We love this restaurant BUT ... we had a very bad experience with the manager this evening. Actually, I can't recall ever having been treated more rudely. Our waiter was sweet and the food was very good.
However, we were seated in one of the outdoor igloos, which was lovely. It had, what we thought was our own music system - - a Sonos speaker. And, because we are in this private igloo, we thought we could just turn down the music from the Sonos speaker. Apparently, we were wrong because the speaker was connected to the whole restaurant. We would never have known this.
We were in for a VERY RUDE AWAKENING-- when the manager burst in to the igloo and yelled at us, no exaggeration. He informed us that this wasn't our home, and we could not just change the volume setting ourselves. Of course, we had no idea that we couldn't do this and we apologized. How would we know. He was so rude, I can't tell you how rude he was. Even when he attempted to apologize, he was still rude. it would be really hard to go back to Liz's and it's really a shame. And, sure, maybe he was having a bad night, but he could've come in later and really apologized or he could've even comped something, but no, he did not. So, we will not be going back.
