In the basement of an old bank. The vault holds the booze. Food isn't bad but you might let your eyes adjust to the dark before reading the menu. A nice, cool spot to relax with a drink after a hot day in the Texas sun. Super cool, 80s alternative music plays over the speakers. The 18" thick rock walls give Scotland castle vibes. But the dead animals posted up over the red lights kinda creeped me out. The coyote eyes move. FYI.

We stopped by this charming spot while visiting a friend and were eager to try it out. The appetizers and burgers were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed my steak dinner. We ended up finishing every bite, which speaks to how much we enjoyed the food. The restaurant's unique setting in the basement area added to its charm. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We did encounter a minor issue with one of our orders, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently without any hassle. We truly appreciated the excellent service. Overall, we highly recommend this place and look forward to returning to try more of their offerings. If you're in the area, definitely come and check it out!

Feels like a secret, and looks like a indie speakeasy. Super cool, great vibe and would love to bring my friends and show them how cool I am. Ordered the desperado drink which was delicious and deceptively strong. The hot chicken bun was a house made chicken patty that they ground. I wasn’t a big fan of this sandwich but it was serviceable to be sure. Would have preferred a chicken breast for sure. Would love to come back, super cool place that I hope keeps its good service and good vibes. I was here around 4-5pm on a Saturday and it felt very safe and not a dingy or dangerous bar at all. My husband and I are not drinkers but we were tempted to stop by after reading the food reviews. I’m glad we did! The whole place was unique and had a cozy feel. The staff were very friendly and did not make us feel out of place since we did not drink. The shrimp and avocado dip was delicious!! The food was different and enlightened our taste buds. We loved the grilled smoke flavors that accented each dish. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back.

My husband and I took a day trip to Lockhart and wanted a quick bite to eat & some A/C! We were pleasantly surprised by the calm atmosphere (we went at 3:30pm) and the very kind waitstaff. They seemed incredibly young but were so personable and gave great recommendations on the menu. They seemed to work as a team, but Brayden, one of our waiters was a delight! So funny and kind. We will definitely be back.

Fun subterranean bar with creative decor, extensive drink menu, and happy hour specials. We enjoyed their happy hour Margarita, a great deal. The bar is accessible down a stairway around the corner from the banana puding shop. Free parking is available along the street.

Went here for a little date night and had some seriously AMAZING FOOD! This place has such a fun/funky vibe, and the staff was very friendly too. Felicia, I believe, was the bartender/server and she was awesome. We asked for a couple recommendations off the menu, which she happily obliged, not the the generic "everything's good here" response you sometimes get. The duck special was DELICIOUS, like, lick the plate clean, delicious. The scallops in green curry was really excellent too. I don't have anything negative to say. My husband and I left feeling very full and very happy. We'll definitely be coming back more often.

My husband and I came to LT for our anniversary dinner on a Friday night. We loved our food. Started off with the street corn caeser, and was easily the best version I've had of that salad. Entrees were the quail w/ hash & cold smoked ribeye. We really enjoyed the service and atmosphere - drinks were also very tasty. Very glad we found this spot, and appreciate the friendly staff.

Being in Lockhart every weekend we are stuck frequenting the same places due to the limited amount of places that actually serve alcohol that isn't just beer and wine. Every place except for this one closes around 9pm or before on Sunday nights and thank God I found this one open later because this place knocked our socks off! This is our new go to place as the ambience is so unique and low key. It's underground with dim lighting and amazing music choices. The owner is super cool and kind. This place just has a really great vibe. The food was AMAZING. The drinks were perfect! Everything about this place was 100%. We had the fish and the avocado shrimp dip. I'd have to say this meal was one of the best I've had in a long time and the price was well worth it. As for drinks we had the lemon martini with a gin twist (wonderful) and the little margarita. The margarita had a nice kick with a little spice and it was great to actually have a bar made drink that wasn't your traditional margarita or beer. We are excited to come back already

BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE TROUBLE... we arrived for a celebration with reservations @6, there were 6 people at the bar... we waited patiently for the red head who was in deep conversation with guest seated at the bar to finish and come greet us, whew! She seated us took our drink order proceeded to get our server and headed to the bar , she grabbed our glasses to make our dr I nks and held them and cont her convo with bar guest glasses in hand for at least 10 min . We got our waters looked over the menu and ordered our starters, we were the only guest at tables to dine and waited 20 min for drinks, one drink was spilled from bumping into the other server and had to be remade. Drinks were good , starters to follow also good , we had party bread and mushrooms fried. Then came the entrée burger with buns charred black and my pasta with prawns also chared black! We asked foe new buns and a pasta instead of remaking prawns. We needed another cocktail but was never checked on or asked, finally got servers attention and asked what gins you had she didn't know, must be new, also didn't know about what the wines for the eve special and went to ask. We ordered a desert and then told it wasn't available, we were the first guest ordering food so not sure why they offered then said they didn't have it but put it on the bill anyway and had to have it taken off. The good... the cocktails made by the young lady with short blonde hair blue highlights. The bad ..... the price of the food that was burnt with the exception of the food fried, is the cook a fry cook? The ugly.... the red head didn't give a crap about anything but her conversation with the people at the bar who were not even ordering food! this was a painful 50 dollars a head meal to celebrate my son's new home in lockart, we have been to little trouble many times and never had a bad experience like tonight. "B" TEAM? MABYE I won't be going back , but seems like if I just wanted a drink at the bar and wanted to talk to the bartender this is the perfect place, dont drop $200 dollars like I did tonight to try and go out for a nice upscale meal in lockart you are better off getting BBQ! #FOODIE #BIGTROUBLEATLITTLETROUBLE

We were impressed with absolutely everything. First, even though it was still terribly humid and hot outside when we walked downstairs and entered the restaurant, it was cool and crisp! Such a welcoming thing when you live in the armpit of hell. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I've said it before but I'll say it again. It's such an easy thing for staff to do that makes the guests feel welcome even if you can't help them right away. Acknowledge they've come in! They did just that and seated us very quickly. We got there just before the rush which is usually how we roll. We ordered so many things. The bang bang calamari, the rotato and the ceviche. The calamari was perfect sizes and the crunch was real. The bang bang sauce did the job as bang bang sauces usually do. This one was tangier than most which I loved. Wasn't leaning on the mayo too heavily. The rotato is the always delicious spiraled and fried potatoes. You can't go wrong there. But the ceviche was the star of the show for me. Mango, cucumber, coconut milk, hamachi - I could eat it every meal and not get tired of it. We got so many starters that I was basically full so we shared the steak and potatoes. I rarely buy steak out because we make really good ones at home but I really enjoyed this one. Perfectly cooked. Seasoned with care and the potatoes were the perfect coupling. I'm excited to go back and try more. And don't forget the delicious drinks. I got The Dolly which comes with a titty mug you get to keep. Just do it. I'll need another one because you can't just have one titty mug.

If you need a speakeasy in your life, you have found it. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is on point and the drinks are delicious. Don't miss out.

Such a cool atmosphere. Foodie grade food. And drinks were all amazing...and we had a few. We had 5 different appetizers and I'd recommend them all. We will be back.

Little Trouble is excellent. The drinks are well made. The bar snacks are creative and delicious. The tunes are rocking and fun. The bartenders are delightful. I want to enjoy a frozen Paloma, eat a chicken fried mushroom, and listen to Slipknot every day.

Service is slow, food is horribly salty yet still bland. Ambience is cool maybe just for drinks. We went in and they only had about four dishes from their whole menu available. The server was uninformed kept having to go ask the kitchen and other servers what they had and didn't have and if they even had basic condiments I asked for. We watched our server chat up the bartenders every time I asked for something. She even came back and asked if I still wanted her to go get me some dipping sauce LOL.

Dark ambiance with eclectic animals throughout. I only stopped in for a drink but the bartender was nice. Some other workers there were arguing with one another which was a bit awkward and off-putting. I ordered the Electra 66. It was a little sweet but good. Not sure if I'd go again, but it was an interesting place.

Food is really good. Burger nights on subdays. Every week is different. Good cocktails and cozy atmosphere.

Great chorizo duck dumpling special. Service was amazing and accommodated my request to let me plug in my laptop to get some work done while I snacked and had a few beers. They were all beyond sweet.

Are you looking to get in a little trouble at Little Trouble? This underground bar/restaurant with a speakeasy vibe won me over in Lockhart. I visited for a week and this was one of my favorite spots. It's easy to spot as there's a neon sign that says Little Trouble with red Christmas lights adorning a railing in downtown Lockhart. I stopped by on Valentine's Day for dinner. Unfortunately, all they were serving was a price fixe menu and we didn't love it so we only stayed for drinks. There regular menu looked appetizing so I'm bummed I didn't have a meal there. Instead, I took advantage of their interesting craft cocktail menu and my cocktail was as good as advertised. The ambiance here is fantastic and makes for a great date spot. To go with the theme, they have some pics of classic Playboy bunnies. All in all, a really cool spot. Next time I make a return trip to Lockhart I'll make sure to stop here again.

We had such a great dinner here... and it's also fantastic for drinks. It was buzzy when we arrived with nearly every seat taken. The Crunchy Salad was probably the standout though the quail with black bean pasta was also excellent. My favorite cocktail was the armadillo sour. Highly recommend.

Food was dry unflavored. Waitress never checked in on us. It was Big Trouble not going back.

Don't want to tell you how good it is because I need a place to hide out from the mainstream folk. The food here, perfect and subtlety gourmet while offering a casual but very professional approach. The drinks? Even better - the neighbors have some competition comin' their way. The atmosphere - astonishing. The music?! Always on point. Love their love for true classic country, American soul and mostly, Dolly Parton. Take your girl out if you're ready to impress.

What a hidden gem. Casey and Dodds make you feel at home the second you walk in. The atmosphere is eclectic-ish that just fits the 100 year old basement. Then the drinks and food make the experience complete. I got so excited about all of the sensory stuff going on that I totally forgot to take pictures but honestly, the food looks just like the media photos. We had custom bar drinks and a local brewery beer to start. Appetizers were the TX Tartar and Fried Cheese. Amazing mixes of seasonings, cheese and meet in the tartar. The fried cheese was an exciting taste burst when you bit into it. Main Courses were the Grilled Ribeye and Al Pastor Fish. Perfectly cooked to the correct temperature, the ribeye is amazing. Now I would never order trout from a restaurant. Too many times, trout is ruined by the freezing/thawing process. This was the chef's suggestion so we went with it. I don't know how he did it but Casey prepared that trout like it was fresh caught that morning. Then the explosion when you bit into it. Sauces, garnishes & seasonings in perfect harmony. I drooled a little. For desserts we had the Banana Pudding Cake and the Chocolate Cherry Mousse. Wow is all I can say. So will I go back? Already did :)

The worst time ever. Food bad. Over charged for my oysters. There trying to hard. Sometimes a dish dot need fixing. After the make changes shrimp it ruined it Will never go back Prices are way to high. If u price it Wright everyone will come Emeril dose not work there for where's the shrimp. Could not find any in my app. Oysters bad. And what was that sauce?

I live in DC and eat out more often than not and I think Little Trouble consistently serves incredibly interesting, delicious food. This was my third visit and the drinks are always creative and well made. We had the Party Rice with salmon and local Kreuz sausage, as well as the off-the-charts cabbage and cauliflower crunchy salad. The quail was also very good. Combined with the casual but moody vibe, this is one of my favorite places.

Dinner was fantastic. From the ambiance to the food to the service. I was surprised and blown away. The next time we're close we'll be back. The chicken was impossibly tender. The steak had amazing flavor. The pork chop was amaze!

Are you adventurous? Trust your wait staff to reccomend their favorites! I highly reccomend the Hot Chicken Skins with Lime Aioli and the Bone In Pork Chop with Hot Mustard! Visited over a month ago and everything was amazing. The rib dog--a corn dog but a rib instead of a dog--was so fun, delicious, and a bit messy. Duck molè and ribeye mains were top notch. And I can't stop thinking about the creamed kale in the little cast iron ramekin. Just creamy enough without being gloopy, crispy kale, umami-rich.

Amazing food, always surprising, in a very good and Texan way. Their menu changes regularly, which allows for tasting different concept-ideas from the chef. And client-favorites come back too.

For how expensive the food is, it's not really that good. Food was mediocre and the service was kinda bad. Some rude servers but some of them are good. Overall vibe of the place is nice. good idea for a restaurant and bar, a good place romantically but like I said the bad service and bland food for the price is not worth it in my opinion :/

I absolutely loved this place, it's small, and has a secret feel to it. A coworker was concerned of this place because of the decor, but it's not at all like they thought. They were concerned about someone sacrificing a lamb in the middle of the place, but actually going inside it's pretty inviting. The picture online highlight a lot of the decorations they do have, but it's only like 3 stuffed animals hidden in the walls. Dodds took care of us and she was extremely nice and made us feel welcome. The food was amazing! For a very reasonable price. The menu is small enough to try everything on it. I definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful new restaurant with a very cozy and romantic vibe. Dodds was amazing behind the bar and Gilbert brought out some amazing food. I highly recommend everyone to come support this new local business. Burger nights are on Sundays and they are amazing!

What a treasure this place is, truly! Short drive to Lockhart and you will be so happy and full. From the cheese balls to the most perfectly cooked steak there is no disappointing. The Holy Spirit cocktail was perfect and the hostess and staff are beyond friendly. The restaurant itself is charming and and romantic. Whomever picked that wallpaper in the restroom knows what they are doing! Cannot wait to return and thank you Little Trouble!

I love a hidden bar, so this was right up my alley. My mom and I stopped in when we were passing through Lockhart. This place is dark and cozy. Decor is weird and cool. The cocktail I had was yummy, and so was the salad. I wish we had had more time to sit and eat an entree, because the "chicken fried" mushroom dish sounded TASTY. My one beef, so to speak lol, would be that I wish there was one or two other meatless items on the food menu, but i mean ‍ I get it. Great place for craft cocktails, I can't wait to come back

Amazing restaurant with a super hip vibe. It could be something out of Stockholm. Food was great and the ambiance even better. We had a party of seven and they accommodated us perfectly. We got four appetizers and seven entrees and I'm having a hard time picking a favorite. The party rice was thebomb.com

Every course and every wine pairing was pitch perfect. This place is FUN, the food is SERIOUS and extraordinary! I wish I had 6 stars to give. Thank you, Little Trouble, for making my 1st Lockhart experience the best culinary side trip of my time in Texas!!

This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is so unique and quirky. I have been 3 times and had 2 different types of fish. I had the ribeye last night and it was the best steak I've had in ages. The service is very warm too. I highly recommend.

One of the most genuinely trendy spots I've ever been to. They don't even have a drink menu, just a full bar ready to make what you want. Their food menu is modern while paying homage to Lockhart's small Texas town roots (for example, their schnitzel)--and it's all amazing. This is the spot Austin hipsters dream of finding on their own--convincing themselves they are the only one in the world that knows about the hidden glory of a hispter's haven. With this place, they might actually be right.

THE worst. Snobby, elitist wait staff, long wait for things from the kitchen. I'd never recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This restaurant/bar is below a historic building in the heart of Lockhart. The space has an old-world feel with touches of ingenuity and there's nothing else quite like it. The food is incredible, the cocktails are carefully crafted, the staff is kind and attentive, and they have done a great job adapting to CDC guidelines. A lovely and safe place to drink or dine in during these hard Covid times. Highly recommended.

I live in downtown Dallas and I am extremely surprised by the customer service and the quality they have. I would highly recommend you come here. Ask for Micheal the guy is absolutely solid.

Man oh man, little trouble in little Lockhart. This place is the place to be after 6pm. Hands down the best food (ribeye steak, el pastor trout, confit chicken, burgers on Sunday, pork chops, holy crap!!!). I grew up in a household with a mother that is a chef. I consider myself very proficient in the culinary world. I think I gave up cooking after eating here. Drink service is on point. Come down and get ya some!

Wow! What a great spot! It was everything that we had heard about and more! Because it was a beautiful night, our party of four sat outside. We had eggplant miso, party rice, fish, lamb with beets, and banana pudding cake! Drinks were wonderful! We all loved it! Hats off to the chef and our server, Lea. Can't wait to return! This place is well worth the short drive from Austin and an awesome secret jewel! Reserve a table in advance or just show up!

Waited a short time for a table for dinner around 8pm on a Sunday. The owners and staff were super kind and hospitable. This is a wine and beer only bar/restaurant so we would like to see them offer bottled or filtered water instead of tap water. But they brought us lemons and limes and that was good. All 3 of us ate the special, which was the $12 burgers - DELICIOUS!!! The chef knows what he's doing! Our favorite element besides the tasty burger and attentive staff, was the classic country music they happened to be playing on that Sunday night. My talented 83 year old Dad had a ball singing along. Wish they'd had a microphone for him! We also took a couple pieces of banana pudding cake with us. I'd say the cake was good, but I'd prefer pudding instead. Overall good experience, but probably not where I'll take my older parents again, simply because of the long flight of steps underground.
