"Just three miles away from Hvar Town, Little Green Bay is a quiet retreat on Lozna Bay, a finger of crystal-clear emerald water that laps against a small pebble beach. Opened in 2016 by a pair of French siblings, the boutique hotel is designed to blend into itssurroundings with stone terraces and judicious plantings. The public areas and rooms are equally natural, decorated with everything from linen tablecloths to polished concrete floors and stone sinks. All the rooms have balconies, the better tosniff the pine-scented air and enjoy the heavenly view, and some have private plunge pools. On the hill above the bay, the outdoor mini-spa features an herb garden anda four-person Jacuzzi. When not off exploring, guests can lounge on the wide daybeds set along the water’s rocky edge, relax on large beanbags on the beach, or take an inflatable raft out on the pristine water."

Little Green Bay Hotel | Best places to stay in the Dalmatian Islands

"Another world from trendy Hvar Town, in a remote turquoise bay backed by fragrant pinewoods, LGB markets itself as a luxurious guesthouse. Its contemporary design uses natural materials – stone, wood, polished concrete and raw cotton – to create an effortlessly cool 15-room retreat, centring on a pebble beach with floating beanbags and sea kayaks. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hip bistro, followed by Mediterranean delights such as original Nicoise salads, homemade ravioli and grilled octopus. They do essential-oil massage in the garden, and will even wizz you to Hvar Town by private speedboat should you wish for a night out. " - Jane Foster

We recently spend a week at Little Green Bay in Hvar, Croatia and had the absolute BEST time! Our vacation began when our driver - arranged by LGB - picked us up from the airport and whisked us off to a waiting boat where we cast aside our luggage and promptly began enjoying the scenery. In just under an hour, we disembarked on the charming dock at LIttle Green Bay! The hotel is situated in a beautiful cove that feels simultaneously private and convivial. Our room was lovely - with a comfortable bed, good linens, and a view of the Adriatic see. It would be easy to spend a week lounging seaside and enjoying the good restaurant and snorkeling on site but it would be a crime not to allow the concierge to organize at least one of the wonderful excursions that are available. While at LGB we made use of their daily shuttle to Hvar Town. We took three excursions organized by the hotel and we recommend them all highly. We took a bike tour of the UNESCO protected island, through vineyards and ancient olive groves. We did a day long fishing excursion and ate our catch for dinner, and we chartered a boat that took us island hopping, snorkeling, to a magical lunch on a secluded island, and a wine tasting. The tour guides on all of our excursion were thoughtful, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing their island with us. Similarly, the staff at the hotel were all friendly, warm, and happy to offer recommendations and assist with reservations. If it sounds like our stay at Little Green Bay was luxurious, relaxing, educational and fun, that’s because it was all this and more. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!!

We spent 3 marvellous and relaxing days at Little Green Bay - a true gem! Idyllically nestled in a quiet cove, LGB is absolutely fantastic for those who enjoy snorkeling (the water is unbelievably clear) as well as those who like long distance swimming (easy sighting). There is also the option of paddling and canoeing. LGB is a lot about enjoying its stunning, clear water!||We also took a fun boat trip to the historically fascinating island of Vis and strolled the cobbled streets of ancient Hvar town at night, a short drive away. ||Frane and Marta welcomed us warmly. The staff was incredibly attentive, offered great recommendations and assisted us with reservations. Thank you!||The room was very comfortable and we relaxed on our private terrasse with a gorgeous view of the cove. We enjoyed delicious and copious meals (I relished the truffled eggs as well as the pancakes for breakfast). And discovered delicious Croatian wines. ||There is a lot more to do on the gorgeous island of Hvar, and LGB is just a perfect, magical base for it. Go!

A peaceful jewel of well-being. Rare. Exquisite. Discrete, attention to detail, a warm welcome, a team dedicated to making our visit exceptional. The food was unrivalled - local products combined with international savour-faire. Restful nights in soothing linens in our comfortable, immaculately designed room with an expansive patio balcony. All nestled in the spectacular setting of the Little Green Bay.

Absolutely lovely and tranquil setting for a hotel- a secluded little green bay. They have kayaks and stand up paddleboards for use which is nice and you can swim in the bay. But aside from the location, which is stunning- I found the hotel completely lacking- a 3 star experience at a 5 star price. We thought the service was bad throughout- we didn’t get any intro to the place or information about what we could do there, and when we asked for anything it felt like we were asking for a chore. Given the other positive reviews, I’m wondering if a manager or owner who is usually there wasn’t there during our stay. I realize you don’t come to a place like this for WiFi but it completely did not work in our room which was a hassle for us. The water temp was also not very high in the room, less than what we are used to. Lastly - we didn’t love the food for dinner although thought the breakfast was nice - and what they packed for us for the boat tour we did was also very good. Perhaps it was our expectation relative to price that was the issue but we were left disappointed in the stay. I rarely write bad reviews but wanted to write this because I wish I’d seen a review like this before we booked!

We had high expectations and the Little Green Bay surpassed all of them. We woke up in the morning, jumped in the clearest of waters with our snorkels, then had a relaxing delicious breakfast on the deck. We were fortunate enough to also go out on a fishing boat that Marta at the hotel set up and even ate our catch for dinner! We will definitely be back. |Also if you like to bike definitely go on the bike tour with or without electric bikes

I’ve thought for days about the absolutely extraordinary review I would leave because summarize the sheer brilliance of this hotel is difficult. First off, any negative review left is a sheer reflection of the person and not the hotel. This isn’t one of those magnums hotels that has a gift shop in the lobby and a Dior boutique next to it. It is however, an absolutely wonderful 15 room hotel that offers nothing but peace and tranquility tucked away in a hidden bay. It doesn’t have a pool because why would need one when you have natures beauty at your feet. We came here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and stayed in the cocoon sea view room. Brilliant, you open your curtains and nothing but endless sea. The restaurant is phenomenal, the zucchini carpaccio I dream of. The breakfast, which is included, will have you looking forward to it every day of your stay. Fane I hope I didn’t mispronounce his name, his service is spectacular alongside Zara and everyone else at the restaurant. A special thanks to Marta, who exceeded our expectations in every way. Coordinated an extra day for us to stay, coordinated our private boat charter on the Axiom with Emil on an experience we will never forget. As well as our private wine tour with Maria who showed us the most spectacular wine cellars. If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate it will forever be embedded in your heart.

Littlegreenbay Hotel is a 5 star hotel masquerading as a 3 star hotel. From the modern rooms to the excellent service to the peaceful bay, this hotel was top notch. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive throughout our stay. They constantly checked up on us on the beach to ask if we wanted anything. The included breakfast was also great, and the restaurant for lunch/dinner was tasty and has breathtaking views of the bay, especially at sunset. Thank you Littlegreenbay Hotel for a fantastic stay on Hvar. PS. My recommendation for the hotel is to spin off the restaurant with its own brand as more people need to experience it!

Little Green Bay really is the kind of hide-out you dream up on a grey Monday at your desk. We spent three nights here and—apart from one quick foray into Hvar Town—never felt the urge to leave. The hotel sits in its own little cove, wrapped in pines and smooth stone terraces, so every time we looked up from a book or a cocktail we saw nothing but clear Adriatic water and the odd passing boat. Our room (a “Cosy” category) nailed the modern-Mediterranean vibe: natural stone floors, linen-draped bed, and a private balcony that caught the morning sun perfectly for that first coffee. Even with the place full it never felt crowded—just fifteen rooms means plenty of space on the loungers and an almost private-beach feel when you step into the sea. Food is where Little Green Bay really surprised us. The in-house bistro turned out to be the best meal we had on the island—think super-fresh sea bass crudo, a lamb ragù that tasted like someone’s Croatian grandma had been simmering it all day, and local wines suggested by a genuinely passionate sommelier. The only minor niggle: a couple of the junior staff weren’t always up to speed on menu changes or cocktail ingredients, so we did the odd bit of back-and-forth before ordering. Friendly, though, and quick to fix things once asked. Practicalities: the free 7 p.m. shuttle into town is handy, and the €25 cab ride back felt fair for the ten-ish minute trip. Yes, nightly rates sting a little high-season prices are what they are but when you factor in the peace, the setting, and that restaurant, it still came out feeling worth it for us. Bottom line? Little Green Bay is the spot if you want to dodge Hvar’s tourist bustle and cocoon yourself in laid-back luxury. A tweak to staff training and a touch less sticker shock would nudge it to a perfect five, but we left happy, relaxed, and already plotting a return in shoulder season.
