Don Luchi Prosecco Launches in Lowcountry Bottle Shops and Bars | Eater Carolinas

"A brewing partner whose representative, Jason Caughman, invited Wages to collaborate on a beer project; together they crafted a very specific peach wheat beer, but the release stalled because of distribution problems — potential distributors either didn’t respond or initially agreed and then stopped replying, preventing the beer from gaining traction." - Erin Perkins

Sorghum & Salt Hosts Collaboration with LO-Fi Brewing Company | Eater Carolinas

"A local brewery collaborating on a multi-course dinner by supplying a seven-beer lineup for the event; one offering is a Mexican lager featured in a green tomato michelada that’s paired with crispy oysters during the tasting menu." - Parker Milner

Google
Easy to miss I initially passed it and almost went home because it's in a warehouse next to a car garage. They have a small amount of beers and they were pretty good. The beertender was very nice. Recommend adding some signage for people who aren't familiar with the area.

Google
We had a great time, but the entrance and bathroom are not wheelchair accessible. I had to go in through the garage door, which was fine since it was up anyway, but the main entrance should be accessible for everyone.

Such an awesome vibe and laid back place! Glitter Pony and Blueberry Wheat are the best!

LO-Fi’s beers are perfect for cooling off in the sweaty Southern summers. I love the simplicity in their brewery; it’s a great place to sit back and enjoy some beers with friends, or hang out at the bar with the unicorn figures, just don’t miss out on this Northernmost spot of the brewery district!

Google
If your looking for the true local brew from Charleston here it is. Great crisp taste! The owner truly enjoys brewing and you wont even know he's the owner (at least thats what happened to me), he was my bartender! haha. Enjoy the rustic atmosphere before this beer becomes a million dollar product and moves. The lager is my favorite!

Google
Nice brewery with a real small chill vibe. GPS takes you to the wrong location, you turn into the empty lot before through a chain link fence

Google
Glitter pony trippel was as magical as could be expected and I was whisked away by the pure luxury. Rad location, super friendly staff! Scenic views of some pretty cool cranes if you’re into cranes. Also occasional passing trains.

Google
Simple... up and coming brewery. Good selection of core beers that are easy to finish. Great outdoor space, more of a industrial element being in a warehouse. Be mindful though.... The signage is small for now, it is easy to miss.

Yelp
2 words: GLITTER. PONY. Tasted like drinking sprinkles!!! Very fun and light brew, selection isn't overwhelming. Simple warehouse but you go for the brews. They have a stage area and folks were setting up so take it they have live music. Service was straightforward, no frills so that's fine with me. They offer some board games so that was fun to play outside, certain time of the day and the bench will be in the shade so it wasn't deathly hot. First time coming here thanks to the CHS Beer Trolley Service - great way to test out multiple breweries in a day!

Yelp
Nice afternoon with trivia and competition. Beer was fairly good. Breeze made it cold inside but they closed on of the doors. Had a good Sunday afternoon

Yelp
Not a whole lot a options, but the beer is good! Parking is easy, the beertender is friendly, the atmosphere is open, and, like I said, the beer is good!

Yelp
It's the spot. A one of a kind bar / music venue in Charleston. Great beer. Great service. Excellent music!

Yelp
Lo-Fi Brewing is not the easiest place to find. It is located behind an auto salvage yard with nearly zero visibility from the main road. I noticed the tops of some picnic table umbrellas over the tops of some junked cars on the third time we drove past the same spot. Finally we noticed a small pink & white unicorn sign that said "Lo Fi". The brewery itself is set in an old car repair garage. No air conditioning but the multiple, large open garage doors and numerous fans helped. There is a small bar and seating area around a stage. Outside was a large "patio" with multiple tables and umbrellas, again surrounded by junked cars. Their beers were good but really nothing stood out except for the Mexican Lager.

Yelp
We decided to check Lo-Fi out one Sunday afternoon. Definitely use your GPS to find, and just turn into it. The building is a warehouse type, with garage door entrance. The interior is modest in appearance, with several picnic tables available in the middle. The bar is small, maybe seats 6, and is set right next to the cooler. There's no a.c. but they have huge fans blowing around. And there was some decent 80s rock music playing. The beer, well it was good! Maybe 6 different ones on tap, we chose the Mexican lager and the Belgian triple. Dang that Belgian triple was smooth, crisp and so drinkable. We liked the Mexican lager too. Overall it's a micro-brewery just making good beer. No nonsense, easy going atmosphere that is drawing a crowd. Check them out. We will be back.

Yelp
Love this place and the vegan food truck, vegan demon! Wonderful atmosphere and vibe! Thank you for respecting mask exempt veterans!

Yelp
For your information: You will drive past it... Even if you're reading this now. I'm telling you, you will miss the turn. I understand everyone has GPS navigators, but you'll miss it... I'll tell you it's by the towing company, but you'll still need pull a u-turn. Anyway, the place is definitely more warehouse than others. That isn't for everyone. I came here for some Glitter Pony but it was kicked. Will say the staff was friendly and the music was good. I had the Mexican Lager which was good. The friends I were with really liked their Blueberry Wheat--though wheats aren't my preferred style. Hopefully some stouts are planned for winter. Real feel of a start-up brewery. Like some guy's dream. The craft brewery scene in Charleston is red-hot and I doubt some places enthusiasm, but this place you can tell. Also, you should check-out their website--it's super trippy--kinda funny.

Yelp
IPAs are delicious and reasonably priced. Saw a band at their brewery and had a great time.

Yelp
If you're wondering to yourself "I am in the middle of nowhere beside a towing company, there's no sign, is this really where the brewery is?" The answer is yes, please still go and check it out. LoFi is a microbrew that had 5 beers on tap when we were there last Thursday. They're located in a decently sized warehouse that has a number of picnic tables inside and good music playing. There are a couple picnic tables outside as well, but not much of a view to look at (mostly cranes and tow trucks). What they lack in location and view they MORE than make up for with their beers. The Glitter Pony is so incredibly drinkable and fruity yet is 8.4%. It's my favorite beer in Charleston--I tried it at a restaurant the day before and told my husband he had to try it too, hence why we ended up at the brewery the next day. The Blueberry (which is also available in local restaurants) and the IPA are both fantastic too (this coming from someone who really isn't a huge fan of IPAs). It's definitely got a quirky, chill, slightly weird feel, but those beers are way too good to pass up. They're doing great work here.

Yelp
My favorite brewery in town. The Mexican lager is on point. Industrial atmosphere and plenty of space to hangout. There's also a really sweet kitty hanging out on the property.
google avatar

Katy D.

Yelp
They may only have five beers on tap, but all five are tasty. This industrial space is used well and I look forward to seeing what they do in the future and how far they can go. Don't be put off by the parking lot, it is a real brewery. While I can't say I'd spend an afternoon here, it's definitely worth a stop. Plus, you gotta love a place that uses a pink unicorn as their mascot

Yelp
This is one of those places that you walking on you feel like you're at home. I really like the fact that one of the bartenders has flowers around the bar. We were on the mission that day and we came to taste some new beers the bartender was really really friendly and he let us walk around and see the beer equipment so that was very interesting and the beer is really nice. I also bought one of their T-shirts that has great quality and it fits me very well. I love the atmosphere and I will be back definitely. Also dogs are allowed there so very soon I will be going back there with my puppies that I cannot wait to see other peoples puppies

Yelp
I was pretty unfamilar about Lo-fi other than the fact that I've had their lager at a local restaurant and thought it was great. (It's their play on a well made Mexican-style adjunct lager - like Dos Equis, Tecate, etc.) After driving way up past anything that's familiar on Meeting Street Road, Google Maps tells me the brewery is on the right. Luckily I see a sign telling me to park in a large field. A huge opened garage door welcomes me into the brewery - this oddly beautiful, 1940s barrel vaulted industrial building that seems to be a work in progress for the owners. Immediately upon walking in to a song by Phoenix blasting heavy through some sort of homemade sound setup, I quickly realized this wasn't your typical local brewery. Their branding consists of a unicorn and disco lettering - all in pink. I saw no beards, and I didn't get that hipster vibe that I typically get when walking into a tasting room. Their beers are excellent, creative and some of the best in Charleston. The blueberry wheat was my favorite. It was a super light and cloudy that hits your nose with blueberry well before taking a sip. The blueberry wasnt overwhelming or fake. Another beer, the "Glitter Pony," is a incredibly well made Belgian tripel (so much banana and clove). In a time where Charleston seems to be stamping out breweries using an identical template, Lo-fi is refreshing reminder of everything a great brewery should be. I'll be back.

Yelp
The reclaimed industrial space is cute, and they've got plenty of parking. When I went, they had 4 beers on tap, a tiny bar that could maybe seat 6 people, and some picnic tables. No air conditioning, but the fans and opened garage doors made it somewhat bearable. Unfortunately, none of the beers stood out to me as unique or superior. With all the other breweries in this area, Lo-fi needs to do something to stand out amongst the others.

Yelp
In an odd spot, but not hard to find as some say. Beers are ok, lots of space in the brewery, small selection. Needs better air circulation, humidity is pretty bad inside, floors very wet.

Yelp
Ok, Lo-Fi, good work - interesting beer. Went there with a female co-worker who was laughably and completely creeped out by the exterior - next to a tow yard and basically an abandoned building. I've never scene a tap room try less - but that was part of its charm.

Whitney S.

Yelp
Rude service, watery beer. PASS. With so many brewer's to choose from in Charleston, SC I won't go back to this one next time I visit. I did like their unicorn design though.

Clay H.

Yelp
I base my review on one thing, the price. I purchased 4 beers, gave the bar tender 20%, and paid $36.00. This is nonsense! I loved the place, but the price? HEY BUISNESS, DONT OVERCHARGE! NOT COOL. I WON'T BE BACK. Clay
