Everything about this place was so sad and created an awful experience. They do not have service during lunch on a weekday for starters. There is one guy at the barista area who is overwhelmed and could not take simple directions. We asked for salt four times for the tasteless salad and hot sauce three times. Also, ordered extra chicken and he forgot to add it after I confirmed after ordering. Every meal was so tasteless and should have gone anywhere else. The management should be ashamed of themselves. Be better.

PROS: Staff was friendly and polite. Ambiance was nice. Food was good. Cons: check in and dining space is a little difficult to identify for a first timer. Also, very difficult to speak to a person affiliated with the restaurant that can make changes to your reservation. The online system only allowed me to reserve for five people, so I had to call the restaurant directly to make a larger reservation. That proved to be very challenging. Super con: food was simply too over-priced and the selection was very, very limited. I had dinner on January 2nd, 2025, and the dinner menu was not available to view online. Some of my party ordered from the wicked Pre-theater menu. The tuna tartar appetizer was delicious. The Caesar salad was definitely a different take on the traditional preparation. The most disappointing feature of our meal was definitely the fried chicken. It was literally no more than a handful of chicken nuggets in a small bowl for $30. And though the sushi roll was quite delicious, $28.00 was just too much. And though the short rib was delicious and beautiful, the cut was very, very fatty.

The Living Room definitely catches your eye once you enter the hotel. It has a chic design and definitely looks like an awesome place to lounge. My wife and I were greeted by a really nice staff and our server was great too. Zero issues with the staff. The issue for me was, the food they offer is not really what I thought it was going to be. Although the Cesar Salad with steak and the Smashburger were good, I definitely expected more choices. It seems like a place you grab a quick bite at more than somewhere you have a meal at.

The staff is nice, the chef came out, and Mia, our server was so sweet and caring. I stay here a lot and would come back because of them. The view is spectacular, but don’t complain about not having sun - it’s shaded.

Google
Nice spot to eat. You can get a quick bite, sit at the bar or dine for a couple of hours with friends and family. Food came out quick. Wait staff is very attentive. Don't over think that statement. This isn't a place where they rush you out. It's not Denny's, but it is California casual. So know that your wait staff coming to pour your wine, refill your water, see if you need a new drink, how's your food...? It's part of being at a nice place to eat. Food was great. Everything tasted as it should.

The service is GREAT. Very nice servers. Beautiful environment. The Food: pretty bad food. I tried two different dishes and they were ..... awkward tasting. We sent a 3rd dish back.

Yelp
Kind of our go to when we go to see a show at the Pantages, the Living Room is located in the W Hotel and it never disappoints. Great location with a wonderful ambiance, our server was happy and witty quick to get us going on a culinary adventure. We all leaned towards the fresh fish and each dish was amazing. Hydrating with delicious cocktails from the bar and so unique. The menu offers a great variety of dishes with so many choices. This is a great place to get a wonderful meal for any occasion when in Hollywood. For us we valet park at the W enjoy great cocktails and cuisine then walk across the street to the Pantages. Don't miss out on the Living Room, it does not disappoint. Bon appetitto

Yelp
It's a beautiful room, and seems more like a bar/lounge than a restaurant. Which makes sense I guess, because it is basically the lobby of the W Hotel. It's a good (but pricey) choice for a light meal & cocktail before a show at the Pantages. Our server, Jeremy was very funny and attentive. It took a bit to get any attention though! We had given ourselves plenty of time, so weren't worried. Definitely recommend giving yourself that extra time if you need to leave for a show! We had a cocktail...martini with blue cheese stuffed olive for my husband and a Damn Good Margarita for myself. My drink was delicious. Very refreshing, and a unique flavor with the addition of the carrot juice. Then we share the beef sliders, fried chicken sliders, and sweet & sour beets. And a side of fries, which were really good. We enjoyed everything. They automatically add an 18% service fee, and we added a bit more tip. They also validate parking, which gives you $5 off the price. ($38!!!) So, for me, not a destination restaurant but definitely convenient.

Yelp
I was there in preparation to see Wicked play at Pantages and had a good time. Seated right away and hostess took our drink order. Minutes later received them then took entrees. I had the burger no cheese with fries well done. It was very good and staff was attentive. Restrooms were clean. Only non alcoholic drinks have free refills. Hope to get back to try other items.

Yelp
Stayed at the W Hotel and wanted to make sure we used the $42 destination fee they charge so it doesn't go to waste. Hence, dining at the Living Room for dinner. We decided to sit outside, which was very cozy and comfortable. The space is surrounded by tall buildings so it didn't feel cold. I'm not sure if there's an indoor dining area other than at their bar. So yeah, I didn't do my homework on that; not very Yelp Elite of me... THE FOOD. - Little Gem Caesar | Added chicken for $8 more. Good portion with lots of flavor (and cheese). You rarely see anchovies as part of a Caesar salad nowadays, but they had it and I loved it. Highly recommend. - Turkey Club Sandwich | Layered meats, cheeses, and vegetables between toasted bread. It was actually pretty good, but it may be due to the mayo slathered in there. We chose shoestring fries; golden crispiness and delicious. THE DRUNK DRINKS. - That Purple Drink | Sweet and floral with subtle citrus notes. Seriously awesome, highly recommend. - The Sour | Yea, it's strong and quite sour. Not my favorite, I know this now. THE PARKING. If you're staying at the hotel, you probably valet parked and paid a pretty penny for it. Other than that, you can go to other parking structures nearby and pay a lower rate. COMING BACK? If we end up staying at this hotel again one day, we would definitely dine here again... because of the $42 destination fee. But the food's great too!

Yelp
Dining at the Living Room for lunch was a mixed experience. While the food was delicious, we were surprised to find it was more of a bar atmosphere than a dedicated restaurant. Parking proved difficult and the valet service was quite expensive. The menu, though limited, offered tasty options. My cousin thoroughly enjoyed their expertly made Brandy Alexander, a classic cocktail of cognac, crème de cacao, and cream. My W Club sandwich and my cousin's beef sliders were both delectable, although I felt they were overpriced. To finish, we shared their only dessert option, a delicious chocolate lava cake. The service, from the bartender to our server, was excellent throughout our meal.

Yelp
Breakfast portion was large and delicious. We got great service from our server and food came out in about 10 minutes; they walked down the spiral Staircase and brought them directly to our table. Ambiance is cozy, relaxing as you are surrounded by art-deco, elegant furniture and lighting. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Food is really good! It was bought out and the food is so delicious and ambience so very beautiful. Especially at night it is cool and classy. Hey they even had a small awards night here! The seating is spacious enough for privacy and yet cozy enough for larger groups. The menu item prices were a bit high but reasonable for the area. Definitely nice vibe here for a sexy night out or just to catch up on roof top. Came here for pre theater dinner and food came out fast with very attentive service. Walking distance to Pantages!

Yelp
For such an iconic place, i expected more. Marriott has been hard at work to remove cost and personality from the property. You can taste it in the food, see it in the overall design Nd experience it with the staff. The formula seems to be to appeal to everyone and the result is a lifeless property that blends in rather than standing out. My Caesar salad was bland and the chicken was chewy. Myself and another patron both noticed that the manager failed stop by over to introduce themselves to ask how we enjoyed the food / drinks--despite the fact that we were the only 2 people at the bar. A great opportunity to be a brand ambassador for the property. Staff was indifferent to the point of being rude and ignorant. In addition, the latest remodel removed an outdoor bar which was a favorite of hotel guests and visitors. But the final gaffe was to change the Drai's space on the roof into an event space versus lounge for guests to take in the amazing views of the capital records building, downtown LA and the Hollywood sign. What a disaster.

Yelp
Insanely overpriced for super average food. Did I say it is insanely overpriced. Needed a quick lunch before a play at the pantages and was throughly disappointed .

Yelp
Had some drinks waiting for a show at the Pantages. Decor is nice but service a little slow and inattentive at first $20 drinks to be expected in Hollywood. Nothing to write home about but a nice place to hang out before the show.

Yelp
Poor customer service! Picky about seating even when there were plenty of seats available! Don't want to jump to conclusions about them being racist (specifically a heavy set guy with ponytail being very rude and catty before manager arrived) but maybe. I was very uncomfortable about the service. It's a beautiful place for service to be so poor. I was made to feel very uncomfortable by host staff! Manager got to work as we were leaving. He seemed to be very understanding but too little too late. Offered nothing. We were a nice-sized pretty conservative group spending lots of money celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. Seats everywhere yet we were told rudely they were reserved for a party that would arrive in an hour. No one ever came to sit in them. Because of this I wouldn't go back.

Yelp
The newly decorated Living Room and patio is very beautiful. However, The lunch menu is horrible. They have about 5 items to choose from the drink specials are subpar, nothing really looks good. I was hoping this would be my get out the office and have a nice lunch spot weekly. On another visit I had the vegan pastrami and it is very good as well as 2 espresso martini drinks. The drinks were delicious but just don't drink too many. I was sleep/awake for two days. I hope they improve the menu with more vegan options not just a sandwich sometimes that's just too much food. But not just the vegan food needs an upgrade, the entire menu needs upgrading. As pricey as the dishes are you'd think there would be more delectable plates.

Zachary J.

Yelp
Another scammy LA place hiding their massive service charge. 17% tip for $20 drinks is ridiculous.

Yelp
We conveniently had before show drinks/apps and dinner after our show at The Pantages right across the street. The hotel is still having construction done, with that said The Living Room looks great and updated for a lounge. While waiting for their restaurant to open, it's not super functional to eat dinner at their small tables and awkwardly paired couches. Besides that, our service and food were excellent! Olive was our server for dinner and she was really nice and helpful. We tried: the shoestring fried zucchini, chai donuts, burger + fries, and crispy salmon. Very yummy! $5 discount on your valet parking once validated.

Yelp
Celebrated a milestone birthday on Saturday, pulled into Valet, advised where I was going and asked how much the fee would be, I was quoted $15, she directed me where to go and I joined my party. The food was good drinks were better. As our party grew to the reserved amount we secured another chair from an empty table but were told another reservation was coming an hour later, yet our party was there and growing out of the area given. After rearranging ourselves we managed to fit everyone and continued with libations and food. The bar area is beautiful, however the outside is gorgeous, the color palette is inviting, warm, enticing and selfie ready at every corner. We concluded our party, received our validation from the beautiful ladies who checked us in and proceeded to valet, upon providing our tickets we were met with the rudest and unprofessional manager trying to charge us double of the quoted price, we explained explicitly what were told by his employees and he would need to take that up with them, refusing to listen and hear anything other than his rehearsed spill, we went back to the hotel to complain and were met with a head of security who was appalled and understood the miscommunication that had occurred, he then proceeds to walk to the valet office and comeback with comp validation stickers. We thanked him and went to retrieve our vehicles, there were a party in front who misplaced their ticket yet the manager would not have them step aside to take ours he was determined to be rude and make us wait, so we asked the couple if would kindly step aside to locate their ticket, they obliged and we handed our tickets. He was visibly mad and delayed our vehicles which resulted in no tips for the drivers. My advice park on the street.

Yelp
The place has gone down hill. The old fashion and glass of red wine I had here was not good or fresh. Food selections should be improved as there is not much else at the W to eat. Overall, will be back just because of the close proximately to the theater but I do hope they fix the drinks at minimum. Also, it would not hurt for the place to redo the living room decor... it is dated at this point.

Yelp
The Service: Full bar. Small bar, about 6 bar stools. But there are more seating area in the lobby (The Station). There is a small TV at the bar. Drinks price are reasonable. Great place to hang out. There are two big community tables that have charging station for your electronic devices. Bonus! The Parking: Valet parking or street metered

Yelp
The Living Room is the indoor and outdoor lounge area at the W Hotel. I met up with a fellow board member here to talk council business as it was the place he suggested. I was down for trying it as I've always wondered about the lounge at the W. We sat outside on the patio and the place had a good crowd and so it was good we came earlier when we did to score a seat. The drinks were on the pricey side though, I believe we paid $15 for each The Summertime cocktail we both had and we had two of them. I also hadn't eaten so I ordered the Cheeseburger which for all intents and purposes was fairly basic but still a price tag of $15. We also shared some fries which were good, crisp and hot. The Cheeseburger was not the greatest I've had so I would definitely pass on this. The patty seemed a little mushy to me. The Summertime drink was well-made and on the stronger side so we know we got our $15 value. They have a fire pit outside and I'm not all that sure about the crowd as it seemed to be a lot of wannabes who just wanted to hang out in a nice place but didn't seem like they could really afford to partake all that much in the libations and food. It's supposed to get hopping later in the evening but we didn't stick around long enough for that. It's a good place to probably meet up for cocktails but just know it's pricey and the food is just alright. It's conveniently located above the Hollywood and Vine Red Line station so do everyone a favor and get off the freeways and take the metro if you come to Hollywood. Thank you.

Yelp
This place is the bar/small bites lobby place of the W. There are about a dozen central seats in the large open lobby (with chargers), another dozen on sofas to the side, and some outdoor ones (it was cold nite, this wasn't occupied - I suspect this is awesome with normal LA weather) and a bar area with a TV. Cocktails are about $15. The wait staff was very fast (we were there during a change of staff and had a smooth hand-off and great service). Easy conversation levels. ps we came back two nights later to have another bite and there was live band but the volume was SO LOUD we left after 30 seconds. The W management and Living Room team need to work this out.

Yelp
The W Hotel Hollywood has a nice lounge bar on the main level. Outside on the patio, it's pleasant, with comfortable seating. Inside there is live music with cozy couches to relax. They have a full bar, but are often under staffed. The dinner menu can be requested from the adjacent restaurant and enjoyed on the patio. I really like to meet new friends here, it's classy and laid back. A good vibe.

Yelp
My wife and I along with some friends hung out here after a night out in Hollywood. Overall the ambience was awesome not to be unexpected for the W hotel. We got there late so we needed a hotel room key showing we were guests; not that this is required for the majority of the day or evening but was nice late at night to limit capacity. The servers were pretty fast given the crowd. The drinks were good but definitely steeply priced. The vibe of the crowd was also hip and trendy. Overall cool spot to hang out in Hollywood.
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
It seems that it REALLY depends on what's happening here, what the crowd is like. I've stayed at the W now three times, and every time, as I walk past, it's a different vibe. I've experienced: 1. Hipster night 2. Gay punk night 3. "Gatsby" theme night 4. Am I watching Jersey Shore? 5. Everyone looks sleepy and bored 6. Cliche LA pretentious. Bottom line: You should know what you're getting by looking around on the interwebs before showing up, or you could find your vibe and their vibe to be a mismatch. Gorgeous space though. Designers should be applauded.

Yelp
This bar is inside the W Hollywood, near the corner of Hollywood and Vine. It is an awful neighborhood of tattoo shops, strip clubs and weirdness. It is also next to a subway station, which in LA is also very weird. However, go inside and it is typical W fantastic. It is very sleek and modern, but still warm and inviting. I met a friend at the Living Room, which is essentially a lobby bar. It was a large open space with big flat couches and a long bar area. They also have an outside patio area, but it was in the evening in January, so it was deserted. The service was a bit spotty at first by the bar, but it picked up and we then shifted over to some comfy chairs and got a server to take care of us. That worked out well and we had a good time. The drinks were well mixed and reasonably priced. This is a great spot for meeting people after work for drinks.

Yelp
*********************** 485 ******************* Main living room at the W Hollywood, before hitting Drai's on the roof top, we were here to have a few snacks and drinks. Then we went outside to mingle for more! While my friends had the Cheesecake and Chocolate cake, I had the Charcuterie, and it was quite decent. As typical overpriced hotel drinks, this Living Room was worth it. It is beautiful, spacious, and you can lounge around. Good Lucien Albrec Rose by the flute, and Lorraine, the beautiful server was super nice. Crowd was good on a week night, pre-fashion week!

Yelp
I have frequented this lounge on many occasions when visiting LA- I like it for one reason, it's one of the few places in Hollywood where an evening of casual and starstruck collide... all in a classy hotel bar! The W Hotel in itself is gorgeous. Plenty of cozy sitting room and drinks are stiff.

Yelp
Stopped in here the other night for a drink, or three. We sat outside as it looked more inviting than the inside area. The inside was nice don't get me wrong but when brought to a decision of a nice outdoor patio area vs an inside lounge area, I choose the patio area. Seating was good and plentiful plus they had a couple of really cool fireplaces that did the job when the sun went down. The service was kind of lacking and slow to be honest. I think they only had 1 waitress maybe 2 would have helped a bunch. I ended up just getting drinks from the bar after the first round took so long. We didn't have any food but did see a few items being brought out to people and it all looked tasty (but as we know looks may be deceiving). Overall ambiance was cool and décor was nice and clean but the service needs some work. Drinks as you'd expect are pricey but the location is great and walking distance from many other bars. Not in much of a hurry to come back, at least I can say I've been here. Honorable Mention: Expected a bit more but still a chill place to hang out at.

Yelp
Swaa-aank A girlfriend had a low-key 30th birthday party at the Living Room. I really didnt know what to expect since I was told it was the lobby of the W hotel. hmmm....sounded odd to me but really was more like the hotel bar area. Parking lots all around the W were full and I was starting to get irritated, no way was I paying the hotel valet fee, super expensive. Finally found some parking in the back of the hotel, and strutted over to the hotel, walking in through the wrong entrance. They let my patheticness enter anyway and met up with the girls. No lines, no waiting, no crowds. There is both an inside and outside area and even though it was a cold night, the temperature was perfect inside and the outside was covered. The crowd mingled easily. My friend kept pointing out the prostitutes, who doesn't love to watch them at work? A few celebrities, my favorite being Three-Six Mafia were all hanging out. A real mixed crowd which I find more and more surprising in Hollywood. Bartenders were great. Fast, friendly and asked several guys to move over so more people could be helped. Normal Hollywood prices. This is going to be one of my go to places when foreign friends come and want to feel Hollywood.

Yelp
I had the best time ever at the Living Room. I was a guest of the hotel, and this is a nice addition to the other luxuries. The drinks were great and the service was even better. They make everyone (at least the hotel guests) feel important. But let me tell you why I had such a great time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Living Room by Day: On our way out to the beach we decided to have a few Martinis to put us in the mood. There was a light crowd, and all the tables were open. We had a seat and a drink. Perfect. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Living Room by Night: WTH! This place did a complete 180 (not 360 people, geez). When we came back for dinner it was like trying to get into a club, and this was getting in the front door. Once we said we were staying in the hotel the Bouncers (Eh?) let us in. We saw someone famous, but I don't remember who. Guess they weren't that famous after all. There were lot of people, but we found seats with no problem. By the staircase....in clear view of ALL the tomfoolery about to happen. Tomfoolery #1 - So this older couple came in and had a seat. The lady was "older" (although she dressed like she was younger than me) and she was WASTED. So wasted, she tried to get up and go to the bathroom and fell down 2 steps. Like on the ground fell down. We were 3 patrons in so we were laughing. I hope she didn't break anything. Tomfoolery #2 - Long story short, we witnessed some Ladies of the Night and their Pimps conducting business. It was amazing. LOL, to see some of the other "guests" making deals with these young ladies, disappearing, then they come back and hand over all their cash to these good for nothing men. Security caught on and kicked them out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This place is good for drinks, atmosphere and tomfoolery watching!!!!!

Yelp
Our experience SUCKED! We went for jazz on Sunday night. Got there early around 7:30 and sat down, ordered drinks, food etc. About an hour later, a busser runs by and puts a reserved sign on our table. We looked at each other with much confusion and had to seek out someone to understand what had just happened. Apparently they have reservations after a certain time. I'm perfectly okay with this, but could someone have at least communicated this to us before we sat down and got comfortable? Our server walked back and forth many times and could have easily given us a heads up that we'd have to move later on in the night, or go outside on the patio which had open seating. We later talked to the Bar Manager Steve who was a pointless fixture and pretty much told us sucks to be you. What happened to customer service? It's not our fault they failed to put the reserved signs down way after we sat down and then failed to commuicate with the GUESTS! I know exactly what they were doing. Steryotyping. They want to free up the spaces for those they think are "important". Hello idiots! This is LA/Hollywood. You never know who's who so you need to treat everyone with the same respect. We didn't let it ruin our evening because we went across the street to the dive bar The Frolic Room and had a total BLAST without the drama. Our money spends anywhere. If you want to deal with the snobbery that can be in Hollywood, go here, otherwise, go somewhere that cares for all their guests. I have no intentions of going back to this place.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink and apps with the wifey before going to see a show at the Pantages. On date night you can't really complain about the prices, so I took a mental look at them, and that was that... but HOLY COW HOLLYWOOD... I GET IT... we're supposed to be all posh n ish, but holy balls. The drinks were not plenty, the apps were small, but everything was tasty. We had mentioned to our waitress that we were going to see a show just in passing conversation, and she gave us the "why didn't you tell me face" and says to us she can put a rush on our apps and receipt. Nice. The ambiance is ok. It's loungy, and awkward if you want space to eat, but you can make do... and it think it's made for relaxing and smooching. Anywho, I wouldn't make it a habit to come here, because for 3 apps and 2 drinks we spent $75 without the tip but once in a while and especially before the show... it was nice.

Yelp
Nothing spectacular other than the fact that it is in the oh so awesome W hotel. Cant complain about prices... seriously, you're in the W hotel. Who expects it to be cheap? Had a cucumber cocktail. Pretty delicious I have to say. The set up is basically the lobby, but there is plenty of seating on nice, comfy leather couches. Only thing that bugged me out were the hoodrats glaring at me from their cozy seating area... Don't hate biatch, but I seriously loathe girls and their nasty looks. Either come over and say something to me or stop looking. I'm super friendly and always open making new friends ;) We didn't spend much time here, which worked out better for us. We were able to get a great private area inside of Delphines. Review for Delphine on their own page! Living Room is probably not somewhere I would rush back to unless something great was happening, but I loveddddd the W hotel so don't be surprise if you catch me there !!

Yelp
I came here for a few glasses of wine & it was both everything I didn't know I wanted & everything I needed. The wine list is an eclectic mix of both traditional & unique wines. I had a glass of the Pinot Grigio from Anterra, Italy & a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc from St. Supery, New Zealand. Both were good but I preferred the slightly sweeter Sauvignon Blanc. The bar manager, Steve, provided witty banter & quick service. Thus, he exudes the best of both worlds. The bartenders all contributed to this common goal. The decor, as indicative of all W hotels, is majestic & breathtaking. The crowd is more mixed than at the Westwood location. This is a prime location for people watching. I've not yet had the time to partake of the food but plan on doing so for a more comprehensive review!

Yelp
When I got an evite to have food and drinks at the "Living Room", I had to read it twice. What the ----?! Did she mean her living room? huh? scratching my head... and then I read on... Oh! the Dub-dub-dubbya hotel. I see this hotel everytime we're across the street at the Pantages. Nuff said. Lehgo! I knew we were going to shell out some serious dough when the place was "valet service only". If you're on a budget, try one of the other public lots or street parking(good luck!). It's the corner of Hollywood and Vine, walking is fine. Plus, there's a metro station right underneath it, that you can utilize. All in all, a nice place to dress up for the night, listen to jammin music, and have a great drink in my hand (summertime lemonade was real refreshing!), and snack on some yummy food. I tasted the veggie spring rolls (burned my tongue on the first bite, ouch!), calamari (crispy just like I like it), and hummus with really good pita bread. We were in the mood for finger foods, but there were some heartier, more entree-like foods in the menu too. The drink waitresses were really sweet, caught my other half catching a glance or two at them and their uniforms (visualize a silky leopard print oversized man shirt cinched with a belt to look like a short dress). Only downside, when it was time to cash out our tab, the waitress was nowhere in sight. Maybe break time? And the bar won't do it for you, so you have to sit there and wait for her to come back. Then, they add a 15% service charge on your tab already. Then they ask your for gratuity. But on the upside, check out their bathrooms. So trendy. You can basically watch yourself go pee because the door is so shiny it's like a mirror. Then, you can use it to adjust yourself and your clothes before you leave the stall... so as to not appear like a sloppy drunk when you get back to your couch of cushions. Not like I'm speaking from experience or anything.

Yelp
We went to the Living Room for Jazz night last night - what a huge disappointment. I felt like I was in a room filled with American Idol contestants. The audio was bad and the lead singer couldn't hold the room, she was so uninteresting and had zero stage presence. Even the background singers and band looked incredibly bored, during the solo of "Stay With Me" which the male singer stopped then started again, the female singer was singing back up but didn't even have her mic near her face. She and the other singers were just looking around and mouthing the words. Having said that, I felt all the musicians were top notch and they worked very hard to deliver great music. Even if it wasn't my taste. But beyond all of the technical issues - THIS WAS NOT JAZZ, NOT EVEN CLOSE! I can't believe they bill it as Jazz night. At the beginning there was a little Jazz warm up but the rest of the performance was like attending a Bat Mitzvah with a top 40 cover group. Which was pretty ballsy as the Grammy's were last weekend, you would think they wouldn't even attempt the lame renditions. Very disappointing. They tried to incorporate a burlesque show into the mix, and that seemed out of place although the dancers were talented - you kind of got the feeling they didn't really know why they were there. I've seen a lot of burlesque around town - and this didn't even rank. It seemed very gratuitous and rushed. The other issue was the expense of the tables. $500 minimum! That is wrong on so many levels. The crowd was eclectic and well behaved although those that had tables appeared to be D-bags and didn't really give a hoot about the music, just the bottle service. I will never go back to this event again - but at least I know it exists and I can warn others against going.

Yelp
I love a bar with good mixology and Living Room delivers. The Cucumber Cooler was so sweet, light and refreshing. And got me tipsy off of just one! They have a great outdoor patio as well, with fire pits and the starless L.A. sky above ;) All in all, if you want a swanky evening, but don't want the challenge of the lines for Drakes, Living Room is a good bet. Dress code is a little strict, so look presentable.

Yelp
Love the decor and friendly atmosphere. Alcohol is always awesome so this place should take the cake right? I had the steak sandwich which I must admit was pretty dank but I've honestly have many more burgers that tasted better for about half the price. It's the W so you have to expect a little more cash to be spent, but I also expect a slightly better tasting burger. Fries were on point for sure though, thumbs up to them. But it's rad enough that I will be back to give it another shot and hope to bump it up 1.

Yelp
Pretty awful experience with one of the ladies working last night. We came in a party of 20+, she approached us and told us to sit by the dj area only to be forced to buy drinks. Apparently it's required for everyone in the party to buy drinks, which is fine, but she was very pushy the majority of the night. Didn't bill us right when we ordered, so naturally there was confusion as to who's paying for what at the end of the night. Accused some of us on skipping the tab when we were still there til almost 2am. When we came to close the tab, she assumed an automatic gratuity that was half of the total bill. Assumed gratuity on others' checks as well. Very poorly handled and unprofessional.

Yelp
This place is a dump. I went for their "jazz night." The lobby was filled with a bunch of wannabe gang bangers with their pants sagging to the floor. This place is not sexy. It is not classy. It is completely tacky. Service was awful. The "valet parker" was texting. The "doorman" was biting his finger nails. Avoid this place at all cost. This hotel is just a hang out for Hollywood trash who want to be famous..... Sorry to be harsh, but it's the truth.

Yelp
I am sitting here waiting for food with my family and we've waited over an hour French fries, chicken sandwich and a salad. We came here early to eat before the show so we could relax and enjoy ourselves and now we are not even sure if we are going to be able to eat! DON NOT EAT HERE If you need to see a show and have over an hour and a half because you will need three hours just to get a salad!

Yelp
Very nice lounge right when you walk into the W hotel to the right. it's only one bar and lots of setting. The crowd can be a hit or a miss just depends on when you come. They have a nice outside patio with comfortable setting and heating lamps. The drinks are a little strong. I haven't tried their food yet but it looks pretty good. I like this lounge in the W verses the one in Westwood because this lounge is bigger and a better crowd. The last time I came was for a charity event. It was super ghetto and I was disappointed about that :( that was my only bad experience here but usually when I come it's pretty upscale and lots of people are present. I recommend you come on a saturday night. I may be here for New Years :)

Yelp
If you want to have a classic Hollywood experience, go no further than the W on Sunday for live jazz. Check out the hotel bar dubbed the Living Room and you'll find a solid selection of cocktails, an outdoor patio bar, and a venue that's crawling with 20 and 30 something scenesters and beautiful people. Don't be afraid to dress up you'll find plenty of cocktail dresses and sport coats. Even better the live Jazz has dancers for a handful of the songs which makes it all the more enjoyable.

Yelp
I like this place. The drinks are delicious and well made. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, which is rare for higher end places like the W. The location is great, so is the architecture. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because drinks are pricey. A shot of Louis XIII being more than twice the price of the Montage in Beverly Hills (the Montage is a better hotel), and some of the crowd when we want on a Friday night was very, very ghetto. I'd come back though, because the positives outweighed the negatives.

Yelp
Came here one night with a friend and discovered it was a sausage fest. She being newly single and me being married we had a good time and wish that the live reggae music hadn't been cut off by the DJ. The food was great and the environment upscale...despite the crowd on the streets surrounding the hotel.

Yelp
This is a really sexy lounge with a nice vibe. it's a great place to conduct a quaint business meeting over drinks in a sleek lounge with nice leather couches and trendy furniture. Right in the "Living Room" of the W Hotel there's a bar, and some cool music playing. There are drink waitresses and they also serve food. Be prepared, the stuff on the menu ain't cheap! There's a nice view of a beautiful stairwell over a chandelier. Drinks are expensive, go figure it's the W! Check this joint out if you're in the area,

Yelp
Wow. If only there were only seven '$'s. Sunday morning blues is the word of the day here. And no experience (or wisdom) with sorts bar etiquette. 3 identical feeds side by side with WC commercials and pre game ramblings. Meantime. NHRA. GOLF. B BALL. SAD.

Yelp
We went for the Jazz night. Who doesn't like a free jazz event and all songs were so good. The bend very alive and entertaining, the performers really professional and on top of all good sounds there was some "burlesque" dancers that were pretty good. The atmosphere was great but too crowded. Very few seats and tables just for "friends". I was told I had to call... But who knew so many people go for a lobby little event? The room itself felt small, nice though. Two bars with expensive drinks that miss the alcohol. I am not a drinker so one drink should had me take the mic and sing but this one martini was like juice. Anyway... Not bad but not what I thought would be: nice, fancy jazzy atmosphere. Not at all, was more like a club with too many tickets sold. But, hey!!!! No cover charge and really good live music!!!! And they won't let you go in the front door if don't have a room at the hotel. They make you walk all around to the back entrance. Even though we saw him let some people pass by:)) I don't know what to make of this... But I'll go back for the music sometime. 4 stars for the music 3 for service.

Yelp
We stopped here before a show for a couple of drinks and appetizers. The waitress took our order, seemed "off". First our food ordered, two items, one that was wrong. Then she hurriedly brought our water 10 minutes later and said our drinks worry coming. 5 minutes before we had to leave the drinks arrived. I asked for the check as we had too leave. 5 minutes later we got up and had to ask again. Then came the check, I would have tipped anyway because I always do. There was an obligatory tip already charged. Must be why they can get away with the bad service. Really annoyed and wanted to share.
