on the west coast. The salmon and chive spread is way to heavy on the chive.....like eating a raw onion. They also tend to skimp on the add ins as well. Advo, salmon, tuna...etc. The thing that struck me the most is how rude, back talking and condescending one of the staff was acting towards customers. I would never recommend someone I know and like to patronize this establishment. Small business owners should take heed and be more involved in their business. Running customers off is easier than bringing them in.

Micah F.

Yelp
Today when we went into Little Shop of Bagles and ordered, the atmosphere between two of the employees seemed heavier than normal. One Fresh Bagelsinteraction between a young female cashier and a tall man who I believe is the manager seemed intense. It's such a cute place to be, you'd think work would be fun. One of our bagels was very small and the other order was just wrong altogether. Little Shop of Broken DreAms

Anthony B.

Yelp
Incredibly tasty Bagels fresh n hot Mucha gracious Abulita, sweetest lady made me feel like I was home. The scones are awesome as well..... we ate those with coffee the next morning!

Maggie B.

Yelp
Usually I love this place- it's amazing! The following review is only for the owner/manager. I tried to get a bagel w cream cheese and avocado, which technically I did get, but barely. The bagel and cream cheese were there, had to look kinda hard to find the avocado. This doesn't usually happen there, but it was a bummer.

Roxy R.

Yelp
AMAZING DELICIOUS SCRUMPTIOUS BAGELS!!!!! AND all the bagels are vegan (except the obvious cheddar jalapeño, etc) & home made style & so fresh! They also have Tofutti vegan cream cheese & hummus. Absolutely delicious bagel sandwiches! 1/2 dozen bagels are $7 & they have day old bagel bags too! My partner got a Jalapeño cheddar bagel with an egg & cheddar slice & loved it! The 7 dozen we got were jalapeño, jalapeño cheddar, everything, garlic & herb, garlic cheddar & onion. And the staff were so friendly! We will be stopping here every time we pass Ashland! What a gem!!!

Jacob L.

Yelp
I ordered 6 plain bagels and a Pesto Turkey sandwich. I got 5 sesame seed bagels and a poppy seed bagel, and my sandwich had one thin slice of turkey, one fat slice of cheese and three huge slices of tomato (should call it a tomato pesto sandwich). What a joke!!

Joy L.

Yelp
Courtesy check on counter staff attitude today. I didn't get what I ordered plus I got a side of Attitude. This is why I don't get food at this establishment!

James A.

Yelp
Idk what happened this place. Grew up getup bagels here. Sad to see my experience this morning doesn't seem to be unique. I waited in the shop this morning for over and hour because they "forgot" my order. I was frazzled and didn't realize that they also messed up my order until I got home. The manager accused me of lying about my order being messed up and was honestly just a bitch about the whole situation. Offered a 50% refund and said she blamed the pandemic and wasn't even supposed to be working today and wasn't getting paid. Seems like a trend here now. Way to hire shitty staff. I've worked service industry my whole life, sorry we are all starting to have to go back to work. Quit your job if you don't like it, don't have to be mean to customers.

Mike B.

Yelp
This was the worst bagel and egg I have ever had! Actually, two of us took one bite and threw both away Egg patty was horrible. Not sure why but they melted cheese on top of the egg patty to boiling - must be a special recipe! Bagel is smothered in butter where egg patty is sliding from it. Service was ok, the girls there were nice although making this bagel took forever. On top of it all this bagel was way overpriced - 6.50/single egg and 7.95 for 2 egg bagel. Save yourself some headache; you will do way better at McD

Emily P.

Yelp
Absolutely hands down the best bagel I've ever had the avocado was so fresh and beautiful

Sheena P.

Yelp
Most everything was organic. We absolutely loved the food. Bagels were fresh. Sandwhiches were delicious and service was great. We will be back next time we pass through. Yum!

Ryder E.

Yelp
First off, 99% of our experience with Little Shop of Bagels are 4/5 star. My girlfriend and I frequent this place almost daily. This review is for the singular woman who chose to yell at and berate my girlfriend for no reason. We have both worked food service and customer service, we understand things taking longer or being stressed. My girlfriend simply asked the first person she saw if perhaps one if the many orders the person was carrying might be for her, since she had been sitting there about 10 minutes and the phone line had been continuously busy. This woman proceeded to yell that my girlfriend would have to wait since she was all by herself before returning inside. Moments later she appeared back outside, our order in hand and again proceeded to yell/bark/snap whatever you want to call it, that she needed to just "take your stuff and get out of here". Again, we LOVE Little Shop, but this experience was beyond uncalled for, especially for a daily customer. To all the other workers, thank you! We love you and your product!

Ariel B.

Yelp
Very happy with my experiences here. Bagel & cream cheese with lox and chives is delicious, and not skimpy. The day-old bagels are a bit overpriced for product they're trying to offload, but I'm happy with the quality and prices in general!

Melinda G.

Yelp
Was a bit frustrated in the beginning. I was trying to buy 4 bagels to take to my co-workers this morning and a tub of cream cheese. Was told I couldn't buy any bagels in bulk as they couldn't use their oven. So I ordered 3 bagels (1 less than originally) and had them toast them and put the cream cheese on them. That didn't seem to be a issue. (Whatever!) Anyways, I wasn't impressed and then I got to work and we tasted our bagels (we are traveling for work) and they were delicious and the green onion/chive cream cheese was so good. Could really taste the green onions and they are generous with the amount of cream cheese they give. Had the bagels not tasted good, I would have rated a 2 based on the issue of trying to order 1 bagel more than I did.

Elina B.

Yelp
We are heading home from a road trip and are so happy we found "Little Shop of Bagels" to stop and grab a bite to eat! The worker was so friendly and sweet, awesome customer service! The food was amazing...weird to say bagels with simple ingredients can be so good, but they are! I got the simple sesame breakfast bagel with 1 egg and cheddar cheese, and it was definitely my favorite bagel sandwich I have ever had!! My husband got the Ham Sandwich with a jalapeño Bagel, open faced. He loved it as well. The coffee was really good too, tasted fresh. Parking is all over the place in the open lot, so no issue there either. If your passing by I would highly recommend stopping here to try any of their freshly baked bagels.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
Loved this bagel shop! A very nice variety of tasty bagels and toppings. Reminds us of New York's famous bagels!

Max G.

Yelp
There were lots of bagel options, all of which looked good, and the toppings on the lox bagel were all fresh and delicious. The only problem was that the egg and cheese bagel was pretty much all cheese and the egg flavor got lost.

Native Q.

Yelp
The (female) cashier who I assume was the owner. She seem to be a highly skilled professional and proficient in all aspects of the restaurant business. She ran the business orderly, & had superb standards of customer service and care. The Bagels here are fresh & M'm! M'm! tasteful! Great location, top quality products, and great customer service. Vegan Friendly as well.

Cassie D.

Yelp
Wow. Onion Swiss toasted bagel w cream cheese, lox, capers, red onion, and avocado instead of tomato. The salmon was so delicious--not dried out at all! I live 5 hours away--I'll miss this bagel.

Steve S.

Yelp
If you want fresh bagels, this is not the place to go. Don't know why, but we've gone twice and neither time had fresh bagels. I don't know if the freeze them or leave the out too long, but I'd rather get frozen bagels and not pay for stale ones.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
I don't know what's going on at Little Shop of Bagels; but today the bagel was cooked well, wasn't toasted, and came with a generous portion of cream cheese! The second bagel I received was also nice and soft, and I can't wait to toast it tomorrow and eat it with a little butter! They must have rotating bakers or something, because the bagels I got today were perfectly cooked and tasted great, and the one's I received the other day were over cooked and dry and inedible almost!

Mark M.

Yelp
The bagels here are OK but nothing special. They are basically bland with the only flavor coming from toppings , butter or cream cheese. Southern Oregon could use a real good bagel and this is not it. My brother and his wife, who had a small bagel shop in Livingston, Montana, made outrageously good bagels. Many tourists passing by said they they were the best bagels they had ever tested. They had a dream of opening up a bagel shop here in Ashland a few years ago but decided not to because health reasons. They still make a batch once in awhile at home--and what a treat

Alexander O.

Yelp
This little shop makes some of my favorite home made bagels. The place itself doesn't look anything fancy at all but that is what adds to its character. Best part is I can grab a pack of day old bagels for when I travel and know exactly what I am eating and putting in my body

Genevieve S.

Yelp
This is the worst place I have ever been. I order a ham and cheese on a bagel toasted and received a cold piece of cheese on a warm bagel. I came back in and asked for them to melt the cheese a little bit and the foreign woman that was cooking replied with the WORST attitude "you didn't order it that way you have to order it that way to get that" and then proceeded to argue with me for 5 minutes saying that there have been a lot of customers coming in Lately with the same problem ordering it wrong. That's ridiculous. This was my first time here and I did not deserve to be treated portly because of things other customers have done in the past. If it's a contestant issue they should be asking people when they order how they'd like it cooked. I have never been treated with such disrespect and poor customer service. Im starving and waited for the stupid bagel and it's still absolutely horrible. I want my $6 back. Along with the time I wasted in that ridiculous place. Do not go here. I will be posting this everywhere. I left a VM for the phone number on the card and a heard back from Francesca the owner who was also a complete joke of a business owner . I will not step foot in there Again and will be sharing my experience with everyone I meet locally.

Seana M.

Yelp
I wanted so badly to love this place. I'm a bit local type of girl. So when a coworker suggested them for bagel and lox I decided to check it out. They're about the same cost as Ahuva, so I I wanted to try them. The menu is a little confusing, as they had a ton of great options. It was almost overwhelming. I ordered a bagel and lox sandwich with no onion and thought it was a bit odd that you get up charged almost a dollar for the sandwiches to be open face. It wasn't a long wait even thought the place was pretty packed. I get to my car, open the sandwich, and you guessed it. Onions. Now you onion eaters can tell me to take them off all day, but they're so potent that the taste is left there. The sandwich was ok, it was good. It just wasn't worth the money to me. I could go to Ahuva and get more bang for my buck.

Savannah H.

Yelp
Cute little place, service was pretty fast considering covid, which I was thankful for because we needed a quick bite to eat on our road trip this morning! We got the bagel sandwiches on cheddar bagels, I added avocado to mine for $2.00 extra and I really recommend that. It was super filling and delicious! I also really like the precautions they are doing for covid right now, 1 person/1party at a time inside to order, then wait outfront for your order.

Kelsey D.

Yelp
Holy crap!! The most amazing bagels I have ever had in my entire life!!! Wow wow wow! I am so sad I was just visiting here in Ashland, I cannot wait to go back! We got to customize all of the toppings on out bagels and we also got some different flavored bagels togo as well!

Gustave E.

Yelp
same deal as everyone eles- manager is an absolute bitch, waited 50 mins for small amount of bagels only to be told the rude ass guy at the front counter "messed up" my name and they'd been sitting there the whole time. love the bagels won't be coming back again.

Marie W.

Yelp
We had lox and cream cheese bagels and they were wonderful, large portions. Mine was even gluten free. Fast service

Kristina S.

Yelp
Best effn bagel I've had in SO long. &&&& they have vegan cheese !! So fresh and tastey

Amanda H.

Yelp
My husband and I went in lto this establishment to get breakfast. I did not have a m*** on me because I had recently cleaned my car out, and must of removed them. My husband was wearing one. I walked in and was asked to put on a m*** and I nicely asked the young lady if they had one, I was told I could buy one for .50. I have been to many establishments since March 2020 and have never been charged for a disposable m***. I know how much m**** cost and to make a profit off a m*** that you are asking me to wear in your establishment is something I'm not participating in. I was happy to take my business to Sammich where I gladly spent 40.00 and supported another local small business.

Trisha C.

Yelp
While making the long drive from Portland to David my husband and I stopped here for lunch. We were so glad we did! These were some of the best bagel sandwiches we could have asked for. The bagels were fresh and delicious and the meat was carved while we waited. The end result was perfection. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
