Living with the Land at EPCOT is a relaxing and surprisingly interesting boat ride that takes you through greenhouses and innovative farming areas. It’s a nice break from the more intense attractions, giving you a chance to sit back and enjoy while learning about sustainable agriculture and new ways of growing food. The ride is calm, informative, and unique, showing real plants and even some fish farms. It’s a great option if you want to slow down a bit during your day at the park while still experiencing something educational and memorable.

A calm and delightful ride amidst the hustle and bustle. • It’s fresh, peaceful, interesting and a great way to take a break while still enjoying what the park has to offer. Children learn and parents relax. ⏱️ The line usually moves quickly, so don’t miss it while you’re at Epcot. 📍The attraction is located inside The Land, between Soarin and the Seasons food court.

As someone who has spent years studying the history and design of Walt Disney World attractions, Living with the Land remains one of EPCOT’s most underappreciated treasures. The gentle boat ride offers more than relaxation—it is a living classroom where science and serenity blend seamlessly. Passing through the greenhouses, you witness real agricultural research in action, from hydroponics to vertical growing systems. Few realize that some of the produce grown here is actually served in EPCOT restaurants such as Garden Grill. The attraction perfectly captures EPCOT’s original mission: to inspire through innovation and education. The narration may be calm and soothing, but the message is forward-looking—reminding us of the vital role sustainable farming will play in our future. Trivia for fellow enthusiasts: the greenhouses are not just for show. Behind the scenes, Disney has collaborated with NASA on plant growth experiments, and some of the techniques tested here have even informed space agriculture projects. In short, Living with the Land is not simply a ride; it is a rare fusion of relaxation, science, and vision. A must for anyone who wants to experience the heart of EPCOT’s legacy.

One of my favorite rides at EPCOT. Usually not a big wait, its very nostalgic for my childhood. I know its changed over the years but it doesn't seem all that different? Anyway, just a chill ride, giving a brief overview of various biomes, then moves into various methods of farming in difficult to farm areas, finally it finishes with convergent farming and some upbeat message about the future of farming and agriculture. It's a water/boat based ride, although not in any way 'thrilling', but if you have a fear of water and/or boats, this may not be the ride for you.

A nice calm ride with amazing sights. Always a must ride and a good way to get away from the chaos of the park. They also offer a tour that goes in depth into all the goings on in the greenhouses. Highly recommend!

🌱Love this Ride - So Relaxing 🌱 There's something about this ride that's irresistibly calming. It's educational, teaching about the history of farm-to-table sustenance, and takes you through Disney's personal greenhouse and fish hatchery, where many of the ingredients they use for meals is cultivated. The smells and sights refresh the mind, and I always leave the ride feeling hopeful and inspired. It's a slow-moving boat ride (some parts are dark) that can be enjoyed by everyone in your party. I think even kids will enjoy seeing the variety of fish and plant life being grown at the parks (some of the species are familiar and some quite exotic). There isn't usually a long line for Living with the Land, making it a great post-luncheon or just-before-closing option.

Never miss this ride. Every time I go on this ride I get ideas for my gardeat home. It is so interesting and informative. All park goers can ride. Easy on and off. Elevator is right by the exit which is helpful. #ada #garden

Living with the Land actually exceeded my expectations. And I think this ‘exhibition’ is the best among all attractions with the ride that moves slower than 5 mph. Not a satire. The slow moving boat takes you to different ecosystems and educates on essentials of sustainable food supply system. It’s cool because you will see actual working system and samples instead of abstract concepts. Wait time for this attraction/exhibition is usually very short during non-peak season. Try it if the wait time is less than 30 minutes, especially if the weather conditions are less than ideal - too hot or rainy - outside.
