Google
I have been here a few times now and the food is amazing. They have a big menu selection so you're bound to find something you like. The servers are always nice with good energy. The building is in desperate need of renovation but the food and location bring me back everytime.

Google
I went to Philadelphia for a weekend trip and trying to get some places with good food for brunch and this is the one. They serve food real quick. I'm satisfied with both quality and quantity served.

I’ve lived right around the corner from this gem and even saw Silver Linings Playbook, but I had no idea how good the food is there. Grits were piping hot and smooth. This is a rarity up north. Waitress knew my order by the third visit. I’m getting hungry thinking about it.

Google
The night crew, especially our waitress Grace, was so accommodating to our large group. They were super friendly, the place was very clean, and our waitress was super efficient. The food was delicious and a great price. Everything came out very quickly and with our group of close to 20, it was impressive. Being open 24 hours made it a stress free dinner because we did not have to worry about eating super quick and getting out. I definitely recommend and will be back.

Google
Great little diner with a large menu, excellent service, and hard to beat prices. We happened to be driving by and wanted a quick bite relatively late in the evening when many other restaurants were closed, Llanerch definitely delivered on quick and really good food. We didn't realize until being seated that the Diner was featured in Silver Linings Playbook which was a fun fact to see! Will absolutely return if in the area in the future.

Google
Had a very enjoyable nice dinner. Big gave us plenty of food and I probably would go back although I might order something other than what I've had I probably go to the chop sirloin. I had pasta and chicken and it was good. Very pleasant inexpensive place to have dinner with family or friends. Not too fancy just a diner. Nice size portions. I enjoyed the soup and the salad was fine too.

Google
Typical diner. Good prices, good selection abd service. Only thing i didn’t like was i don’t like when i ask for scrambled with cheese and they put it on top as pictured and same with the peppers and onions just thrown on top. Other than that good spot to stop for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict here before too and it was pretty good.

Google
This place is AWESOME!!!!!! Waitress was great, food came out super fast. Lady at the front counter was super sweet. Plenty of eagles merchandise. Awesome food, get the “hungry man special” 👍. This SJU Hawk highly recommends.

Yelp
Likely defeating the purpose of working out -- we just came from the gym -- I said, "Let's go for breakfast!" This is a quick update: returning to Llanerch, I told our server that I wanted a chicken salad sandwich, but last time they skimped on the chicken salad. "Got ya!" she said. And I ended up with my idea of a perfect sandwich. Lesson learned: speak up!

Yelp
Cute little diner - lots of local history - food was good ; service was good. Plus it's famous for the movie " silver linings playbook "

Amanda L.

Yelp
Great spot for any time of day. They have a wide variety of options and the food is always fresh! Loved the French onion soup. Grace is such a nice and attentive waitress.

Yelp
I took my wife to see the Llanerch Diner that was in the " Silver Linings Playbook " movie for a Sunday Brunch ! I'm a Upper Darby HS graduate in 1958! A delightful experience, bought a mug . Our waitress was in the movie ,,stating the movie crew was fantastic! They took over for 3 days , installed a new sign , painted and cleaned up the dining area ! The owners very happy !

Yelp
Totally shocked by the appearance of the food honestly everything was perfect besides the fact that my turkey bacon tasted a tad bit like pork may have been cooked before it it's somewhat fine I'll accept it but everything else was perfect food was great taking to go boxes as we speak and I'm gonna finish in the morning because it's 3:30 am lol service was great

Yelp
One of the best diners in the area. The interior/exterior is a total vintage lovers dream. Their breakfast is always really good.

Ellen C.

Yelp
Home of the Silver Linings Playbook booth. When you enter at 11:30pm and your server tells you she just put on a fresh pot of decaf, you know your in good hands. The place is a long standing go to diner in Delco. They are open late and have a standard diner menu. The seat of my booth is duct taped together. If you need fancy don't bother coming. If you need quiet stay home. This place is hopping and the food is hot and tasty. The place is clean and the staff knows their stuff. Yeah some dishes aren't perfect, but the fries are good, breakfast foods and soups work and desserts are delish.

Caroline H.

Yelp
we go here all the time, its the place to be. great late night vibes with gracie and will, some super friendly dope folks.

Peter S.

Yelp
Art Night Pollyanna dinner, lots of fun at the Lanerch Diner. Grace was great. she took good care of a hungry gang, hats off to her. Happy Holidays however you celebrate it

Victor G.

Yelp
Amazing dinner after a long night out. I got the hungry man and enjoyed it. Would recommend this dinner to anyone.

Carissa L.

Yelp
I ordered a veggie omelet, which came with home fries and toast. The quality was pretty standard for a diner - the veggies were a mixture of fresh and probably frozen. However, I appreciated that they were offered. A lot of places with veggie omelets have green peppers and onions, and that's about it - but this one had broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, and bits of asparagus. The home fries had no seasoning, but were cooked fine. These are all very typical for diners so that's why I'm giving Llanerch a 3/5: A-OK. I'm thinking the ambiance of a diner versus takout would have added more to the experience, so maybe I'll try again if the pandemic ever ends. (Please :gestures to no one and everyone: let it end!)

Yelp
Good diner food, friendly staff, somewhat reasonable prices, sunny dining room and counter service. With other local diners closing up shop in the last few years (Hot Spot, Manoa), other than chains like Perkins and iHop, Llanerch, which has been around for 70+ years and survived closing for a year after a fire during Covid has maintained its presence in the community. The diner scene from Silver Linings Playbook was filmed here and you can still sit on the same booth as Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. A solid place to have breakfast lunch or dinner.

Caroline C.

Yelp
I'm a Jersey girl who recently relocated the area, and I think this diner is one of my favorite places. It feels like, and looks like, being back at home in one of the Jersey diners I grew up with. There is a great breakfast menu, and the prices are reasonable. The servers are attentive. There is a nice bustle around Sunday breakfast, but it's very relaxed other times.

Liason T.

Yelp
Great spot. Friendly staff. Good food. Highly recommend!! Came for some dessert so it was a shame the cake case wasn't working properly, I was really in the mood for some pie (sigh!) First time I've been to a diner with no pie selection. Can't wait to come back! Hopefully they'll have some pie:)

Matthew C.

Yelp
Menus were awful. Duct taped seats. Food was gross, bland, and undercooked. Do not recommend.

Andy C.

Yelp
Omelet was dry and overcooked. Men's room was very dirty. I would have left if I went before eating. One extra star for pleasant, quick service. I'm never returning.

Andrew F.

Yelp
They are open until 1:30 until 3:00 if u go there i between those times ur chalked Foods goated love will Will

Ethan G.

Yelp
I don't know why there are so many negative reviews on here. Place was nice. Food was cooked, and hot. My server, I believe her name is Stevie, was attentive and thoughtful, despite a pretty decent amount of people in the diner, and just her and one other person serving. Prices were good, about $15 for one person (plus a dessert), as was the food itself good. Fries reminded me a bit of Curly's in Wildwood for some odd reason. I also got a little bit of cake as a little treat for myself. It was so yummy! Atmosphere reminded me of that genuine 50's type diner. As for dessert, cake was nice and fluffy and icing wonderfully decadent. Ice cream was thick and creamy. Additionally, I love how it's all day breakfast. Will definitely keep that in mind for next time I find myself here. I see myself hankering for some pancakes.

Yelp
It was a cold rainy evening with nasty weather forecasted so even though I was concerned there was only one car in the lot when I arrived, I gave it a shot. There were a few issues: * had to ask for silverware. * then had to ask for a napkin * my milk wasn't really cold and only 3/4 full. * my soup wasn't hot nor really warm- just lukewarm. All of that aside, the meal was called a mini meal and it was a great value at $9.99. Soup, roll with butter, entree with a huge side of pasta. Brought the pasta home for another meal. It was a run of the mill diner meal that was comforting on this nasty weather night. * Final issue was having to wait for my check while my server with her back to me finished her dinner seated at the counter 3 feet from me. I Consider this an issue because 3 other servers were standing around, facing me with my plate pushed away and no one volunteered to deliver a check to someone who was obviously done. Cmon folks there were only 2 other customers !!! This place is no way as good as the LLANERCH of old, Pre 2010 but it's ok and I'll try it again sometime And hopefully be able to add more stars.

Isaac D.

Yelp
So fire, if you don't go here your chalked. That stuff is so good I love it so yum!!!!

Christina N.

Yelp
Come here! It is so worth it! But don't come here at like 1-3am because I need a table lmao! It is so so good! Once I found this place I seriously don't go to any other diner and am here so frequent my wallet is mad at me! Gracie is always my server and she the sweetest queen ever and at this point knows exactly what I ordered every time! My recommendation that is fool proof: chicken tender with ranch (don't judge me) and Belgian waffles with ice cream.

Rezenkia S.

Yelp
False advertisement with business hours. Was 3:50am and arrived to a disappointing surprise of finding the business to be closed. With gas prices increased, not only was it expensive to travel there but it was also an inconvenience to discover the business to be closed when they advertise being open 24/7.

Ken C.

Yelp
We go often for breakfast. Good service decent food at a respectable price. Quiet, clean.

Ju L.

Yelp
Pros: Fresh salads. Tasty burgers. Large portion sizes. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Cons: N/A

Jeff H.

Yelp
This is a good diner and eating here gives you the diner experience. Oh yeah and it doesn't hurt that it was the location for one of the climatic scenes in the cool film 'Silver Linings Playbook' with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. A friend and I recently tested it out for a late lunch and we both felt positive about the experience. The food was very tasty from the different soups (a very delicious bean soup and flavorful chicken noodle soup) to the Greek Salad which came with our meals. My Greek assortment platter was huge with hefty portions of Moussaka, Pastichio, Spanakopita, and Dolmades. Half of it went home with me so it became two meals! My only question is - Why the tomato sauce and not the traditional béchamel sauce for the pastichio and moussaka? Service was friendly. And if you think greasy spoon' is a common adjective for a diner - think again. This diner was spotless clean!

Juan M.

Yelp
Average diner, not bad but I will say very good friendly service. Portions were average but then again it was only breakfast.

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Want to go to a no thrills place for good home cooked food, this is the place. My wife and myself came here for breakfast a few months ago and it was great. We came tonight to try out dinner and it was awesome. Our server Grace assisted us on both visits and she is really on top of everything. Our drinks never ran dry and as far as bringing out the food, it was well timed. Most places use instant mashed potatoes, this place uses real potatoes. Our food was good comfort food that reminded us of home. Do not judge the book by its cover as of you do, out will miss out.

Thomas B.

Yelp
It's really sad how far this place has fallen! Highlights of tonight's visit: - No greeting - Bathroom filthy / pee on the floo - Sat at counter for 5 minutes, both servers Walked by me at least 5 times each, Was totally ignored - One server finally stops and asks me "What did you want?" Note: I don't even have a menu yet - I finally get something to drink Note: They "ran out" of Iced Tea (That's a 1st - never heard that before) - I sit there for another 5 minutes. Again Completely ignored I leave.... This used to be THE BEST diner around pre-2010. Now they can't can't even handle a half full dining room with 2 servers Pathetic!

Marian H.

Yelp
Every time I go they never disappoint no matter the time I love there steak and eggs ohhh and there French onion soup let's not forget a good cup of hot joe to go with it. By far one of the best diners!!!

Anthony F.

Yelp
Food was good, seat was dated and the bench had some duct tape, server seemed eager to leave, and learned it was because a shift change. One big plus is it's one of the few remaining 24 hour diners.

Rachael B.

Yelp
The food was prepared fresh and it was tasty. This was our first visit. The exciting part of our dining experience is that we sat in the booth where they filmed 'Silver Linings Playbook' we will make another visit.

Terri F.

Yelp
They are price gouging. They charged $17 for cheese omelet with onions and tomatoes, home fries and $15 for cheese eggs with home fries and bacon. A dozen of eggs are under $2.

Denise V.

Yelp
Both glass doors were dirty and needed cleaning Fingerprints everywhere. Ordered a grilled cheese and tomato and the plate was so scratched it looked dirty .!!! Not a pickle or small side of anything served with sandwich. Very poor presentation .. Coffee was great and sandwich was very small .

Steven B.

Yelp
Will wonders never cease! The lovely wife and I just stopped in for a late dinner and behold; this Havertown institution now has a beer and wine license. The refrigerated glass case that normally holds the cakes and pies now is half full of bottled beer. Now that's my kind of desert case! Our waiter said they've had their license about two weeks. It's just the basics and bottles only. Bud, Michelob, Heineken, and two or three others. They are offered for $3 and change depending upon the brand. This has the potential of changing the crowd here. It's going to be interesting to see how it develops.

Kathy W.

Yelp
Was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but this used to be an old haunt of my husband so we stopped. It wasnt very crowded and our waitress was attentive. We both ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I got french o onion soup which was very hot and tasty. The chicken rice soup was good also. Got 2 large pieces of meatloaf, large helping of broccoli and large helping of potatoes which were real(had lumps) ! Was great and would come beck.

Courtney L.

Yelp
I've been to Llanerch before. It's always the same deal. Bad service, ok food, not a nice atmosphere. There is only one thing I have enjoyed consistently and it is the regular eggs benedict and even that isn't that great. I decided to give it another shot and bring my two friends there. We went around 10pm and had to wait almost 30 minutes before someone even came over to our table. When he came over we all ordered. My friend Danny and I both ordered wraps chicken Cesar wraps. Which on the menu states we get soup with the meal. He didn't ask us which soups we wanted so I told him I wanted the French onion. He didn't ask Danny what soup he wanted. My friend Shelby ordered sweet potato fries. When we finally got our meals, Danny and I both agreed that the chicken tasted like fish which completely turned me off to it. Shelby said her fries were ok. I thought my soup was mediocre. Overall, not the best experience and probably won't be returning to Llanerch very soon.

Ethan P.

Yelp
Food is Disgusting. Bathroom is Disgusting. Get Diarrhea every time I go. They are still trying to push the Silver Linings playbook thing and they have already pushed it into the grave. Don't focus on selling overpriced merchandise. Focus on selling quality food, which you must have forgot how to do. Also, their website hasn't been updated in like, 6 years.

Sheila W.

Yelp
Unbelievably refreshing to find a diner that knows how to be a diner. It's a throw back. The service and the food are awesome plus its the "Silver Linings Playbook" diner. Five Stars "Straight Up!!" I got the pancakes...big but lite. Next time I'm getting the home made quiche.

Bill D.

Yelp
Good breakfast food. A little rough around the edges, but it's a diner, not the Ritz Carlton.

Bruce P.

Yelp
no idea what's with all the bad reviews, the food was good & my waitress was super nice. She was so nice that I'm going to leave her a huge tip. People are so quick to bash places ‍

Ralph S.

Yelp
Great service & wonderful food! Got the hamburger steak with spinach and onion rings. Great lunch! Got to skip dinner!

Megan J.

Yelp
This is your average diner. The food was ok but it was nothing out of this world good. I came here after being out late at the local bars. I got french onion soup which seemed really watered down since the color of the soup itself was a kind of gray color. I then got eggs benedict. It was okay but the hollandaise sauce didnt taste like hollandaise. It was pretty bland. Being that this place is open 24 hours its super convenient but I wouldnt come here for a meal during normal day time hours.

Charlie E.

Yelp
This is one of those places that I wanted to like considering I live close by. Unfortunately, after walking in and seeing dirty, mold and dust everywhere, as well as smelling the place, I left immediately. Not a fan of places that can't clean up.

Tanya M.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times it's been great. The staff is on point, quality food at reasonable prices. You are in and out in a reasonable time but they don't mind if you hand out and read your paper.

Charles E.

Yelp
I never complain, I didn't even have a yelp account but when you order food from a place and it comes moldy that's a pathetic display of caring for the preparation of your food. I have gone here for years, decided to order myself out some breakfast and this is what I get. Looks like I will be going to one of the other local diners, where I don't have to pick through my food with a fine tooth comb to make sure it's not covered in mold. Hope no one else ate the bagels from Llanerch Diner today 10/14/18.

Karen F.

Yelp
My 10 year old came here with a good friend after seeing the Pope and got a stack of delicious banana pancakes. It looks like this place has been here for EVER but it's actually pretty darned good. Typical diner fare and family friendly.

Tamika S.

Yelp
Ok....my husband and I liked coming here & the food is good for the most part. I gave a low rating because of the cook on Sunday 1/8/2023. Here's what happened. I ordered shrimp scampi....shrimp, pasta & what's supposed to be a nice flavorful scampi sauce with onions, tomatoes, garlic, wine & lemon. No! I got pasta & shrimp with no seasoning & broccoli on the side. I said that it's ok to mix the broccoli in. It was super bland & taste like it was flavored with broccoli water. The waitress asked, how's your meal? I told her, not so good and that i couldn't eat it. It had no seasoning, no garlic, no onions, no lemon & no white wine.....nothing in a traditional scampi (just Parsley). The waitress apologized and asked if I wanted some sautéed shrimp with drawn butter. I said yes. She came back to our table and said that the cook is refusing to make anything else....with an attitude. The waitress was embarrassed and kept apologizing. She took the shrimp scampi off the bill including the drinks. I ended up eating half of my husband's meatloaf. Seriously....I've gotten more enjoyment from eating shrimp flavored oodles of noodles at home and with less attitude

Phil W.

Yelp
If you're looking for some good ole home cooking, this is the place. Had the turkey w/ mashed potatoes and gravy. Co worker tried the meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes and gravy. Both were great. Friendly waitress and good service! Next time in town, I'll be back.

Dawn G.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE the mini meals. The Chopped Steak and Broiled Salmon is our FAV! We received the BEST service from our waitress Carlin... Thanks Llanerch Diner
