I've ordered take out twice so far and both times leave me wanting to go back for more! The soup was packed separately and I had tasted it before pouring it into the rest of the grandma mixian and my oh my--it was so rich and hearty! I could drink the broth alone and be satisfied. The mala chicken mixian is made to be a cold noodle and I loved it! It was spicy and tangy, so full of flavor. I liked all the greens mixed in as well, Great for the summer! The chicken wings are bit pricey for $12 for 4 pieces and bit too salty for my liking, but nevertheless it was sweet& crispy. The shop is closed Sunday and mondays, just my luck the days I'm around the area and have that craving 😅

The noodle bowls were awesome and unique. Its taste was very interestingly uniquely great. The shrimp appetizer was very delicious even the lot of garlic! The restaurant itself is very small. You order at the counter and bring it back to eat at tables.

The food was fantastic and Julian, behind the counter, knew enough about the menu and ingredients that I felt comfortable trusting his recommendation on the noodles. It was dead, being as it was their first Saturday open, so I'm happy I chose then to go. Also, since it was dead, we got some table service too, which was nice and unexpected. I got to sit in the cute place, with the only non-dummy choking sign I've ever seen. To mention, the food was affordable in general, and a damn near steal considering it's Midtown. The next time I go I will definitely be trying the veggie middle bowl. Best first experience at a noodle shop I could've asked for.

Great little noodle shop. It’s very small, so seating is limited. Nice enough for a quick bite, but not a place where you want to hang out for long. Both bowls we tried tasted excellent and interesting. Definitely better than your standard ramen corner shop.

Have been there twice, for mala chicken mixian and grandma chicken mixian. The tasty broth definitely reminds of my grandma’s chicken broth - thick, oily (in the good way), and warming. The mala one also has a nice balance and spicy and chicken taste. The mixian itself is smooth and tasty as well. As a small lunch place, it definitely provide authentic taste. There are other places that is famous for Yunan Mixian that cooks food with the hot broth, but this one can bring the true grandma taste in front of you.

I got the Mala Chicken Mixian here which was quite good and is interestingly served cold. The noodles are quite slippery and less soupy compared to regular ramen. The dish was spicy enough that I could feel it for a while even after finishing the meal. PS : Their prices are all inclusive and it's policy to not accept tips!

Great, small spot. The staff is very nice, free cucumber water, and wet wipes for their deliciously messy melts. I got the Grandma chicken, get some chili oil on the side to make it even better, reasonably priced and great noodles. Great lunch spot for this area.

Got half way through my meal before I remembered to pause for a picture. I ordered the JB Melt and it came with chicken broth and marinated cabbage. I paid ($2) for some noodles and made it a party! Once I got back to my office, I started with the cabbage noodle soup to enjoy it while it's hot. After a few jealous looks from colleagues, I moved onto the JB Melt.... and realized I messed up! I should have started there!!! The beef is so flavorful and tender. The flaky crispy shell encasing that beefy goodness was divine! I want to eat in next time I visit to confirm my 5 star location theory. Three stars for the taste, texture, quantity, preparation and packaging. One star for the service (not in a bad way at all). The young lady who took my order was patient, funny kind and happy to explain each option to my coworker and I. They even have fresh cucumber water!! Welcome to the neighborhood Little Tong!!
