When all the other places in downtown San Jose are super packed and busy you can come here for some peace and quiet delicious pizza. Good drinks great service excellent salads, dessert and good company too never fails. We love this place.

Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night but sat at the bar and had excellent service. Good pizza and really good fries. We also heard the pasta was great for will need to try that next time. Restaurant is broken into two separate areas but you can move from one to the other freely.

Had dinner here recently. The place is nice and the service is quick. We tried the cheese and truffle pizzas and they were both great, truffle being my personal favorite. It was delicious but not overpowering which is unusual for "truffle" dishes. The caprese salad was a hit as well. The pesto pasta (I believe it's called "The Sicilian") was not as good as I would've liked. Whole the ingredients were fresh I felt the basil was a little off (like from a plant that has flowered) so I didn't enjoy the dish and took most of it home where it sits in my fridge. The meatballs were ok, nothing special in my opinion. We also enjoyed two different wines that complimented our meal very nicely. I will definitely come back, maybe stick to the pizzas next time.

This is such an overdue post. My husband and I rented out the entire Littlest Little Italy for our November wedding. We have been customers since the Enoteca days and we always knew this place was special. Our wedding was incredible and unexplainable. Josh was great to work with and the food was out of this world. And, the wine pairing and speciality was unbeatable. Mike G is a master of his craft. To this day, our guests still talk about how “unreal” the event was and gastronomy experience. Josh is a top tier vendor and has incredible attention to detail. Don’t overlook this place! There’s so much opportunity and space and the food is great. We continue to frequent and go to the events they host all the time. Downtown can have nice things!

I love Henry's HI Life but there is now a Italian place across the street. The new owners are the owners of Henry's Hi Life and the other owner is Josh who buy the way is the head chief and WOW can he make YUMMY dishes. (OMG) I go over there with my friends and get the Meat and cheese platter. there is nothing like this in the Bay area and the Meat balls are incredible. They have great salads and really interesting appetizers. Some of them you look at and say what? But when you bit into them it's great and very special dishes. So check this out. they have Pizza by the slice and whole pizza's the menu is very special to say the least. During the day for lunch they have fantastic sandwich's, pizza's by the slice and other Yummy dishes. Now in the front section of the restaurant is a full bar with the most interesting beers. They even give you a tast to see if you like it. (Pretty cool to say the least). And in the back is where they make the food and a full wine bar and lots of seating. this is a classy place and very comfortable. Parking can be challenging when there is an event at the Shark Tank but you will not regret the experience at this place. I love there fettucine with Peso sauce and a Caesar salad and maybe a slice of pizza if I have room or share it with someone. This place is really clean and well keep up. This place is fun and not stuffy. Even arcade games over in the corner for the kids. I really think you will enjoy this.

Google
Hosted our daughter's birthday party here and it was perfect- the service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the space was laid out to fit our needs and made sure we had all the help we needed. We were a fairly large group of 44 that included 12 kids so we had the opportunity to have the whole front of the restaurant to ourselves making it feel like a private event. We were allowed to bring in our own decorations and cake. The highlight was the kids being able to add toppings to their own Pizzas- which was a HIT! so much fun and definitely recommend as a family friendly event venue, dinner out with friends or casual date night option!

Hey Bibo’s you’d better come fix your place here. Dirty silverware and cold pizza, nearly certain they didn’t even warm it up. Forced 18% gratuity for operating the cash register and walking the food 15 yards to our table. Pasta was decent hence 2 stars.

Their shirts made me giggle Joshua is awesome thank you for the darkest beer recommendation, exactly what I wanted, and he made sure too! You cannot beat $10 for their refreshing house beer and a slice of pizza!! We'll definitely be back here!!

Yelp
I met a few friends here for a ladies night, and it was a fun place to hang out. Pros - Nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating - Large selection of alcoholic drinks. Friend said she had been there for a wine tasting and I could see they have a huge selection of bottles of wine to purchase. - The food was decent; pizza is a really thin crust New York style. The truffle fries a friend got were good! My friend who got the soup said it was amazing. Cons - Parking nearby is VERY limited. I came on a night when the Sharks were playing and drove around quite a bit before finding a $20 "Arena parking" lot. - While this is billed as a food hall, the food seemed to be the same choices, which were pasta, pizza, and some apps. Probably if you hate Italian, it's not going to be a fun place to go! - It wasn't super clear how service works; one place had counter service, but where we were sitting, they came to take our order. Also, when they took my credit card for the bill, they didn't bring a receipt back, nor could I put a tip on the credit card. I just left a cash tip. I would come back since it is a fun place, and it probably would be great to get a sharing cheese and charcuterie platter. Good idea to carpool though!

Yelp
First time trying this place when there was a Little Italy Festival. It's nice and chill inside, they sell different wine bottles and serve different types of food. I liked their Ravioli with mushroom and truffle a lot. The fettuccine alfredo was alright... I didn't really enjoy their Ravioli fettuccine noodles. The sandwiches were also very mid. The sauce itself is delicious tho. Chill spot to cool off especially if interested in drinking wine.

Yelp
Not that I've ever been super familiar with all of San Jose, but I had no idea that it had its own fledgling Little Italy neighborhood. Given that, I really didn't have any expectations for what the area would look like, but I have to admit that I still thought it was going to be...bigger. Clearly, it's still in its relative infancy, but only a block or so long? Then again, when you've got a place like The LIttlest Little Italy calling you home, you don't need to be all that big to have a whole lot to offer! Conceptually, this place is much like Eataly in that the business as a whole is made up of multiple counters/components. However, while The Littlest Little Italy is far more modest in its size and offerings, what they do have is still just as impressive - a wine bar (Ancora Vino by Enoteca la Storia), a craft beer bar (Birre by Pour Decisions), a pizza and pasta kitchen (Bibo's), a small retail shop, and an Italian beef sandwich counter (Torino Panino). In all? So much goodness located in the "littlest" of places! More than just having a lot of interesting food and drink to offer, though, The Littlest Little Italy itself is just a fantastic venue. Not only can you seamlessly order from each counter regardless of where you're seated, but each part of this place has a different vibe - chill bar vibes in Pour Decisions, cozy and warm in Ancora Vino/Bibo's, and a relaxed outdoor patio area that is perfect for thos warm San Jose nights. What's more, parking here seems relatively easy and it's just a few blocks from both SAP Center and San Padro Square, if you're looking for something before/after spending time at either spot. While I've only had the chance to really check out Ancora Vino at this point, my experience was terrific. In short, the red, white, and rose we had were all great, there are racks of bottles of the wines on the menu available to purchase, and they have a solid selection of charcuterie, cheeses, and appetizers that perfectly complement whatever wine you end up choosing to enjoy. However, I'm super curious about trying some of the pizzas, pastas, and, particularly, those Italian beef sandwiches. So much so that I'd gladly drive all the way back here just for that, though I certainly wish The Littlest Little Italy was closer to me. If it was, I could certainly see this becoming a go-to spot for my friends and I to have a relaxed night out!

Yelp
Wow, what a find! I happened to stumble on The Littlest Little Italy while searching for a new place to eat in Downtown San Jose. I realized it was a one-stop shop for Italian comfort food, and I saw that they also had a wine bar and taproom. It wasn't hard to convince my fiancé on trying this place out, and we were both very satisfied with our overall visit. We headed over to Little Italy around 2pm on a Sunday. Not going to lie, we were confused as to whether the place was open or not since the doors were heavily tinted. We peaked through a little alley and spotted several people in the outdoor patio. We found our way into the sandwich area at Torino Panino and then finally indoor where the wine bar and pizza spot were. One of the employees at Bibio's pizza explained that we could order any of the food from any section of the Littlest Little Italy, which will be delivered from their respective areas to where we were sitting. Appreciated the convenience. Service was excellent. Employees were friendly and helpful, and the food came out swiftly. We didn't have to wait that long for anything, really. We ordered a slice of cheese pizza, slice of truffle pizza, the Chicago style beef sandwich, and rosemary garlic fries. Food was great, and it certainly left me wanting to try other items for next time. My fiancé said that his slice of cheese was as close to a real NY style pizza, so that's how good it was. Loved my truffle slice. The truffle wasn't overpowering, and the shaved parmesan was a great touch. The Italian beef sandwich was fine. Honestly wasn't my favorite, but I can see the appeal. The beef was tender and nicely peppered. The rosemary garlic fries were very unique and delicious. Thin, light, and airy fries. The rosemary was pretty subtle. Felt like it was more of an aroma than a flavor I could taste, but the crunchy garlic bits were everything.

Yelp
Fun little spot in downtown San Jose in Little Italy. Ordered: Mushroom pizza Truffle fries The pizza is really delicious something about the combination of the marinara sauce and the cheese is just a comfort food. The truffle fries are really delicious. I like to dip them in my favorite ketchup mayo mix. Outdoor seating is where the real magic is. Yes it can get loud at times because the overhead airplanes but the ambience outside is very pleasant. Great for big groups. Recommend.

Yelp
The Littlest Little Italy is DTSJ's newest food hall. When I food hall I think multiple restaurants and variety of options, though that isn't necessarily the case here, it is a cute spot with two rooms with different vibes. When you enter you walk into a bright and light room that is home to Pour Decisions, a tap room, and Bibo's, the main food stand serving up pizza and sandwiches. You order from both at the same counter using the same POS. This room has TVs displaying the beers as well as others playing sports. The next room over, although much bigger, is a bit darker and more intimate feeling with less seating. This room is home to the massive wine selection, wine bar, salumi bar, and what seems is another ordering station for Bibo's. We didn't order in this room, but it looked like you either ordered at the bar or another counter in the back, again all of this coming from the same kitchen. Our group of 4 all ordered sandwiches from Bibo's and beers from Pour Decisions. PD offered pints, as well as smaller pours and flights. I had wanted a flight of 4 to try all the sours on the menu but was told they only do them as 3 or 6. We all ordered different sandwiches and everyone was pleased with their food, however the only thing that really stood out was the garlic rosemary fries - these were delicious! I got the Parma Johnny's sandwich - I liked it but would probably order pizza next time as I was expecting a bit more for it being a limited item. Sandwiches all ran around $16 before tax and the already included 15% service charge - which was not mentioned but luckily noted on the register in front of you when you go to pay. Pizza by the slice runs about $5-6 a slice. The ordering process was a bit confusing as the tables aren't numbered and we were asked where we were sitting. We said the other room and explained what table, but when the food came out the food runners kept having to ask us what we got as the food was not marked for the correct table. Seems like they still have a little bit of ironing out to do. One other thing that would've made the experience better would've been better music. They had bluegrass playing while we were in and it did not match the vibe at all. It was a total downer and got brought up multiple times. Metered street parking is available under the overpass, we came on a Sunday and it was free and plentiful at this time. Think I'll give this place another shot once they've been open a little bit longer and get into their groove.

Yelp
Amazing food, attentive service, and makes you feel like you've stepped into downtown Italy on a warm spring evening. Seriously watching them hand make pizza and craft everything from appetizers to main courses in an open kitchen makes it all come together. Had the specialty pizza, some gnocchi with a truffle sauce along with a cold beer. Definitely one of my new go to spots in San Jose. The owner Josh behind the bar is the best!

Yelp
Last week, I visited this restaurant and was delighted by its warm, inviting atmosphere and speedy service. The food was fantastic, making for a truly enjoyable meal. I highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
Newest food hall in San Jose. Just what little Italy needed in SJ. You can grab a slice of pizza for $6. There's a bar, games, & a separate room for wine & cheese. Decor is cute with godfather theme & Scarface scenes playing on the tv.

Yelp
I dream about the burrata salad (add tomato)! Their wine club is really great and the discount on bottles while you dine is another reason to go! Staff is friendly and attentive. Go!

Yelp
Very cute Italian food hall in Little Italy. One room features the brewery (also serves liquor) and some arcade games. The other room features the wine room. You can order food inside either room. Menu consists of charcuterie, NY style pizza slices, and italian sandwiches. The food comes out relatively fast. However it's somewhat slow to order as you can only order at the counter/register. They have a decent selection of craft beers. The rosemary garlic fries and Italian wings were my favorite. The Chicago Way sandwich was kind of lackluster although the meat was plentiful. The pizza tasted good but there were so little pepperonis. Overall I would still come again.

Yelp
The food is great but it is overpriced and they tack on an 18% service charge. Never in my life, have I been charged 18% when I'm the one walking up to the counter and ordering my own food. Also, if you are going to add an automatic gratuity, you need to have five star service. The guy who rung us up for ice cream couldn't scoop it for us? We asked him and he mumbled some reason why he couldn't. There was a woman behind the counter peeling vegetables. She couldn't care less. So we just waited and waited and waited. A cook walked behind the counter so we thought maybe he could scoop it? Nope. Then finally another woman came and scooped our ice cream. It's a tiny 4 oz cup - see picture. For comparison, when you ask for a side of ranch at a restaurant they give you a 2 oz ramekin - so this is twice the size of a standard side of sauce. Total for two gelatos, tax and automatic tip was $12.78, making each one $6.39. A little insane to me. It was delicious but having to be forced to tip, not even getting the gelato in a timely fashion and watching multiple workers unwilling to help the guest (when they're getting 18% on each order) puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
The big question: How did we miss this place?!! Across the streets from Henry's hi-life, this gem is a must to visit for several reasons, one most important by supporting local you are a part of preserving a historic building, I mean isn't that why we drive to SF to dine in a historic setting? Well we have it here! You have local beers, delicious authentic gelato (not ice cream passing for gelato) wonderful pizza and meat and cheese boards to pair with their local wine selections (an entire wine room!), you have paninis and fritas (fries) with a side of pac man or centipede all beautifully paired with some of the best decor ever! True to the Italian setting lots of cool pics of the original family who's building this was, a must to check out when you come. Mike the owner was super nice in explaining things to us, too, it's great for eating Al fresco as they have a nice shaded patio with a TV or nook in the back if you're looking to unplug. They have a nice room for a private party, too, what's missing? YOU...checking it out! We live in a historic area is San Jose, I must say this little food hall is as cool as it gets especially when everywhere around you is condo-lized or being torn down for one. Come on in and check them out and try the gelato!! I tried the Kombucha peach iced tea which was ah-may-zing and the hubby loved his super cold (guess that's important), #2 Hen House IPA... come support local and in this case historic!! Parking all over the street metered, order at counter and tell them where you're seated and they bring the food to you, in the main room you have Bibos pizza and the Pour decision beer counter, middle room vast local wine selection and in the patio the Tinos paninis. Buon mangiare e buon bere!

Yelp
We were recommended the Littlest Little Italy by a close friend. Just so happens we had close friends in town, so we decided to come have lunch here. What a gem! We sat inside, bright and plenty of space. There's a few arcades games, pretty cool. There's a fully stocked bar, along with a huge selection of wine and bottles. We all ordered a slice of pizza, and a bunch of wings. I had the pepperoni, classic. It was delicious. It's your typical NY slice, thin. Everyone else enjoyed their slices as well. The garlic, olive oil wings were amazing! We ordered a dozen and they went quick. It was fried perfectly and so flavorful. We eventually tried the other 2 flavors, salt & pepper and the spicy sauce. The salt & pepper were classics of course, the spicy sauce packed a punch. It was spicy so beware. The olive oil/garlic were the ones.. MUST TRY. We ordered a few beers and drinks, all came out great. The staff was very nice and it was a great lunch. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
First of all, love the location. It's a old converted bakery and it has a very cool vibe. I like it. So my wife and I wanted to try the Chicago sandwich at Torino Panino. This was on a Monday. If you click on the Torino Panino link on the Littlest Little Italy it stated it is not open on Mondays. This is not true. The owners should fix this. So we each shared a Chicago Way and a True Romance. The first thing that struck us was that the amount of meat depicted on the website and reality were vastly different. The reality was much less. The service was good, the food was just ok. The Chicago really needed some spice, salt, anything to give it some flavor but alas there wasn't even a salt shaker to be found. The True Romance was better due to the fact that the sausage was tasty. So far we were underwhelmed. The bill for 2 soft drinks and two sandwiches, before tip, $50! For that price I really want to be knocked out. I want the taste of the sandwiches to knock me off my feet. I want to experience true sandwich bliss. Eh, not even close. Oh well. So the price/taste payoff wasn't there (although the bread was very fresh and enjoyable). Based on this I have to give it a 3 star rating. Having said that, we are willing to go back and try other food. Maybe we will have better luck.

Yelp
Food is very bland, service charge is incredibly high. I'm not too picky with my food but I almost sent my pasta back. Service not the best either

Yelp
I came by to pick up some wine and a few snacks on a Sunday afternoon and had an interesting experience. The place looks brand new, clean and inviting. There are 4 different sections (and you can enter through any of these areas as they each have separate entrances)... Birre by Pour Decisions Taproom looks sort of like a diner with a few tables and seating, with the beer menu clearly listed on the wall. Then an archway attaches to the bigger hall/room which houses all of the wine (Ancora Vino) and has a little bit of seating (either at the bar, or there are a couple tables next to the wine displays). You can walk out the other side of this great room to a courtyard with seating, it's cute and cozy. And this courtyard has a doorway/archway that connects to Torino Panino sandwich shop. The interesting thing is, the combined menu with Bibo's (pizza), Salumi Bar (charcuterie and other dishes/snacks), and Torino Panino (italian sandwiches) can be found on the walls within each of the different sections of Littlest Little Italy, and according to the employee I spoke with you can order drinks by the glass or any of these foods from anywhere here. BUT, you cannot purchase the bottled wine from just anywhere. In fact, I'm not even sure the employees know where customers purchase wine bottles. They seemed a little confused/uncertain when I made my selection, found several counters that said "pick up" or had a register nearby, and got the run around before I finally got an employee to help me pay. But strange thing, I had to make two separate transactions (from the same register, at the end of the bar), one for the bottle of wine, and one for the food I ordered. A little inconvenient but not a deal breaker... especially when their wine and food were phenomenal and left me craving more! For bottled wine, I got the the Wild & Wilder Shiraz (The Opportunist), thick and smooth with balanced fruit mixed with hints of coffee and chocolate. For food I ordered a slice of the Italian pizza (from Bibo's), which didn't look that special, but the toppings were tasty, with a nice hint of saltiness, and went well with the thin and slightly crispy crust (I never knew I would like a pizza so much, that lacked the cheese). I also tried the Arancini (from Salumi Bar), and this was to die for! The mushroom flavor was tantalizing, each ball light and fluffy inside, and that whipped ricotta was the perfect complement to this savory treat. I will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
Great food ambiance. Great location. Good to follow for events. Great service. Italian culture.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night before catching a show at SAP center. Place was not busy yet, so very easy to grab a seat. We decided to sit at the bar because they didn't have any tables for two and we didn't want to take up a big table. Ordered the Burrata appetizer, whole combination pizza and a glass of cabernet. The burrata came out in about 5-10 minutes and consisted of a hand knotted ball of burrata, some arugula salad coated in olive oil with a bit too much salt, and about 8 or 10 crostini. Nothing special, but it was fine. The pizza came out next in about another 10-15 minutes or so. I'm not sure how I felt about the pizza. I know lots of people rave about the pizza, but to me, it was just OK. Crust was not a thin crust nor a thick crust. Sort of in between. No airiness to it at all. It seems as the yeast didn't get a chance to help the dough rise. For the price of the pizza, toppings were a bit sparse. One of my pet peeves are toppings not spread out evenly on a pizza. That was the case here. Toppings did not go to the edge with most in the middle of the pie leaving a big crust all the way around. Some slices had lots of sausage and others barely any. Same for the other topping. Don't get me wrong, the pizza tasted fine, just I found the dough and toppings lacking. Wine was very good if you like a very fruity cab. 2019 Eco Terreno Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall, service wise fine. Nothing exceptional, but fine. Everyone was nice and checked in on us a couple of time. Not sure how I feel about the mandatory 18% service charge. I was surprised to see it, but I would have tipped around that anyway. I guess I just like to feel I have a say in it.

Yelp
One star because customer service was horrible. Food was good though. The ladies at the counter were very rude. If you don't enjoy your job, please please do everyone a favor and go find something you enjoy doing.

Big Mama S.

Yelp
Bartender was slow and lazy. Beef sandwich was not comparable to a Chicago Italian beef. Meat was thick sliced and tough. Juice had no flavor. Giardinara is nothing like they serve in Chicago. I wonder if the owner or chef actually ever had a beef sandwich from Chicago. Clearly not! And beware they charge an automatic 18 percent "gratuity." That's a fee, not a tip. I am happy to tip when the service is deserving. Now it's clear why the bartender was slow and lazy - she's gonna get her money no matter what. This place sucks.
google avatar

Yazzy S.

Yelp
The place is spacious and has different vibes in each area. The truffle pizza was delicious, highly recommended. The reason for three stars is the lack of customer service, staff seems annoyed to take orders and are super slow when swamped. Hope training gets better.

Yelp
Had lunch here the other day with my wife and it was a lovely time. I'm a big fan of Bibo's's pizza, but there's so much more here. In addition to the pizza and a great craft beer selection, you can get Italian sandwiches and a wonderful Salumi bar with a terrific wine selection and salads. Service was great as you can order from any of the stations, the sports bar or the wine bar or the patio with the sandwich shop. I think this is a great addition for downtown lunch or any events at the SAP Center down the street.

Yelp
Incredible food! Great Sandos! Unreal Pasta! Great space for a quick meal, or event. Service was good too!

Yelp
The 5 stars is for the bread in the Italian sandwich at Torino Panino. There was a spread on the bread that made it more flavorful than the bread at Lee's Sandwiches, or from the Old Spaghetti Factory. The sandwich itself was great when eaten in a deconstructed manner, tasting slice by slice instead of by the mouthful. When all mixed up together, the meats became more indescript, but was still better than Subway. The beef sandwich was similar in spirit to Chiaramontes over by Backesto Park. It was like a log of sliced beef between the bread. I thought the Matt Cain Sandwich from Ike's had better balance. But the bread from the Torino Panino Italian sandwich; that bread still blew everything else away. The bread from the beef sandwich was too wet to compare, because of the beef broth.

Teresa A.

Yelp
Best delicatessen style Italian food you'll ever get. Grab and go or wine and dine. Very authentic and stylish for a fun night out! Definitely 5*****s Amazin service to finish it off!

Dor Y.

Yelp
Terrible customer service, Chicago sandwich lacked flavor and 18% service charge added to the total which was insane considering we walked up and ordered food at the counter. Would not recommend this place incredibly unwelcoming

Dan W.

Yelp
What a find near SAP. Different options from takeout to seriously good apps, pizza and a stunning wine collection. We had meatballs, pizza, the best chicken wings on the planet, charcuterie, killer rosemary fries. They really have it all. Just steps away from SAP, this is a total SMASH

Yelp
Great food options, for those that like casual Italian. A few different associated, but separate entities. Excellent wine bar in the middle. Outdoor patio space (dogs allowed). Pizza, salumariea, sandwiches, and gelatos. Great service. Highly recommended.

Keilani S.

Yelp
Came into this place after hearing about it on the Mercury News, and I was very pleased to have found this new hidden gem! They have an enormous selection of wines, craft beers, authentic Italian sandwiches, and pizzas by the slice or whole. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to try because there was so much to choose from! They also have a beautiful, rustic wine room filled to the brim with different kinds of wine, so if you're looking to for that perfect bottle of wine, they definitely have what you're looking for. The service was great; everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I got the Godfather Sandwich which was probably the best Italian sandwich I've had yet and it came with fresh, house made potato chips too. Definitely a great place to bring yourself or your fitness and family. And I'm definitely coming back soon.

Yelp
Great beer selection. Bibo's pizza is great. Sandwiches are awesome. Caprese salad is delish.

Yelp
Charged advance 18% service fee! Got the regular pasta and have the same amount as the kid's pasta and double the price! Not even come with soda as they describe in menu. Not recommended.

Yelp
We were so excited to have a new food hall in San Jose - like a mini San Pedro Square Market without a lot of the hassle and crowds. Their focus is mainly on Italian food which is my favorite so no complaints here. They have Bibbo's pizza, an amazing sandwich shop, wings/ fries, charcuterie and a couple appetizers including delicious arancini. We tried the white truffle pizza - mouth watering! We also tried the wings which are absolutely delicious and quite unique. The sauce is bright, bright orange and is half buffalo and half marinara, super yum. I also appreciate that you can order all the food with one person so you don't need to go around to each area (for example the sandwich shop is right outside but you can order from inside). They have an extensive beer and wine menu as well. I am not a member, but I think they even have a wine club. This is an excellent option and addition to the downtown food scene and a really innovative approach.

Yelp
We tried the Wrigley and the Chicago Way. The sandwiches come with a side of freshly made chips. We really enjoyed both. The meat was tasty, especially the sausage with the beef in the Wrigley. We ate on the outdoor patio in the back and split a beer. I also appreciated the microbrew selection in the cooler. The person who waited on us was very attentive and just overall kind and pleasant. He suggested we eat outside. The outdoor patio was a cute, shaded, and spacious area with a TV so you could enjoy a sports game while eating. While we did enjoy our food, I think the additional charges are a bit much for what you get. Example: I ordered "all the vegetables" and cheese on my sandwich, which added a couple more dollars to my order. My sandwich alone was more than $20 with the add-ons, yet I could barely see the cheese (let alone taste it) and the extra vegetables I received in comparison to my friend was a very small amount of arugula. We also split an order of potato salad that was $6 and fairly small for the price. Overall, I think this place has great food with fresh ingredients and a great environment, but I think you need to be careful with adding anything extra to your order. I would definitely go back and get another sandwich but would probably just order it as is.

Yelp
Is more like a bar than a restaurant and the service is super bad you are not acknowledged when you got in and the food is not that good, very disappointed and I will definitely on my next visit to town I will definitely look for another pizza place

Yelp
Do I mind tipping absolutely not....but when you force 18% automatically that's pretty out of hand. Ordered one slice of pizza and it cost me over $10 with the tax and tip. For that price it better be the best pizza slice I ever ate. Pizza was just ok.

Yelp
We were so excited to find this place advertising "authentic Italian sandwiches"! I grew up in Chicago and I know an authentic Italian beef. This should have been good, but it was disappointing. First of all, the price was shocking! $16.95 for a sandwich is high, but then when you add an 18% "service" charge to it, our 2 sandwiches came out to $43.05 (with about $3 tax). $43 for 2 sandwiches and NO SERVICE! You order at the counter and they bring it to your table when it's ready. $6 for bringing it to our table - geez! And it's not like we were in a proper restaurant - our sandwiches were served in paper baskets (like a fast food place) with plastic utensils (we had to ask for). We ordered the "Chicago Way" beef sandwiches. It was NOT an authentic Italian beef sandwich. The beef was cooked right, sliced right, looked right - but it lacked the flavor you get in Chicago. It needed pepper and whatever spices that are normally used. And then, there was no giardiniera! Instead, they used flavorless garlic cloves (we couldn't identify them; thought they were some cubed tuber vegetable). And some little red sweet peppers:( Wrong, wrong, wrong. The au jus was almost flavorless, too. The only thing they got right was the bread - it was perfect! Their menu says it's freshly baked. It tastes like the classic Turano bread. I also went next door and got a glass of 2015 Nebbiolo wine. It was good, but the pour was stingy. And my $14 glass of wine, ended up costing me over $18!!! Because again, they charged 18 or 20% "service" charge. Since when do I need to pay someone $2.80 to pour a glass of wine? My husband and I are people who tip well. But we pay for REAL service. In Summary: We left feeling ripped off by Torino Panino and Ancora Vino. We will vote with our wallets and we will NOT be back! I suggest that more diners start refusing to pay these ridiculous NON-SERVICE fees and go to the restaurants - there are many - that don't charge these fees and give you value for your dining dollars.

Yelp
as you can tell, the parking in this area SUCKS--and if you don't know, now ya know! anyway, i came here here on a monday at 4:20PM, there was 1 person sitting near the bar seating area (not sure if it was an employee or customer). doors were wide open, so many wine bottles! but there was a man moving boxes that carried wine in them and he never greeted us or anything. i had to ask if they were open and he said "yes" in a odd way. i was with 1 toddler and one other child. it was my first time here. a woman approached and i placed my order. she said we can sit outside or the seating on the other side (of the kitchen/bar area). we sat on the other side and they had some Arcade1Up games available but unfortunately only Pac-man seemed to work and they never mentioned anything about it *just in case*. after placing our order, she told me we could pay afterwards and not even 3 minutes after ordering our drinks and pizzas arrived! that was very excellent and expeditious service but it could also be because we're the only customers. My sister got the pepperoni slice and my toddler got Truffle. My sister didn't like that the pizza was so flat but she said she liked that the pepperoni was beef and said it was cheesy. My toddler didn't enjoy her slice at first because she wanted to play games. shortly after she took a few big bites from her slice and removed mostly all the mushrooms! LOL. she definitely enjoyed it after having a bite. i asked for less green onion because i know she can get picky about it sometimes. as you can see in photo; they can't even finely chop scallions....after i asked for LESS. -1star! i ordered Calbrese wings which took an extra 3 minutes to get after being served drinks and pizza slices--these were sooo darn good!!! if you're looking for spicy wings without that vinegary taste--i recommend coming/ordering here! perfect for a spicy lover; i rate it Medium heat! if you're craving pies, pizza slices, wings, fries or brew, i recommend giving this place a try. they even have gelati!!! i will definitely come back to try other items since i noticed they also have rosemary fries! another heads up, they charge an 18% service fee without notifying you and i'm not sure what it's based off by/of. but i find it ridiculous if you're a single person dining in for some lunch being charged 18% service fee for what? tips should be entirely optional.

Yelp
My husband and I sat at the bar on 2/17. We had the worst bartender experience. Terrible attitude and service. In addition after my husband gave her our credit card she didn't bring a receipt or anything to sign. She just said "you're good" when we asked. I pushed my husband to ask for a receipt because he hadn't left a tip. Then I remembered the "service charge" San Jose charges. Our experience is exactly why I won't eat in a restaurant who decides to charge the service charge. My husband is a good tipper so typically leaves 25%. You are encouraging poor service by applying a standard charge. We were two people sitting at the bar. How hard is it to provide good service. We were one of 5 people. She should have provided a receipt. We shouldn't have had to ask. Regardless of the standard service charge. I know it supposed to say right on the menu there is a service charge. I really don't think people are looking at that. We eat out a lot and I have never seen this on a menu. The server should remind the guests when they provide a bill. Only in this case the lazy bartender didn't do that. My belief is she wants people to forget so she'll be double tipped. In her case she doesn't deserve anything!

Yelp
I would really give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but it could easily get 4. It is a little pricey, but I thought the food and beers were solid. I ordered the godfather sandwich. It was a little oily but very tasty. It came with these amazing little cherry peppers that explode flavor into your mouth. I also enjoyed the bread. I ordered the # 4 beer something from 21st amendment. It was great. My issue with this restaurant is I can't figure out if it is one thing or three different restaurants like San Pedro market. We posted up in the wine room and ordered sandwiches at the counter. But then we had to go to the first room you walk into to get the beers. Not bad, but odd... also they do jack you with an 18% service charge and then ask for a tip on top of that. Look if the workers don't get the service charge then put it in the menu price. If the workers do get the service charge, then don't make me tip. That makes more sense to me...
