"Though the cultivation of wine in Wales goes back as far as Roman times, there wasn’t much of an industry here for most of the intervening millennia — a few short years ago the mention of Welsh wines would have been met in many places with puzzlement. But the local craft has advanced quickly enough to produce not only some notable exports but arguably the first hotel of its kind in the UK: the surprising and picturesque Llanerch Vineyard Hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Anniversary wine tasting, dinner and b&b £440. Friendly staff, lovely venue, lovely room. Lunch with a few drinks added another £90 to the total. Wine tasting was informative and a welcome change to the norm. Internal dining tables a bit worn but nice ambience, food was ok but not outstanding. Bottle of wine in the room was a nice gesture, overall a good break and a nice experience.

What an incredible stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We did the wine and dine escape and we highly recommended!! It was our engagement celebration and Llanerch made sure our stay was extra special with lots of little touches. Vicky our tour guide on the wine tour was fab. The food in the evening was faultless. We honestly can’t wait to return

We came to Llanerch vineyard to attend our niece's wedding. So glad we decided to stay over. It is such a beautiful hotel and setting. The room was nice and cool and spotless. Wonderful to have those little extras like a coffee machine, fridge and bathrobes. The staff were so polite and friendly and made a very positive and upbeat atmosphere. We will definitely consider returning.

Lovely venue, could have been a bit more welcoming (hence why I removed a few ⭐) , but I guess it's expected at such establishments... Anyhow, the vibe outside was lovely and we had a good time regardless. Would be lovely for a romantic get away for sure

A great stay for our anniversary with the luxury stay package. Warm and friendly check in, room was great, clean & spacious with a lovely view and welcome note. Wine tasing with Vicky was fab. We sat outside for drinks but couldn’t stay due to the amount of wasps. Understand they can’t control them due to the vineyard but glasses and plates were left not cleared up for over an hour so this doesn’t help the situation. |Dinner was lovely but service was slow. Disappointed that breakfast was a buffet at such a nice place. |Grounds were beautiful and all staff were friendly. Had a great night sleep. Would visit again.

First time at Llanerch Vineyard Restaurant and it is such a lovely place to eat we had Lunch. Service is excellent, Staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions regarding the Menu. We ate inside but went outside to see the Grape Vines and take the air. Lots of outdoor seating you can sit at to enjoy the lovely views. It is a lovely place to be.

Very, very nice restaurant inside a vineyard. Superb preparation of food, and exceptional service by the friendly staff. The venue itself is comfortable and professionally fitted out with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a patio and the vineyard fields. Prices are very reasonable for a 5 star experience and service is timely without being rushed or stressful in any way. Warmly recommended.

Beautiful venue and lovely wine! Visited for the afternoon to do the taster session, have food and stay the night. Vicky was fabulous, very knowledgeable and very friendly! Really enjoyed her class. The restaurant was also lovely, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was nice and came quickly. I know it’s a family friendly venue but I’m not sure bringing kids here is fair on them. There’s nothing for them here to do and they were disruptive not only during meal time but they were in the room above us in the hotel. Very loud up until 11pm and then again at 6am which really spoilt the experience for us.

Yelp
A 5 star B&B resort which was amazing! More reviews on TripAdvisor if you want to see stellar reviews! This was a 3 day stay to tour around Cardiff and the surrounding castles. Loved their immaculate vineyard, restaurants, and beautiful room. Super friendly staff, responsive to any request, and quite easy to find time escaping. Restaurant, bistro, and wine bar are all excellent - had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast which was superb. Afternoon tea (reservation required) was also top notch - service was good too. Glad to stay here anytime visiting Southern Wales!

Yelp
Came here for Afternoon Tea and was not disappointed. Prompt and attentive service, nice decor, the vineyard provides a gorgeous setting and the Tea Service was TO DIE FOR! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
This is the largest and oldest premier vineyard in Wales, set amidst more than 20 acres of beautiful Glamorgan countryside yet just 15 minutes' drive from Cardiff. The vineyard offers guided tours, incorporates a cookery school offering workshops and courses, and also provides onsite accommodation for visitors wishing to stay overnight. It's a lovely place to stay if you want to be in a rural setting but within easy access of Cardiff and its attractions, with meadows and woodlands where you can wander as well as two lakes brimming with ornamental carp. Guests staying at the vineyard and other visitors can take a tour of the vineyard to see the six different varieties of grap and enjoy some tastings from their award-winning Cariad range of wines. They even offer gift vouchers if you want to buy someone a cookery course or guided tour as a present.

Yelp
The Welsh can't make wine... We just don't have the weather for it! However what they can do is create a beautiful retreat in beautiful grounds and serve good food. We went and met with some friends who were staying for the weekend and fortunately the sun was shining making it a beautiful day. The vineyards are right next to a lovely outdoor terrace and the grounds are accessible to the guests to wander around. There is a lake and piece of woodland nearby which is lovely for afternoon strolls. We did the wine tasting which was very reasonable at £6 to try the three wines. A dry white a sweeter white and a rose. To me the wines were nothing special. I'm no a big wine drinking but I found the dry to acidic the sweet too sharp and the rose the nicest of the lot but a little sweet for me itself. That said we don't have the weather for wine making and despite that it is drinkable. The food is lovely. We were able to mix and match the bistro and a la carte menus. I had the goats cheese starter from the a la carte. The double dragon fish and chips from the a la carte and back to the bistro for an Eton mess for desert. The goats cheese was lovely. A nice smooth cranberry sauce and beetroot. It was a good amount and tasted great. The fish and chips was fantastic. One of the best I've had. Light crispy fluffy golden batter. The cod was taste and the pea purée was beautiful, light and airy. With the tartar sauce and light fluffy chips I really enjoyed it. Finally my Eton mess was great. It was messy, a great mix of strawberries and raspberries cream and meringue. With my partner having three courses splitting a bottle of wine between two couples and some dipping bread the bill came to about £85. We found this to be reasonable with the quality of the food. We got to see the main suite at the place as well and have to say it was lovely. Nice lounge area with a sink and dresser for the lady and her make up a huge queen size bed and beautiful bathroom with huge overhead shower and freestanding bath. This is somewhere I will definitely come back and try at some point in the future. Overall a lovely experience. Good food beautiful surroundings at a reasonable cost. Note that in the summer. There will be a wedding on whilst you are there. So book to avoid disappointment and make sure they have availability. They also do a cookery school that I have not tried. However my partner has and says again that it is a marvellous experience.
