18 Bars for Singing Karaoke Around D.C.

"The Wharf’s next-level karaoke bar debuted in December with 11 tricked-out entertainment rooms to rent out. The 6,000-square-foot, maze-like marbled venue lets crooners order food and drinks right from their room via touch pad or saddle up to its onyx bar up front, where karaoke occurs too. Liquid courage comes in the form of big cans of ice-cold Sapporo and large-format draft cocktails, with Japanese street snacks like takoyaki, gyoza, spicy honey barbecue wings, grilled meat skewers, beef donburi, noodle soups, and truffle fries. Rooms fit 10 to 40 and start at $68 per hour (no minimum spend)." - Tierney Plumb, Adele Chapin

Ashley is the best server in the DC area. She made sure we were on point with drinks, food and our karaoke room! The food is so good and the drinks get u there! The karaoke selection is top notch! Can't wait to come back with me other sisters! Definitely worth the time and money! A time was definitely had!

Live K Karaoke Spot Review This place was lit! We had a private room, and it was absolutely amazing — perfect for a fun night out. The room setup was on point, with cool lighting and touch-screen options for service, emojis, and more. That added such a nice interactive touch! The food was snack-sized and tasted okay, but it was definitely overpriced for the portions. Still, the overall experience made up for it. If you’re looking for a lively karaoke spot with a great vibe and cool tech features, Live K is worth checking out!

Google
We had an amazing time at this karaoke bar! it’s a lively spot with lots of singing, dancing, and great vibes. the food is on the pricier side but still good—we had wings and skewers, and everything came out quickly. The only drawback is that while most songs are easy to find on youtube, you have to type "lyrics" before the song name to get the version with lyrics. Overall, we had a blast! the private rooms let you control the a/c, lighting, and call an attendant. be sure to arrive on time. The live room was also fun and energetic, packed with people enjoying themselves. We’ll definitely be back! they do check id at the entrance.

Sushan provided excellent service to our large group of 12! We reserved a room and our call bell was always quickly answered! Such a great time. We will return!

Had the best experience with Sushan!! My first time here with my sister and we will be back!!! Ps. I never write reviews but I had to for my boi!!!

This is not my first time here, but it is my first time being a hostess. It was my man’s birthday and he was surprised, and the venue was amazing. It was clean. They were courteous and very accommodating. I would definitely suggest if you had an event to rent a private space and you will be catered to.

Sushay is hands down one of the best managers I’ve encountered at a karaoke spot! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Super attentive, friendly, and patient—even when we got a little too into our performances 😅. He made sure everything ran smoothly, the mics were working, the drinks kept coming, and the vibes stayed immaculate. Honestly, he’s the reason we’ll be coming back. A total gem!

Google
This place is amazing! It’s very clean and modern looking both in the rooms at the bar. The service was fast and helpful. The drinks were delicious. The sound system and microphone were very good and clear. Definitely worth the money and I will definitely be back again!

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and the service and atmosphere are always great. It's clean and the staff are friendly. If you go to the bar make sure to request Sea, she's always attentive and makes excellent drinks, truly great.

Yelp
This place is very fun and worth the money. I really liked how big the room size was (My 7 friends had plenty of space in the 10 people room). I also really liked how quick room service is and you pay as you go so everyone can have a separate check. I also like that the karaoke staff is very friendly and I was able to bring in cupcakes and birthday decorations. We were able to find like 95% of the songs we wanted with lyrics. I'm giving 4 stars because I didn't like that the security staff was unnecessarily rude. Their cussing was completely unnecessary, they were rough with my bag and rushing my group of friends. I understand it's cold but it really did not require all the attitude and rough handling. I also didn't like that we didn't get to our room until 10 minutes late. We got the time back in the end but the policy seemed very strict about time and arriving 30 minutes early. We just stood around in the lobby which was annoying. Limited food choices, I need a basic option like French fries lol I would definitely come back though. The inconveniences did not stop our fun.

Yelp
Nestled in the vibrant District Wharf, this futuristic-themed karaoke bar is a visual feast for the senses. The sleek interior, adorned with LED walls that pulse to the beat of the music, creates an immersive and energetic atmosphere. The venue is always bustling with a lively crowd, adding to the high-energy vibe that defines this unique karaoke experience. The food selection draws inspiration from KTVs in China and Taiwan, offering a fusion of flavors to complement the karaoke festivities. While the menu is diverse, featuring snacks and shareable plates, the execution falls short of expectations. The dishes lack the finesse and authenticity one might hope for, leaving room for improvement in terms of taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the excitement generated by the futuristic ambiance is dampened by the subpar and pricey drink offerings. While the bar menu showcases a variety of options, the quality of the drinks does not align with their cost. This aspect of the experience leaves a noticeable dent in an otherwise enjoyable night. The service at this karaoke bar is decent, with staff members doing their best to accommodate the consistently packed venue. However, the high-energy environment sometimes makes it challenging to communicate with the staff. It's not uncommon to find yourself straining to hear over the booming sound system, affecting the overall service experience. One of the highlights of this karaoke bar is its incredibly diverse music selection. From classic hits to the latest chart-toppers, there's something for everyone. The expansive catalog ensures that every member of your group will find a song to showcase their vocal talents, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. While the music selection is stellar, the sound system leaves much to be desired. In a venue centered around karaoke, a top-notch audio setup is crucial, and unfortunately, this is an area that requires attention. Updating the sound system would undoubtedly elevate the overall karaoke experience. In conclusion, this futuristic-themed karaoke bar at District Wharf offers a visually stunning and high-energy environment perfect for a night of singing and socializing. However, improvements are needed in the areas of food quality, drink pricing, and, most notably, the outdated sound system. If you can overlook these shortcomings, you're in for an entertaining night of diverse musical selections and lively ambiance.

Yelp
As of tonight, this is no longer my go to. The drink prices have doubled the bar tender are nowhere near as friendly as I remember in the past. My friend got a quarter of a shot for the price of a full shot. When I asked Bruno, behind the bar about it he responded "why you asking me" they just rude slow and the drinks are weak. I'm good on this spot....just like all the good spots the get command go down hill.

Yelp
We got a room here for a large group. The servers were very responsive and quick. The sound was very loud. The room was cool but perfect for when the group got more active. Drinks are priceyyyyyy but this is a good place for a small event. Wonderful time!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Karaoke club with private rooms. I booked a private room for 2hours, 1 day in advance via online. No issues booking at all. After the time was up in our private room we were able to go to the main room and enjoy karaoke there as well. We were staying at The Wharf so we were able to walk over from our hotel. There is no cover charge and no age limit. However there is a bouncer after hours at the door checking everyone for security reasons. Private room is located behind the main room. You walk back through a neon lit hallway, straight to your private room. Food Once we got to the private room we ordered tons of appetizers. We had wings, fries, eggrolls, mozzarella sticks, and chips and dip. Everything was delicious but nothing extremely spectacular. Service The service was great in the private room. Food came out extremely fast. We had so much fun that I asked to extend the private room, he so no, that the next block was already booked. Afterwards we went to the main room and had a ball. Ambiance Fairly younger college crowd. The decor was hip with a party like vibe with lots of neon lights and tv screens. Main room was full of people and a bar as well. This is where you put your name on the list to sing and wait for your song choice to scroll on the tv.

Yelp
I recently had an awful experience at K Live Karaoke Bar. As someone with celiac disease, I specifically asked if the wings were not breaded and was assured they were gluten-free. When they arrived, they were clearly breaded. To make matters worse, I was inexplicably charged an extra $15 on my bill. I ended up paying over $50 and could only eat edamame. The staff was unhelpful and dismissive when I brought up the issue, showing a complete lack of concern for my dietary restrictions and customer satisfaction. This kind of misinformation and poor service is unacceptable and dangerous. I demand a refund for this distressing and unsatisfactory experience. I won't be returning and strongly advise others, especially those with dietary restrictions, to avoid this place.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here and omg. Never expected this. Music was loud. (In a good way), the lights, setting made you really feel like you had your own private club!! So much fun! Everyone was so involved because the atmosphere really makes the difference. Controlling the music & lights we had a ball & didn't want to leave. We did not eat but definitely enjoyed the cocktails & shots. All made well. Staff & service was also very friendly & fun.

Yelp
Super duper fun! Back in early August, my friends and I visited Live K Karaoke as part of a bachelorette weekend celebration. We found Live K from on a simple Google search and then a review of their Instagram page. One of the ladies in our group made the reservation online about a month in advance. I'm not sure if that much time is required but it's what we did. On the evening of our reservation, we went thru security then found the customer service desk and checked in. Within minutes, we were escorted to a personal room. Live K is very lively and modern. You have the flexibility to book a private room or enjoy the main area. The main room features a full bar, lots of LED lights, and a great mix of music. There is a huge screen on one side of the room where folks can make a request for songs and then sing in front of the crowd. It was quite packed by the way. Don't expect to sit down if you don't find a seat at the bar. The crowd was a vibe though! Everyone enjoying themselves and singing along with whatever song played. The age range seems to be between 21 to 55 years old, all enjoying themselves in harmony. Upon entering our room, our server introduced himself, provided menus, and gave us an orientation on how to navigate the karaoke system. Our reservation covered a small room for 2 hours. We had room K13. It was about 8 of us and we were able to sit comfortably. The room has a comfy plush couch and dining table. There were some outlets around, so were could charge up our phone or other electronics. It was a hot evening but it seemed cool in the room and there was a fan available. There is a large flat screen TV at the front of the room. The setup allows you to read the words from that screen as a group or individually. There is also a medium sized TV above the couch, you can read the words from there while you stand in front our your party, which makes it feel like a real performance. In regards to the karaoke system, they have placed it in corner space of the room, almost like a station because everything you need is there including multiple cordless mics, a computer to make selections, and a fun wheel game (we did not use it). There seems to be an actual karaoke program to choose songs from or you can go onto Youtube. The youtube option was great and more familiar, but the system was wonky. We would cue a selection but when it was time to play, the system would skip it over. At times we had to add the song twice. Once for it to skip over and then play the second cue. Not sure why that happened but we made it work. Over the 2 hours we sang numerous songs, ordered a host of drinks and food and just enjoyed our time. It felt like a personalized party room. The sound system was great and the light effects enhanced the experience. On top of that, we had free range to be as loud and fun as we wanted to be. In terms of the food, I only had truffle french fries and a soft drink, both were good and reminiscent of elevated bar food. The overall menu itself seemed to be a fusion of American and Asian cuisine. They offer snacks as well as small portions and entree servings along with bar drinks and cocktails. Our server was kind and attentive. He always checked in and provided our requests within a timely manner. Once the time was up, he gave us the option to extend or leave the room. We decided to see what the main room was about. As mentioned earlier, the main room features a full bar and a space to perform. It was rather crowded, so it felt more like a party in a bar. People would order a song then go up and sing. Most of the selections were Rap/Hip-Hop and R&B. Everyone would chime in and sing the song like drunk cousins lol. Sounds crazy but it was fun. Please note, there might be a long cue before they get to your song, so hang tight and drink up. Eventually we decided to leave as we were tired, so one of my friends missed her opportunity to sing because the cue was long. Above all, we had a great time. Live K Karaoke gave us the experience we had hope for and the bride enjoyed herself immensely. I'd definitely return and I highly recommend to others.

Yelp
The 2 stars are for the ambience and quick service, otherwise not worth it!! Way too expensive, in terms of both room fees and cost of food and drinks. A normal 375ml bottle of soju was $36!! A bottle I can probably get for $7 at a grocery or $15 at any other karaoke bar. Food was also little expensive but not as crazy as the drinks. 30% additional fee is included with every bill. The interface to choose the songs was also not ideal, took forever to search and even some of the most popular songs weren't available. Personally, if you want to enjoy good karaoke and are not limited to the wharf location, go to another cheaper place.

Yelp
Visited Live K with family over the holiday weekend. We booked a medium sized room. When we arrived, they were checking in a party and the process of waiting for them + my check in took about ~7-10 minutes. Be aware that they hold both an ID and credit card at the host stand throughout your reservation. The rooms are clean and our room made for comfortable seating of our party of 8. The sound in our room was faulty so they had to reset the devices in the room which took ~5 minutes. Even after the reset, it was difficult to hear the microphones. While the experience was fun, there is an extremely limited selection of songs and a number of YouTube songs are blocked from playing. As we hit 2 hours from the reservation time, we were informed our time ended. Overall, I had fun because I enjoy karaoke but given the cost and associated experience, I'd reconsider visiting live k

Rumit P.

Yelp
First time here and it was a lot of fun. There's a bouncer at the door but at 5:30pm, he didn't check our IDs. The interior was LOUD, but it's a music venue so it's expected. We had a small room that accommodates 10 people (we were 7 adults, and 10 seems like it would be a bit tight). We were shown how to use the machine and told when our time would be up. They don't waste time with cleanup and removing dishes and asking you to promptly leave at your end time. There are no clocks inside so gauge your own time. The karaoke machine was easy to use and select songs. There were two microphones. The music videos were a blend of authentic and stock videos or spliced content from the artist. The tables had menus for food and beverages. The service was very good, consistent, punctual, and helpful. Food came out quickly, served hot and fresh, and was a decent portion. I recommend both the vegetarian spring rolls and the scallion pancake. It's fun for doing once in a while, but it is quite pricey overall.

Yelp
New karaoke place on the Wharf. If you are looking for a fancier version than the other places in DC and don't mind spending more money, then go here. When you walk in there is a bouncer checking IDs and they patted the guys down in our group. There is karaoke in the common area and a bar. This area is loud with people singing and dancing. It's fun to stay here but a bit cramped if busy. Drinks are expensive, 2 high noons cost $26. We had a private room reservation for 9pm and got there early and checked in. They told our group to wait. At 9pm, we checked again and they told us to wait. We got into the room at 9:10pm. Then when our 2 hours was up, they told us that we were the ones who were late..They kept coming in trying to rush us our, which I see happened to other reviewers as well.

Yelp
Went here for a private birthday party and would absolutely recommend this place. Very clean and the staff was helpful for our very large party. The chicken wings were ok but the drinks were good. I had a green tea and it was one of the best green tea's I've had. There is street parking but it's limited so park in the garage. Your party will no doubt have a ball!
google avatar

Catherine N.

Yelp
When I tell you, WE had the time of our lives?! Well we did! My son was newly engaged and we had the chance to party! We had chicken wings and the service was amazing! We snag ALL NIGHT LONG! Great time! Now...the service is timed, the service is pretty quick and the downside is, the instructions aren't very clear but we got it after about 30 mins in. I would suggest if you're servicing all languages, place the instructions in English unless it is otherwise labeled as a different type of establishment
google avatar

Chavonte H.

Yelp
If you like Karaoke, this is the spot for you! After getting over the lack of street parking and expensive parking garages, you will truly enjoy your time. We didn't get a room, so my review is based on the main bar area. First of all, the song selections are great and we ended up dancing and having a good time. There are 2 mics and the lyrics are usually provided for you. Other than the cool atmosphere and karaoke part, I don't have anything else to rave about. The restrooms were messy and full of tissue on the ground. The service was mediocre as they know they will get and automatic tip no matter what you order. Finally, there was also no seating in the main area and I ended up sitting against a window almost on the floor. While I would recommend this place for a good time, just weigh the importance of parking, service, and security for your experience.

Yelp
It's crazy to say l've never done karaoke anywhere besides a party, so I was excited to check this place out. It is in a great location being at the Wharf. There's a great selection of music and what you're not able to find in their system can be found on YouTube, which is perfect. The rooms are nice, clean, and vibey. Something about the energy of the whole place and hearing other rooms sometimes makes the energy more exciting. We only booked for an hour and that hour went fast, so we didn't try any food or drinks. We were going to extend to stay for another hour but there was miscommunication between the staff and our group and how much each hour would be including fees. Personally, I think only one service fee should be charged, not each time you decide to extend, but every business has their own rules. I'd still come back. It gets really lit there at night. Even on Sunday night. In case anyone is wondering, children are allowed, however they can only be in private rooms you book, not at the bar area.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME! Went to the soft opening last night and cannot say enough positive things about the new addition to The Wharf scene. Just a few highlights: - Excellent Staff. From the gifted bartenders (all great- special shout-out to Johannes, who made me the best drink of my life!) to the attentive wait staff to the customer-oriented management... all simply top-notch. - Incredible Entertainment. Wavy Tim (@wavytim) sooooo lit on the mic... DJ Chef Jaker (@djchefjaker) working the crowd all night... diverse, hyped crowd... many people singing and everyone dancing/joining in... just an amazing vibe that lasted all night. Best time- you'll catch some of the vibe in my pics/videos. :) - Amazing Atmosphere. Constant light show, great decor, good sound equipment... perfection. - Very Safe. Professional security that was made sure everyone was comfortable. There were a few small issues (an overly intoxicated person and someone harassing women) and they were resolved quickly and calmly. Really appreciated how he deescalated the situation. This is a good spot for women to come and feel safe. - Great Drinks/Food. Tried several different drinks and loved all of them. The food I sampled was fresh and wonderfully light. Very enjoyable. Thanks for a great night, LIVE-K... we will be back many times. Welcome to The Wharf... we are glad you have joined the community! :)

Yelp
I just celebrated my 40th birthday at Live-K in their party room and we had a phenomenal time. Big props to the staff there for their incredible service all evening. Def recommend for a birthday or any gathering!

Yelp
For any place that is a part of the wharf expect it to be expensive. For starters know that there a very small chance that you will be able to park anywhere that is not in an expensive garage. Once inside the drinks will be expensive too. It seemed as though the average price was $20 per drink. We spent a few minutes in the main area waiting for our room to be ready. Maybe I spend too much time in a quiet office, but it was insanely loud. You could not talk to someone standing right in front of you. It also seemed just too small to be the only place in Live K Karaoke other than the private rooms. Especially because we were only there because we were waiting. We made a reservation for 2 hours, they came in around the 30-minute mark of when our reservation would be up to ask if we wanted more time. We said, "sure, how much" they quoted us at $128 an hour. So we decided to wrap up. According to the online prices that was for a 20 person room but we were in a 10 person room... I had a great time singing karaoke, but I do not think it is necessary to come to this specific location in order to get this experience. There are other karaoke places around all with cheaper prices.

Yelp
My friends came into town for my retirement and we wanted to go to a place we all could hang out so we chose this spot. We had a blast. You can reserve a room, you have your own server that attends to the needs of the party of drinks, food, etc. We had a party of seven. The vibes were real nice. The lights were dimmed the and the screens were lit. The room had a real club atmosphere. There are mics and a touch screen to select song preferences. The food was finger foods, however, delicious and great for the setting. The drinks flowed abundantly. Definitely would check this place out, especially, if your friends and family live karaoke.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Great karaoke experience! The diverse song selection and lively atmosphere made for a memorable night. Friendly staff and good drinks, but room for improvement in sound system clarity.

Yelp
Sing until your heart is content. That was the theme for the night. And we did just that. We understood the assignment. The service and drinks were good. Everyone has a great time. Rather you were on or off keys lol....

Yelp
We went to this karaoke bar after leaving the Anthem. All of the karaoke rooms were reserved. The bar area also has karaoke, but ultimately was too packed for us.
google avatar

Fabiola S.

Yelp
This karaoke spot is located right on Maine Ave. There are multiple bouncers to go through. I believe your bag can be as big as a wallet. We got a room for 2 hours. It was about 15 of us and it felt tight but we made the best of it. There should be like 9 people max in those rooms. This place is OVERPRICED - we ordered 2 drinks and they automatically add tax, service charge, and tip. Two drinks was $52.07 - no thank you. Our waiters were quick and responsive. Yeah, I am not sure if I would recommend this place. It is a vibe but overpriced and tight.
google avatar

Rachelle S.

Yelp
My friend wanted to try this new karaoke spot for her birthday, so we decided to venture to the Wharf. To come in, you have to get past a bouncer. As soon as you walk in the bar/check in area is poppin! They have open karaoke where patrons can join in just for for fun or while waiting for their reservation (not sure if there is a bar minimum to use the open karaoke - I know it sounds crazy but other karaoke spots have a bar minimum for that). All black with neon accent lights, you'd think you were walking into a music video. The staff is nice and the food was better than I expected. I tried the truffle fries and fried shrimp. This karaoke spot is a bit pricey. We ended up paying ~$400 for 3hrs because of some hidden fees that weren't made clear before booking.

Yelp
Live-K Karaoke Bar in Washington DC offers private karaoke rooms that are comfortable and private, which is great for groups looking to have a good time. The chicken wings were a highlight of the experience, with the flavor being very tasty. The servers were also quick in taking orders for drinks, which was appreciated. The drink choices were also affordable, which is always a plus. However, the song choice was not good, particularly for fans of Old School RnB, as they were missing many popular songs from that genre. While customers were able to look up songs on YouTube, the lyrics were not shown, which can make it difficult to sing along. On the other hand, the location design is very nice, with a modern and inviting dark aesthetic. Overall, if you're looking for a private karaoke experience with good wings and affordable drinks, Live-K Karaoke Bar could be a good choice. However, if you're a fan of Old School RnB, you might want to check if they've updated their song selection before going.

Yelp
I was really disappointed in this place. The staff members are extremely rude for no reason. The bartenders act like they don't see you and take absolutely forever to make drinks. They also charge you whatever they feel like charging you for drinks, plus an automatic gratuity. I got the same drink from 3 different bartenders, and they each charged me a different price. There's also a security guard monitoring the karaoke playlist who is a jerk and extremely aggressive. As soon as I walked up to enter a song, he yelled at me and said, "If you move your song up to the top, I'm deleting it." I had literally just walked up and didn't know what he was talking about. He then proceeded to get in my face and told me to leave. I just walked away and found my friends, but I could see him staring at me. WTF. The karaoke part in the main room is awful. The songs didn't even display lyrics. How the heck do you sing karaoke without lyrics? The sound also kept going in and out. To make matters worse, the aggressive bouncer dude monitoring the playlist kept skipping over songs he didn't want to hear. I've never experienced anything like this at a karaoke spot before.

Yelp
Six of my girlfriends booked a private room. The space was nicely designed. Make sure you arrive early there is no parking a the Warf. Even the garage has crazy traffic. The sessions are time to the T so any waste of time is you not singing or eating. The food was surprisingly good. The host was horrible accommodating or group. Once in the room the wait staff was quick. Would go again.

Yelp
Live K is a fairly new karaoke bar located at the Wharf. I was thrilled when I first saw they were opening and planned a friends birthday party there in January. Booking was easy enough and there were options to select which size room you were looking for and the date. A deposit was required but everything was fully explained on the website and Tock to make booking simple. My first issue with Live K was that it was CHAOTIC when we arrived. Apparently our room was not ready yet and they kept saying "5 more minutes" for almost 40 minutes past our reservation time. Unfortunately the standing room was limited up front so there were crowds of people standing around and wait staff zipping by. Again, chaotic. When we finally got to our room it was really nice!! They had just finished cleaning so it presented well and we had the perfect amount of space for our party. They showed us how to work the entertainment system to search for songs and then took our drink orders. The system was okay, but it wasn't the most user friendly. We struggled for a while, even with instruction, to get the songs we were looking for to pull up. However, we eventually got it together!! The experience itself was great! Lots of singing and dancing and fun had by all. Our room came with 2 microphones (one stopped working halfway through the first hour), but everyone was able to sing an enjoy with or without the mic. Service was pretty good and my simply touching a button someone would come by and provide any assistance that we needed. The bill was a little confusing at the end because we were under the impression the deposit went towards the food and drink but that wasn't the case. There was also the issue of trying to get us out of our room at the end of the reservation time, despite not being in our room the first 40 minutes. I totally understand the domino effect but hey, everyone wants what they paid for. They have a LOT of kinks to work out and hopefully they do eventually. The concept and location is great but it just could use some improvement.

Yelp
Karaoke at The Wharf, DC @livekkaraoke has a great selection of food and music to choose from! Bring your friends and have a great time! Rooms are available to rent or the lobby can be your stage!

Yelp
Went here for my cousin's birthday. My initial reaction was the ambiance was on point; it was a vibe if aesthetics is your thing. We had a private room for a party of 10. We ordered food and drinks. The wings weren't bad; they were fried hard but could have used some seasoning. The grilled shrimp was bland and had a fishy taste. The drinks were watered down and not worth the price. We ordered 4 drinks each and left without a buzz. As for the service, the food and drinks came out rather quickly, however, one minute before the end of our "time", the server came in rather rude while we were still singing; they cut the music off and did not offer a smooth transition to end our reservation. While we stayed and did karaoke in the lobby/lounge area, we opted to not spend any additional money in such a place. I wouldn't recommend do the private room because once they've gotten your money from you, they pretty much kick you out. Note: The "service" charge/gratuity is included in your bill.

Yelp
We came here for their grand opening. Such a beautiful spot for karaoke, bar and chill. We had a blast! Plenty of fun and reasonable price for karaoke room. perfect vibe, great night out! 1st night was packed with people at the front and a full room back. Feel like still missing out, would definitely come back to try more of their cocktails and snackssss I think they also offer DJ nights on the weekend. Highly recommend for a fun night out!

Yelp
The karaoke room was great! I didn't like that they requested to keep my ID and credit card. Also that they came in the room in the midst of my last song turned the light on and said that we needed to stop. I felt like they could have been courteous and let me finish up the song and then we would have immediately left. It was my birthday celebration. Also I didn't technically get my full 2 hours, my time was to begin at 6:00PM and it was 6:05 by the time someone came to escort me to my room. They it took the person about 5-8 minutes to show me how to work the system. So technically I'm owed some time. The prices are a little steep. I put a deposit of $70+ and was charged an additional $111 for the remaining balance when I got there. This was for the small room. Room pricing is listed at $68 per hour (plus 20% DC tax) with a 2 hour minimum. I enjoyed myself but they need to work on their customer service. It's not the greatest.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my uncle's birthday this past weekend. The pros: great vibes! The bar was jumpin with karaoke, and the private room was big, clean, and the mics sounded great. Very clear. Cons: THE FOOD GOT US SICK! And I mean sick sick. Sick in bed all day, tossing and turning all night sick. We had the wings, which were completely unseasoned, the truffle fries (pretty good), and the beef gyoza (pretty good). We aren't sure what did us in, but I will never eat here again! Also, they didn't have any of the Black classics. We had to use YouTube to find Goin Down by Mary J Blige...just to name one. Go here for drinks and karaoke. But eat before you go!!

Yelp
Food was 9/10 service was 8/10. Great musical selection, a little confusing when selecting the karaoke song. But overall experience was great. Ambiance was nice. We started out in small room, but after having so much fun we moved to larger space due to smaller room being booked. Wish we would have started in bigger room

Yelp
I had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday here. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great. The wings were also tasty. We had a great time.

Yelp
The best part of this place is the ambiance. It's a great spot for a photo opp, however the staff are extremely rude. You would think that would be more accommodating since you are paying for a service. The song options or lack there of were disappointing. Even the YouTube widget didn't have the songs we were requesting. The system wouldn't show the correct words for some of the songs. I felt like we took more time trying to Que up the songs than we did singing! The food was below average, I am more than positive it's some restaurant depo bull that they tried and failed to jazz up. I was taken aback when we were asked to close out our tab each time we ordered. I have never experienced such lack of quality service and food for the price. We paid over $300 for 2 hours 3 drinks and 3 food items.

Yelp
The service is terrible. On a quiet night, the bouncer was rude and looking for excuses to not let people in, and the bar was very disorganized which meant wasting the rental time for the private karaoke room while waiting for drinks. They keep a driver's license and credit card while a room is rented. In my case, they appeared to have lost them until they eventually realized that someone was carrying them around in their pocket. The room was fun but the syncing of music and lyrics on quite a few of the videos was off.

Yelp
Spacious location with good priced food and drink options. The vibe was cool and decor was modern. Song list and equipment worked well and easy to use. Recommend for a fun night out!!

Yelp
I love this place! Usually I come for happy hour, and the drinks are decent! There's free karaoke in the main area but you have to share. The bartenders are very caring and friendly! They know how to make a good drink. I had Sushan as my bartender and he was so attentive and accommodating! He knew exactly what I wanted and was able to make it on the spot! If your are looking for a spot to be able to control the aux and sing along, please visit!

Yelp
Huge hidden fees and aggressive sketchy staff made us feel unsafe. We pre-paid but there were lots of hidden fees when we arrived that weren't clear on the website. We agreed to pay the extra charge and the guy at the front desk agreed to let us have back the time we lost (~30 min). Him and my friend shook on it, we said thank you, and we paid. Miraculously, our extra time "wasn't in the system" and the manager (mid-aged Asian gent) aggressively storms into our room and tells us to leave (without even speaking with us). We tried to deescalate and calmly explain that we already spoke with "the Black guy with short hair at the front desk". The manager started escalating screaming "what black guy" and I told him "the *only* guy at the front desk". The manager asks two of us to follow him to the front to show him who we spoke with and we oblige thinking we could work it out. Turns out, he didn't care what happened as when we step out he has an ARMED POLICE OFFICER waiting at the door. The manager whispers something and turns out he ordered the the police to kick out the rest of our friends once we walked away (BEFORE he even spoke with his employee). (For the record, we were NEVER loud, aggressive, or anything) So we find the front desk employee (not realizing our group was being confronted by the cop) and when the crazy manager is GLARING over his shoulder, the whole story changes. He makes up a huge lie that he never agreed to let us stay for 30 min free but that he agreed to CHARGE us for an extra hour??? That made zero sense because that still wasn't in the system and we were still being thrown out 50 minutes before that time woulda passed. Anyways, at this point the staff is being very aggressive so we decide it's not worth it and leave... It was a friends bday so kinda disappointing how bad the service was. Above all that, the drinks were pricey (14 bucks for a beer) with MORE hidden fees, the karaoke machine was glitchy, and the bar staff was unfriendly and slow (took 30 minutes to bring 3 shots). The venue is pretty, but judging from other reviews, you have to be prepared for the worst if you come here.

Yelp
A few friends and I tried this place for karaoke the first time since I heard their grand opening special. Great price for their private room or you can choose to sing at the front. Beautiful interior design, love the style. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great karaoke spot with pricey mixed drinks. I did not rent a room, so this review is only on the main bar area. I arrived early on Friday night (7pm). The interior design is esthetically exciting, sleek and modern. Black walls with neon lights along with the big screen tv and club lighting & lasers. All the staff members I interacted with (bartenders, room receptionist, security) were friendly and helpful. Music selection device was easy to use once I learned how to use it. Most western songs are karaoke videos pulled from YouTube, which is fine to me. The sound system/microphones worked and sounded great. A basic rum & coke was $16 with tax, that's a pretty steep price in my opinion. My friend had a beer which cost him $8. The place started getting busy between 9pm-10pm. I left at 10pm. The crowd was diverse with a mixture of young (20s) to older (50s) patrons. Fun place, I would definitely go again.

Yelp
Live K Karaoke is a really nice, fun, energetic space. It's one of the newest "go to" karaoke places in the DMV area. The rooms are very modern with nice high tech features. I had the pleasure of being in the VIP room. I felt like I was inside a Party Bus. It was a lot of fun. Huge screens around the room, party lights, leather seating and microphones to share with your group. We had a server assigned to our room. That was a lot of fun. We only left the room to place drink orders at the bar. The drinks weren't too great, but that's the only hiccup. The food was good and the perfect selection for alcohol consumption. Overall, we had a really good time. Live K is the perfect spot for any occasion. I will be back.

Yelp
The absolute worst chain karaoke experience. The drinks are expensive. $14 rail cocktail. The main room is tiny. You will be bumping into people left and right. The decibel level is like... airport tarmac. The mix for performers is one size fits all, and awful. The system is missing almost all of the songs you'd hear at your local karaoke dive. The sign up for main room is on one screen shared by the public, so drunk people will accidentally or on purpose remove you from the queue. Literally nothing good about this place. Terrible. Zero stars and may God have mercy on their souls.
