"Authentic Thai Curries and Soups An unassuming strip mall may not be where you expect to find authentic Thai food, but Little Thai is a pleasant surprise. Expect all the favorites, including Thai tea, spicy curries, soups, noodles, and stir fries. Their coconut cake is an unexpected, but delicious, addition to the menu. It’s the kind of place where actual Thais eat and the restaurant has even received awards from the Thai government."

Basil Garden Thai Cuisine is a locally owned favorite, consistently praised by the Sandy Springs Reporter and OpenTable diners for its fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes and attentive hospitality. The menu leans into classic comfort—pad thai, spicy basil chicken, and aromatic soups—executed with finesse and a sense of pride. While the place itself is cute, the experience was disappointing. The service was just mediocre, but the real issue was the food—completely overly Americanized and ridiculously sweet. No authentic Thai restaurant would season their dishes like this. The flavors were so off that we had to go somewhere else afterward because it was just that bad. If you’re looking for real Thai food, this isn’t the place.

I went here with my little sister. It was a great place for us to get to bond. Nowhere better to bond than over a good atmosphere, with great service, and EXCELLENT food. I think she said it topped her favorite Thai restaurant. And I can agree that Little Thai Cuisine topped who I felt to be top notch as well. Our waitress was very helpful and patient. She gave us suggestions to help us select our meals. We were not even in the area, but decided to give them a try. We both had the Drunken Noodles. And she took a fried rice home to go. With an "A" health score when we visited, I most definitely will drive out of the way just to come here again, and recommend them to anyone looking for delicious Thai food. THANKS Little Thai Cuisine!!!

Google
This place was so cute, the service great. The thai basil rolls were so so fresh with a delicious sweet sauce, and the chicken curry puffs were to die for. Masaman curry full of flavor, we left not feeling heavy but so satisfied. Loved it

I reunited with my friends at this restaurant after a year and we had an amazing time. If you're looking for a place to relax, chat, and savor your meal, this is the spot to go. The customer service was excellent, and they took great care of my food allergies. I'll definitely return.

I decided to stop here while I waited on my son and I'm so glad I did. The service was impeccable! I was treated so kindly by my sweet waitress and my food was really yummy. I had the Thai Iced Tea which I love love love and the Drunken Noodles with shrimp and I added green beans. It's so worth it. Plus they have indoor and outdoor seating.

Google
The food was FANTASTIC. We cannot wait to add this to our list of regular places. We highly recommend the chicken potstickers, pad Thai and Thai fried rice. The mango sticky rice for dessert was also tasty. Good food that is reasonably priced = BIG WIN. We went at the end of lunch and not many people were in the restaurant. Our server was kind, but we did run out of water. The little complex is in the middle of an exterior face-lift, so just fyi there is some construction going on.

I read the reviews and decided to give Little Thai Cuisine a try. We were seated immediately. We picked several things to try. 8/10 for the restaurant 9/10 for Thai Tea 7/10 for the dumplings 10000/ 10 for the salad with peanut dressing. It was amazing and fresh.. 3/10 for the won ton soup. The pork sausage was off 7/10 for the spring rolls 100/10 for the Shrimp Pad Thai 10/10 for the shrimp panang

Google
I had an outstanding dining experience at this Thai restaurant. The service was attentive and the ambiance inviting. The food stole the show with its authentic flavors and impeccable presentation. Dishes like Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai were flavor-packed, and the dessert selection, especially the mango sticky rice, was a delightful treat. Overall, a must-visit for exceptional Thai cuisine and top-notch service.

Yelp
Balance. Unity. Trust. The symbolism of this review being my 222 is not by chance! Little Thai provided delicious food, exceptional customer service and was extremely accommodating when a neighbor business decided to stop serving food earlier than posted times. Thankfully Little Thai was located in the same plaza and a short walk to paradise! My party was greeted, provided menus and steered towards booth. Due to A/C we advised on preference to sit on the patio. It overlooked the vast parking lot shared by all businesses and had accents of Asian culture. The interior also had intricate designs on walls and tables. The food was the real treat! Although advised that kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes, we were still afforded the opportunity to view menu options and ask questions. We collectively ordered the chicken curry puffs, Tom Yum Goong soup and Pad Thai. Everything was delicious and accommodations made to remove peanuts from Pad Thai. The only complaint I had was getting Tom Kha Gai instead of Tom Yum Goong. The coconut chicken was equally good and made up for not receiving the shrimp based soup ordered. Overall great experience, and never felt rushed! I look forward, really and truly, to returning to Little Thai Cuisine to taste the full gamete of offerings.

Yelp
Thank goodness they are open lat ! 10 pm on some days! I was starving and ran into this place that I remembered my friend took me to a couple weeks ago! Good food and very relaxing atmosphere! Good music they played in the background was very soothing! Especially after a hard day at work! I will probably come here again and again my to go food was very fast

Yelp
Been driving past this place for the past couple years and finally dropped in. It's right behind the fire station and plenty of parking. Inside is a decent atmosphere but fairly packed tight. Service was fast. Read the reviews but most were based off take out (take out and dine in always seem to be different). I ordered the Thai basil rolls to start and my gf didn't want any so score! They were sticky and perfect. Personally would have preferred the peanut sauce but the plum sauce was good. The house hot saki also did a great job of setting the mood. For my meal, I ordered the Thai basil fried rice with chicken and Thai spicy. Most places don't even come close to Thai spicy when you ask (Nam is the only place I've eaten that will honor your request and light you up). This place came close and my mouth was on fire after 1/4 of my meal was gone. Pricing might be steep but most Thai places that are good are. I'll be back here again and do recommend for smaller parties.

Yelp
Great experience! Friendly service and the food came out very quickly! The Pad-See-Ew was to die for and so fresh! I'll be back

Yelp
Excellent food and fast service. Restaurant is very nice and calm area. Workers were nice and the restaurant is mostly empty.

Yelp
Had late lunch there yesterday... Their deep fried avocado mango egg rolls are just pure delight!!! YUM!

Yelp
Been eating here for at least 15 yrs. My wife and I love the place. Very nice people, excellent food, good service, fair prices. I almost always get their Pad Thai. Probably the best I've ever had. Lol, it's what I judge other Thai restaurants by. My wife is almost as crazy about their basil chicken.
google avatar

Rich V.

Yelp
Great good at great prices! Definitely check out the larb and Thai roti, but the basil rolls are delicious as well. All the dishes are authentic and well-made. You can also get large bowls of soup (try the Tom Kha Gai) to share for the table. Pad Prik King and Basil Noodles are both awesome!! I love the Thai iced coffee as well. Support family owned local businesses to keep Sandy Springs unique!

Yelp
I haven't ate Thai food in at least 2 years. I stopped by spot since it's close to some other businesses I run errands at. I was pleasantly surprised at the experience. Pretty quick service, real attentive, and good cuisine. I order the Pad See Ew & it was so good. The sauce with the broccoli... perfect. As well as the noodles!

Yelp
Came here with the wifey on date night and we were pleased with the food and hospitality. Food came out hot. I enjoyed the dishes we ordered. I especially liked the beef cubes served with lettuce. The spice level was two jalepenos but needed more heat. Our friendly server provided us with extra spices for our taste level. Outdoor seating was a plus and the food came out promptly. I'll have to add this as one of "go to" places. Be sure to check in first to get 25% off an appetizer!
google avatar

Yelp
A great spot for Thai food! I have been there Zendesk l several times. My favorite is Pad See Ew beef or shrimp! The service is quick and the food is delish! The parking in the plaza is not great because it's shared with a few other eateries and a busy restaurant on the opposite end.

Danielle M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite local spots! I've been coming for years and always enjoy it! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. Tonight I ordered a pick up order on Uber eats. I had ordered the wrong item, when I checked the box and realized my mistake the staff was incredibly kind and made me what I had intended to order. It was right before closing and they were so sweet to do that for me.

Yelp
Good solid traditional Thai food with no gimmicks. We enjoyed the basil chicken, pad Thai and green curry. Service is good and prices are ok.

Annice H.

Yelp
I love their fried spring rolls and panang curry with shrimp. They give you a generous portion. They also have the best thai iced tea I have ever had, it's so so good and tastes very authentic. There's an Asian lady who always greets everyone too. I believe she's the owner? She's welcoming and very sweet! I would recommend eating here :)

Yelp
At first, I thought this place was going to be tailored to the demographics of the area, but nope, I was wrong. Their food was pretty authentic (definitely in terms of spiciness). I went here with the coworkers for lunch. We shared the calamari, Thai spring rolls, and Thai dumplings. The calamari was okay. The description says young squid, and so, the pieces were small. But that is not the issue. The coating was pretty light that fell apart as you picked at it with a lackluster flavor. The Thai dumplings were pretty sizable -- for only coming with x4. The ground pork and shrimp were interesting combinations as one coworker did not seem to like it. I, on the other hand, dug it very much. I am partial to shumai, and this most certainly looked and tasted as such. My coworker was raving about the drunken noodles (pad-kee-mao) so that was what I ordered. Most ordered the beef and seemed to have liked it. Being the eyeball, I ordered the pork. My coworker asked since I had the pork how it tasted. I pondered for a second and said it was good but that it was not distinguishable because of all the spices. The description did have two chili peppers! The Thai iced coffee was balanced in its caffeine and sweetness. There was the typical heftiness of ice, but there was a decent amount of coffee too. Overall, the food was okay. The service was attentive with a few jokes thrown in -- like how the server joked about my male coworker having two phones meaning he had to balance two girlfriends. Haha. I would come here again and try their other dishes!

Yelp
We came in late but still got great service and food. The bowl of tum yum soup was huge, bigger than my face but it added coconut milk in their broth which I don't prefer but it tasted like tum yum so don't worry. : ) The drunken noodles is a good stir-fried dish so we know the chef is good at Asian cooking. Green curry is awesome as well but I wish it to be more spicy like I used to have in other places. The server was cute and nice. As a very young lady, she knows what she was supposed to do and was very helpful.
google avatar

Ada S.

Yelp
I got the garlic chicken stir fry which was soooo good! Also got Thai spring rolls which were good and fresh. Our server was newer and learning but still did a great job. We also got a thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea. The tea was great and coffee was average. Not super busy on Friday night when we went but I do recommend people to try it out.
google avatar

Ishara F.

Yelp
The Thai basil fried rice and regular fried rice is good with shrimp, chicken, or beef. They never make it spicy enough even if you ask, but I have never experienced blandness or anything with the food. I like their seafood medley thing a lot. You get scallops, mussels, clams, shrimp and it has a lot of good flavor in the curry to eat with some rice. The pork dumplings lack flavor but for some reason I still like eating them lol. This place is a pretty good casual spot to eat at. They have sake and beer too.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Love the Pad Thai! I had pork this time and it was delicious... Ask for the spice tray and add your own heat level. The calamari was well cooked and very tasty too.
google avatar

Fahrina H.

Yelp
Ordered the Pad Thai for lunch takeout, the flavor profile was very mild in my opinion. Pad Thai is my absolute favorite thing to get at a Thai restaurant and unfortunately, this didn't hit the spot. I had called in the order and it was ready within a few minutes, so their service is relatively quick. I would say it was pretty reasonably priced for 11-12$ for lunch items. I would love to try some other items on their menu and don't want to judge off of one item.
google avatar

Peggy H.

Yelp
This neighborhood staple is trying so hard to stay afloat while trying to hire more staff, and it is kind of making it. The service was excellent, but the food came very slowly (understandable and completely acceptable under the circumstances) but my soft shell crab curry was burned to a crisp and came with potatoes (which I hate) instead of the promised pineapple. I can forgive slow food, but it needs to be properly prepared. I mentioned the lack of pineapple to my sweet server but no offer was made for an adjustment for my crispy entree. Sadly for Little Thai, there are exceptional Thai places around the corner, so I won't be back.

Yelp
First off.... Everything was cold, we live 6 minutes away from here. The food looked really good! But unfortunately it wasn't that great. *first I tried the Thai spring rolls and they were not great. The chicken didn't look like it was cooked from them, more of a grilled bagged chicken form. I took off the tofu because I am not a fan of it. It was just very cold and very vegetable-ey. Don't get me wrong, I love my vegetables! *second I tried the calamari which was surprisingly good. It was still pretty cold, but it had a good crispy ness to it. *Next I had the massanan curry, I asked for HOT specifically and there was no level of burning. As if it were not hot at all. Very disappointed.. the food was cold as well. I heated it up in the microwave and it was decent.. but no. Overall I would not go back. Very disappointed. I do think they are over priced for sure. We paid a good almost $60 for this.
google avatar

Marissa N.

Yelp
We ordered take out, for other restaurants we've sampled in the area this was good but middle of the road, standard. The veggie ingredients were plentiful and fresh, they also followed the request to add no bell peppers. We tried their new spring roll with mango and avocado which was good, fresh, large pieces of mango and avocado. Thank goodness the lettuce gave it some crunch, perhaps a pickled red onion.

Yelp
The Basics: Little Thai Cuisine is a Thai restaurant located in Sandy Springs. There is a nice interior and an outdoor patio as well. They also do a lot of takeout at this location. Things I like: I enjoyed a lot of the items we ordered here and I loved that there is an outdoor patio. I enjoyed the Potstickers, Panang Chicken Curry, and the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) with beef. I would highly suggest these dishes and I would certainly order them again! Things I didn't like: The spring rolls were a bit cold inside, they may have been frozen. Overall, a good spot to grab Thai food for a casual night out!

Natalie K.

Yelp
This is a place I used to love and have been eating at for many years. I liked the food and was very happy to have a place where I could eat good vegetarian and gluten free food. But tonight I was informed that all the curries are made with shrimp paste....NOT VEGETARIAN!!!! We had to leave since we can't eat that. If this is something that matters to you, please call the restaurant and ask them to reconsidering using that. If they advertise that they can make something vegetarian as it says on their menu, then they need to be able to do that. It is very disrespectful to their patrons - telling them it's vegetarian when it's not.

Yelp
Sunday night UberEats order, #COVID-19. We ordered Thai dumplings (pork, shrimp, wonton skin, steamed), Ocean Seafood with brown rice (shrimp, scallop, mussel, squid, onions, green beans, peppers in spicy basil sauce), and pad thai. Dumplings were ok, I liked the filling but wasn't crazy about wonton wrap. I thought it was a bit too thick. Seafood dish was awesome, just not spicy enough for my taste. I requested spicy sauce, sriracha, and hot mustard in my notes but they didn't include any of that with the order. No chopsticks either. Brown rice was seriously on point, too. I'm brand new to reviewing a restaurant without actually visiting it so take this for what it is. I guess this would have to be a new "normal" for quite some time :( Note to self: call the restaurant to make sure they include all of the sauces and utensils.

Wayne H.

Yelp
We order often and we like the owner and food but they forget items in take out and never offer any type of credit and overcharge for just literally a few broccoli and snow peas
google avatar

DeeDee H.

Yelp
*Past Their Prime* I've been a longtime patron of this little spot in Sandy Springs. I can't say that going forward. The service has degraded quite a bit, whether dine in our take out. I don't mind paying moderate l Prices for comparable food. But when prepared haphazardly, I simply cannot justify the cost or time. The Mamasan Salmon is overly sweet and the sticky rice was, practically, a BRICK when I attempted to fork a piece off, the entire disc came of the plate!!!!! It just not the spot it used to be.
google avatar

Helen P.

Yelp
Literally my favorite Thai restaurant. It's always packed and they are always fast and accurate. The shrimp Panang curry, spring rolls, shrimp drunken noodles are always a hit !!!

Dana P.

Yelp
So very taste and delicious food. Very polite staff . But little expensive! Good place
google avatar

Nisha T.

Yelp
This was my second try for Thai food in Atlanta and this the very best! Everything was so good and I will be going back! The service was amazing! We tried the Teriyaki chicken, yellow curry, steamed rice and vermicelli noodles. Chicken dumplings and crispy cheese rolls (like crab rangoon).
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
They were able to accommodate our large group at a table at the higher level. Had the Pad Thai today for lunch and as usual delicious.

Yelp
A little gem I happened to stumble across. Being that I love Thai I decided to give it a shot. I arrived when then were just opening for dinner so the server was a little short. I'll use that as the excuse. I ordered my fav the Tom yum goong soup. It was fantastic. Another fav was the stir fry basil I added chicken. The flavor blew me away. As an appetizer I ordered the springs rolls. You can't go wrong with spring rolls. I will def return. Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating, and nestled away

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this place after years of driving by. It's nestled in a semi-small plaza with other restaurants and small business right behind the new Sandy Springs City Center area. There's plenty of parking and overall this is a really good area to get anything everything you need/want. Sandy Springs is truly a little haven of good food, shopping and things to explore. I am a huge lover of Thai food so my expectations are high. I must admit, however, that I only tried one dish and a cup of soup so I will need to give this place another try. I tried the drunken noodles and coconut soup. The soup was just ok. My mouth didn't explode with flavor but it was good. The drunken noodles were tasty, but there was just something missing. I'm amazed by how many great Thai restaurants there are in this area so the competition is fierce lol. I ordered my food through the app but had someone else pick it for me so I can't speak to the inside of this place or the customer service. Ordering online was seamless and I wish every restaurant had this option. I'm sure in a few years time it will be standard. If you're craving Thai and have already tried some of the other places around this area I'd say go ahead and try here.
google avatar

Hiba K.

Yelp
The food is sooo good! So the restaurant wasn't crowded at all, the waitress sat us in our own little corner far away from others. All the workers were wearing masks as well. The Thai tea is a must for any tea lover. It was too good. I got the basil fried rice with shrimp and it was quality! The proportions were really big, so much so, I took a good hit home with me. 10/10 will come again.

Linda D.

Yelp
First of all, I will have to say that the food we had was excellent except that the heat levels were not according to what was ordered. The service was absolutely chaotic, with one person seeming to be the only one taking orders with lots of other people clearing tables and delivering food. Drinks didn't come till we asked for them (well into the meal), appetizers didn't come out till after salads and two of four main dishes came out and then only one of three appetizers came out and we had to ask for the other two. The other two main dishes finally came out but drinks had still not been delivered at that point. Service was totally disorganized with nobody managing the timing and delivery of the food. The ambiance was good - could have used the lights turned down a bit to create a more relaxing atmosphere.
google avatar

Mae M.

Yelp
Little Thai is one of Sandy Springs' gems! Whenever I am in town I make it a point to come here. The service is quick and you can always find a table or do takeout if you're feeling like a night in. They also have a large patio with fans when the weather is nice. I highly recommend the Thai Spring Rolls, Pad-See-Ew (I get it with pork), and the sesame chicken. They also have a good selection of alcoholic beverages. Definitely make sure to add this one to your list!
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Food was not all that is should be. The soft shell crab was obviously prepared before our Pad Thai so it sat in the window while they prepared our noodles. The sauce was thin and the crab Luke warm. Not good for $25. The older gentleman server was excellent. We were not in his section but he took care of us because our server did not know what she was doing. No quality check. We sat there without menus for a ridiculous amount of time. I just got up and found the water pitcher for my refill. Pad Thais is a great barometer to any Thai restaurant and our shrimp Pad Thai was only okay. 4 or 5 shrimp in a mound of noodles that were stuck together. Hardly any sprouts with a light sauce. I want umami, sour, salty, sweet when I eat Pad Thai. I doubt if we will return. Sorry Little Thai. Plz try again.
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
This food was so good!! We tried it on kind of a whim and we loved it. I had the Panang curry and my husband had basil noodles with chicken. They gave us large portions and we had a good deal of leftovers!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
The food used to be better. It is still a good spot to pick up dinner when we have a Thai craving.

Yelp
We were on a family outing on Mother's Day in an unfamiliar area. We opted for Thai and found this place online. It is located in a small plaza just north of Mt. Vernon Road and just west of Roswell Road. It is at the extreme right end as you face the stores. There was plenty of parking. We arrived a few minutes before they officially opened, but they seated us. The interior feels like they recently re-painted things and freshened up the décor. We were starting to use the QR-code menus when the waitress arrived with physical copies. They did not offer a lunch special on the weekend, but that is pretty standard procedure across most Thai places. We ordered meals but no appetizers, as we did not have a cooler for leftovers. Everyone liked their respective dishes (Pad Thai, crispy duck, and a chicken + eggplant dish). Everyone managed to finish their dish also, so the cooler was ultimately a moot point. Spice levels were good depending on what you requested. If I lived in the area, I'd go back to this place again.

Yelp
Unimpressive. This is not pertinent, but when I checked in, I typed in the restaurant and was convinced for a solid minute I checked into the wrong place. This is definitely where I was, but it's just a sign that there's a lot of Thai restaurants in this area. I ordered some Plum Wine (It's good), Thai Basil Rolls, and Pad Thai with Chicken. Soda here is in bottles, there is no soda fountain. The Basil Rolls advertise 8 pieces, which is because they're sliced. It's two rolls, cut into four pieces each. They're pretty good. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken without comment, and was given my order. It's fine. It's a bit tamarind heavy. Other than tamarind and salt it wasn't heavily seasoned. After having my food dropped off to me, no one came to my table until I literally had a single bite of food left, and I was asked if I wanted dessert and the check. I inquired about if I could have had this with some sort of spice, and they mentioned that they absolutely could have made it spicy, but didn't. I asked why this was never given as an option, and I was told that they don't ask when they're busy, or they just forgot. I asked why no one came out to my table the entire time when I was eating (About 45 minutes), and I was told that I was left alone because I was on my phone. While true, I did not have headphones in, did not brush anyone off. No one ever asked how my meal was at any point, and I absolutely would have asked for some chili paste or something to improve my meal. The waitress blamed me for why no one came out to ask, and upon seeing my mood instantly turn sour, she offered dessert. Knowing everything, this wouldn't have been comped, but would have just been put on my tab. My theory? I was by myself, I'm a small order, so they didn't care about my experience. Another waitress, as I was having this discussion, went to a nearby 12-top and asked them how their meal was, so apparently some people here care about how some people's meals are, but they did not seem to care about how mine was. There are a ton of really good Thai restaurants within 5 miles of Little Thai. I won't be back.

Yelp
This place is just average. Service is just okay, and so is the food. Dinner menu is more expensive than other Thai places in the area and the portions or quality aren't the greatest. I ordered Coconut Chicken Soup, sirloin beef salad, and Thai spring rolls. The soup was a bit on the sweeter side and I had to drench it in all 3 types of hot sauces they provide for it to taste decent. The portion for beef salad too salty and very small portion, despite the cost being more than other Thai restaurants. The spring rolls were very average. My total for all 3 was $26 (before tip) and it didn't even include an entree. Their patio is nice. The service is just okay. Not the best considering there were 3 servers and 2-3 tables at a time. I probably won't be returning here, and recommend other Thai places in the sandy springs area.

Yelp
For about $50 I was able to get 2 different protein lo mein dishes, some pot stickers, and some basil rolls. The food tasted good and didn't have the greasy taste of takeout. I'll definitely come back to Little Thai when I'm feeling Thai food again. It was also the first time I used Yelp to order takeout. I'll be doing that again as well. Come give me a follow here on Yelp and on Instagram @juston_hummel as I venture through Atlanta trying the various restaurants this beautiful city has to offer.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Terrible service 2 weeks in a row. Very unwelcoming and unpleasant. We tried to make it our "regular" restaurant but with 2 strikes in 2 weeks, we are out.

Shravani G.

Yelp
worst manager. she started yelling and abused me for big tip. she says i am not your slave to serve you and she said i need to order take away from next and not to come to restaurant. idiot greedy Unprofessional worst women She says her self as manager of THAI restaurant but she don't have basic managerial skills. Food is not so good basil fried rice smells with bad oil.

John V.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. The basil rolls had NO basil flavor. The ginger/tofu was good, but. You could barely taste the ginger. The worst were the flies- this is just unacceptable for a good dining experience.

Yelp
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Sandy Springs. They have a cute outdoor patio for a relaxing Friday night date night. All of their dishes are pretty authentic- crab and cheese rolls (2per order), Panang curry, curry with soft-shelled crab, and drunken noodles are a couple of the stand out dishes. Just a warning: I made the mistake and asked for a 4/5 spicy level on the drunken noodles and immediately regretted it :) Service is always amazing!!

Yelp
Best Pad Thai! Just as good as the Michellin Star Pad Thai I had in Thailand. The workers are extremely friendly & food came out fast! I highly recommend this place!
