The 15 Best Old-School Italian American Restaurants In LA

"The red sauce cuisine at Little Toni's is pretty forgettable, but this retro North Hollywood haunt is worth a visit just for the narrow cocktail bar off the dining room. The drinks were revamped by a craft cocktail guru years back and remain some of the best in the Valley. Little Toni's famously used to have a Happy Hour special that included a free personal pizza with every drink. That deal is long gone, but you can still get a $6 pepperoni pie with your amaro-spiked Manhattan from 4-7pm and 10-11:30pm. The dining room was remodeled in the last decade, but the signage and pebbled glass windows are still charmingly vintage." - brant cox, sylvio martins, garrett snyder

First time here, and I was looking forward to dining in. A friend brought me to check it out. We order Toni's special pizza and was not disappointed. Pizza was so hot I had to eat my first slice with a fork 😆. The food was good but the service could be better. We had to ask for plates, and the refill was not to the top. This is a training issue, but other than that, I am definitely coming back to check out the lasagna and ravioli.

My friends and I came to Little Toni's on a Saturday evening. We had the bruschetta that was pretty tasty! The pizza was just ok.. The SALMON?! OOO it was grilled to perfection! But the sauce on the spaghetti was subpar and we could've don't without it.. overall, decent meal. The service was great!!

I visited at the suggestion of a friend who lived in LA and worked at the restaurant. My son and I showed up and it took a while to be seated and then seen by a member of the wait staff. Once they saw us though, the server was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, though the salad had a bit too much dressing and was soggy. The marinara was flavorful.

Grant, the manager is so rude. We tried to order food. He wouldn’t let us upgrade. We tried to ask questions and he was extremely rude. The food is normally really good here and the service too 10 out of 10 do not recommend this location. Grant is a horrible manager and not willing to work with the customers Do not come here. Do not get the food here do not support Grant. I don’t know who assigned him as the manager, but you made a big mistake. We refuse to eat here because he’s here and his service is so horrible. We were going to order the family meal and take the leftovers home. We wanted to upgrade a couple of things and we were told that we can’t. We’re not understanding why we can’t upgrade a salad and pay the difference. You would think that they would want the customers to stay and eat there we refuse to stay and eat there and tip anybody who was so rude and unwilling to work with the customer we’ve been coming here for years and the food is normally absolutely delicious especially the pepperoni pizza. It’s amazing service put a taste in your mouth. Your no good for this location.

Well, the history on this restaurant is that I drove by for practically about 38 years never went in until one day. I said I’ve always wanted to try it and was not disappointed. What a great environment. It’s been updated modern but kept it beautiful historical look great Staff full bar open late

Wow, what a great place, I am sure locals know how good Toni’s is but being from out of town you never know. We had four different dishes and they were all awesome. Portions were enough to bring some home for lunch the next day. Our server, Deanna, made the meal even more special. We are looking forward to coming back to try the pizza. Thank you. Came back, August 2024, because it was just so good.

Google
Place is cool, very old school but charming....I like their pizza! So cheesy, so gooey, so greasy, so bomb! The mozzarella sticks did not look the best but they were yummy seasoned properly and the cheese pull was pulling....lol The chicken parm was so good! Pasta was perfectly al dente (that's an art form that not a lot of places can master), and the rosemary roasted potatoes were also super tender and very flavorful! My boyfriend got some type of steak... he said flavor wise, it was the best, but the poor thing was struggling to eat it because of how tough it was! We ended our date with a slice of tiramisu, the slice was big, and the flavor was good....the coffee flavor was subtle but scrumptious none the less. I liked it! Check it out!

Google
Ordered lasagna for the second time. The first time was with two meatballs and this time it was with sausage. The sausage was not good at all. Seems like they were out of sausage and happened to find one in the walk-in, who knows how old, but I couldn't swallow the rubbery stale sausage. If I had been dining in, that plate would have gone back and I never returned plates back to the kitchen. I'm just saying.

Yelp
I read the reviews and was really excited about coming here for my first time. We got there around 6:45 and waited over 30 minutes in a warm, very busy lobby with only 1 bench that seats 3 people. I noticed there were multiple tables open but nobody cleaning them. We finally sat down and I ordered veal parmigiana (with pasta) and my son ordered pizza. The salad that came with my meal was bland and I barely ate any of it. I enjoyed the veal and pasta but I did have to ask for additional sauce for the pasta. My son enjoyed his pizza while at the restaurant but not-so-much a few hours later when he was in the bathroom suffering from food poisoning The restaurant and bar were louder than what I like. Our waitress was nice but had too many tables and barely checked in with us while we were eating. Sadly I can't recommend this place and neither my son or I will go back.

Yelp
Only 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic from the Hollywood Bowl and other Hollywood staples. I was introduced to Little Toni's a decade ago by a classmate and it is still one of my favorite places to eat at. They have been in business since 1956. Known for authentic Italian food and huge portions at reasonable prices. Located on a corner, parking can be an issue if they are extremely busy. Ambiance here is casual. The service here is great. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Our server was Gemma and she was amazing. I started off with a Cosmopolitan and it was delicious. I was impressed with the beverage menu as there is an assortment of different options available. Their menu also has a huge variety of delicious food. I personally love the calzone. It's has different cheeses. I always add an extra topping of pepperoni. It's served with a side of delicious marinara sauce. Another favorite is the chicken parmigiana. It comes with a garden salad and rosemary potatoes. Absolutely delicious. Paired with the fresh sesame bread compliments the meal perfectly. And of course one can never go wrong with ordering pizza. I finally understand why Italian desserts are so light and fluffy. They have to be after eating pasta and pizza. With that said, I cannot leave without a cannoli to go. These are absolutely delicious. Maybe because they remind me of a churro. Nonetheless, I had to stop myself from eating a whole one. This place definitely leaves you in a food coma. Overall, I highly recommend trying this place out. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Little Toni's is a gem in the city of north Hollywood! Food is always FABULOUS! They serve you huge portions and you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!! Last night our service was AMAZING but I felt bad for our poor waitress! She was super friendly and had a great personality but she seemed overwhelmed. If management is reading this, maybe more staff would help her out? Not really a complaint (please don't take it as such, I mean no disrespect), just a one night observation. Ambience, also wonderful! It was quiet but not too quiet (I know our group was loud ). It was a very cool, somewhat festival atmosphere! A guy had a birthday dinner and they came out with a huge cake with sparklers/flamethrowers(?).....just kidding, see my video! My group had pizza, Caprese salad, eggplant Parmesan, an Expresso Martini, two Cannolis, two dinner ice creams and Tiramisu, all were full of flavor, more than enough to share AND.....the prices were incredibly reasonable! All that food was only $91 with the Martini clocking in at just $13!! I would have thought it would have cost twice that! Way to go Little Toni's! I've been here before and they never disappoint! There's a bar that has happy hour and a large selection of drinks! Parking can be a bit challenging but you might have to take a short walk after getting a spot on the street when the lot is full. Overall you'll love this place, it's a restaurant you'll come back to over and over! Once you try Little Toni's, trust me, you'll be hooked!!

Yelp
Old school vibe. Little Toni's has a fantastic menu with salads, pasta, sandwiches and most importantly pizza, second most important item is beer. Service is great. It gets busy so expect to wait. This is one of my favorite pizza places for thin crust pizza. I find less is more and on my last visit I ordered a medium 3 topping pizza for my guy and I to share. It was plenty for the two of us. The pizza was topped with an abunance of cheese. Their sausage and pepperoni was fresh If you are super hungry for for a large. Pairing with a salad or mozerrella sticks would be the perfect combo. They have a small bar off to the side. I am sure they can conjure up some delicious mocktails as well. Dress code appeals to anyone. Wear what you want to wear. Parking is like finding a needle in the haystack. Advoid the parking lot altogether. If you are good at parallel parking Try street parking.

Yelp
We ate in the bar area and Alex and Mark were so amazing very available and kind and helpful in giving us tips. We ended up getting the lasagna, mozzarella sticks and cannoli were amazing. Best meatballs I've ever had lasagna exceptional Mark and Alex were so patient and just an excellent duo thank you for the hospitality.

Yelp
I have to say the pizza was soo good!!! I asked for extra cheese and they sooo delivered!!! Service was great no complaints!!! Ambiance was delightful! I love restaurants that are dim and this place definitely had that!!! Makes me feel relaxed!! I had a wonderful experience!! Will definitely be going back again and again!!!

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is a 10 and has been for decades. I grew up around here and was my first Italian restaurant and then my only Italian restaurant for many years

Yelp
My update to my previous 2-star review, dinged for mushy meatballs, the restaurant not sufficiently fulfilling our delivery order, and tooth-breakingly hard "fresh-baked" bread. We have dined in at the restaurant twice since my 2019 takeaway review. We attempted to dine in a third time, but it was a Saturday night, we didn't have a reservation, and we stood awkwardly in the lobby for at least 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us (the person who'd been standing at the desk the entire time), who then promptly informed us there were no tables available unless we wanted to wait over half an hour more. This place truly is hit or miss, dine in or delivery. The food [other than the meatballs] is always good - flavourful sauce, plentiful portions. The cocktails are nice and strong. When you eat there, the bread actually IS "fresh-baked" - as in, fresh, hot, and you don't need a chainsaw to slice it. I wouldn't say the service is great - I'd describe the people who work there as "barky". The desk attended yipped at us on that busy night, and one of the waitresses we had kinda bit my head off when I ordered, twice - about both drink and entrée. That wasn't pleasant. I'm not saying "don't come here". I'd just recommend that you come in a good mood so it won't affect you as much if you have to wait or be snapped at by the staff.

Yelp
Little Toni's is consistent whether it's dining in or delivery. They've been around since '56, so that says something about the quality and value.

Yelp
I recommend this restaurant if you love Italian food and pizza. I take my friends here and a few dates. It's also great for a family dinner. They've been around since the 60s I think. I usually order pizza, which is very filling, high quality ingredients, generous portions and plenty of mozzarella cheese. My friends were impressed with the pizza, but don't expect the the super thin New York style, check the photos and most importantly try for yourself. I heard of Little Toni's from the manager of Joe Peeps in N. Hollywood. There was a photo of Elijah Wood (The Good Son) and he said he also goes to this one. The waitresses are friendly and always on top of the game. Shout out to the cooks here, your hard work is appreciated. I'm a loyal customer since 2010!

Yelp
Got the chicken siciliano and spaghetti and meatballs. The chicken was tough and the flavor wasn't too appealing. The spaghetti and meatballs were bland and didn't have much flavor. They have a very limited amount of parking spots.

Yelp
I grab a pizza here a few times a month. Best place in town. Today was extra special because I met Liam at the front when I came to grab my pizza. He followed the steps of service to a T and was professional, welcoming and fast. Give this guy a raise. Grazie for the extra parm. Because you did that... I wanted to support even more than usual. So I posted about the restaurant. I never do that kind of thing. Just goes to show, one act of business acumen mixed with genuine affability can go a long way. Keep doing what you're doing little Toni's.
google avatar

Dinora A.

Yelp
I ordered pizza from here and it looked terrible and tasted that way too. They don't make their food with love here.

Tyler B.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of Little Toni's for years, but after today's experience, I'm seriously disappointed. I picked up my pizza just 5 minutes ago, and it was a total mess. Even I've made homemade pizza with better crust. I've recommended this place to multiple friends in the past, and now I'm embarrassed I did. When I showed the pizza to the hostess, she asked, "What's wrong with the order?" as if the crust wasn't messed up. I'm mainly upset with hostess's reaction as she completely gaslighted me. Don't get me wrong, I have had loved the pizza here - but this experience rubbed me the wrong way given she didn't care at all. I waited an hour for this pizza, and to be let down like this is unacceptable. I won't be coming back and will be letting the friends I've recommended this place to know about this experience. I understand they're busy, but that doesn't excuse poor quality.
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
Great little back bar. Great service. And pretty decent pizza to boot. Most places in the valley can't figure out their crust. Might have good flavor, but generally a super chewy and pretty bland crust which makes it inedible. Thank god, Little Toni's does not have that problem! So it will be a regular spot for me to get a decent pie from here on out. Is it amazing? No... is it better than most the local "competition"? Without question.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
Hands down, the best cheese pizza in North Hollywood! I give it 5 stars because it's open super late too. It hits the spot for that pizza you crave from NY. The vibe is super laid back, but it can get pretty crowded on the weekends. I've had the other Italian food there, and it's good too, but nothing tops the pizza! Grab a nice Italian salad to pair with it, and go to town!

Yelp
This place has been here for a long time even before Covid. The atmosphere could use some sprucing up but it does have that nostalgic charm. They have drink and food specials often but you have to visit and check out their blackboard. Also, there is a bar area (small) with a happy hour M-F 5-7pm & 10-11:30pm. I had the Vegetali ($15.95) which is spaghetti with your choice of mushroom, broccoli or asparagus. I picked asparagus. The sauce is olive oil and garlic butter (not listed is chili pepper flakes, so if you don't like it too spicy then request to your liking). We had a party of four and they served us two loaves or bread sprinkled with sesame seeds on top and butter. There are healthy portions throughout and the prices are reasonable. The place is clean but there was a stray wedge of lemon by our table which was not picked up the entire time we were there. Food was flavorful and no one had anything negative to say since we were all too busy eating... aside from the chili flakes that I had to send back and have them remake (I can't do too spicy) all the meals were delicious! I come here on occasion when I am in the area and have been eating here for more than 9 years. Try their pizza, it is pretty darn good. I also recommend their half and half choices (I.e. ravioli and spaghetti) if you can't decide and are trying this place out for the first time. Sauce is good and even better the next day if you have the need to take some home. NOTE: I did not get a picture of the half and half which was half ravioli and half spaghetti with meat sauce. TIP: Parking is limited but there is also parking across the street.

Yelp
Definitely recommend. Great food, nice servers, hip, cool neighborhood. Lots of people, lots of seating. Got a booth, my favorite place to sit at any eatery.

David M.

Yelp
Im seeing a lot of recent reviews are negative. This is no different. I was disgusted by my meal. Was super exited to try this place out. I always see it filled up. But now I wonder why? Maybe certain nights it's good but when I went..... oh my... just look at the pictures I will provide. I ordered a "pancetta". I will post what that usually looks like and I'll post what they brought me. One looks like a delicious meal that I would love to try. And what they brought me was literally a plate filled with poo poo was scared to try it. JUST LOOK AT IT! What is this! Also I was pulling out huge pieces of the rope while I was sifting through the poop.

Yelp
So I went back to Little Toni's to take the food back. The service sucks as well, one of the hostesses had an attitude. I spoke to Grant who said he was the manager. Ironically he had seen my complaints on social media so I am assuming that he knew that I was going to come in. He was not rude to me but he definitely was not mortified of the quality of food that was being served. In fact he and the hostess said that he was not working on Friday. I guess that meant that it was not his problem. Absolutely disgusting to serve food like this, lack of accountability was even more horrid. I did get my money refunded though No more Little Toni's for me, my entire family and anyone else that I know.
google avatar

Zumi V.

Yelp
Little Toni's is one of those places that's been around so long, they're over it. I live in the neighborhood, & have been here for both dine-in & take out several times. The wait service just makes you angry. As a former server, when the waiter looks you square in the eye & keeps strolling past you without a word, after you've been waiting 10 minutes for a drink order to be taken, that's just ---. Even the staff that seem to try look miserable to be here. Attitude aplenty from the waiter & the food is just so-so. The last time I had take-out pizza it was disgusting & cold. The salad also had the bad white lettuce & the whole meal was devoid of flavor. Don't bring your friends or a date here...you'll never be trusted to pick the restaurant ever again. "We just don't give a __" is the experience you'll get here from start to finish.

Yelp
My first time trying and I received a box that smelled horrible. I could not pin point this smell until I realized it was the sausage. They Served me spoiled sausage and it had a grayish tint. Disappointing first time experience

Yelp
Great food. Great place. Was expecting it to be a lil darker and dingy, but still a fun place. I question anyone that can have a problem here. The food was great and VERY affordable. It's better than any crappy chain, and the prices are so reasonable. Huge portions for the price, not sure how you could hate. The service was kinda wonky but I'll let that slide. I will be back! cheers

Yelp
The clam sauce is so delicious I can't get enough. Service is a little slow when crowded. But that a good thing they are crowded. It's a nice place to have a family outing.

Yelp
I had heard so many good things about the food here and I was so looking forward to trying the pizza and the pasta but it turned out to be a dud. I arrived for dinner after a long day at the Convention Center and was starving. I ordered a margarita pizza, spaghetti, and the fettuccine alfredo. The spaghetti was extremely over-cooked and flavorless. Same goes for the fettuccine. Both were very watery. I give the pizza a 3 out of 5, it had a nice crunch to it, and tasted pretty good to me, however it did have too much salt. I had a good experience with service despite my disappointment with the food. Maybe it was better in the past, and I wish it had lived up to the hype. Cozy restaurant interior, classic italian, great for pictures!

Yelp
Amazing pizza and Cesar salad every single time! I love how crispy they get the peperoni on the pizza, and they don't hold back on the portions. Cheese and sauce are very flavorful. Crust is delish and cooked just right. Cesar salad dressing is one of the best we've had. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Classic Italian American restaurant sporting a decor, menu, and ambiance reminiscent of decades revered. Little Toni's is a North Hollywood gem. A neighborhood go-to place for good Italian American cuisine, or a casual watering hole. A full bar is nestled one one side just behind the kitchen. The dining room to the right has comfy vinyl booths and tables that can accommodate larger parties. The menu is of no consequences or surprises. Pizza is a mainstay favorite, and your standard pasta dishes from Lasagna to Spaghetti to Linguine are well represented with the standard sauces. Chicken and Veal entrees are done with classic flair. There is a selection of seafood entrees, but respectfully this isn't their core competence. However, there are decent chops on the menu. Appetizers can be hit or miss. Garlic bread, brochette, and Mozzarella sticks are a great go-to. Do stay away from the calamari, but I did already mention about the seafood. Otherwise, a salad is always an excellent choice. The desert menu has always been quite a favorite. Where else in this town can you enjoy Spumoni?

Yelp
Happy hour ends at 7pm and includes a variety of food specials. There is also a chalkboard sign with drink specials listed at the bar. This was my first time in and I will definitely be back! Crispy wings with housemade buffalo sauce, and an 8-inch pizza did the trick to coat my stomach before taking down some tequila shots. Full bar and booth seating- all the things you look for in an old school Italian joint. I'm looking forward to returning for the chicken parmigiana. The service was quick and friendly, too.

Yelp
I heard the food was good and they are a NoHo legend but, we wouldn't know because the staff was so inefficient and rude, we had to walk out. We went in around 7:30 on Thursday, 2/15 and it was not very busy. We were unceremoniously dumped quickly to a table and sat there for 10 minutes before anyone even glanced in our direction or acknowledged our presence. When the waitress came to us, she looked like she was all coked up and blurted out, "Let me take your drink orders!". I said we were ready to order since we had been sitting there staring at menus so long and she said, "NO! We're not doing that right now. I am only taking your drink order!". That is when we got up and left. We explained to the host at the front counter why we were leaving and she said, "Ok.Bye." in a tone that said, I don't care and f@&k you.". Rude with just a real trashy feeling. Go down the street to Antonio's for a real Italian treat...screw Little Toni's and their classless, redneck staff. Adendum: my wife and I have worked in the restaurant business and know this to be inexcusable behavior in every way, from fast food to fine dining.‍‍‍

Yelp
Food was great especially their calamari and pasta. Ambiance is nice too . We received great service too .

Yelp
This is a kind of funky cool old school family Italian restaurant. No music, no TVs . They're slooow, but the food is good. Feels like the 1960s and has a nice bar in the back. The spaghetti sauce is great and the chicken piccata is exceptional. Nice inexpensive garden salad too. And they're open till 2am every night. .

Yelp
Came here for a date. We arrived 3 minutes after opening the waiter was nice and quick. Food came out in pretty good timing the chicken parmesan was unfortunately was to salty only had maybe 3 bites. Pizza was good flavor wise I only wish they chopped some of the topping up better and spread it more around.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Chicken parm was okay, the spaghetti marinara tasted interesting and that's never a good description of a simple pasta. Everything was so greasy, my hand was slipping on my fork because of it lol Very basic Italian eats and despite the price point I left disappointed

Yelp
First restaurant I visited after moving to San Fernando Valley. I enjoy Italian food so found a place nearby were we lived at the time. The parking lot is small but found a spot. I immediately notice upon entering was the space, looks smaller on the outside, a pleasant surprise. A bar was located in the back center. After being seated and reviewing the menu, ordered the Margherita pizza and Chicken Cacciatore. Full disclosure, I'm a pizza snob and fully accept that my expectations are very high, growing up around really good pizza joints. The pizza fell short of great but wasn't bad. Definitely made with fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the Cacciatore. The chicken was tender and the sauce was tasty. I have been a couple times since then when I'm in the area. The spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken Parmesan are worth trying.

Yelp
My family and I go to Little Toni's quite often, whether it's after a day out of just because. The food and service is always excellent! When it's busy, it could take a bit to get seated but well worth the wait. My favorites are the Eggplant Parm plate, or Eggplant Parm Sandwich. The pizzas are all hand tossed and are delicious! The bar crafts drinks well, have not had a bad one yet. Parking at times is a bit tough but again, it's worth it. If you haven't tried Little Toni's, and want a taste of Italy done right, don;t wait. Go and don't forget to grab a cannoli for desert or the tiramisu!

Yelp
Food -yum Service-pretty good, but sometimes they get busy Ambiance-perfect for an Italian pizza house I highly recommend them

Yelp
Went yesterday to finally try one of their pizzas. I was surprised how good they were. Not necessarily best in city, but low key a good option for the studio city-noho-toluca area to get a nice bar pie. They have options for well-done and crispy( I had both) and was very surprised how good the texture was of the pizza and minimal flop. I would say next time I might try less sauce and cheese cause it can get a little "soupy", but luckily they have options for that and alfredo/pesto options(for extra few dollars). Still not quite the complexity of the New Haven crust from Ozzys Apizza in Glendale, but a good option if you dont want to go far and more customizations as well as more other foods to go with it. Food came in time from when I ordered it online.

Yelp
I don't understand the review on this place. The ambiance looked nice when we first arrived. The waiter took a while to take our order and proceeded to serve the wrong dishes. My partner ordered a Ribeye medium rare and received a New York that was so rare it was barely even cooked. My partner asked to confirm it was a ribeye when it clearly wasn't and the waiter said yes and he asked the chef. We aren't idiots. I ordered the chicken Marsala and received the chicken piccata. My father's lasagna was cold when he received the plate. Honestly? If they didn't lie to our faces saying that was a ribeye when it was clearly not I wouldn't have been so upset. Take your business elsewhere if you're craving Italian. The food was mid with what we did receive and I don't appreciate being lied to by our server.

Yelp
Wow was our food bad tonight. The chick was old and so tough I couldn't chew it. What a shame cause I ordered the first time last week and it was fantastic. Exact same order. Boo

Yelp
oh man, this is such a hard review to write only because I can't even believe what just happened. I ordered a pan of lasagna to drop off at our local fire station for our firefighters, first responders, courageous men, and women trying to control the chaos. That's out there and losing their lives. Some of them in the process. OK, let me breathe for a moment. I'm getting carried away. all right when I ordered the lasagna, I said to the woman on the phone and of course they'll need some bread yes? And she said yes of course thank you I go to pick up my order and the total is a lot more than I've been quoted on the phone. So I asked for a detailed receipt they give it to me and I am shocked that they have charged me $20 for bread for the firemen. FOR THE FIREMEN! Now, thank the gods I can afford this that's not the point. So I asked, the manager wouldn't approve free bread for the guys to go along with this pan of lasagna? The woman looks at me like she hadn't even considered it for a moment and mutters somethingand then I think she muttered I'm not the manager. I'm not sure. I was just anxious to get out of there knowing that I will never darken little Toni's door ever again. By the way, as an addendum, we were also picking up things from sprouts and the manager from sprouts gave us two bags of protein bars, and pastries to give to the guys for dessert. FREE. Just shocking thoughtless little actions of little people at Little Tony's..

Yelp
came in on a Saturday night around 830. They had more than half the tables empty the employees in the kitchen area. were not busy they had a waiting list of about 20 to 25 people they wouldn't sit people down. Once we sat down the server gave us an attitude with everything that we ordered. All reviews regarding service is on the money

Yelp
Service was despicable. We dined in on Thursday, September 14th at 9:30pm. The host/waitress was clearly rude to us at first sight. We laughed it off and ignored it; however, it made us uncomfortable to dine. We made assumptions about the underlying problem but we knew it was her own personal problem that undermined our dining experience, which is why I chose to highlight service first. We ordered 2 cocktails, 1 app, and shared an entree. My Fernet and Coke was flat. My friend's Whiskey + Soda was good. Complimentary bread and butter were tasty. Eat it while it's hot. The Arancini balls with spicy red sauce was tasty. I really liked the red sauce! The Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo with spinach pasta good and fresh. The shrimp was disgusting--extra small and soggy texture. I would have preferred 5-7 big shrimp instead of 2 dozen little shrimp. I just ate the pasta. The black pepper on the table was low-quality and not freshly ground. I like the design and decor. It's nice that it's open late. I'd go back to try something else; however, I would not be served by a rude waitress. Oh no! I accidentally tipped her.

Yelp
Update: the happy hour offer of a free pizza with a drink has been revoked! Sadness! service is still great from the friendly bartenders. However I am saddened this happy hour is gone :( it was such a find!

Yelp
I really like the food and feel of the place. That is why I have my birthday parties here. But--they lost my reservation, twice. Another time they had my reservation but did not have it ready on time. I and my party waited for an hour! So I made a point of visiting the place a day or two before to mention my bad experience in the past, double-checking my reservation. After that, things improved a lot.

Yelp
We order here a lot. Love the Pesto Pasta, Pepperoni Pizza and Cesar salad. I wouldn't recommend ordering any of the veggies as sides. Find them very overpriced for the amount provided.

Yelp
EXPIRED! Their deli meats for the pasta salad and the cold cut sandwiches were all expired. All you are paying for basically is to help them get rid of their expired food. Unbelievable. Guess I should just throw in ambiance since I want to complete all categories: they have nice paintings all around, one of which was a painting of a shipwreck. Hmm...foreboding maybe?

Yelp
The food is amazing. Also the place has a chill family friendly place. It also looks very cool. The person who served us was very patient and nice. If you have kids or good friends then this place is a great way to bond with them. Also they have giant servings so share!!!
