Sky Bakery: A Sweet Start 🍫🥐 This morning began with a question: “Honey, breakfast, lunch, or dinner today?” “Just the usual,” I said. “Let’s get our chocolate scones from Sky Bakery.” 🥰 It’s our quiet ritual—warm, flaky scones, a cozy spot, and time together. Simple, perfect, and always worth it. Thank you, Sky Bakery, for being part of our love-filled mornings. ❤️

Stephany Triska

Google
My husband and I love visiting little sky bakery for treats! Our favorite is the chocolate chick scone, but you can’t go wrong with any of their selections! Also, try out their sesame seed bread.. you won’t regret it!

Mike McCarty

Google
I bought Chocolate and Black Currant scones. What a disappointment. Not scone-like at all. They are both heavy dried cake-like. Scones should be crumbly, flakey, light. These are not.

K Min

Google
The quiche and original chocolate chip cookies were excellent! However, I was disappointed with the chicken and mushroom bun—the dough was too thick and tough to chew, and the filling wasn’t juicy enough.

Cheryl Robinson

Google
I happen to walk past and saw all the wonderful display of bakery items. I started talking to Savannah and was offered a sample… I bought a couple of things and they were delicious. Savannah was courteous kind, and knowledgeable. I am not from the area, but if I ever do go back, I will make sure I stop there again

Google
Delicious! Scones are nummy and not too sweet. Cookies are super delicious- especially the double chocolate chip- it’s like a brownie! 3 brownies really. Nummy muffins and fresh bread. Usually in a farmers market or pop up outdoor spot. Well with checking out!

Google
Everything looked so good that we bought 8 different items. They all ranged from gross to barely acceptable. Threw most of it in the trash after the first bite. Sat at a table on the sidewalk which was nice, and the guy working the counter was great, but what a terrible waste of money, would not recommend.

Google
My 1st experience was at the farmers market and I got the walnut raisin bread. It was dense and flavorful, not too sweet which was perfect for my Mom since she has diabetes. I love their Olive bread because they use a combination of green and black which you won’t find elsewhere. 😋

Yelp
Can here after I had some cravings for some baked bread goods. LOTS of specialty bread options in a unique boutique street vendor setup. This leaf bread with olives caught our eye. It had more of a bagel consistency/texture and was a bit on the tougher side, but I really enjoyed it. We were craving bread with Kalamata olives, which they also had a loaf option available as well. No focaccia options though, since I was specifically looking for focaccia with olives after having it in Santa Barbara a few weeks prior. Conveniently located near the Caltrain station and nearby coffee spots like Philz and Andy's Town. This will likely become a staple of ours.

Yelp
Tasty baked goods located outside Philz in Menlo Park and at farmers markets! Minimal seating in the area but they have nice outdoor seating across the street at Little Sky Kitchen. The chocolate chip cookie with nuts and apricots is so yummy, one of my favorite items. I also like the ham and comte sandwich, although the bread can be a bit tough. I like that they have a variety of sweet and savory pastries plus more lunch-y items like sandwiches and quiche.

Yelp
Love this place! It's right by the train station in Menlo Park and I walk my baby over there every weekend for a scone or muffin or whatever looks good. Everything I've tired has been really good, including the savory items. Some favorites are the currant scone, breakfast bar, apple cake, bran muffin, and any of the pain de mie varieties. It's pretty pricey, but everything's pretty big so not a bad deal. There are a few benches right by the place, but it's mostly for grab and go. They also have a more sit down place with more hot food options right across the street.

Yelp
A cute bakery that we came across at the Menlo Park Farmer's Market! They had a pretty diverse selection of pastries, ranging from sweet to savory. We were going for something a lil more savory, so ended up walking away with 3 pastries for almost $45. This place is deeeefinitely on the pricier side, we got carried away with what we decided on ordering lol. The lox sandwich and artichoke pano were great though! The bread was a bit tough, but it made sense since it was sitting out for quite some time. The lox was super flavorful and I liked the smoked salmon. The artichoke had layers of pesto on it, which made it taste good too! Employees were friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had. We came to the market a little earlier so we were fortunate enough to order without a line.

Yelp
I've shopped Little Sky Bakery at the farmers markets (Menlo Park and San Mateo) and their bread is excellent. As someone who is gluten sensitive, I find a slice of their sourdoughs doesn't illicit a reaction and I'm able to enjoy. I've tried their olive bread (favorite), walnut and raisin bread, seeded bread, and regular sourdough. I usually grab a section for $6 and that lasts me nearly the week. They have a storefront in Menlo Park but when I visited, it was set up as an outdoor pop-up tent very similar to the farmers market.

Yelp
Omg legit hot lunch for $10?! Sign me up. I was so excited to try the pork belly, carrots, and cabbage today. I literally ate the entire box in five minutes. I scarfed it down. Delicious and I love the fact that they have different free samples at the checkout counter too. A-mazing. I'll be back.

Yelp
This bakery is probably one of my favorites on the peninsula. One time I bought a Basque-Japanese inspired cheesecake that was AMAZING. I brought it to a house warming party and it was a hit. Side note: I am basque and it was exciting to buy and try a dessert inspired by the region and a fusion with another culture! Anyways, I also recently tried a cookie and it was perfect. I love soft cookies and this one had chocolate and nuts for all the texture queens out there. I also ordered a cinnamon bun but ate that faster than could take a photo so not pictured here. Needless to say, I'm a regular. :)
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
When everything on display looks delicious, I let my sweettooth decide... No nut choc chip cookie$6, currant scone $6, cinnamon roll $6- all ok. Choc chip cookie is 5 star large, chocolaty but a bit soft and gummy moist if you like a bit of crisp in your cookie. Currant scone is sourdough based giving it more of a dense bready bite- definitely have this warmed with butter. Skip it if you like your scones to be tender crumbly. Cinnamon roll is full of plump raisins, the right amount of cinnamon and not overly sweetened with icing. All ok, but next visit will listen to my savory side...

Yelp
Omg. Please have everything at this bakery! Especially the Nutella bun, the jalapeño cheese bread, and the whole grain loaf. Everything is so amazing and delicious. My favorite bakery by far . We are lucky to have you and so happy that you opened a shop next to Kepler's as well. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Challah with Nutella paired with an espresso (the espresso came later, just wanted to emphasize how awesome this was)!! That happily went in my belly right away and an original chocolate chip cookie for later. I don't think there are any wrong choices at Little Sky, so go crazy.

Yelp
Nice mix of Scones & Breads today at the Daly City Farmers Market. They also had large cookies and other yummy baked goods. Grabbed a yummy scone. it was nice to have fresh baked goods at the market.

Yelp
We try to visit this booth every time we visit the Mountain View farmer's market. They have some great little Mando and flat bread pizzas. It is a bit pricey but delicious. They can heat it up for you.
google avatar

Yelp
Looks good but bread stuffs are dry. Gets drier the next day so need to eat it right away. Biting into the lox baguette; I think it might rip my teeth out.
google avatar

Yelp
The girl working at Belmont farmers market is always so sweet! I watch her interact with customers and even with a long line she remains calm and collective. Today I tried the sourdough chocolate chip scone and it was a great decision. So chocolatey but that sourdough tang balances the sweetness so well. I also got a no nut choco chip cookie. Also so much chocolate. These pastries are HUGE. they are definitely made for sharing. I couldn't help myself I had to try the scone on my way home before I got a perfect picture. And what the heck the bag was so heavy I had to weigh the chocolate chip cookie!!!! It was .6 of a pound lol insane! Next time I'm trying the ham and cheese baton!

Yelp
Was walking around Menlo Park in Palo Alto near my hotel and found this pop up bakery next to Better Buzz Coffee. As I was passing by I noticed the HUGE Williams Empanada filled with artichokes, parmesan, mushrooms, zucchini, and a touch of (unspicy) berbere. OMG!! Sooo good!!!!! We ordered Chocolate Chip Cookies Bittersweet chocolate, toasted walnuts and pecans, and a little bit of apricot make these luscious cookies. Delicious!!!! I love the apricot in them!! We also tried the Spinach Mandu and chicken Mandu . Everything was very delicious!!! Come and support this pop up place!!!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place and didn't realize they were here every day. I thought this bakery was only at farmer's markets. Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin - super spongey and moist. I didn't realize there raisins but it did give it a little bit of texture. I really liked how the lemon flavor came through. Cinnamon Roll - super fluffy. The cinnamon wasn't super strong but it was the right amount of sweetness.
google avatar

Angel L.

Yelp
Really delicious and hearty veggie focaccia! There are little chunks of cheese hidden in the dough, which was a lovely surprise, and definitely added to the savoriness of the bread.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
This is a cute small but powerful bakery. We loved there large assortment. We couldn't decide so we got a lemon, poppyseed muffin, vegetable focaccia, sausage flatbread, and half a loaf of sourdough. Everything was super fresh and tasted amazing. Super glad we found this unique place. Lady was super helpful in answering our questions (since it was our first time here) on the variety and never made us feel rushed. Ever the locals behind us in line said everything is delicious

Yelp
Found this spot when they were in attendance at the farmers market in Santana Row - they are there Wednesday's from 4PM-8PM! I had the cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie and ham & cheese bread! All were tier 1! You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. They are huge!! If I'm ever in a Menlo Park or driving thru, this will be a spot i stop at for sure!

Yelp
Visited the San Mateo's Farmer's Market and came across Little Sky Bakery as I was looking for a pain d'Epi. Little Sky Bakery had so many varieties of breads, pastries, cookies and sandwiches! It's true to not shop when you're hungry as you want everything! Ended up purchasing a pain d'epi, jalapeño cheese bread, a lox and cucumber sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie for a friend...it was quite a hefty cookie too! The jalapeño cheese bread is one of the BEST I've had. Great texture, flavor with added sesame to give it a nutty component. I could've pulled that bread throughout the day and eaten it myself...but then I'd be paying for it later! The lox and cucumber sandwich was yummy but for me, hard to eat as the French bread was chewy and thick. Sure, I have some mileage on these chompers but so glad they spread cream cheese and dill on both sides of the bread. That way I was able deconstruct and eat it more civilized. Still delicious! I did see the William's empanada which was filled with artichoke, zucchini, mushrooms and parmesan....Not a traditional empanada as it was like a giant calzone and could be shared with 4 people! Yeah that big! I decided to wait until next time as I still had other stops to make! I'd definitely return...pricing reasonable and items delicious. The only issue is the person helping me wasn't able to get my card to read on their portable card reader (didn't have issue at 3 prior spots) and didn't offer to try at another station. So had to scramble for cash, remove items from my purchase and dig at the bottom of my purse for change...lol...but noted for next time to bring cash.

Yelp
Little Sky Bakery, a cute lil bakery stand located near the Menlo Park Cal Train station, with friendly staff n pleasant atmosphere. During my visit, I had the opportunity to try their Mushroom Bread and the Pork and Veggie Bao. - The Mushroom Bread, while decent, leaned towards the drier side and had thinly sliced mushrooms. It didn't have the desired flavor punch I was hoping for, but it made for a satisfactory side option. - The Pork and Veggie Bao was quite enjoyable and savory. The bao had a generous amount of filling and delivered good flavors - Overall a bit pricey, I think I paid $15 for these two items. Luckily they accept payment through Apple Pay or card, which was a nice surprise! It's worth mentioning that Little Sky Bakery seems to be more known for their sweeter pastries. I am intrigued to return and try their big cookies, which I've heard are quite popular and delicious.

Yelp
Got the mandu from the College of San Mateo Farmers Market (Chicken and pork/shrimp). This one was for Little Sky Kitchen which had mandu for sale. These are savory and cost $7.50. Very tasty (though maybe needs a bit more salt). Service takes a while to heat this up but you can order some to go as well.

Nick L.

Yelp
Had a chicken bun thing and a cinnamon roll. The chicken bun was tasty and a decent value. The cinnamon roll was dry except for the bottom, and much was soggy (but delicious) with butter.
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
Great little bakery outside the Cal Train station. The staff are super nice and all the pastries are fantastic. My favorite by far is the Egg and Chive but unfortunately they discontinued it. Please bring it back!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Quality yummy baked goods that I totally binged on. It was so good but also oh did not feel so good after. We tried the following: -Cookie: Humongous, chock full of dark chocolate chunks and walnuts, the apricots were a unique touch though I was not the hugest fan of them. -Apple Cake: This was my sister's favorite. It was dense, moist, and had a nice crust. Not to sweet and just slightly tart. Prolific amount of apples. -Pecan Tart - Rich and Buttery -Rolls: Large, fluffy, nice. Not much to report here. Mom brought these back so I can't really comment on the ambience or staff. Also totally plowed these down so didn't take any pictures.

Yelp
Came here at noon on a Friday on my way back from some errands. The parking is a little difficult on the street but it took me a couple circles to figure out there is an underground garage directly across the street. A friend had give me a portion of some mushroom bread that I found delicious and was hoping to find some more. The shop sits outside at least while I was there. From other pictures they do seem to have an interior shop but no one had access to it at this time. The line got pretty long about 10 people deep. Amazing for just a bakery but they seem to make some pretty compelling offerings. They had just brought out some chicken shiitake mando. Basically an oversized dumpling. I'm glad I got some more to freeze because it was juicy and all around pretty good! I'll have to make my way back here to sample more of what they have and hopefully one day get a hold of mushroom bread.

Yelp
Stumbled across their stall in the Berryessa Farmers market. I got their Kalamata olive and sesame seed sourdough bread, and one double chocolate chip cookie. All were amazing. The chocolate chip cookie was beyond amazing!!!!!! Definitely gonna try again.
google avatar

DrDuru A.

Yelp
I stumbled on Little Sky Bakery while walking through downtown Menlo Park, CA. In the corner of my eye, I spied a massive double chocolate cookie under the canopy, and I came to an immediate stop. I walked around to the front and was greeted with a dizzying array of baked delights. Not only did I buy a bunch of the double chocolate cookies, but I also got oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip. I bought the breakfast bar and challah bread for French toast. Every thing I bought was absolutely delicious. The double chocolate cookie is very rich and infused with sour cherries. A fantastic touch I've never had before. The oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies were more what I expected, but also came with a rich flavor. These cookies are like the Levain of the West Coast! Definitely a close rival. Amazing. I can barely describe the breakfast bar. It's a combination of fruit and oatmeal and sunflower seeds and more. It's a sneakily delicious and nutritious treat for breakfast. This was my first experience with challah bread. Later I compared to Whole Foods brioche challah. No comparison. Little Sky wins hands down. The braided challah bread was perfect for French toast with a sweet flavor and a perfect texture. Amazing. Now anytime I am in the area whether the main location, a pop-up, or farmer's market, I have to buy something. What a wonderful find!
google avatar

Corinne C.

Yelp
So happy they're at the Daly City farmers market! The Nutella challah is so good especially when I take it home and heat it up a bit, for a tender inner crumb, generous amount of Nutella, chewy/crisp crust. The famous William's Empanada is more of an empanada in form, but not in carb. Imagine a giant sourdough loaf folded in half and filled with a fantastic savory veggie filling. It's huge and very substantial. I heated up slices in our air fryer/toaster oven, and it was enough for a stand-alone meal. Can't wait to try some of the other offerings!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Tried the Menlo stand after discovering this through the San Mateo farmers market and becoming obsessed with their pistachio challah. The mando were excellent and the pistachio and Nutella challah were exceptional as usual. I'm really bummed to learn they'll be discontinuing the pistachio challah. Our entire family is obsessed with it as is everyone I talk to about it. No clue why this change is being made but it is really quite upsetting to see a long time favorite disappear--it was literally our entire reason for visiting the stall at times. At the very least release the recipe for it so it isn't lost forever! Excited to try the new cafe that just opened.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite artisnal bakery in the Pennisula! Personally I think their bread has better flavors than some of the other bakeries in the Pennisula. Our artisnal bakeries are so good so it's doesn't mean other places are not fantastic but Little Sky is even better for my tastebuds. I prefer their loaves to both Backhaus and Midwife and Baker. Of course how you want your already delicious bread to taste is a matter of personal taste preference so def have to try for yourself! But for me personally the breads here have a more balanced and flavorful taste and reminds me more of European sourdough. I find many sourdough in the Bay a bit too sour and strong in flavor which knocks out all other flavor in the bread. I personally prefer more bread flavor and more depth to the bread, with the sourness as a compliment. They also have delicious and generously filled breads. I still think about the pistachio Challah I got here! And their breads freeze very well!
google avatar

Je M.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this lovely bakery at a farmers market at the PJCC and very happy that I did! We got the pistachio and Nutella challah rolls. After trying it we went back for more! Dense, yet soft, packed with pistachio and Nutella flavor ! The woman was also so kind and helpful! Cant wait to go back to try other items. Excited to share this lovely place with friends and family.

Yelp
Must-try: their walnut raisin bread! Why go? Awesome people (Gucci is great!) and delicious breads, what else can you ask for? Don't sleep on their pastries either Protip: go visit them at the Fillmore Farmers market on Saturdays!
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
Thank you for the delicious mando buns. They're a great lunch for the family! Our favorite flavor is shrimp and pork. We hope you have even more of them next time we come. We also really enjoy your epi baguettes, whole wheat bread, bran muffins, rye bread, and sandwiches. Keep up the great work! Adam (age 41) and Leander (age 4)

K W.

Yelp
The pastries are OK, not great. They're too heavy. I ordered the pumpkin muffin last week, and it wasn't sweet enough. It could have used some raisins or currants. My husband didn't like his scone either. Too doughy. The bran muffin is too dry too. The chocolate chip cookies are OK, but way too big and heavy. They must have 1000 calories each. The breads are good, and the service was friendly on my last visit.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Paula and the team at Little Sky are absolutely amazing! Not only are their products some of the freshest I have had, but they're service and commitment to the community are unparalleled. When my church was doing a "Loaves of Love" outreach to feed and visit elderly members of the Bay Area, Paula immediately wanted to be involved! Her and her team stayed late to gather and package dozens their unsold products from the day for us. Their large donation resulted in dozens of extra people in need getting a visit with a warm smile and a package of delicious goodies. In a world full of businesses that seem to care only about profit over people, it is so refreshing to find a company that cares about its customers and community while simultaneously providing high quality, freshly prepared food at a reasonable price. Thank you to Paula and all of the workers that took the extra time at the end of their long day to support our program!!
google avatar

Rina D.

Yelp
Oh, my. We were strolling through one of the local farmers market and found this place. There were three of us and between us we got a chocolate chip scone, onion biyali, and a lemon ricotta bun. The bun was fantastical! The bitali was just the right amount of chewiness and my husband said the chocolate chip scone was the best he has ever had. Absolutely, highly, enthusiastically recommended!
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
Small bakery that operates from the front door, located next to Philz. I was definitely excited to try this place out when I saw it from across the street- the whole only offering a select few breads/pastries curbside and people lining up has that exclusivity appeal , but I was largely disappointed by what we got Bran Muffin- this was the only muffin they offered that day. Sure, bran is never anyone normal's favorite muffin... but this was the driest bran muffin I'd ever had. It was large... but that wasn't a plus when no one in my family wanted to eat more than a few bites. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie- they serve BIG THICK cookies, which I know some people are a fan of, but personally I prefer a thin well baked buttery cookie. My preferences aside, the cookie was so thick, that biting into it was literally biting into layers and layers of raisins... I mean I don't want 20 raisins in my mouth which each bite. Other than the raisin overload, the cookie itself just wasn't buttery or cookie ish enough, more like a dense bread. Loaves of bread- my husband did enjoy his soft Challah loaf.

Joan L.

Yelp
Their Country Loaf is the perfect bread for tomato toast, or for anything else for that matter.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I come here all the time! They have the best baked goods around -- the double chocolate chip cookie (with cherries!), onion bialy, and all the mandos are my favorites. The staff are so nice and it's placed in a cute location right next to the Philz by the Menlo Park train station.
google avatar

Evie H.

Yelp
We walked by Little Sky Bakery today at the Burlingame Fresh Market on Sundays! Decided to try out a section each of the olive rosemary bread and the raisin walnut bread and had some for lunch. It was really good! I love the sourdough texture and I like that it's not overly sour. Plenty of raisins in the raisin walnut - they definitely don't skimp which we love. The olive bread could use more small chunks of olive permeating but there were some bigger pieces scattered throughout and the olive flavor in the bread still penetrates quite well. I didn't heat up the bread and it was already so good without. I bet it would be amazing just toasted up a little bit. Definitely a fan and we look forward to trying more of their menu next time!

Yelp
I recently moved to the neighborhood and appreciated having a locally-owned real-deal bakery in walking distance from my apartment. This is the life reminiscent of my days living in Europe and Japan. Lots of sweet, savory and otherwise variety of baked goods. The only thing I'm missing is non-sweet breakfast bread options. Its either a big boule or squared sandwich bread loaves. They taste great, don't get me wrong, but don't hit the spot for me. I really appreciated fresh Brötchen from the local Bäckerei in the morning with jam, butter, cheese, soft boiled egg, cold cuts or whatever else I feel like in the moment. In the meantime, I buy either a small loaf or boule and freeze half. I like the taste of the breakfast bar but have issues with its consistency. Too crumbly for my tastes.

Shelly B.

Yelp
Wow!! So delicious!! I had the nutty chocolate chip cookie (mix of nuts, apricot and chocolate) - absolutely amazing. It might be my new favorite cookie!! It beats every other cookie in the the Bay Area Pistachio challah - loved it and it wasn't too sweet which was so nice My new favorite bakery in the Bay Area. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this place, someone recommended it to me and I'm so glad!
google avatar

Ruobin W.

Yelp
Only had 1 loaf from here, but boy was it one of the best crusts I've ever had. Sesame is the way to go, folks! Their other stuff is probably good too. I think it was a perfect density and texture. For only $6, that little loaf seems like pretty expensive, but I think it's worth at least your time.
google avatar

Akiko I.

Yelp
I always pass by and wanted to stop and check it out. Just happened to see an open parking spot so it was my day to finally check it out. Ended up buying so much! So far tried the tofu bread, rye bread, breakfast bar, and the Radin bread! They are all so yummy. The cookie can feed 5 people for sure! The price was not bad! The bread was so dense which I love.
google avatar

Marshall Y.

Yelp
This chocolate challah is sinful. It's every little child's dream come true, a layer of Nutella an inch thick in a sturdy, chewy challah shell. It's what I've always secretly craved but never had the guts to do. Double chocolate chip cookie is almost like a brownie. Very rich. Excited for when they get a permanent spot next to borrone
google avatar

Connie H.

Yelp
First stumbled across Little Sky at the Mountain View farmer's market a while ago and would consistently buy from them every Sunday until we realized that they were based out of Menlo Park, which makes them very accessible to us. We usually get their cranberry walnut and sesame loaves, but have also tried both sweet and savory pastries and breads as well. I personally love their cranberry walnut loaves but have enjoyed everything else I've gotten from them before. Will be visiting a lot more often now that I know they're closer to me!
google avatar

Emman L.

Yelp
Had their giant empanada ($16). It's the size of a calzone with a sourdough crust, instead of a traditional dough, and here lies the problem. I bought it at 1pm and the bottom was so soggy! I would be embarrassed to sell this. This is precisely the reason why traditional empanada dough isn't bready like sourdough but it's like a non-flaky pie crust; to not get soggy. Gross!
google avatar

Lynn S.

Yelp
Shame on you Alex and Joel, hanging up on a customer is so juvenile. Pastries are so very dry and lack flavor. Go elsewhere!
