Liv's Juice + Acai Bar

This was my first time at Livs and I had a great impression from the start! The food was delicious, and the cleanliness of the place was top-notch. Marcelo recommended the Chocolate Lovers drink, and it was both tasty and nutritious. The açaí bowls were also amazing! I will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

I have to leave a review saying how amazing Liv’s is!! The whole store is clean, and the employees are amazing. They remember my name, my order, and always have it ready fast. Their açaí bowls are amazing!!! Their manager Marcelo is a great guy who always makes me and my friends feel welcome when we stop by for breakfast or lunch. Definitely come here if you are ever in the area.

Liv’s is the best. Our favorite smoothie place by far. Smoothies and juices are amazing, the toasts are flavorful and we always have to keep a container of the peanut butter in our fridge. The staff are friendly and it is always clean. Love that it’s a family owned business too. You can never go wrong with Liv’s!

I LOVE Liv’s… I’ve been a regular since they opened and always look forward to seeing the team in Medford. Such a yummy classic açaí bowl! Their fresh-ground peanut butter is EVERYTHING and they did not skimp out on it! Gobbled this up.

I stumbled upon this place by chance, and today, I walked in to experience an exceptional level of friendliness and customer service at Livs. We need more people like the ones who work here. The decor and ambiance are fabulous, the smoothie consistency is perfect – not watered down like most Boston smoothie bars. The smoothies taste fresh, and I highly recommend stopping by. I love avocado toast, and they made sure it tasted just the way I wanted because who likes a bland avocado toast? I ordered an acai bowl and overnight oats, and they were absolutely terrific. I had an encounter where a dasher with a food delivery company actually stole my order...and the staff at Liv's Juice Bar went out of their way to make the situation right, even though it was not their responsibility, or their wrongdoing. I appreciated that more than I could express. The staff is incredibly kind, and the food is delicious. Consider me a customer for years to come!

Went on a Sunday of grocery shopping and errands around 5pm. The dining area was beautiful - decorated with vibrant green plants overhanging wooden chairs and tables. I also love a yellow light ambiance so this will make a great a study session spot in the future! The woman at the counter was kind - she offered me suggestions/what was the most popular drink. (I believe it's the blueberry smoothie) I ended up receiving the peanut butter in a cup smoothie which was thick, sweet, and packed with a peanut buttery/chocolate taste. Although it wasn't my favorite - I still enjoyed it and I'll be coming back again to try more!

Came in hoping for a little vitamin c pick me up as I'm fighting the start of a cold..asked the girl in the front for a suggestion and she blankly looked at me and said yes you can have a smoothie or a juice. I again asked which would be good for something being run down and just pointed to the sign. Super helpful fml. Everything has sugar added also , so it's just a place for fun drinks not sure why they advertise cleanses cos this place is far from healthy.

Super fresh, and delicious smoothie. Tried the green machine and it was perfect! Good nutrients and yummy taste. A little on the pricey side but I guess most of Boston is expensive now anyways. A solid smoothie spot!

Food: I was craving an açaí bowl in this 90 something heat wave, and no doubt, this satisfied it big time. This açaí bowl was incredible. The fruit was so fresh, the peanut butter was super thick, and the base was so refreshing! Service: The workers were really nice, it was really hot lol so they even offered to fill my water bottle with ice when I asked. Ambiance: There is both outdoor and indoor seating. It can get loud inside the restaurant because they are blending but just know there is seating outdoors as well. I love this area as well. Will definitely be coming back!

We were in our healthy era this morning and wanted something fruity so we stopped by livs to grab some customized acai bowls. They were good but very pricey and i didn't know how to feel when i opened my bowl and all of my toppings were stuck to the lid. But I still prefer this place over any other smoothie/healthy places tho. Service was nice and quick

One of my first experiences with a Juice bar. I think it's in a great spot. Plenty of space inside and the staff is very good. More importantly the smoothies are great. I got the Green Machine and it was delicious. I felt great afterwards too; it did it's job of giving me a little extra boost. I would recommend this place. A definite treat.

Now this was my first time ever going to a "juice bar" but was dragged in by my girlfriend. I was pleasantly surprised. As we were famished for breakfast food, we split a Salmon Toast. Good move. Very refreshing - salmon tasted great, the add ins with capers, cucumbers and onions were A1. The portion size was big - enough for 2 people to share. The service was fast and receptive, nothing spectacular. Nice seating on the inside, but if the weather is willing, I recommend grabbing some seats outside. Great way to get some rays while enjoying your food. Next we had our shakes. Blueberry cobbler and Strawberry Banana. Both 24oz. The big boys. The blueberry cobbler had blueberry, whey protein, peanut butter, milk and other goodies. That brought it home. My girlfriend ordered the strawberry banana. It wasn't half bad but I still prefer the blueberry cobbler. We stop by fairly regularly now and highly recommend getting their shakes, especially after the gym next door.

I drive 20-30 min to this place bc I love the smoothies here. I got an oatmeal bowl for my boyfriend with peanut butter. I ended up getting a bowl of peanut butter with oatmeal. I go between the Medford and Woburn locations and the ingredient portions are not consistent. Once we got a bowl of oatmeal with chocolate chips that was basically a bowl of chocolate chips with a bit of oatmeal. The amount of granola that they add to the smoothie bowls is sometimes outrageous which makes me wonder if any of this is healthy at all.

This Peanut Butter Toast is always a go to when I need a good breakfast before my workout. It's a very large piece of bread and delicious homemade peanut butter! At first glance, you may think it looks oily (from the pb) but it's just the Agave they drizzle on top. At times it can be heavy handed, however, it is still enjoyable and sometimes necessary to combat the stickiness of the peanut butter. The service is always kind and efficient. Remember to tip!

I love this place and can't speak highly enough about it! The smoothies are so good and I love trying all of the açaí and overnight oat bowls! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here! My one note - I would suggest ordering ahead. They tend to be busy, so you can end up waiting ~10 minutes to get your smoothie. Worth the wait, if you need to though!!

Worts service ever! The cashier speak Spanish and between them speak the same language but when I try to speak with they the same language he refuses. No bueno amigo

I've been going to Liv's for about a year now and it's always delicious. Portions are big compared to other playa bowl shops (both in Boston and compared to a couple I've been to around the country). The manager also seems super friendly and helpful. I've had a few bad instances while ordering delivery via whatever third-party delivery system they use where the driver dropped the delivery bag or drinks, and they were very quick to reimburse or send another. The only reason I am giving them four stars is because the wait time can be a little long for ordering or picking up at the shop. I've noticed they tend to have a lot of customers, perhaps due to popularity, so it's not too surprising.

I really was craving for something healthy and refreshing and this definitely hit the spot. I am kinda particular with my smoothies and wow, the green machine did not disappoint! The thickness was just right- not too slurry but not a block of greens.. and flavor was very well blended! We also got the House toppings acai bowl and it was filled with fresh fruit and yummy granola. I would totally recommend this place !!

Great customer service. I bought 2 green machines by mistake. and they gave me great options so it doesn't go to waste! They told me I can come back the next day or whenever of my choosing since I already paid for it. Thank God plus their service is super fast so you're never really waiting for that long.

Super cute with LA vibes. Quick service and the smoothie was good. I will say it was pretty thick though and somewhat hard to drink through a straw, so i prob wouldnt get again. But i would come back to try another smoothie or bowl.

Where do I begin. Liv's is the greatest thing that could have happened to Boston let alone Medford. It is my GO TO smoothie bar. Even with all of the other amazing options throughout the city, Liv's still triumps the rest. For me, I've been coming to Liv's for years now, ever since they opened 2-3 years ago just shy of the pandemic. At first - I was an avid acai bowl customer of theirs but one day tried the Blue Berry Cobbler Smoothie of theirs and it's literally the best thing I've ever gotten from them or anywhere else for that matter. Their Blue Berry Cobbler includes: Oat Milk, Blueberries, Oats, Vanilla Whey, Home-Made Peanut Butter, Acai, Agave. The perfect balance where you can use this as a pick me up, a post-workout drink, or even something to cool you off on a hot summer day. From what was casual trips to Liv's is now a weekly reoccurance - even with the price tag. At $10 a smoothie it's not cheap - but once you have a sip you can taste the quality of the ingredients and their fantastic HOMEMADE peanut butter. Their homemade peanut butter is literal crack. Every visit I have to buy minimum 2 tubs of peanut butter just to get me through the week! I use it in just about everything - homemade smoothies, parfait bowls, overnight oats, etc. Some pro tips when coming here is to order ahead over the phone! They get quite busy especially over the weekend - that way you can order and walk right in to pay and pick it up. Also when ordering a smoothie I LOVE to ask for it double blended or "extra blended" as it makes the smoothie a smoother and richer texture. They also offer a stamp card which I highly recommend to ask for one and to not lose because your 10th smoothie is free! They also offer free wifi and seating which is nice if you want to come with friends or to sit solo and lounge!

Updating my review: Liv's has great juices but needs to get their ordering system in check. Buyers beware - if you order in the store you will most probably be waiting for 15 minutes awhile watching others who ordered online before and/or after you pick up their drinks. We arrived at 10:30 am for reference and left at 10:45 am. If that sounds fun, then by all means come by here impulsively and wait. I'd order ahead of time and prepare :)

Liv's offers lots of smoothies, bowls, and toasts that are not crazy expensive ($12 + tax for a bowl). However, they won't split the base (whereas at Playa Bowls I get half acai and half green base) which is frustrating. They have a few outdoor seats which is great in the nice weather. The staff have been friendly!

This place is amazing! We come every weekend for a smoothie or breakfast. I would highly recommend the House Açaí bowl or really anything with their homemade peanut butter. Vibes: This place is so cute on the inside with lots of plants. They try to be eco friendly with some of their to go items and straws which I appreciate. ** Expect them to be busy on the weekend and maybe order ahead but worth the wait.

Pricey, but very good smoothies. Got the cold brew crunch and blue majik. Loved the cold brew crunch, it was so addictive. The blue majik had a surprisingly light and fruity taste. Will be back to try the others (although my wallet might not like it). Get the smoothie card/stamps so that the 9th smoothie is free. I wasn't wow'ed by the açaí bowls as the açaí tasted kind of water down. It's a lot of work putting these together and the workers work hard, so go during off hours like me for a more pleasant experience. I can imagine how long you'd have to wait when it gets busy.

Whenever I go for walks around Somerville, especially if it's a nice day, I try to stop by Liv's. They can get busy in store so I always order online when I start my walk and just walk up to the counter to get my drink. I've never had to wait and everyone in there has always been really attentive! The prices are typical for a juice bar. It's never gonna be cheap but it's what you'd expect. I love their juices. Really fresh, not overly sweet. They're perfect for summer days when you really want something refreshing. I always get the hangover one (though admittedly never when I've had a hangover..) just because I really like green juice. I also love their smoothies - so delicious. The peanut butter one (can't remember the exact name) is usually the go-to here. They also offer bottled options if you want to take a couple juices home for later, and they have some snack options. I haven't tried the bowls or protein bites but definitely will be back!

I used to be a regular here but not anymore. I just bought 2 smoothies and a protein bar and spent $40 on top of it I gave the guy a tip. So I called them right away because one of my smoothie wasn't good. So I called and spoke to the kid and mentioned that one of the smoothies was so bad that I had to call them and let him know, I didn't want a refund or anything because I like this place. But I told him that I would just taste ice and pb chunks and he goes well you did sub the almond milk for water so we made it right. But I was like it different have ice chunks in the smoothies and he goes yes we made it how you wanted. Kept arguing with me. I wanted water not chunks of ice regardless the way it was handled it was so poor started accuse me that it's my fault because I changed my an ingredient in there. Terrible attitude. Do better at training and hiring your staff.

Food and flavors are wonderful when you order early am, at lunch rush it's a complete mess and half the orders are either wrong, or your smoothie bowl is soup. So frustrating because I'm finding myself deliberately avoiding it during the noon rush now as a result. Their staff is clearly overwhelmed and unable to manage it. The food is amazing if you get it right on time.

Use to love Livs and would recommend it to anyone in the past. Lately things have gotten sloppy. Twice I've sucked plastic through my straw while drinking my smoothie and my smoothies always seem to taste different each visit. I valued the consistency with which my smoothies were made but there seems to be some changes. Attached you'll see a picture of a "pink crush". I make a better one at home!

I have been to this plaza for years and I have never been here before. I had the vacation in a cup with collagen added in and my friend got the blue majik. the smoothie was great and refreshing after my run! I am very excited to come back and try their açaí bowls.

the açaí bowl is so sub par it's not even funny. fruits not fresh base has no taste. can't speak for the iteams but definitely the worst bowl I've ever had

Cute location, yummy smoothies. Vegan options. Clean, provides hand sanitizer at register, bathroom is spotless. Has biodegradable straws. Very comfortable space to work from. Plentiful plugs to create an easy temp working station. Nice natural light. Easy free 2hr parking. I will definitely be back.

Probably one of the best acai/smoothie bowls in the boston area. My partner loves their homemade peanut butter.

Can only speak to the açaí bowl that each of us in our group got ...way too sweet. We all felt crappy afterwards which could have been achieved by eating a much cheaper breakfast over at Dunkin. Both the granola (low quality) & the peanut butter tasted like there is added sugar and quite a bit at that. A shame because otherwise the peanut butter would have been quite good! Also, the fruit should be cut in bite sized pieces so you don't have to awkwardly cut them with your spoon in the (full) bowl before each bite. The employees were friendly and the place was lively and clean but a surely Boston must have better & healthier options to grab an Açaí bowl.

Their granola is not gluten free, but advertised that it is. Signs up front that advertise GF bowls. Very frustrating!

My roommate and I tried Liv's today and loved it! I had the Revitalize juice which was; orange, carrot, apple, lemon and turmeric. It tasted so fresh and full of goodness. Liv's has an extensive menu full of wondeful options, as well as a refrigerator with fresh pressed and bottled juices and cleanses. Can't wait to try more menu items!

Decided to check this spot out after driving by many times, and so glad I did! This is the cutest spot to grab some healthy food. They have amazing smoothies in which you can customize them to your liking. Their PB&J smoothie is probably one of my favorite smoothies ever! Also, they have great other options such as the Lox toast and açaí bowl. Only critic is that it is on the pricier side for what it is!

Came here for the first time today and am obsessed. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there. This bowl was so delicious and filling! I can't wait to get another. I loved the little details of the place that make a difference, like the utensil dispenser only releases one at a time handle facing down in order to be more sanitary. They also had hand sanitizer by the door. They had some tables inside and outside, but I wouldn't recommend eating inside because of the loud blenders constantly going.

Not only are the smoothies and other food options delicious, the staff is amazing. There was a problem with one of the delivery services; not only did the manager, AJ, take time on his *day off* to help fix it, when the technical problem could not be resolved and he learned that I am facing a very serious medical situation that makes it difficult to eat solid food, they sent me an extremely generous gift certificate that I could use on another delivery platform. This was the best customer service experience I have ever had. Oh, and by the way: their smoothies are some of the best I have ever had, and this comes from a person who can basically only keep down smoothies these days. If you are looking for great food and equally good customer service, look no further. The food is amazing, but the encounter I had today seriously improved my faith in humanity. I know that sounds dramatic, but I mean it. The Liv's team's random act of kindness made my day; and the smoothie that is on the way will only make it better :)

one of the better açaí bowls i've had. the açaí base was creamy and not super sweet, and the housemade peanut butter tasted yummy. and this cute little bowl was surprisingly filling. i also took a few swigs of my friend's ginger snap smoothie-- it actually tasted more like peanut butter than ginger, but honestly that was a pleasant surprise. i will say that thing was so thick it could've been eaten with a spoon.

Liv's is my new local obsession. We discovered it 3 weeks ago and have been there every weekend since. First, the atmosphere is super hip and cozy-- very well done. Second, the FOOD! Gah! So fresh and delicious. So far I've had avocado toast, Greek toast, a pumpkin smoothie, a ginger snap smoothie, and my DH has gotten the same thing each time b/c he loves it so much-- an oatmeal w granola & classic fruit/PB topping. The Greek toast & gingersnap smoothie are going to be my go to items, for sure. We've also taken home quite a few bottles of their cold pressed juice... the green is SO good. A lucky bonus for us and everyone else is their buy 8 or 9 (I forget which!) juices or smoothies and get one free. The staff is very friendly & for making items to order and scratch, the wait time is not long at all. So happy to have found Liv's!

I am an acai bowl conessieur and this place was on point! The acai bowl was perfect and the homemade peanut butter delicious. Very clean, great offerings and plenty of parking.

Absolutely love this juice bar! I came here for the first time two weeks ago and I've been back three times since that visit. The nitro cold brew coffee is absolutely fantastic. The juice and acai bowls are reasonably priced and so refreshing. Definitely recommend paying this place a visit!

Usually love this place. Today we placed an order and when I arrived after the 20 minutes I was given when I ordered, I still waited another 25 minutes in store. I watched my ticket stay in the same place while 5-6 in store orders were moved ahead of mine. I checked in when I got there and they wrote an H on there. I asked them why all those in store orders were going ahead of mine which was placed 40 minutes ago. He told me they were short staffed. I said okay but what is the point of order ahead of you are going to keep putting my ticket to the end. I watched people order in person and leave with their smoothies before my order was even looked at. If that is the case I would have just placed the order in the store and left. I received the wrong smoothie. We ordered 4, one was a 24 ounce so they then had to go make a new one. They also gave us the wrong smoothie out of 4. 2 were actually correct. Worst experience.

Tasty smoothies, you can add protein too! I liked how their smoothies have substance like oats, but butters, etc so they'll actually keep you full! Also they offer two sizes to make it more affordable!

My best friend is the sweetest Galentine. I have been feeling a bit under the weather and she decided to surprise me with a Liv's tropical dragonfruit bowl with honey. The dragonfruit is the most beautiful magenta color topped with chia seeds, coconut flakes, and granola. A scrumptious and nutritious meal. The UberEats deliver left it right outside of my apartment door, so it was a successful contactless delivery. Thank you for adding a little sweetness to my Valentine's Day!

Acai bowls are good but very slim on toppings 4 blueberries and 2 strawberries, about half of what Playa or Life Alive serves for the same price and that is Boston and this is Somerville. Also, they have no hot coffee or hot anything (how hard is it to have hot water and a tea bag available, especially at those margins). Lastly, for God's sake, lock the right side door when you face the store or have a tall barrier to catch the wind. The constant opening and closing of that door sends a cold raft of air to the entire front sitting area and renders the seating area completely useless. Having people only use the left door with drafts going towards the empty space with the juice rack makes a lot more sense.
