Little Victories Coffee Roasters - Glebe

I was a regular for a long time at both of their locations, Elgin and Glebe. However, my last two visits to this location (Glebe) has left me very disappointed. I have been out of Ottawa for a few months, but I always remember the staff here being SO friendly and sweet. However, I guess their staff have changed, because the staff I dealt with the past two times were very unfriendly and unprofessional. Firstly when I walk in, I’m welcomed by stares and no smiles and then placed my order awkwardly so. When I proceeded to wait for my coffee at a table, one of the baristas placed the cup of water and coffee without even looking at me, or saying any single thing.. not here you go, not enjoy your coffee, absolutely nothing. That is just so strange and so rude! The service provided by your employees really makes up half of the business. I have always repeatedly visited here and brought many family and friends for two reasons: the quality of the coffee and the service provided by your employees. When one of those is missing, unfortunately you lose a customer, and in my case you lose many customers because of the amount of friends I’ve brought here. It really saddened me because your coffee shop had a very special and sentimental spot in my heart and to come for a coffee but get treated like this is really not what anyone looks for when going for a sweet cup of coffee. For the owner, your coffee is one of the best I had and the cosy vibe of your coffee shop is absolutely fantastic but you need warm and friendly staff to go with your vision.. and not the kind of staff I have dealt with. I wish you all the best in your business.

I appreciate the consistency of their coffee. The espresso machine is always dialled in. Doesn’t matter the barista, who are all wonderful btw, the coffee is always delicious. I highly recommend a Magic $4or Piccolo $4 (their take on cortado) or the Espresso Tonic $3.50 to try something fresh and new.

Overall, the coffee shop was nice, pleasant service and friendly and attentive staff. The coffee we ordered came out quick and smooth. The coffee itself was a little lacking in terms of quality and presumably the beans used, it tasted a little over-roasted. Price was quite good and decor was homely.

Small but excellent cafe. I have experienced 6-7 highly rated cafes in Ottawa but none compare to this one. Oat Latte and especially Chai Latte are both very delicious, the Pistachio Almond Cookie here I think is the best in Ottawa, especially excellent.

Honestly - best Cafe ever. The baristas are the nicest, they’ve usually got fantastic tunes playing in the morning, the vibe is chill, the coffee is great. It’s my favourite place to start a good day.

Lovely coffees shop. I love their espresso. It has deep roasted and nutty flavor. Well extracted with their beautiful slayerX machine. Strongly recommend! Staff are very friendly!

I love how they serve their tea (I ordered the Ambrosia black tea). They don’t have a lot of room to sit, but the long bench and the area by the window are cozy enough instead of a table. There are a few bakeries around with much better options for baked goodies but I prefer this place for a hot beverage.

Very nice barista, latte was quite beautiful! I appreciate that more coffeeshops offer macadamia milk - I think it pairs better with the taste than almond. Bit busy, but that's to be expected.

Great coffee spot nice and quiet but was looking for more baked goods variety! I remember they used to serve Suzy Q donuts but I guess not anymore

Abandon all those other cafes you may see along Bank Street and check out Little Victories. It's what coffeeshop dreams are made of! I was in Ottawa on business and had the pleasure of meeting someone here for a chat. I love the overall design. It's bright, clean, and provides such a cozy escape. The menu offers a wide array of coffee and tea, along with some baked goods. I went with a piccolo, espresso with a little bit of milk. Next time, I'll certainly get my hands on a cookie! The staff was friendly and wifi strong. Not much more this chick needs!

Beautiful little coffee shop. I had a latte and a doughnut. The latte wasn't too bitter for me. I liked it a lot. I sat in, and they gave me a beautiful mug with some nice latte art on it. I should have photographed it. The doughnut was delicious. The decor is very bright and inviting. I would go again.

If you want to start your morning with a little victory, you gotta come here! I'm not a huge coffee nerd but I do appreciate coffee culture and all things related. My friends and I tried their house blend which is a medium roast, and also tried their flat white. Both very tasty. They also sell all different kinds of blends of beans by the bag if you're into home brewing. Lil Victories would also be a nice place for a date! It would also do just fine for an afternoon of studying or even people watching. Come for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere! Thank you Little Victories for making my afternoon with friends that much more enjoyable.

Cute coffee joint with an airy feel - lots of sun! Coffee is good. We ended up here in the afternoon so treat choices were limited. Staff is good. Decor is good. Would I return? Yes Would I recommend? Yes. Great option for locals.

I came on a weekend afternoon to study and ended up staying 3 hours here! The shop itself is quite small, but it's really open, airy, and bright. There are only a few tables, so you might have to wait on the bench until a table clears out. I really liked the music here; it's the perfect coffeeshop type music! I got a latte (the large size comes only in a cup, so I got a small to sip while in store), and it was strong and roasty. They also have a jug of water and cups so you can serve yourself water. The baked goods looked delicious! There were a couple of donuts, and other baked goodies; definitely trying them next time!

Aw hell yeah. GORGEOUS espresso made on an absolutely stunning Slayer. I mentioned to the manager that the Slayer was developed in my city- Calgary- but despite its Calgary roots, none of the specialty cafes use them anymore; we're strictly a Black Eagle/Marzocco coffee town these days. I'm not entirely sure why. So it feels wonderful to see such a beautiful machine being used to its fullest extent. I got a Piccolo, which is a ridiculous bargain at $3, made in a tiny Duralex espresso cup- a Piccolo is the same as a Cortado/Gibraltar and is conventionally 4 oz, so between a macchiato and a a traditional cappuccino; the way that Little Victories does it is by pulling a much smaller shot (if it's 1 oz I'd be surprised) and the topping with about another oz of milk. It is absolute coffee perfection. I was so happy to see the coffee scene evolving this magnificently on this trip to Ottawa.

I read the reviews about this coffee shop so I grabbed a latte on my way, Great latte it is really one of the best and very cute wagon, staff were not friendly at all though but I'm sure they are not the manager or the owner so I would give it another try

They just started to get their yummy croissants again but their excellent coffee continues. I had a latte with an extra shot and it was strong and milky-just the way I like it. Right now their take out is down the alley so look for the bright pink.

WOW! This place has absolutely delicious donuts and my americano was a delight. Noe and Andrew brightened my cold Ottawa day with their cheerful service. I will be back.

Best coffee experience in ottawa without a doubt. Beautiful locale, great staff and fantastic coffee. I've never once been disappointed with a cup of coffee from LV.

Espresso = muchos bueno. Visited on a holiday Monday. Good vibe. Plenty of space. And that espresso. Nutty. Slight sweetness. Muchos bueno.
