London’s Best Restaurant and Food Pop Ups and Residencies for 2023 | Eater London

"Charlene Liu and Liu Qian specialise in bowls of xiǎomiàn in broths heavy with Sichuan peppercorn, garlic, soy, sesame paste, ginger, and a signature chilli oil. Minced pork, yellow peas, and water spinach are typical toppings, with the dish traditionally eaten for breakfast in Chongqing; glass noodles made from sweet potato starch are also available for a slippy, chewier textural alternative." - James Hansen

We came for lunch and enjoyed the food here. Between the two of us, we got the spicy pork wontons (nice), spicy beef chongqing Xiaomian (good flavour and broth), minced pork hot and sour glass noodle (liked the noodles specifically). I also liked that you could customise your spice level. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Absolutely loved this noodle spot in Kingly Court! They have a simple menu full of delicious options and were very accommodating for my friend with allergies. We each had the pork, pork and chickpea, and the cold summer special noodles and were all to die for! The mild is definitely hot enough for the average person and they have chili oil tableside if needed. The staff are friendly and prompt. I’d highly recommend taking a break from your shopping trip here!

This was my second time eating here. I like the food and the atmosphere. Service is great too, very kind and attentive staff. It can be super busy on the weekends during peak meal times so tip is to go on like a Sunday at 4pm or something to enjoy your meal alone or with friends. I enjoyed it much more because I ordered mild-spicy this time - it really does add some extra flavour so don’t be afraid of the spice!!

Tucked inside a multi storey building, on an upper level, if you are craving for some food to bring your taste buds to life, Liu Xiaomian is a good bet. They have clearly marked Vegetarian and vegan dishes. I had the wholewheat noodles with soy beans and extra morning glory. The heat from the Sichuan peppers was a welcome slap to my taste buds. The noodles were cooked to perfection with a lovely bite to them. Loved this! Good food, good service, reasonably priced, sign me up!

🍜 Spicy Pork Trotter Noodles (New on the Menu!) Once a hidden gem, now finally taking center stage! The pork trotters are braised until tender and flavorful—so soft they jiggle with a poke and fall off the bone with a bite. Packed with collagen goodness! 🍲 Pea & Minced Pork Noodles (A Classic Returns) The signature dish of Liu Xiaomian—creamy peas paired with rich minced pork sauce. Every bite feels like these noodles have soul! Add chili for an extra kick. You’ll want to quietly nod in satisfaction for a full three minutes afterward.

It was a perfect experience. The environment was great and sitting by the window was very comfortable. All the noodles were delicious. I especially liked the pig's trotter noodles and the wontons. Eating cold noodles in summer is also very refreshing.

sweet potato noodles are so perfect!!! i love the gelatinous and juicy (???) texture .. i heard that the extra hot is just not that hot.. or is at least manageable.. i had the mild and it was great!! would 100% return

Nice food and great value. I’d recommend getting the mild spiciness as it was still quite hot (they have other 2 layers up). We shared a few dishes but my favourites were the cold summer noodles and the ones with minced pork and chickpeas. Service OK-ish as they forgot to ask for dessert and then when they brought it they hadn’t fully cleaned our table. Nothing major of course and still an enjoyable dinner
