This is an easy ride to take after a long day in the park. The very best time to do this one is when it's dark outside.. the place looks stunning with all the lights twinkling.. a real surprise and a ride the whole family can enjoy. Great food right outside this ride too!

This is one of the most popular rides in Epcot. Even within couple of hours of opening, the wait time was more than 40 minutes. I signed for fast lane for this ride, so we were able to skip the line and get to ride in about 5 minutes. It is a ride on a boat that floats through a water pathway. It goes through several sections illustrating the development of civilization from the stone age. Then it enters a wonderful space where we got to see indoor plantation of all the fruits, vegetables, flowers, and trees we all know and eat. Finally it went thru fishery station where some of the tanks actually had farm fish. Overall it was a nice smooth ride. Very friendly for kids. But as an adult it was okay for me.

Living with the Land at EPCOT is a relaxing and surprisingly interesting boat ride that takes you through greenhouses and innovative farming areas. It’s a nice break from the more intense attractions, giving you a chance to sit back and enjoy while learning about sustainable agriculture and new ways of growing food. The ride is calm, informative, and unique, showing real plants and even some fish farms. It’s a great option if you want to slow down a bit during your day at the park while still experiencing something educational and memorable.

A calm and delightful ride amidst the hustle and bustle. • It’s fresh, peaceful, interesting and a great way to take a break while still enjoying what the park has to offer. Children learn and parents relax. ⏱️ The line usually moves quickly, so don’t miss it while you’re at Epcot. 📍The attraction is located inside The Land, between Soarin and the Seasons food court.

As someone who has spent years studying the history and design of Walt Disney World attractions, Living with the Land remains one of EPCOT’s most underappreciated treasures. The gentle boat ride offers more than relaxation—it is a living classroom where science and serenity blend seamlessly. Passing through the greenhouses, you witness real agricultural research in action, from hydroponics to vertical growing systems. Few realize that some of the produce grown here is actually served in EPCOT restaurants such as Garden Grill. The attraction perfectly captures EPCOT’s original mission: to inspire through innovation and education. The narration may be calm and soothing, but the message is forward-looking—reminding us of the vital role sustainable farming will play in our future. Trivia for fellow enthusiasts: the greenhouses are not just for show. Behind the scenes, Disney has collaborated with NASA on plant growth experiments, and some of the techniques tested here have even informed space agriculture projects. In short, Living with the Land is not simply a ride; it is a rare fusion of relaxation, science, and vision. A must for anyone who wants to experience the heart of EPCOT’s legacy.

A nice calm ride with amazing sights. Always a must ride and a good way to get away from the chaos of the park. They also offer a tour that goes in depth into all the goings on in the greenhouses. Highly recommend!

Google
Amazing exp that teaches you abt land and plant while on a boat ride. Many plants, and cool display. They have rice growing on sand, so I am not sure if the rice is real. They have fish.

Google
Living with the Land actually exceeded my expectations. And I think this ‘exhibition’ is the best among all attractions with the ride that moves slower than 5 mph. Not a satire. The slow moving boat takes you to different ecosystems and educates on essentials of sustainable food supply system. It’s cool because you will see actual working system and samples instead of abstract concepts. Wait time for this attraction/exhibition is usually very short during non-peak season. Try it if the wait time is less than 30 minutes, especially if the weather conditions are less than ideal - too hot or rainy - outside.

Yelp
While my family and I were visiting Disney World over the Holidays, we had a chance to experience Living with the Land - Glimmering Greenhouses multiple times. This is one of my favorite holiday rides in Disney World. Living with the Land is located in the Land Pavilion in World Nature at Epcot. It's on the first level next to Soarin. The wait time for this ride typically doesn't get longer than 30 minutes. You can also get a lightning lane for Living with the Land as well. This ride is for all ages and any height. It's a slow boat ride that goes through Epcot's greenhouses. While we were visiting, the Living with the Land was decorated with beautiful holiday lights, Holiday Boxes, snow globes and so much more. The ride was majestic during the evening hours. While you're going through this ride, you'll learn all about innovative growing techniques and different plants! You'll also get to see some of their tilapia, catfish, and freshwater shrimp! We had a chance to eat at the Garden Grill Restaurant one of the days we were visiting Epcot, and all of the fresh produce and seafood is used from the greenhouses that you see in Living with the Land! The Festival of Holidays ran from November 29 through December 30 in 2024. This ride is so much fun! It's approximately a little bit longer than 10 minutes. It's such a calm ride and educational too!

Yelp
When I was little, I remember riding this and that there were lights on the fish in tanks. As an adult, this is actually a really cool, interesting ride about farming and I paid attention the whole time actually. I think I'm going to try growing cucumbers now on trellises this year as a result of the ride, in fact. Parents bring your kids on this for a nap for them and a break for yourselves and you will also learn something.

Yelp
Last week may have been my first experience with Living with the Land. It's like a light dark ride. You're indoors, in a boat, but there is plenty of natural light. Why? It's a growing plants experience. Plants grow so... creatively here! Pumpkins on the vine hanging on poles. That sort of thing. I heard all kinds of things about farming that I've already forgotten. Guess I'll have to go on another Land cruise.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with Living With The Land and it's probably my favorite ride at Epcot, second only to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure!! Living With The Land is iconic and just so pleasant. If you enjoy Gran Fiesta Tour in the Mexico Pavilion, you're going to love Living With The Land because it's also a boat ride and 10x longer than GFT! You get to see all these different ecosystems across the world and specific to Disney, how they grow and propagate plants, and it's just so much fun! You will probably be extremely tempted to hop off this ride and go pick a fruit or vegetable here or that because it is seemingly easy to do so and that's just how close you are to everything, but DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO THAT! If you get off this boat at any time during the ride, you WILL be banned from Disney for life and that is not an empty threat that they issue at the beginning of the ride only. My friend group had a whole discussion about it and it's wild how many people try to hop off and back on during this ride. Everyone remain calm and just enjoy the SIGHTS that the ride has to offer and don't get greedy with it and try to take a little souvenir or something! All in all, I absolutely love this ride! You would think it would be a perfect time to take a little nap, but it's actually so engaging that you're awake for all of it, but it is lovely since you get to be off your feet for like 15+ minutes enjoying and learning! Make sure to also be on the look out for hidden Mickeys as there are plenty throughout this ride!!!!!

Yelp
This ride is as relaxing as it is educational. It is cool, refreshing, and slow'n'easy. I learn something new every time I ride through the Land. Today I saw an animatronic monkey swing a vine on the left of the boat. I'd never seen him before! I don't know if orchids and plumeria are REALLY edible flowers, but I will definitely investigate. I grow both!

Yelp
Needs more pirates! This is actually a very relaxing and somewhat amusing educational ride.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite attractions in Epcot because I enjoy seeing all of the cool plants they're growing in Epcot and the unique growing methods. This is a slow-moving ride perfect for after lunch/dinner, and this is appropriate for all ages.

Yelp
This ride is slightly interesting to know how Disney grows their food. It's also incredibly boring and feels outdated in its application.
