Chinese Hot Pot Restaurant Liuyishou Is Opening in Austin | Eater Austin

"I'm looking forward to Liuyishou Hot Pot, which is slated to open sometime in 2024 at 12815 North I-35 in the Tech Ridge neighborhood. The Chinese chain focuses on Chinese-style all-you-can-eat hot pot with soup bases where diners cook meats, seafood, and vegetables, and it also offers non-hot pot dishes like appetizers, skewers, and desserts. The Austin location was designed by Canadian creative agency Hexagon Studio and, like most hot pot restaurants, features tables with cookers built into the surface. Liuyishou started in 2000 in Chongqing and now has locations worldwide — its North American headquarters is in Vancouver — and this will be its third Texas spot after Houston (March 2022) and Plano (January 2024)." - Nadia Chaudhury

Liuyishou Hot Pot Plano: Authentic & Flavorful Hot Pot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Liuyishou Hot Pot in Plano delivers a truly authentic Chongqing-style hot pot experience. Known for its flavorful, often spicy broths (especially the signature spicy and the comforting tomato bases), it's a fantastic spot for an interactive meal. They offer a wide, fresh selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and handmade items for an all-you-can-eat feast. The extensive DIY sauce bar lets you customize your perfect dip. While it can be a bit pricier than some other hot pot spots, the quality ingredients and genuine flavors make it worth it for a satisfying and engaging dining adventure. It's perfect for groups!

Small space, but food was excellent. Chicken and sukiyaki broths were intense with flavor. Very good. Meats were good, and service was outstanding. The sides were good, but my favorite was the shrimp paste. The sauce bar was a little messy though and would be nice if bathrooms were bigger/multi-person.

My experience at Liuyishou was amazing. Our server Toms was attentive at taking orders and always checking in to clear plates or change the pot heat or top up the soup base. He was the best part of the experience, as other AYCE places I often find service slower and harder to call for a server. Meat quality was fresh, and there is a vast array of free toppings, meats, and seafood if you aren't interesting in paying for premium charged items. I paid for $27.99 + $2 (Friday and Weekend times) for 1 adult, with additional charge of $13.99 for 2 choices of soup base (this is shared by the table, not a per person cost add-on). For single soup base, it ranges from 9.99 - 14.99 I believe.

There are so many hot pot restaurants in Dallas, but there are only a few authentic Sichuan hot pot restaurants that are really delicious, have friendly service and are worthy of thumbs up! Today, my husband and I finally came to Liu Yishou Hot Pot Restaurant, which has been open for more than a year and is always crowded with people. June in Dallas is already hot. In just 40 seconds from getting off the car and walking into the restaurant, we were already dizzy from the heat, but as soon as we entered Liu Yishou Hot Pot Restaurant, the comfortable air conditioning instantly removed the heat. We also knew instantly that this would be a very comfortable summer hot pot dinner! After we were seated, the friendly waiter Mason came to help us order. Since this restaurant has too many items, for us who can eat everything and want to eat everything, and have choice disorders, ordering is always the most difficult part. But the professional and patient Mason quickly helped us confirm the food we wanted to eat. Thank you, Mason. This Liu Yishou is an AYCE hot pot restaurant, charging only $28 per person. With a variety of items and quality food, this price is definitely worth it! Not only is the food served quickly, the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the soup base is absolutely amazing because it is not only having the authentic Sichuan hot pot flavor, but also the soup is not greasy, and the fragrance is rich. I can guarantee that this is the most delicious hot pot soup that my husband and I have had in Dallas! This night we completely change the stereotype of impression that eating hot pot will make our clothes smell of greasy hot pot. Oh, by the way, my favorite dish here is the thin slices of beef tongue. You only need to blanch it for 10 seconds and put it straight into your mouth. It is recommended not to dip it in sauce. It is guaranteed to be heavenly in a second. I can't wait to plan to dine here next time. Such a high-level hot pot restaurant. I highly recommend everyone to come! 😁

It’s not the cheapest hot pot around, but for the quality and variety offered, it’s good value especially if you go with a group and share dishes. . The staff is generally attentive and helpful, especially if you're new to hot pot and need guidance. Depending on the location and time of day, service can be a bit slow during peak hours, but the quality remains consistent.

I’m not usually a hotpot fan, but this place was surprisingly good! We got seated right away, and the staff were super friendly. And the food came out super fast, which was a plus. The only downside is that it’s really loud, so if you’re looking for a cozy atmosphere, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you’re just looking for a great meal and some fun with your friends, I highly recommend it!

First time trying Liuyishou hotpot and I would definitely come back. The service is very fast and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. They have a sauce bar that me and my husband really enjoyed. Tyler was our server and he was great!
