Little Shop Of Mary - Review - Torrance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Serviceable banh mi are few and far between in the South Bay, which is why when we find ourselves on Torrance Blvd. we always pull over for Little Shop of Mary, a cute takeout spot with a bright yellow awning. The sandwiches here — served on fluffy baguettes with a nice chewy crust — are mostly traditional with some fusion opinions mixed in. Fillings include sesame beef, lemongrass chicken, and our personal obsession, the juicy slow-roasted pork. Topped with pickled red onions, roasted jalapeños, and a smear of garlic mayo, the flavors taste Cuban as much as they do Vietnamese. Make you grab a Viet coffee with sea salt cream on the way out." - Garrett Snyder

Nice little mom and pop shop selling bahn mi’s. Got a grilled pork one with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Drink was solid, the bahni mi baguette bread was pretty standard, not as good as the one I’ve had from Lokal in Palms. Fillings were fresh ingredients, with the grilled pork reminding me of a sweet pork jerky I used to eat as a kid back in Asia.

Two Bahn Mis you MUST try: lemongrass chicken and roasted pork. Unless you are vegetarian :-) The veggie sandwich won't disappoint. The iced coffees and teas are pretty good but overpriced for what it is. Service can be a bit slow but always friendly!

Hands down best sandwich shop in LA. The lemongrass beef and roasted pork sandwiches are amazing. The customer service is great! The price is perfect.

This is my favorite secret lunch spot in the south bay. I always get a Vietnamese iced coffee and either bbq chicken or sesame beef (or both). More expensive than Lee’s, but definitely higher quality and bigger portions so IMO a better value.

My go to spot for Vietnamese banh mi when in LA. Super tasty sammies with loads of fresh toppings on a beautifully soft yet crispy french bun.

This place is AMAZING!!! I had a #1 there yesterday and let me be honest...I may be going back today!! The sandwich was delicious and those pickled onions....oh man. This place is definitely one of Torrance's hidden gems.

Great tasting, and great quality authentic goodness. I cant wait til they open back up full-time so i can pop in anytime, since i don’t live in the area anymore. It’s a complete meal, main appetizer and dessert! And I love little businesses, especially women, and minority owned. I will back every time I’m in town for a Thursday or Friday for pickup.
